The reviews and photos of this gym should say enough, steer clear! The machines are always broken, the gym is truly disgusting and never cleaned. The staff sits on their phones at the desk all day. If they don't swipe people in anymore because we use an app, why can't they clean the location?

Truly, don't even waste your money, they will NEVER let you cancel. Their website lists only California locations to cancel, so they want you to go down in person. So we swipe in on our phones now, do everything on the website, but to cancel, we need to drive there or send a letter? The owner of this gym clearly is just in for the cash.

Old machines that are constantly broken and the machines that aren't broken are rusty and work poorly. Also, went to cancel my monthly membership and was told because I didn't cancel within 30 days of my next billing cycle that I was going to be charged when it comes around next time. What a stupid and impossible policy. Don't go here.

This place will NEVER remove your info from it's marketing database after you leave & request them to stop marketing to you. I moved away & cancelled my membership & they still send me garbage marketing regularly. Do you think you can trust your personal info to this company when this is the case? The link to remove your data has a VIRUS attached to it & 3 other virus scanners that I use say the link is going to be a TOP security risk. I wish I NEVER joined this place. NOBODY responds to your marketing stop requests. There's NOBODY who cares about anything with this company.

only reason they’re getting 1 star is because zero isn’t an option. robbed me for $180 when i haven’t been there in 6 months. terrible equipment and terrible service as well.

Source: Google

I would give it zero stars if I could. Broken equipment all over. It’s filthy dirty. And they closed the childcare room permanently with zero notice given to long time, loyal members. Emails to management go unanswered. Save your money and health and work out literally anywhere else.

Started here 3 weeks ago. Used to go here when they first opened and was disappointed that machines are often broke. You cannot change the settings on some as the pins are stuck. The handles on many of the machines are broke. I overlooked these issues as they were one of the few places that include childcare. Found out yesterday they are stopping it on April 30th. If I knew this at the beginning of the month, I never would have joined. I will now need to waste a month subscription for a service I cannot use because they changed the contract without 30 days notice.

Nice gym but the lack of showers really ruins my workout. It’s a hassle to drive to this gym then head home to shower which adds an extra 25 minutes to my morning commute.
Very disappointed they are set up to be a nice athletic club but they do not have the basics.

Source: Google

Payton Fleszar

β˜… 1

Leaving up a 1 star until they decide to fix the handles. People keep ripping off the rubber and it forced you to grab onto the nasty, sticky, germ ridden adhesive that used to hold the handles. Duct tape would be a temporary fix but management is too lazy to do any basic maintenance. Gym upped prices in past year yet maintenance is worse than ever

Wood floors are filthy with sweat and grime. Same for cardio and weight machines.
Never saw ANY cleaning beyond vacuuming mats over 6 months.
Always broken equipment. SLOW to repair.
Will be leaving.

I joined yesterday because I discovered the location closest to me has precor brand ellipticals. And precor is # 1 in my heart. So I'm so excited about that. I love that it's 24 hours! It's definitely a gym and not a spa. The vibe there is for people who actually want to workout. I'm super happy that I joined!

People leave their garbage on the floor around the gym. The ceilings drip water because they don't change the humidifiers. There is currently a puddle by the lat lull down station. The windows and mirrors are disgusting. There is tumble weeds of dust dirt and hair all around the squat racks. I have now told two employees about this over the last few weeks. Nothing has been cleaned. I give the week day morning guy credit, he at least stays awake during his shift. Most of the morning people have just slept at the front desk the past few years. Paper towel dispensers run at a 50 percent rate of being empty. The employees have a 50 percent pass rate on being able to fill the paper towel dispensers as well. Also the ceiling in the basement has been leaking for years. Not when it rains so that makes it more disgusting. Fitness 19's solution is buckets.

It's been over 3 weeks. They haven't fixed the ceiling. Now there is black mold. The humidifiers never get emptied and it is currently raining inside the basement.

At first they didnt have enough plates, but now they fixed that and plus some, even added a few more hammer strength machines only thing could use a few more cables but besides that every thing you could want from a gym.

Location is convenient. Used to come here in 2018 as well. I switched her not two weeks ago and already am cancelling. Gym is dirty. Period. Some cardio equipment is broken and a lot of everything else is in varying levels of decline if it isn't brand new. Ratty rubber handles that aren't repaired. Some of the equipment smells terrible (like petting zoo almost) because it's never cleaned. Layer of grime on bathroom doors that doesn't look to have been cleaned in years. Shame really, because it's very close. I'll stick with my prior gym. Staff wasn't very clear on cancellation as well, so I hope I'm not charged more than my contract states.

This place is affordable with free parking and childcare which I give 2 stars for that. However they took out the aerobics room and there is no more trainers or classes. Further they only let you use the message chair once a day and their other extras only once a day which isn't worth the membership even if it's affordable. Also they will charge you a 15 dollar late fee every month even if you told them you no longer want the membership with the extras on it. I didn't go for a whole half a year due to an injury. I paid up and said I no longer wanted the extras on my membership since you can only use it on a limit of only once a day. When I came back they had charged me 15 dollars every month from the time I left. I had over a 100 dollars in late fees. I told them that's inaccurate explained the situation to them and just left. I ended my membership. Definitely not worth it...

Affordable rate, good equipment, and the classes I’ve been able to attend are incredible! Child care being offered is awesome, but I wish they’d do more than an hour so I could attend two classes back to back if I wanted. Also, they haven’t found someone to keep their website updated since the COVID restrictions liftedβ€”class times aren’t current, and if you don’t yet know how the childcare works, you may be turned away at the doorβ€”they only take 8 at a time and they want you to call and reserve a spot (the site only says when they’re open). I plan to be patient though; they were getting all of this stuff spot on before the pandemic, and it’s absolutely a great value if they get the bugs worked out again.

Fitness 19 in Caste Village is clean and not crowded. There's a high number of machines and free weight options available. For the most part, all were in working order (one machine wasn't, but there was a duplicate available.) The number of lockers for stashing clothes while working out was adequate. The value for the price is very good.

I have a member since July, 2011. I have always found it to be a very pleasant place to work out. There was a time when the gym was not very clean. When Kayla came on board the cleanliness returned. My issue is the customers who drop the dumbells and scare you to death. Also, there was a guy who sat on one machine scrolling on his phone all the time I used about 15+ machines. Never did get to use that one that day. I had come back after the gym reopened during this pandemic but there were too many who were not wearing masks. I live even closer to the gym than I used to so I may come back even though my new apartment complex has a small gym.

Not safe during the pandemic and cannot recommend.

This place has usually been a 5* review from me based on value, range of equipment, and decent hours. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this location until they start enforcing their own (and PA's) pandemic rules.

They state at the door that they require masks upon entry, but that means nothing when after entering over half the patrons uncover their noses and a quarter of them opt to just wear their masks as "chin diapers" (not covering their nose AND mouth). This has been a problem since the beginning of the year and has only gotten worse. Every time I go, I spend half my workout avoiding the literal mouth-breathers.

The "Perfect" workout facility. No (dirty) showers, No (germ carrying) saunas & No (bacteria transmitted) swimming pools. Just a great place to get a good workout or sweat. The guys and girls that work here couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. They keep the gym clean with constant disaffecting wipe downs. They also mandate the Masks during this tough times. Wearing masks on your chin is NOT accepted. They MUST cover your mouth and nose....Kudos to workers and Management.

Having avoided this gym since covid19, I’m happy to say that I am pleased to return this week to a much cleaner & covid compliant gym. Masks are required to enter & they pleasantly take your temperature as you enter. Employees are all wearing masks.I have never seen this facility as clean as it is now. I watched Michaela wipe down multiple surfaces (including the lockers) in addition to numerous machines, during my workout. The entire gym and restroom look and smell better ever. Looking forward to continued attention to details as I resume my workouts. Thank you.

Membership rates can be had for reasonable monthly rates. Please be aware that there are no showers and there are limited restroom and changing facilities. It can get quite crowded at the usual times (i.e. after work) but it's fairly empty during off hours.

I am glad to see the upgrades on the ground floor, with the newer weight training equipment and the studio for classes. But the first floor needs some attention as there always seems to be cardio equipment out of service and the TV monitors attached to a few machines rarely work.

Over this gym is good. Plenty of room for various activities; lifting, cardio, stretching. Has enough machines and free weights to satisfy. Some of the barbells are a bit beat up and bent, but that’s a pet peeve of mine . Over all they function and work fine. Pretty much the only negative thing about this gym is the restroom situation. One toilet for the men’s and I suppose one or two for the ladies. And they are not very clean. I’ve been going here for a month now and I think the toilet in the men’s room hasn’t been cleaned. Also no showers or sauna which I guess is more of space issue. Would be nice to get rid of the the area that has the massage table and hydro message machine and place showers there. I find that area pretty useless but I guess it appeases to some. Overall, not a bad gym. Just lacking in restroom facilities and cleanliness.

β˜… 3

I really like what this gym is trying to accomplish, but it needs some work. They are investing enough to remodel and expand in the downstairs portion, but then they don't clean and are always out of the cleaning wipes for users to wipe down equipment. Plus, with the remodel they didn't utilize any of the new space well at all. If anything it's more cramped upstairs and the downstairs is nearly unusable. The dumbells were combined in a corner so everyone is on top of each other. There aren't enough cable machines (like we need one more on the second floor), and the only Smith machine they have is cramped right next to a chest bench... oh and it's broken. Just many little things that add to each other to be disappointing. Please work through these to make your changes and investments worth it!

Overall a great place. I technically joined at the Greentree Rd location, but I spend about 30-40% of my workouts at Caste. Similar to Greentree, the clientele is a good mix of middle agers, college/HS kids, and older folks. The overall vibe is relaxed and courteous, w/ everyone just doing their thing. Overall- the place has something for everyone and pretty much has everything anyone would need. Downside is no generous space for stretching or doing mat work.

I've been a member for almost two years. When I first signed up they told me the more I paid for the initial start up fee the less my monthly bill would be. I paid $170 for two people and my bill was $10 a month. What I DIDN'T like about the place was the machines are usually dirty and the staff aren't very outwardly friendly, mostly money motivated. I wanted to bring my 15 year old sister one day as a visitor bc she was staying with me and they said it was $10 for a guest.. that's more than a night movie ticket.. needless to I left angry. I would complain about the renewal fee but they messed it up and I was only charged $15 instead of $40 but they didn't care to correct it they said 😊 the only reason I've kept the membership is bc it is literally 3 sec down the road.

I went to this gym for some time about 3 years, the gym itself is fine for what any exercise person would want out of it. But a guy named Anthony there seemed cool at first but after time he told me if I signed up 5 people he would lower my monthly payments by 5 dollars. Well after I signed the 7th person up he still didn't stay strong on his promise. Another situation happened with the same person. As I was leaving Fitness 19 he stopped me and my friend and tried to give me fitness tips. I have attended gyms in the past and I am well educated knowing what it takes to be fit. I dismissed his tips by telling him that's not my way and he got a real taunting attitude with me, he told me that some random guy passing by outside the building (a heavy obese man) was my brother because how out of shape he was and that I wouldn't lose a pound. Now not only was I being insulted so was this passerby. The way I see it those unfit people are the biggest business for a place like this so they just insulted their biggest client.

So after 3 years of being a member and maybe less then 1 1/2 years of actually going I decided to cancel. I was told I still owed 2 payments, but I been paying for more then or about 2 years so I figure they shouldn't be patronizing me for more money.

So like I said the gym itself is decent, but the people aren't as decent. If the gym wasn't as nice itself I would have only gave 2 stars.

I was a member of Fitness 19 for over five years, which equates out to over $1000 spent in dues. My experiences in the gym were generally positive, but the final interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I moved to an area of the city without a Fitness 19 within reasonable driving distance. I walked in to cancel my membership. I had already paid for the month within which I wanted to cancel. Simple enough, right?

No. They attempted to squeeze out one more month of dues, saying I could continue to use the gym for five more weeks. This made no sense. I had to get my bank to cancel any automatic debits, which they tried to take out.

If you cancel, make sure to give your bank a heads up.

Last impressions are often just as important as first.

Although I have not been to this location, I give a 5 star rating due to how polite and willing to help the employees and manager are, even on the phone! In this day in age, respectful and customer service are seldom together, but in this case they are.

Amy, the manager, is a very sweet lady to almost everyone. Although I am a lesbian look chubby mid-40 Chinese, she still treats me nice without a judgment.
Then, you look at the price, $25/month plus $19 Dues Lock-in Fee with no commitment. It's not bad. Planet Fitness boasts $10/month but there is 12 months contract. LA Fitness $29.95/month with $99 initiation fee, but not sure about their fine print. I was misled by LA Fitness. I will not trust what their advertisement. You have to read the contract to find out the real deal.
Although there is no swimming pool as LA Fitness does, the environment is far more welcome and friendly. People in the gym are friendly too. It's probably a good place to make some new friends.
They also have the machine to measure and analyze body fat (included in monthly fee, once a month), and trainers and nutritionists to help you reduce where your body fat is. For trainers, I paid $162 for six sessions. Today I had my first session. It almost killed me. So, it's a real deal. Yeah, you can go with Nadeem. He is serious on training your weakness and areas for improvement. After that you can work on your own and get more results.
Bottom line, this is a pleasant experience.

Staff is great. Pretty good job at keeping the gym clean. The only area that never seems to be touched is the bathroom.

I'm pretty sure that the proper thing to do in a gym when someone asks if they can "workout with you" is to say.. "sure" and let the person jump in real quick. Everyone is there for the same reasons, no one is there to intimidate you... the world isnt revolving around you. There the gym is busy yes.. other people are doing the same exercises as you. Soooo with that being said...help support everyone in their goals.. what ever they may be.. and share the gym.

SMILE!
