This gym is called Paul Croll Boxing it's a top notch gym I love the hospitality and it has the feel of a old school Philadelphia boxing club plus its wheel chair accessible.

Great boxing gym. Honestly, the best boxing gym in Philly, in my opinion. No matter what level you're at. Beginning or High-level professional boxer, you will be accommodated in this gym. The MMA is not at the level of the boxing, by a long shot, yet they have fun and consistent classes and a cool, cohesive staff.

Please be advised I have not visited this gym. I was looking for more information so I clicked on the website link provided. Unfortunately, the link redirected me to a website to purchase viagra ๐คจ SO WEIRD! So yea that explains the one star. I took note of the web address before I was redirected and typed it into my search bar instead of using the link. I was able to reach the website using that method. Hopefully the owner or employees sees this. The link needs to be corrected. Iโll be sure to update if/ when I decide to join.

I've trained at so many places and Fight Firm is the best place that I've experienced in Philly. Devon is a great Muay Thai and BJJ artist and instructor and Mike is a real boxing coach who can easily bounce back and forth between the different skill levels of the people he's training to provide real growth for every individual.

You come to FF to learn how to fight, no bowing or belts here. You can learn: Boxing, Muy Thai, and BJJ. I come for the MT and BJJ and the instruction is phenomenal. If you are a beginner, advanced, or somewhere in between, this place is for you.
Lookswise, it's not the City Fitness of MMA gyms, but it's a fully functional gym with a boxing ring and octogon.
Weekdays is about drilling while Saturdays is open mat sparring/rolling day (at whatever level you want, newb to elite).

I've been to just about every MMA/Boxing gym within a two mile radius of Center City and Fight Firm is hands-down the best MMA training facility in Philadelphia. It is the real thing. I have been a member for two months now. My favorite class is boxing fundamentals class with Alby (sp?). It is a workout AND a learning experience. Devon, who is actually an accomplished MMA fighter, teaches Muay Thai and he makes training in a violent sport FUN. I like that it is a beginner-friendly gym. At first I was hesitant that I would have to fight someone the first week but I was quickly put at ease. I never have to actually fight someone but if I am confident that I will can kick someone's a$$ if I ever needed to defend myself.
If you are looking for a nice polished gym like LA Fitness, then Fight Firm probably isn't going to be the place for you. They are not a "commercial" gym and do not pretend to be. I strongly recommend Fight Firm for anyone serious about getting in shape, learning how to fight, or both.

Joining Fight Firm as a novice to the sport of MMA, I did not know what to expect. Immediately, I was treated with respect and given straight forward advice. I signed up for both 1 on 1 training sessions as well as the group classes- not only did I learn a tremendous amount in a short period of time, I also did so while having the best workouts of my life! Devon and Al-B are great instructors who truly care about their students and are vested in their success. They do a great job of integrating different talent levels during the class so that everyone is put in a position to improve.
Whether you're a pro fighter, starting out, or trying to get back in shape- I highly recommend Fight Firm

Tried this place out last winter. I thought this was a really good gym and I felt a spirit of camaraderie in the air which was really nice. I got the impression this gym holds a great community of men and women. I just felt unconformable with the coach/teacher in the session during my trial; felt somewhat judged the entire time so didn't really come back. Despite this, I would definitely still recommend! Just not for me

The greatest gym you will ever step foot in. I literally never rate or review anything but this is far more than worth it. Words cant do it justice. Come in and see what I'm talking about. Fun environment, serious workouts! It doesn't get any better. Fight firm is a Home away from home.

Have been training here for about a year and a half. The gym isn't too crowded so the instruction is more personal. Great atmosphere with great coaches.

I trained there, but I was not welcome. I walked in talked to Tuan Pham about training he gave me the run down and I joined. When I started they was friendly to get me into the door but after I was treated like I was some bum off the streets. The participants were all friendly and helped me a lot but the BJJ coach who did not know me by the way looked at me as if he didn't like me I wrote it off and tried to talk to him about training so he can see I wasn't a bad guy, I asked him to show me how to get out of a kimura lock and he told me and I quote "I don't tap until it's almost about to break" then looked at me as to say get away from me, I could see he had an attitude with not just me but other newcomers as well, but he was cool with the fighters and people that been there for years. I think his name was Edwin or something I know every martial arts gym has their cliks fighters hang with fighters, trainers hang with fighters and alumni, this is why MMA gyms are intimidating. Only places I never feel like I'm not welcome is Daddis and Balance studios some of the nicest trainers that are willing to make you a better martial artist they welcome everybody. Oh and one day I trained at fight firm on a Sunday when they have open mat. Everybody outside the gym was friendly and helped me learn new BJJ moves. I rolled with a lot of them and it was awesome but the same day a guy from fight firm came in and asked to roll I said yes and he got me in an armbar and locked my other hand with his legs so I couldn't tap and hyper-extended my arm and popped my elbow out of place that's why I don't go there anymore that made me leave for good and my elbow has never been the same since. I hold no ill will to any of them I hope they keep training, but learn that people are there to learn not be treated like dirt I hope they have success, but I will never go back. I only wrote this so fight firm can see it and anybody else that is thinking about joining you should definitely try it but if they are treating you like they did me leave before you suffer injuries like I did.

Fight Firm is an awesome gym for any level participant. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and the rest of the clientele are friendly and always willing to help. The first moment I stepped into the gym I thought, "Wow, this must be what Rocky felt like!!" Awesome place highly recommend it!

This places is great! They are serious about training, safety, and good community. Whether you've had experience elsewhere or are coming in the door as a newbie, they are always welcoming and will get you started.
Tuan and the gym offer a lot of training options from basic fitness to serious fight training. As small woman, I have to compliment the trainers and the gym members (majority male) for being respectful, encouraging, and training with me for real.
I cannot say enough good things- if you want to train in Philly, check out Fight Firm and Cool Hearts, they will deliver!

Great place, great instructors, great classes, lots of equipment and lots of different people. The place has character (the kind that Philly has to an outsider such as myself), with a slight ghetto feel but laidback while still serious in times of training.

Fight Firm to me "is" the best M.M.A., Martial Arts, and fitness center in the whole entirety of the city of brotherly love! Its a nice friendly environment, professional, courteous, to new members and people that just are interested in staying in shape, getting in shape, fighting as professional, or just as a hobby. Nothing is to big or small for the "Firm". Great ownership, and very well managed over all, once you start going its going to become like your second home. Honestly speaking its my home away from home, they are like my family now. Every one takes care of them self's with respect and look out for each other, you learn everyday something new there isn't a day that passes by that you wont learn something even form new people, questions and logics every one bring something to the table, even if they are amateurs. Nothing can beat a place that feels like family, I've been to other gyms in the city as I'm a personal trainer and martial artist my self, and definitely, "fight firm" has left an ever lasting impression. So come on down, we have even big shots going in and out, and you might get to meet some and even get tips, if your in the profession or a fan. Come join today one of the fastest growing gyms in the area, you wont regret it I've been going for over 2 years and "I haven't regret it yet"; id love to give a shout out to my mentors, Tuan, Rygiel, Justin, Drew, G, Devon, Aaron, Mike, Ed, Nah-shon, Kasey ,T , and many more you can learn from every one here!!!! Thanks for helping me grow as a fighter and may "Fight Firm" help many more!!!! ^_^

I love this gym! I am a woman and I do not participate in MMA - but I abosolutely love the kickboxing class. It is a serious workout from beginning to end but the instructors and the other students keep you going. In just a few weeks (along with changes in my diet) I began to notice obvious changes. I can't say enough about it.
Two things:
1- This is NOT an LA Fitness or Philly Sports Club kind of gym. Its all business. This is not a gym you go to to hang out and be cute.
2- if you're a woman, don't be intimidated if you're (sometimes) the only woman in a class. That happened to me a few times. The first time, I was a little nervous but once you get into the workout, you forget all about that.
Its a great gym!!

If your lookng for a clean nice type place to learn from, pictures are deceiving.....trust me on that.....this isn't the place for you...this gym is hard core and will teach you but its for the grimy fighter....they have equipment cage , ring and good people but the place isnt the nicest, but you will only pay about $90.00 a month and they do have good instructors....i was especially impressed with the bjj instructor, nice guy and good.....i watch him submit a big guy half his size in a sparring session.....
