So many cons.

You cannot pay for a yearly membership. If there are any issues with autopay you will get slapped with a $20 fee. In this particular case, the card that was used to pay the monthly fee was cancelled due to fraudulent charges. As a result, payment could not be made and the fee was charged. Explaining the situation to them fell on deaf ears. A backup payment method would be so helpful, but they do not offer it.

Who knew there was a student membership or a 3 month membership? No one because it is not on the website!!!

Lastly, you have to pay a yearly fee of $39 to guarantee your monthly fee will not increase, how ridiculous. Just call it an annual fee for being a member.

I'm leaving a 2 star review because the gym and equipment are great. Be aware that when it come to anything related to billing, management turns a blind eye and couldn't care less.

I was at a leg machine when the owner came up to me and told me to hurry up and get off my phone. I told her that I take 2-3 minute rest times and she started saying that people that come in are in a rush and or on their lunch break (I don’t know anyone who goes to the gym on their lunch break). Canceled my membership a week later. I now go to this gym called fitness factory and never had a problem again

It's a great gym with a friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choices for cardio and strength training. The place is always clean and well maintained. There are also tanning beds available and a smoothie bar. Memberships are very reasonably priced.

Imagine if you will paying your monthly membership to support a business through a pandemic and an employee failing to do their job and updating your payment information. I have been a member of this gym for a very long time. Extremely impressed by all of the new Covid safety precautions they have taken to ensure proper protection; not only for the costumers but for the staff as well. This gym has always been extremely clean and now it is next level! The machines are great- they have everything you need. The smoothie bar is so convenient when you are in a rush and you can’t beat the membership price!

Horrible. The little troll woman owner who thinks she is 20 is the town gossip. She talks about everyone to anyone. My wife cancelled her membership before being deployed to Iraq in person AND THEY NEVER DID. They continued to charge $10 a month for 9 months. After she got back to the states she went and spoke to the owner who REFUSED to refund her money even after admitting it was the employee who cancelled the membership incorrectlys fault.

I became a member several years ago and I always loved this gym. Even while I was working at another gym I would still come to the Fitness Club to tan and work out. The location of this club is perfect as it is close and there is always plenty of parking. The employees have always been great in making it a point to greet me and also to remember my name even when I did not come that often. All of my family members also have been coming to this gym for years and they have always appreciated the employees here. Most importantly, it’s always awesome to see that the owner and his wife are actually present in the gym whether they are working behind the desk or working out and talking to everyone!

The gym itself is reasonably nice and has a decent amount of amenities for a good price. The 2* review stems from something that happened to several other members and I.

Three of us had been going to the gym for about a year and we were happy with it. So happy, in fact, that we all wanted our wives and girlfriends to join with us. So, we each brought our significant other with us one night with the intention of having them sign up; but, they still wanted to check the place out first to make sure they liked it.

I asked the woman at the desk (one of the owners) if we could show them around for an hour or so before they sign up. She launched into a bitter tirade about how we were trying to rip her off and how “if she lets them in, she’ll have to let everyone in.”

I tried to explain that none of her argument made any sense - we didn’t want anything for free, just a standard tryout (like every other gym in the world gives). She continued to chastise us, so we decided right there to cancel all three of our memberships and leave.

This club literally had three young men trying to recruit customers for them and they treated us like garbage. Instead of having six paying customers, they got zero.

To me, this kind of behavior from an owner suggests problems down the road for members.

Company is horrible, tried charging me 116$ for missing 1 payment due to a change of card, they charged my old card 5 times which resulted in a 20$ fee each decline. Never once called me to ask about it, instead filled an asset collections suet the next month. Horrible. On top of that I got a new promotion at work and have been there once since i have registered.

I've been a member for 3 years, and it was a sufficient gym in helping me get on track with my fitness journey. But the more interested in lifting I got, the more I realized this is not the place to go if you want to make big changes! I was told not to "bang the weights on the ground" when I was trying to deadlift, yet there is no designated area for this lift or deadlift mat to do so. The equipment is often broken, and there is not even wifi or water fountains available for members. I plan on joining another gym soon.

I really enjoy the Fitness club. decent equipment, nice people, and fairly low monthly rate ($60 to join, 10 a month) as of writing this review. Biggest issues with this gym is that there are no water fountains because they want you to buy water bottles there. Also, the place is a little cramped sometimes. overall pretty good local gym.

This gym is a great gym for the price. I have gone here for about a year now. They have lots of cardio machines to choose from and just as many weight training machines to choose from. I have always had friendly or positive experiences with the staff. They do require a towel but I think that is just fine. I would rather have people carry towels with them then sweat all over the machines. I also feel if you forget your towel, which probably happens to everyone, they are not mean about it and don't hunt you down either (I have once or twice and never had any problems). I just wish they had a little bit lower of a price range for their personal trainers as well as more options/plans that you can pick from. I like this place a lot and give it 4 and 1 half stars! :-)

Fitness members beware!! When you try to cancel your membership they are not cooperative. My son left for Parris Island at the end of November. His orders got switched around in in the middle of all that his grandmother passed away. Neither one of us got to the club in time to write the required letter. However we did call several times. Got no where. Less than two weeks later I got a letter from a collection agency for his monthly dues. Even though we both called several times to take care of this before he left they tried to take the money out of his account. His account was not even three weeks passed due. I wrote the collection agency who forwarded my email to the owner. Basically he did not care. Thank you Fitness center for supporting our military and or being open to circumstances that are beyond ones control. Would not recommend this place to anyone!! minus 5 stars!

I have been a member here for several years and love the Fitness Club! There is a wide variety of equipment offering both aerobic workouts and weight bearing exercises. It is ALWAYS clean, well run and the staff has been consistently friendly, polite and helpful. In addition, the members are helpful and friendly with no yelling or foul language. You will see a wide variety of body shapes and ages of members, as well as all levels of fitness and that, in itself, speaks volumes of the Club and the members that have been attracted to this facility and who remain steadfast in their goals towards physical fitness. The antagonistic comments posted here are astonishing to me! I can only imagine that those very few who have exhibited inappropriate behavior or attire and were asked to leave, have gone home to their computers to yell.... For the cost and health benefits, you cannot afford NOT to be a member at the Fitness Club!

Save your self the headache and go to a real gym.

As others have stated the management isn't the greatest at this establishment, even after reading the poor reviews I decided to try it since it was only $10 a month and was the closet to my employer at the time. I will list pro’s and con’s then list the other issues below so you can quickly review. I would also advise you to check out them out at the BBB, they have a poor rating and multiple complaints.

Pros:
- Large Facility
- Nice equipment
- 30 Minute workout area

Cons:
- Small Locker Rooms ( You will always be changing right on top of someone else)
- Required to have a towel with you at all times during workout
- No towel service – But they will charge you for using one of their towels.
- 30 Minute workout area is supposed to be used by people doing a 30 minute or express workout, this policy is not enforced and anybody uses it
- Poor Management

I had to report them to the BBB because they continued to charge me after I mailed them a cancellation letter in which they said they did not receive. Then they wanted to charge me $25-$30 because the credit card they had on file expired and I did not notify them about it….I canceled the membership so obviously I wouldn't notify them of it.
After I submitted a claim to the BBB that is when I seen they had other claims by other members with the same problem. The claim prior to mine was supposed to be corrected by notifying members a month in advanced about an expired credit card and when that was brought up they said they didn’t have to obey it….so I hope they use the money they took from me while I didn’t attend the gym to improve their services.

I have been a member at this gym for close to 7 months and it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. I can't say if its due to the time I go (5 AM weekdays) or if things have changed from more than a few years ago, but the staff is always friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The sign-up process was very straight forward and the cancellation policy was reviewed upfront (written letter hand delivered, 30 days prior to cancellation date). From there it was off to the races... or exercises.
For a $10 monthly fee, they have a rather impressive array of cardio equipment, free weights, and weight machines. They may not have the latest, greatest piece of equipment or cardio machine, but everything is clean, and laid out in a spacious manner to allow for plenty of room to exercise at your own pace.
My personal favorite is the other gym members. You have your fair share of serious lifters, cardio nuts, and fitness crazies. Yet, there is no snobbery or intimidation to be found. Everyone is there to do there own thing (with some ribbing and joking for fun) and are just down to earth people. There are fancier gyms in the greater Easton area; for the price, the equipment, and the people you won't find a better deal. Highly recommended for any local residents looking to get back in shape!
