Joining Forward Thinking Fitness was one of the best decisions I made for myself and my health/wellbeing! I've always struggled with consistency and finding balance with incorporating exercise into my life. Now, for the first time ever, I finally feel like I have a sustainable program that works for me! Having a trainer to guide me along through workouts is extremely helpful and beyond valuable. The semi-private and small group formats are perfect for people like me who deal with anxiety and are easily overwhelmed by the thought of walking into a gym and figuring out an appropriate workout. At Forward Thinking Fitness, all the guess work is eliminated so your focus can be on simply showing up and moving your body. The vibe there is awesome with dim colored lighting and bumping music to fuel you through workouts. Evan and his team are very welcoming, friendly, and supportive. It has been great having someone to hold me accountable while continually cheering me on. FTF's mascot, Link the dog, will never fail to make me smile even when my muscles are sore! I’ve been going to Forward Thinking Fitness in Trexlertown for about 4 months and have already lost almost 40 lbs! I’ve made small tweaks to my diet and routine, but I’m not killing myself to do it — classes are just 25–40 minutes, and they rotate focus each week. It’s a small time commitment with big results, and my energy has never been higher.
I was hesitant about joining group classes at first, but everyone here is on their own path with zero judgment. Whether you like to keep to yourself or chat a bit, the atmosphere is friendly and supportive.
Evan and his team are incredible. Sam (the dietitian) keeps me on track with realistic goals, and new trainers like Elise bring awesome energy. The app is easy to use, scheduling is flexible, and Evan truly works with you when life happens.
Can’t recommend FTF enough — amazing results, great people, and a community that truly cares.

When I first came to Forward Thinking Fitness, I was in rough shape and constantly in pain. Since starting with them in April 2025, the progress has been amazing. I’ve gone down a full size — from XXL/16–18 to XL/14 — and I’m noticeably firmer with real shape showing through. Best of all, I’m no longer living with daily pain.
The energy here is always positive, the environment is welcoming, and the results truly speak for themselves. EVAN and his team are truly amazing! If you’re looking for more than just a place to exercise — if you want guidance, accountability, and a supportive team in your corner — Forward Thinking Fitness is the place. From the moment I met Evan (the owner and one of the trainers), I could tell this place was different. I had toured other gyms and felt like just another number. But Evan actually sat down with me, asked about my goals, listened, and made me feel like he genuinely cared about helping me succeed. That alone sold me.
And since then, it’s only gotten better. The community here is amazing—it’s like a big gym family. Everyone supports each other, pushes each other, and celebrates each other’s wins. It’s the kind of environment that makes you actually want to show up.
Evan is constantly checking in to make sure you're feeling good, staying motivated, and making progress. If you ever feel stuck or hit a plateau, he’s right there with ideas, encouragement, and solutions. I also love the regular checkpoints where we track progress—you get to see the results of your hard work, which keeps you fired up.

Osteopenia, osteoarthritis, and menopausal weight gain. What? I’d been diagnosed and dismissed by the local medical community as “an elderly and petite woman who should expect these maladies of normal aging” and was told I just have to live with it.
Not this gal.
I found a Zumba class and attempted a haphazard, self-directed exercise routine shortly after. Not seeing results, I started looking for real professional help and stumbled upon Forward Thinking Fitness. I just knew I needed a personalized training routine with supervision.
FTF really fit the bill! Evan and his incredible staff are true professionals who treat each client individually with respect. Their approach to health and fitness is a holistic experience for each unique person. Not only is their personal training the main draw, they also include nutrition therapy and even offer yoga classes next door at BeWell with my custom plan! It’s all part of the package.
I really enjoy coming to the Semi Privates where I feel like I’m getting one-on-one attention while feeling like I’m part of a courteous community. I couldn’t be more happy with my progress as I’ve already lost 6 lbs. of fat and gained 2 lbs. of muscle in two months!

I've always known how important strength training is, but really dislike big box gyms, am not disciplined enough for training at home (plus equipment is limited) and more than anything, do not have the expertise or time to develop a proper workout plan. So finding Forward Thinking Fitness (a/k/a FTF) has been a game changer. This is a small business in the community with coaches and trainers who truly care about your progress and success, offering a holistic approach to fitness and health. The full body strength and conditioning workouts (offered in semi-private and small group setting) are personalized to your fitness level with a big focus on proper form, which we all know is super important. FTF also has a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist on staff if you want help with a personalized nutrition plan, education or just simply keep you accountable. FTF membership also includes yoga sessions that are offered several times a week and bi-monthly body composition measurements and mobility testing to track progress. FTF is an inviting, non-intimidating atmosphere with dim lighting, great music, awesome coaches/trainers, extensive array of equipment, and just all-around awesome people. For the first time, I have found a place to help support my ongoing fitness journey for the long-term! Highly recommend!

One day I had the urge to join a gym after reaching a standstill in my weight loss journey, but the thought of joining a public gym was terrifying. I decided that personal training would be best for me, so I went straight to Google. When I found FTF I was excited that I'd possibly found a gym that I would feel comfortable in, but I was also scared to take that first step. I didn't think I'd push myself to make the phone call but somehow I did and I have no regrets. Evan and his team are amazing. They give endless support and are always ready to help me push myself to the next level. They are so accommodating to my needs and the intensity of the workouts are tailored to my level so that I can exercise in a safe way. My husband and I joined FTF earlier this year. Evan conducted a detailed analysis of our body composition and lifestyle and suggested a 12-week program of the group fitness classes with a check-in half-way through. These classes are offered four days in a week, three times a day so it was possible to find a time that worked for us. The exercises were well designed and based on the level each one was in. The exercises were different every time - sometimes individual and self paced and other times they were timed and with a partner. The heart monitor they provided us gave a clear break up of our intensity levels through the session and was helpful in knowing if we were pushing ourselves. Evan and other trainers were there to monitor us, correct our postures, find alternatives, and answer questions. Strongly recommend working out 4 times a week and modifying the diet for optimal results. Evan provided a few consulting sessions for my husband with the new nutritionist who provided us with great and easy recipes for a protein rich vegetarian diet!

I am so grateful that I discovered Evan and his team when I decided I was ready to commit to a gym. Forward thinking fitness is so much more than a gym! I grew up as an athlete so I was no stranger to cardio, however, strength training was something completely different and I had no idea where to start. I knew that I needed it but didn’t know what workouts to do or how to do a lot of it correctly. I went in for my initial meeting with Evan and he listened to my concerns and goals and he helped map out an obtainable plan to reach them. I joined and decided I was going to do this for me! My experience at Forward Thinking Fitness has been extremely positive. I have been attending sessions there for the last 4 months. Between the typical stresses of adult life and an extended illness and loss of my father, I had neglected my health for years. I realized that I needed a program with guidance, support, and accountability to achieve the results that I wanted. Forward Thinking Fitness has been the perfect gym for that!
Both the staff and the clients have been extremely supportive, creating a welcoming environment. Having minimal formal gym experience in my past, I had been intimidated by the idea of starting. However, the trainers, Evan, Ryan, and Jamie are excellent. They have empowered me to achieve and grow through both guidance during the sessions and answering my million questions when I am working to master a new exercise.
I enjoy the range of exercises as well as the opportunity to attend yoga classes. This variety ensures that my fitness journey remains challenging and never boring. I began small group training at Forward Thinking Fitness four months ago and it's been a very positive experience. The difference is at FTF there's no guesswork. Initially you'll be evaluated and then reevaluated after eight weeks with measurable printed out results. You just need to show up and you're led through your workout. I've personally seen not just physical progress but an increase in energy and improved mood. Everyone is self conscious beginning anything new. Every person there was new at one time so you won't see judgement, just support and
encouragement. You're not too old, too out of shape, or whatever you're telling yourself. Do something for yourself, there's no downside to getting fit and improving your health.

I began working out at Forward Thinking Fitness in October 2023 after decades of inactivity. Evan and his team are always upbeat and care about my progress. The FTF app allows me to schedule when I want to workout. The workouts are varied, and the night before a scheduled session the specific exercises for the upcoming session are posted to the FTF app with videos of each exercise. Forward Thinking Fitness (FTF) was reccomended to me by a friend when I was lamenting about struggling with consistency and stalled progress in my fitness goals. Prior to joining, I ran three times a week and lifted inconsistently. I booked a kickstart trial in September and haven't looked back. My goals in joining FTF were to be more consistent with lifting, improve my physique, and increase my running speed. I've been coming to FTF for around five months and I usually book two of the semi-private and two of the small group classes each week, as well as the occasional yoga class.
The workout spaces are spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a darker atmosphere and spots of colorful lighting. The classes are engaging and genuinely fun regardless of which class size you take. Evan and his team are always switching up your workouts and pushing you to reach your potential, while being understanding and supportive of different client needs and ability levels. They are also excellent at providing modifications as needed. Evan and the other trainers have cultivated a friendly, supportive, and positive environment. I have never once felt uncomfortable or unwelcome.
If you are looking for a somewhere that will work with you on your goals and support you to reach those goals, this is the place. In just a few months, I have made such significant progress on my goals. I cut nearly a minute off of my average running pace after being stalled for nearly six months and I have so much more confidence and strength. I am so appreciative of the team at FTF, thank you guys for all the support.

If you want to workout where all people are welcomed and be surrounded by knowledge and team work then you should check out Forward Thinking Fitness. I was first hooked by the helpful form information and interesting tips on their Instagram page. Then I immediately loved the dark atmosphere with skewed mirrors not to mention a happy pup that roams around and takes part in your workouts! I decided to attend an open house where I was welcomed into a small group workout with people of all ages and abilities and loved it! Soon after I found myself joining. Now I attend the Small Group sessions which are functional fitness at its best. Evan is, hands down, the most positive person I know and his knack for caring about others is the secret sauce of this establishment. At the beginning (or end) of my day I want a workout where there is no judgement, no crowds and not alot of thinking...at FTF they craft the workouts for you and each day is something different. I love working against only myself and not competing with others. You'll find me bopping along with the music and getting a good sweat in. You leave stronger, more refreshed and you can bet I am carrying ALL the bags of groceries in one trip up 3 flights of stairs everytime ;) If you're curious like I was...stop over and just take a step inside. I’ve been going to Forward Thinking Fitness for a little over 4 months now and I love it! This is the most consistent I’ve ever been with my fitness journey because I don’t need to think about anything - just sign up for the time that works best and show up, everything else is already done!
It’s a great community with supportive people of all fitness levels and ages - I’ve never felt judged or out of place which was a fear of mine when I started. Evan and Jamie are so helpful - correcting your form so you get the most out of a move, encouraging you along the way, and giving alternative exercises if needed. A few months ago, I was looking for someone to push me into the right direction when it came to bettering my health and fitness. Forward Thinking Fitness was recommended to do just that for me by my massage therapist. My experience with Forward Thinking Fitness has been stellar, to say the least. Evan and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They are supportive and encourage you to push yourself while also helping you with the proper form. The facility and exercises are set up in a way that has everyone engaged and I never feel self concious. The classes have many varations of exercise and yoga is also offered(I'm excited for that to become more available). They are also adapted specifically for each persons strength and skill level so I never felt like I was out of my depth or struggling to keep up. There was a new nutritionist hired recently and I had only been with the previous one briefly but she was extremely helpful in getting my diet in line and helping me understand what I need to fuel an exercising body. I look forward to meeting and working with the new one. I highly recommend Forward Thinking Fitness if you are looking for an excellent exercise and diet program. I truly feel like I am being pushed to do my best and learning that as long as I am willing to put in the work I will see results. And of course, Link always makes the day better!

Forward Thinking Fitness is my reason to get out of bed in the morning… no, literally!!! Since joining FTF, I have become a regular at the 5:30AM small group sessions. I enjoy attending FTF so much because all I have to do is show up! Once I walk through the doors, a new and challenging full body workout is provided by the knowledge trainers, Evan or Jamie, with modifications to increase or decrease difficulty.
Baseline information is taken at your first appointment and roughly every 8 weeks you meet with a team member to check in on your progress and goals that YOU set. This individualized approach helps you to see your strengths and target your weaknesses.
During the workouts, the trainers actively walk around and make individualized adjustments to your form for safety and maximum benefit of the movements.
Not only does FTF provide strength and conditioning workouts, but the team also puts emphasis on increasing mobility and mindfulness with yoga provided at the new Be Well Body Work Studio. Kristine does an excellent job of maximizing relaxation with various stretches and breathing techniques!🧘🏼♀️🌿
I highly recommend FTF to someone like me who wants to workout more regularly, but benefits from the guidance on what to do once they step into the gym!

My interest in joint Forward Thinking Fitness occurred after I saw an ad for a fitness program for women over 60.
I was experiencing difficulty getting up off the floor and knew it was due to muscle weakness.
So I signed up and began my journey.
I am SO happy I joined. I can see positive changes in my strength and outlook. The workouts are challenging but effective. FTF is not your regular gym. The atmosphere at FTF is such a welcoming environment even for the below average person regarding exercise. The dim lighting and variety of music actually help clients feel less intimidated when getting in their workout. Workouts are customized to the individual, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable. From my experience I can only speak highly of FTF, it's a welcoming place that will push you to do a little more and do it correctly, and I've noticed plenty of physical and mental change in myself in my 4+ months of training at FTF. But as with any gym you get out what you put in!
Honestly, if you are intimidated by going to a "regular" gym, or maybe you don't know what to do and want direction with your workouts, This is the perfect place to do it. It has something for everyone and there is a very nice community to go with the great training staff.
I suggest giving it a try and coming in to talk with Evan about your goals. He will definitely spend some time getting to know what you're looking for and try to help you to get there.

I cannot say enough about my experiences at FTF. I got a nudge from a friend late one Sunday night and Evan wasted no time texting to see if I wanted to hop on a call! (He likely knew I might crawl back under my rock if he didn’t close the deal in that single urge) Nonetheless, I stepped foot in the facility and never had a single regret. I didn’t have to “dress up or stress up” going into the gym. The trainers were carefully chosen with the knowledge and patience to cater to every individual without another member’s workout suffering or getting slowed down. The membership is welcoming and supportive. The facility is always kept clean and is never too crowded to have access to the equipment. Every workout is designed specifically for you and the best part- even when i am traveling or just can’t get there due to my work schedule, I can schedule and a personalized workout is downloaded into my app on my phone. It may cost a little more than most gyms, but the personalized service, friendliness and support of membership and overall atmosphere make it so worth it! I was skeptical, and a bit wary, when my wife suggested joining 'her gym'. Now, I know I should have taken her advice a while ago. I really look forward to every workout here. The trainers are great with suggestions for the best form and also the best alternative for our needs, whether for ability or physical limitations. I’ve been a member of this gym since March. I was like everyone else - didn’t think I had the time to workout. Tried other programs but never stuck with it. Thought the $10 gym was the way to go. Since joining, exercise has become a part of my everyday. I’m working out 4-5 times a week. The trainers are so friendly and helpful and so are the members. The members range from those just starting out to people who have been members for years. The classes are the perfect length of time and I love seeing the exercises ahead of class on the app so I can better prepare myself for class. I’m thankful I found a place like this.

Evan and his coaching team prioritize exercise physiology, safe movements, getting full function of your body. The work outs get you a full burn and cardio without big cardio machines or running. A gym that truly personalizes your workouts! I joined Forward Thinking Fitness after ending a 14 year membership at another local gym. I was immediately impressed with Evan's enthusiasm and knowledge of best practices in the fitness field. I love how the workouts are always different, challenging, and fun. I am currently dealing with some shoulder issues, and both Evan and Jamie will adapt the exercises on any given day to accommodate my injury. FTF isn't a gym w a bunch of weight machines where you're left on your own to figure out what to do. FTF offers you to workout on your own if you want which is great, but I really enjoy the group and semi private training options that are offered. Their trainers are professionals in the field of fitness, very friendly and they know how to motivate you from start to finish. The facility is always in order and clean - no broken equipment or technology. Speaking of technology, they have state of the art heart & effort monitoring that is worn by each customer and is displayed on large screens throughout the facility. Post workout you are emailed your stats (calories burned, avg heart rate, etc.), and a monthly summary is also sent - pretty satisfying to read that you've burned 11,000+ calories in a month! When I started going to FTF, it was my last attempt to find a program that fit my needs. I knew that I needed to get moving because my job is too sedentary (clinical counselor) and things that used to be easy for me to do were now becoming hard. I met Evan during my “intake” appointment. He listened to what I was looking for and has been supporting my journey since then. I have issues with my knees and the exercise routine is adjusted to prevent further damage. Jamie, Amanda, Maria and Jocelyn (the yoga instructor) are also wonderful to work with. The people in the small group classes become friends and support each other. I feel stronger than I did 10 years ago and now, when I don’t move enough, my body yells at me. 😁 My only regret is not having started sooner.

I love FTF! As someone who has never loved working out, it is a relief to find somewhere that gives me the motivation to focus on my health. The atmosphere is very laid back and you will never feel out of place. Everybody is super friendly and welcoming. The small group workouts are always different and challenging in all the right ways. The trainers are helpful with improving your form and motivating you to push yourself. You can tell they actually care and aren't just running through the motions. I find myself actually missing the workouts if I can't make it to the gym for a few days - crazy! I highly recommend FTF! Forward Thinking Fitness is an excellent gym for those who want a more tailored and structured setting. As someone who has never really been a gym-goer, and has mostly stuck to running and cardio-heavy sports, I knew going in I needed some extra attention to learning not only correct form, but the 'why' and 'how' to achieve my fitness goals.
Evan is excellent at being able to tailor your workout to not only your baseline fitness level, but accommodating past injuries, and setting reachable expectations and milestones for the goals you set.
Having the options of doing Semi-Private (up to about 8 people), Small Group (up to about 16 people), Solo workouts, and sprinklings of yoga for flexibility throughout the week really help mix up the week. It also helps that every single day's structured circuits are different. I personally started off doing Semi-Privates until I felt comfortable with my form, and started then going to more of the Small Group classes.
Now with that being said, I think the only thing to mindful of is that this definitely is not the cost of a Planet Fitness. But with what you're getting: Real time workout data tracking, experienced instructors, the close attention by the staff every session to make sure you're form is right, and great structured workouts with people across all stages of their fitness journey - it's worth it if that's what you're looking for. But you have to make sure that the value of what you're getting for the cost is right for you.
Also, on a lighter note, having an incredibly cute dog bopping around while you workout is fantastic.

I love Forward Thinking Fitness! I’ve been to multiple gyms and haven’t sticked with it, and I finally found FTF and I feel like I’m more motivated and I feel like I found the right gym to workout! I love all the trainers, they help me on my posture on working out so I know I’m doing the workout correct. They make sure you don’t hurt yourself while working out, like if you had a recent or long injury they’ll always be glad to modify the workout to make it a bit easier for you. I feel like FTF is the perfect gym to go to even if you are a beginner, we have levels and they’ll always take it slow and you go your own pace.

I have been a member of FTF since November of 22. I really like the flexible schedule for workouts. They have a great program built around helping you lose fat and build muscle. I started coming to FTF a month ago and it’s not like other gyms-in the best way. The trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. And they also are great about fixing your form so that you get the most out of the workout without getting hurt. I was beyond scared to even walk in the front door but from that moment Evan (the owner) and Link made me so comfortable. The atmosphere was different yet awesome...unlike any gym I've seen. I was still a little scared but after having my initial meeting with Evan I knew this was the place I belonged. Evan and me scheduled my first class and of course my anxiety was so huge...but I walked into the most inviting experience...by both the trainer and also the clients. Hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. Not only because of the intense, fun personalized work outs, but because of the community that is at the center of it all. Other gyms feel so impersonal, but this one fosters a team environment with small but mighty actions by the staff. Each trainer knows your name, your level of fitness, and when to encourage you to push for more - a high five and genuine excitement for your progress goes a long way. They will correct your form- which is HUGE- and ensure your efforts will pay off and keep you injury free. This gym is clean, up to date with great equipment and has a stellar staff. I've been a member of multiple gyms in the area and other states and you can’t get a better experience anywhere else.
Lately, I've been doing the sessions remotely and am confident in my form because of the coaching received while previously in the gym. This makes it much more convenient for my schedule. The app is easy to use and has short video examples of prescribed moves, but I know that if I have any questions, the team is just a call or text away.

I highly recommend FTF! Everyone there is amazing. The staff are really motivating, they create fun workouts and are able to guide you through the moves properly and safely. I love the vibe when I walk in: Dim lighting, no judgement, and great music. Everyone is so supportive of each other! This is a great place if you are beginning a fitness journey, or even if you need a change of pace. They sit down with you and determine your own personal fitness goals and they meet with you every 8 weeks to see how you are doing. It definitely helps to keep you motivated when you are just competing against and trying to become the best/healthiest version of yourself!!

I joined FTF in May, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I never thought I would enjoy working out, but I do NOW. The personal trainers help you learn the exercises in proper form and safely to avoid injury and are so knowledgeable, friendly and motivating. The workout sessions, whether semi-private or small group, are individualized and are offered for every fitness level. I have also learned how good nutrition affects the success of each workout from the registered dieticians. The Yoga sessions are great, too! Another added bonus...the facility is impeccable!

Before joining Forward Thinking Fitness I truly struggled with getting to the gym. I had zero motivation to attend past the first month. Now that I have joined Forward Thinking Fitness, I have come to realize why I lost that motivation elsewhere. No other gym that I have attended made it point to know my name or correct me when I would be doing something incorrectly. During any personally training classes the FTF staff makes it point to make sure you are doing everything correctly and they will continue to correct until you have mastered it to ensure you don’t injure yourself. All the members that I have interacted with have been amazing. Evan and his staff are the greatest, they treat you with respect, they acknowledge your presence, and are always willing to help with anything. It has been such a positive experience for me. The progress that I have made since joining definitely made my everyday life outside of the gym more productive. For that I am truly grateful! I highly recommend this gym!

Forward Thinking Fitness is unlike any other gym I've ever been to. I truly feel valued and cared for the second I walk in the door when I am greeted by name and with a smile! All the trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly and are always willing to answer any questions I have. They work closely with you to ensure you're keeping proper form throughout your workout, encourage you, and (most importantly) cheer you on!! They really meet you where you are at right now. Each of the trainers customizes my training sessions for where I am at each day. I've been a part of the FTF family for 4 months and I can honestly say I wouldn't change a thing! I originally started going to regain upper body strength as an alternative to medication or physical therapy. I had no real expectations going in; I have not been in a gym in almost 20 years and generally adopted every excuse in the book for not doing more to be active.
The first few weeks were tough, really really tough. I couldn't do all exercises or finish the reps but Evan, Jaime, and Joel were there to help with modifications and be my own cheerleader. Every day at FTF is different; Evan is always finding ways to elevate the sessions, keep your body moving and the vibe of the space is a great part of the experience.

I finally started going to Forward Thinking Fitness consistently 4 months ago and wish I had started sooner! Even doing the program mostly virtual in Philadelphia, the team keeps me accountable and helps me through my workouts! The days I do get to work out in the gym are the best, nothing beats the environment, community encouragement, and top of the line equipment and facilities! Since joining FTF 4 months ago, my experience has been wonderful. The workouts are designed in a forward thinking way, without a lot of machines. The staff at FTF is always engaged, focused on individual client's needs and open to feedback. They focus on client's form during exercise, thus right muscles train without injury which I think is most important part of exercise. I have improved my energy levels, muscle mass and have lost only the unwanted weight. My wife and I both workout at FTF and really enjoy the complete experience.

What can I say about FTF that hasn’t already been covered by the kind words of my fellow FTF fam?! I joined this gym back in December after doing a lot of research on facilities in the area. After reading countless positive reviews across many platforms and being extremely intrigued after reading about their philosophy and approach to fitness - obviously I was most drawn to them by all of the pictures I saw them posting featuring Link! :) All joking aside - I am completely blown away by my experiences here as a member of this amazing community because I never expected to feel so welcome and comfortable in a fitness environment. The trainers here are so helpful and attentive and really take the time to get to know everyone individually - you can tell that staff here really loves what they do! They’ve managed to find a way to make fitness fun and I always enjoy being surprised and challenged by the customized exercise routines. I didn't think I was a "gym person". That gives me an image of some Hulk Hogan looking person grunting as they lift a ridiculous amount of weights. The word GYM conjures up rows of endless machines I have no idea how to use. NOT MY THING.
FTF is nothing I imagined. Evan and team have thought of everything....and if there is something they missed, just mention it and they will adapt. They tailor the workouts to match your ability. FTF is a great addition to the Lehigh Valley. I really appreciate the trainers’ attentiveness to form, even in large classes. The interior of the gym is really cool too, the way that the lighting is set up allows me to focus on just me, my workout, my pace, and get in the zone. I'm originally from the area but currently a college student out of state, and when I’m home for long breaks, I come in for classes to keep in shape while I’m home. My dad is a regular and I can see the difference it’s made for him, and he raves about the community and environment. I have been a member of FTF for 4 months. In that time, I have lost over 20 pounds of fat and gained muscle. I attend classes at least 4 times a week! The classes are so much fun but challenging. They are like having your own personal trainer but in a class setting. The staff help me with positioning during exercises and making revisions if I am unable to perform the exercises properly. Evan, Marissa, Jamie, Joel and everyone at FTF provide a superior experience that is personal and challenging in a good way for my 64 year old body.
Because of some physical limitations I have, I sometimes need accommodation with some exercises. I never feel self-consious, or feel like I cannot keep up. Substitute exercises I can do safely are cheerfully provided by the staff seamlessly during the workout.
The facility is beautiful, clean and welcoming. I love the changing color lights, the great sound system and music choices. The video support on screens throughout the facility are great, and all of the exercise equipment is in top condition.
I love my work with Marissa in nutrition. I am challenged each week, and am eating a more healthy diet through pleasant collaboration with Marissa toward the common goal of healthy eating, and controlling my weight.
For me, the individual fitness monitor each member is given is a great feature of FTF. You wear it during workouts. It creates a history, provides results for review, and gives you instant progress reports while you are working out on the TV screens in the gym.
The FTF app provides a smooth scheduling experience, a preview of exercise routine for each workout, communications about what's going on at FTF from Evan and his team, and tracks my fitness progress - all conveniently on my phone.
Finally, I have lost 30 pounds, and am stronger and in better shape after just a little more than 100 days as a member at FTF. I am extremely satisfied with my progress which motivates me to continue with both the nutrition ideas, and workouts from the amazing FTF team!

I have tried many fitness centers and programs in the past but FTF is truly forward thinking. Evan, Jamie and Marissa care about your success. The focus is on total health and wellness. They take a unique interest in each client and modify workouts to maximize results.
There is also motivational support weekly and body analysis check ins every 8 weeks. An excellent way to keep you on track. In addition their nutritionist, Marissa, sets up weekly check-ins conducive to my schedule.
I have been able to feel better, lower my blood pressure and take off 20lbs of body fat in 8 weeks and look forward to continued positive results!

I came to Forward Thinking Fittness not really knowing what to expect. I just knew that I needed the kind of workout that the big box centers couldn’t give me. I spoke to Evan about what brought me there and what I was hoping to achieve. After a very thorough discussion and body assessment, we agreed on a program. The group workout was fun but I found that I couldn’t really keep up with the rest of the participants. Then I went to the semi-private group. It was exactly what I needed. The class was no larger than 6 and the personalized attention was wonderful. I told my instructor, Jamie, about my physical limitations, 2 total knee replacements, and she gave me challenging work arounds. The atmosphere was encouraging without being coddling. The timing was great. The class started promptly at 6am. For me, just getting up and out of the house to attend before work was quit a feat in itself. More importantly, I felt welcomed. I highly recommend Forward Thinking Fitness for anyone at any age seeking something more that a weight lifting center. I can tell you that every muscle in my body got a rigorous workout. It’s personal training in a group setting with people that Really want you to succeed.

If you think the gym isn't for you because you never see progress then I emplore you to try out Forward Thinking Fitness. The discovery and check in sessions really help show you the progress you are making ever couple of months with numbers that do not just include your weight or BMI. I've seen my visceral fat levels drop a significant amount since ive been here (did you even know visceral fat was a thing and you can track it?). The amount of technology that comes with your membership really makes you feel you have your own fitness team in your pocket at all times.

It was very hard for me to start to really work out. I did not have the enthusuasm and energy to start on my own. Regular gyms leave you on your own, but FTF is where you can find friends, a group of people that have similar goals as you that help you stay motivated. This atmosphere together with high end work out prescription, MyZone sensor band that monitors your activity/heart beat/calories burned etc, keeps you on track. Evan and his colleagues are the best in town! they are not anly a coach, they are mentors and friends.
I personally would never expected to see any progress in my body strength / fat burning / muscle growing/ but suddenly you see that you are progressing without being super pressured. All you need is consistency and arriving on schedule, the rest is easy. Once you are in, you have made it!

FTF was been a game changer for me. My goal when I joined was to get healthy and stronger. As a nurse, I am constantly running and doing strenuous activities. I love that they create scientifically-proven workouts to build muscle while also mixing up the reps, sets, types of movements, etc. to keep us stimulated but consistent. I’ve been coming to FTF for over a year now. When my old gym closed, I stopped exercising for 3 years. Life got busy. I gained weight and was tired all the time. Within 6 months of joining FTF, I lost the weight I gained, built some muscle, and changed my physique. After a year, I am now in better shape than I ever was! Before joining Forward Thinking Fitness I was lacking motivation and self-esteem. My main goal was not to lose weight but to feel stronger and find a love for working out. I decided to see what the trainers in the area had to offer. Forward Thinking Fitness was the first and only training program that I ended up consulting with. I really knew that they would help me reach my goals as soon as I walked in the door. The atmosphere of the gym caught my eye and Evan made me feel at home immediately. During the consultation we talked about my goals, eating habits, workout habits, and did a few baseline tests. I was drawn to Evans approach to better the body through all areas of exercise, nutrition, sleep, etc. What I like most about Forward Thinking Fitness is being able to do a body composition test every two months. After each body composition test I have new goals to work towards such as decreasing my body fat percentage and increasing my muscle mass. The workouts that Evan puts together are challenging yet fun. I never leave Forward Thinking Fitness without breaking a sweat. While being in school, it was challenging for me to find time to plan a workout, get to the gym, and workout by myself without any direction. At Forward Thinking Fitness the workouts are planned for me ahead of time and I can visit the gym between the early morning and evening that works around my schedule. The workouts are fast and effective and I am able to get my workout done in less than an hour. I would recommend forward thinking fitness to anybody who wants the motivation and encouragement to reach their goals. The trainers are always there to answer questions or give a pep talk even outside of the gym.

The coolest atmosphere I’ve seen in a gym! I have been to many many trainers and forward thinking fitness definitely made my experience enjoyable and stood out to me. I attended yoga class. It was very instructive and guiding to all experience levels. It left me feeling great, relaxed, and more flexible.

I wasn’t here for long, and had a lot of sudden health issues, but the owner Evan was nothing but supportive. When I was unable to physically attend the gym, he set me up with Chelsea who helped me work on the nutrition side of my health. If you want to go somewhere where you feel you are genuinely cared about, absolutely go to FTF. If you are also someone who struggles athletically and are worried about starting your journey, just know that they will work with you and meet you at whatever level you are on with no judgement. Highly recommend.

FTF is one of a kind. Evan has done a lot of work putting together a gym with an amazing atmosphere, great education, solid program, variety of options and lots of cool tech integrated into the workouts. If you feel like you’ve tried other gyms and plans with no success, FTF is a great place to lay foundational roots to your fitness success and meet your goals with great support! I have been going to Forward Fitness Thinking for over 2 years. I have never gotten a better workout and am in the best shape of my life. The workouts are varied, fun and challenging. The trainers and Evan, owner, go above and beyond to make your workout experience the best it can possibly be!
Thank Goodness for Evan's online workout packages! Trying to put together my own workout programs at home is definitely not the same as having a professional do them. Not only am I getting a better workout with his programs, but also I am enjoying the variety of exercises, working different muscle groups and not getting bored with the same things I was doing on my own. The music he uses is very motivating and entertaining as well!

Forward Thinking Fitness goes above and beyond to ensure you meet your goals in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. I've never been the "gym type" and was never motivated to continue at any other gym, but FTF is a different story. Going on 4 months and loving it! Also, important to point out that this gym not only navigated superbly during the pandemic by offering virtual, personalized sessions, but also has a world- class reopening plan. Started working out at FTF back in late January and I have really grown attached to the program and the trainers. They tailor a workout program to your individual needs and goals. The online app for scheduling your training program makes it so easy. You can team train or small group train. The facility is unique and the programs are varied and comprehensive in a full body workout. Easy location to enter, exercises are varied and you do so much in such a short time. Really makes working out a lot of fun. And the other clients are the nicest folks! Finally, I cannot say enough about their move to online training to get us through stay at home, really helps stay in shape while sheltering!

This place is awesome! I’ve been a member since the day they opened several years ago and I still LOVE it here! Super clean, brand new, beautiful facility, friendly, qualified trainers who enjoy leading you thru workouts that are personalized to you and an amazing nutritional counselor who will help you realize the results you are hoping for. Having joined just over a month ago, I can tell you that this gym is ABSOLUTELY AH-MAZING! Wanna know why?!
1. The OWNER, TRAINER and ON-SITE NUTRITIONAL EXPERT go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make each and every member feel comfortable, push his/her limits, and stay motivated. Everyone is super responsive to questions and concerns, and modifications are always made where necessary.
2. State-of-the-art FACILITIES (and virtual classes all day every day during mandatory quarantine). FTF thinks outside of the box in so many ways, and every member benefits from their innovation and partnerships with other local business. Seriously, when quarantine started, FTF shipped and/or lent out equipment to members to keep workouts going strong at home!
3. The MEMBERS! I don’t know about you, but joining a new gym was super intimidating to me...but every member I’ve met so far is friendly, supportive and genuinely interested in the success of those around them. A lot of times, class time is the most positive, stress-free, and invigorating time of my day.
4. RESULTS! I joined at the end of February and have noticed a significant difference in strength, form, performance and attitude. The workouts change daily and are something I look forward to every day, knowing it’s a positive contribution to my health (and sanity, as we’re stuck at home currently).

I have belonged to many fitness centers in my life, but I have never belonged to one like this. The entire staff goes above and beyond on a daily basis to help each one of us reach our goals. It is not about just providing a packaged program where "one size fits all". Their program is custom made for each of us, and it is focused on not just doing the exercise but doing the exercise properly. Now, with everyone being stuck at home and social distancing, they revamped their program to provide virtual workouts where we are continuing to get the same great workouts under the watchful eye of the trainers. I am so thankful I took a chance on them back in August and would encourage anyone ready to make a change to contact them.

I’ve been attending FTF for about 9 months now. All I can say is I’m hooked! I needed a gym that could give me the guidance and that extra push. This place is it. All the trainers are experienced and knowledgeable. They work with you and your personal goals. If you have an injury, they’ll substitute an exercise for you so that you’re making the most out of your workout. Add the nutrition component and it’s a win, win. Chelsea is great at helping and providing you with meal plans and recipes to get you to your goals.
Since being quarantined, our sessions have gone virtual. I wasn’t sure how this was all going to work out. However, these virtual sessions are just as tough as being in the gym. Payton, Andrew and Joel still give you a tough workout and keep you accountable from the comfort of your home. Thanks guys :)

Just finished my second workout this morning and am completely hooked! I found out about Forward Thinking Fitness (FTF) when they were advertising for one of their community events. I've been trying to get back into shape since I gave birth and kept getting discouraged. The initial meeting with Evan and Peyton was great. They spent a lot of time discussing my goals, assessing my current fitness level (non existent), and helping me schedule my workouts to meet my goals. One of the biggest obstacles to getting back in shape was finding the time to workout. With classes almost every hour, I had no problem finding time to schedule my first week of classes. I was even able to bring along my daughter to my workouts since childcare is provided. So far everyone I met during the workouts has been kind and helpful. Will provide an update in a few more weeks!

I love Forward Thinking Fitness!! the entire staff is really cool! Owner Evan works with you for finances, your schedule, and your personal needs of fitness levels. The rest of the staff really listens to you and your fitness levels. I mean really listens.
Nutritional counselor Chelsea is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She is willing to listen and see what meals or meal plan works for you. She will even email you thoughts and ideas to better your nutritional intake.
The whole staff is really interested in community and also your overall physical and mental health. Opening soon is the yoga side of the business!! Brandi will be managing this side of the building space with great yoga classes!!
I had never worked out before. I was apprehensive about joining and committing to 3 days or more a week. With their scheduling app and multiple session times it really is easy to fit your busy schedule. I used the child care often since I can only attend evening sessions. The owner's Dad is so gentle with the kids.

Let me start off by saying I haven’t worked out consistently since my 6 year old was born. I did some squats, a few weights here and there...and carrying my little ones around was quite a workout in and of itself! I was out of shape and tired all the time. I knew something had to change, but I was weak and afraid of hurting myself by jumping right back into working out.
A friend of mine invited me to try Forward Thinking Fitness. I decided to give it a shot and it was the best thing I ever did.
Personalized attention...that’s how I describe FTF. From day one, a customized plan was laid out for me. My goal was to get stronger...as it turns out I got so much more.
I -wanted- to work out everyday. I felt better after the workouts, albeit sore! It became part of my daily routine and fit into my schedule seamlessly (even with young kids). I made so much progress in such a short amount of time...I wanted more. I joined up for a weight loss challenge and got my husband on board.
