We offer a variety of dance classes and privates geared towards adults of all ages. We offer yoga
(chair, Hatha, and Vinyasa,), Pilates, Barre, Tai Chi, cardiokickboxing, and beginner adult dance classes (ballet, jazz, hip hop and contemporary) and Reiki. We also offer nutrition, health and wellness coaching and personal training.

Fit for Life has had a positive impact on my mental, emotional and physical state. As a Tai Chi instructor Elizabeth is patient and works with each student at their own level. As a health coach, Elizabeth is insightful, caring and most important - non judgmental. It is a blessing to have someone like Elizabeth guiding and encouraging me.

For me, Fit for Life’s tai chi classes have offered an antidote to the stress of daily life, as gentle yet challenging tai chi practice has become an integral part of my weekly routine. Elizabeth teaches movements and forms that reduce tension and promote a tranquil state of mind. I appreciate that she explains both physical and meditative attributes of various forms. Although I attend classes virtually, through Silver Sneakers online, Elizabeth’s tai chi classes are held in-studio, and are open to all. I highly recommend them!

At a challenging time in my life, so much about me felt stagnant. This began to take a toll on my mind and my body. I was introduced to Tai Chi through Fit for Life Jenkintown, and it has become such an important part of my health regimen. The classes have helped me with anxiety, balance, and conditioning. I feel healthier and calmer. I have a more positive outlook on life, and I am more in harmony with what is going on within my body. In my profession, I encounter stressful situations daily, but how I handle those issues when they arise is vastly different now than it was in the past. I have a positive outlook and look for clarity instead of panicking when I face difficulties. I look forward to Elizabeth sharing her many areas of expertise. I now have tools that help me navigate my health journey. I believe Tai Chi has helped improve my quality of life.

Elizabeth’s Tai Chi class is amazing. I have taken other classes and hers far surpasses all the others I have attended. In addition, she is very knowledgeable, caring and she really listens to your health needs & will cater exercises to fit your personal needs. FFL offers many types of classes, I highly recommend her studio.

I take Tai Chi classes every Monday and Friday. I enjoy the classes because the instructor Elizabeth is very engaging. She will explain how to do the various practices. I find it very relaxing. I look forward to the classes each week.

Dance classes here are awesome! It is so nice to have a place to learn with other adults. So much fun!
Update! Tried the Tai Chi class here. It was a fantastic experience. The instructor is clearly highly trained. I learned more about the moves and how they connect than anywhere else. If you want to learn and practice Tai Chi, this is the best place!

Highly recommend this place, the owner has a fantastically pragmatic view on well being. Absolutely worth dropping by in person, or at least checking out the website for their online classes. Wide variety of options (Tai Chi, even) and exceedingly reasonable prices. Elizabeth knows what's up, check it out!

Linda's Tuesday night class was really fun and a good workout! I've only been able to attend one class so far due to my work schedule, but if I'm in the area soon I will try to come again. I would really recommend zumba with Linda - she has tons of enthusiasm and gets everyone involved!

Allyson has been so wonderful to me since the start of my “Bringing Healthy Back” journey at the start of this year 2020. I need to learn how to stretch and strengthen in order to train for a run. Allyson has shown me exactly how to execute each position, what it should feel like, and why it is performed. She is very thorough, and I feel that I am getting an education as well as a workout that is appropriate for my level of training. She has even shown me how to modify certain positions when I injured my knee. Allyson’s class reflects how very kind & caring & thoughtful she is of who you are and what you’re capable of if you communicate your needs and goals. This class of perfect for me!

I attend 7:30 AM yoga on Saturdays at Fit for Life because the instructor, Allyson, guides us carefully through poses that build strength, stamina and tone. Her gentle classes, and great choices for accompanying music, are unique and very enjoyable. I find this studio has more heart and deep caring for improving the health, or simply adding joy to the lives of its clients, than any others I've visited.

I arrived 15 minutes early for a 6am class as instructed then waited outside in the chilly air. The instructor finally showed up at 6:07 without apology. The class was a mix of boring and awkward. We started in child’s pose for three full minutes while the instructor texted on her phone and continued to do so throughout class. We did a standard vinyasa flow and sun salutations then randomly stopped the practice to do some inverted crunches and other core work before returning to the flow. We stayed in several poses for much too long and had several awkward transitions between. I usually sweat easily and never broke a sweat this entire class. Afterwards, I checked my fitness watch and saw I only burned half the calories that I normally do in yoga. This place is definitely not for me between the lack of professionalism and lack of rigor.

There is a positive energy at Fit for Life in Jenkintown. The owner really cares about the whole body--by evaluating your level of fitness both through nutrition and exercise. The trainers, whose expertise in so many venues of fitness is astounding, is a good reason to visit this new and emerging health facility.
