I participated in a month-long speed and agility program, and I really enjoyed the experience. Each session pushed me to work harder and challenged me both physically and mentally. My football player son has been going to Chris since late in his 8th grade year - so 4 years now. Chris has been an incredible asset to him as both a trainer and a mentor . Physically Chris has improved his athleticism by an insane amount in terms of explosiveness, flexibility and more . He’s also a super fun guy to be around that all the athletes love training with. My son is heading towards his senior year with scholarship offers already and I’m not sure that happens without Chris. Hands down best performance guy in Pittsburgh.

Frye Performance Training has truly transformed my life, both as an athlete and as a coach in the strength and conditioning field. Over the course of my summer internship, I’ve had the privilege of building countless relationships with the athletes, adult clients, and my co-workers. Chris fosters a unique family atmosphere at the gym that you simply can’t find anywhere else. The competitive spirit in the gym is contagious, driving everyone to push beyond their limits.

One of the most impactful experiences for me was training alongside Chris before our sessions with clients. Sprinting, lifting, and grinding through workouts together not only elevated my physical capabilities but also deepened my understanding of what it means to coach effectively. Thanks to Chris’s guidance, I gained 10 pounds of body weight, hit a 405-pound bench press at 247 pounds body weight, deadlifted 600 pounds, and box squatted 510 pounds for multiple reps. These results are nothing short of extraordinary, and I’ve never felt more athletic in my life.

If you’re looking for a place where you can achieve your goals and be part of a community that supports you every step of the way, Frye Performance Training is the place to be. I have been a client of Mr. Frye for a month and I would highly recommend for all levels of fitness/ability. Chris’s small group training sessions allow for individual focus while still encouraging the client to bring input/ideas to the workout. The environment is welcoming, Chris introduces every client to the next, creating an atmosphere of fun, relaxed camaraderie. All of this to say that I am still challenged to do movements and exercises that I struggle with, but Chris has made the learning process easier. Very happy with my training.

I started working out with Chris about 6 months ago and I can hardly believe the results I’ve seen in such a short time! I really wanted to focus on my upper body strength since I couldn’t even do a push up. Not only can I do push ups now, but I’ve also learned to weight lift with proper technique to prevent injuries. The thought and planning that he puts into each individual plan let’s you get the most out of every workout. Chris is so encouraging and positive. Chris has been training me for awhile now. I messaged him saying that I wanted to get back into shape after having put on a few pounds after college and getting a desk job. I have not only gotten back into shape, but I am stronger than I was in college.

He created a custom program for me and I like that he does a great job of adjusting my workouts on the fly based on how my body feels and how I am performing that day. I also like that he tracks my workouts for me and shows me how I am progressing over time from workout to workout.

My girlfriend was also impressed with how well I was progressing working out and she started coming and working out at the same time. We now both workout at least twice a week with he and love it.

I definitely recommend working out with Chris!
