⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about G Strength in Philadelphia! The personal trainers here are true professionals who know exactly how to get results. I came in wanting to get stronger and improve my overall fitness, and after just a few months of consistent training, I feel like a completely different person.
Every workout is focused, well-planned, and personalized to my goals. The coaches pay attention to form, keep me accountable, and really know how to push just the right amount. It’s not a cookie-cutter gym they genuinely care about helping you get stronger, move better, and feel confident.
The small group training setup is awesome because you get the same attention as one-on-one training but with an encouraging atmosphere. I’ve built muscle, increased my strength, and feel more athletic than ever.

Love this place. Daniel and Joey are the best. I have no experience in weight training and have no common sense. It's completely unitimidating, and I've become much stronger in the two months that I've been a member. It is expensive but worth it. Very thankful to have found this gym.

Joey and Daniel are the main reasons I've been able to keep going for over a year. Every other exercise attempt ended stopping after pulling something and not knowing how to maintain things around it until it was healed so it killed the momentum.

I joined G-Strength to help rebuild strength after being sedentary for 18 months while recovering from a traumatic birth and a few surgeries. As a lifelong distance runner, I always thought I was allergic to strength training, but thanks to G-Strength, I'm an absolute convert. The gym is unpretentious and nonintimidating, the members are incredibly kind, and the trainers Daniel and Joey are thorough and approachable, and know when and how best to challenge you. The gym has made such a positive difference in my overall functional strength, pain levels, and life generally; I'm finally running again pain-free! The small group format allows me to get the individual coaching and form tips I need to prevent injury, and the member community is super motivating and energizing. I actually look forward to lifting weights now...who am I!?

Thank you so much for your guidance and support over the last 8 months. Since starting at gstrength, I’ve regained more control over my health and fitness than I have in years. I really love the way this gym operates. It’s flexible, clean and friendly. The workouts for days 1, 2 or 3 are on the board and I can work out at my own pace while getting modifications from the trainer. The other members are so, so nice and considerate and I am inspired by how much progress I see them make. I attend mornings with Daniel, he is such an excellent trainer because he doesn’t have a fixed approach. I see him work with every kind of client and he does a remarkable job tailoring the workouts to their needs. Join! You won’t regret it!

A few things I love about this place…
1. Right amount of motivation and feedback. Joey knows when to say great work or do a spot correction that feels supportive.
2. I can do pull ups now.
3. Question of the day, great convo, and new playlists.

I've been a member of G-Strength for over a year and can whole heartedly recommend this gym for affordable weight training, fitness workouts, and a really good time doing it. There are one-on-one sessions or you can sign up like me for a small group personal training session. There is never a session where there isn't enough equipment, or time for a consultation about the routine. Our personal trainer, Daniel, at Queen Village ensures that my technique is always correct to maximize the workout benefit and avoid injuries. He's focused, fun and has excellent taste in music. Everyone regardless of level can achieve their goal here.
The proof for me - I scrambled up the Sydney Harbor bridge recently with no problem at all. That's a good gym!

After getting very sick of the Peloton strength classes, decided to try G-Strength. It's been a great experience.
Some highlights:
*Small group, but everyone is kind of doing their own thing. It's not a class with stations -- people are doing a variety of different workouts around the same time. You go at your own pace.
*The vibe is great. As a 45 year old woman, I don't ever feel intimidated.
*Daniel—a trainer in the morning—is there to adjust form, keep up on your progress, and check in. He's got a great memory and has pushed me when I needed it.
*Price is right. I've worked out with a personal trainer before and now I'm getting twice as many sessions in.

It’s intimidating to start strength training if you’ve never done it before. I joined G-Strength a couple of months ago, slightly apprehensive because I've never done strength training and was not sure that I fit into a "gym environment." G-Strength is truly special in the way that that the training sessions are designed. The sets and reps allow for modifications based on previous education and growth of your own fitness journey. Daniel and Chloe are wonderful coaches who pay attention to your form and progress. Where do I begin with kind words about G-Strength? I’ve been going here since January of 2022. At that point in time I knew absolutely nothing about strength training, and started going there as a way to save my mental health. In the almost two years that I have been a member, my life has changed so dramatically. Not only is G-Strength a great workout, but it has immeasurably raised my self esteem and confidence. The community of other members are so respectful, encouraging and friendly. Chloe and Daniel are such fantastic coaches and great people, who truly care about us inside and outside of the gym. They are knowledgeable and compassionate, motivating without being judgmental or harsh. They are what keep making me want to come back to the gym.
Other larger gyms are far too overstimulating for me, full of too many, often impatient, people waiting to get ahold of the equipment in my hands. I love the small group setting, and the personal attention you receive at G-strength. It is a truly unique gym experience.

If you’re looking for a gym that is not only Accepting of all but very supportive, checks-in with you, and really strives to make sure you have your best work out, look no further! G-Strength is the small-group work out I’ve been looking for. I’ve bounced around to many different types of gyms and with this one I know I can get in and out in an hour or less, even if I’m not sure if I can make it, it’s nice I can sign up 30 mins. before. The instructors are SO supportive, always making sure your stance is correct so you’re not hurting yourself, have suggestions for you if you need to strengthen a part of your body to make another area stronger or have any pain. I’ve been attending for 2 months- 3/4 days a week and I’m already noticing big differences and definition! Give the free trial a whirl - honestly, what do you have to lose?

It's a great environment if you're new to fitness classes - the small class size, personal attention from the trainers, and welcoming atmosphere made it easy to transition from no exercise routine to going to class three days a week. I wanted to start strength training as a complement to my yoga practice and joined G-Strength a month ago, and I could not be happier with my decision. I absolutely love the small group training format, and working with a trainer has been priceless. Daniel brings the perfect blend of professionalism and encouragement, while also pushing me to my potential. My performance has skyrocketed and I'm working with weights that I never thought I'd reach so quickly (started at 15-20lb goblet squats Week 1 and progressed to 40lbs in just a month, who am I?!). The direction on form and progression is invaluable. I especially wanted to work smart with the time I have, and the 60 minute classes and workouts with a focus on compound exercises are perfect for my schedule. Being a former Division 1 athlete, I always enjoyed strength training, but I didn’t really see the purpose of it after competing at a collegiate level. This place is incredible. When I started going at the beginning of June, I’d never been to a gym before - now, I go three times a week because of G-Strength. It did wonders for my confidence and health, both mentally and physically. The coaches, especially Daniel and Giancarlo, are super friendly, helpful, and amazing. The 6-person classes give a sense of community, while allowing the coaches to help people individually. They made sure I was making progress every class, and always encouraging me to work harder, with huge results. When I first started, I could barely do a 45lb trap bar deadlift - but by the end of the summer, I’d deadlifted 210lbs on the trap bar! This is a great place for anyone looking to get into the gym, or looking for a new gym.

My experience at G-Strength has been superb from the trainers understanding my goals/needs. The team of trainers are great motivators and teachers of their work to ensure you'll do the exercises in a healthy matter and correct to mitigate injuries. I've learned a tremendous amount regarding strength building and eating healthier in order to reach my goals efficiently all due to the trainers input. In general, the small group meetings are welcoming and enjoyable as a person who usually likes to do things by myself. It can be nerve wracking to try a new workout routine and/or go to a new gym, but that's not the case whatsoever at G- Strength. The trainers are incredibly friendly, patient, and thorough in their knowledge.
Even during the small group classes I've received lots of personalized attention and feedback. All of the trainers listen to what you're trying to accomplish and help you get there. And the rest of those in the class have been nothing short of encouraging. The small groups are never overwhelmingly large, making them feel intimate and not all all intimidating.
And the results speak for themselves -- after just a month I've absolutely noticed my body getting stronger and transforming before my eyes. I signed up for a second month with no hesitancy. 100% recommend!!

I joined G-Strength in November 2021 and I absolutely love it. I go to the Queen Village location. I have been a runner for 10+ years and have run marathons but I did no strength training, wasn’t flexible and had no upper body strength. A friend told me about G-Strength and I am so glad she did. The vibe is friendly, supportive and not intimidating. You can show up as a novice (me) and never feel embarrassed…they will work with you and help you get stronger at your pace. A few years ago I had a snowboarding injury that left me with two broken wrists. While I have been able to gain most of my mobility back, I’ve still been limited on what I can do in the gym. I’ve been going to G-Strength (Queen Village) since October 2021. I moved to Philly that summer and was looking for a (physical) gym that would provide something similar to the kettlebell strength training I’d been doing for a few years. G-Strength was the closest to what I wanted in terms of strength training and conditioning. We’ve mostly been working with barbells and dumbbells which works just as well. I've had chronic knee pain for a while now and I've noticed a HUGE difference in pain level if I go to classes regularly.
The small group personal training model was new for me too and it’s proved to be very clever! The classes are intimate enough that the instructors can provide personal feedback and tips but autonomous enough that it never feels like someone is hovering. The training programs are also switched up about every six weeks which makes the classes fun, refreshing and challenging. Everyone in the class really pushes and cheers each other on.
I have taken classes with Tyler and Chloe and they have both been spectacular particularly when it comes to modifying and teaching form. There are also a lot of class times to choose from but if you need a more popular time, it’s always good to book early. Giancarlo, the owner, is incredibly accessible and empathetic. He knows all the students by name and clearly loves his job.
The only thing about G-Strength that confused me was the pricing model. It’s not written anywhere (but I haven’t looked that hard) and It’s a bit pricey. However, for someone who needs the discipline, accountability and social aspect of a boutique gym, G-Strength is worth it.

My goal was to get back into shape after not working out for a while and gaining some weight. Before I started, I had some concerns about getting injured while working out. However, it quickly became apparent that Gian is very knowledgeable and quick to adapt or change an exercise at the slightest expression of pain. But at the same time I was sick of the traditional gym format. I scheduled an evaluation to check it out and was so impressed that I joined on the spot and loved it ever since. The trainers are fantastic. They are engaged and give you the encouragement you need to do your best. Even if you can’t figure out the barbell weight math, they swoop in and make it perfect, haha, it happens. “I recommend this gym to anyone!” just doesn’t seem to do G-Strength justice. With moving around, I have belonged to a number of similar gyms but this one will always stand out. The evaluation process prior to starting a class is a key point for preventing injuries. It seems I have been squatting incorrectly for years which had been causing me back pain; Gian noticed it right away and corrected my form. I felt welcomed, supported, and challenged from the minute I walked through the doors. For someone with a rotating schedule of shift work, the flexible hours available were exactly what I needed (and often what I struggle to find in a gym of this quality.) I left every session feeling accomplished and ready to get back at it the next day. In just three months I noticed a vast improvement. Give it a try, there’s no pressure to sign up but you’ll definitely want to. So yeah... you could say “I recommend this gym to everyone.”

I have been going to G-Strength for a little over 2 months (8 weeks), and have seen drastically better results in these past two months, compared to the YEARS I have spent money on a gym membership. Not only have I gotten substantially stronger in terms of weights and reps, but have also seen a visible change in my muscle mass and even toning, all throughout my body. Not to mention, the staff are all extremely passionate, caring, and always accessible. The G-strength coaches have SUPER patiently taught me the fundamental and did not quit until I completely understood, and are always extremely quick to text back if I have any questions at all, even when it comes to other things such as diet and recovery. The only thing I wish I knew earlier is how kind everyone is, even other members; G-Strength has a very community-like feel, and for some reason I was under the impression that it would be scary to be in the same group as someone lifting 500 lbs, but they have established a culture that would never tolerate this. G-Strength is not your average gym. It's also not "just a gym" which has become increasingly clear right now. When Pennsylvania required non-essential businesses to close due to COVID-19, Gian, the owner, immediately put everyone's memberships on hold. Without anyone asking. Yes, you read that correctly. At one of the most trying times for a small business owner, Gian made (what was probably) a very tough decision and put the well-being of his clients first. He then quickly transitioned the in-person small group training sessions to online Zoom workouts. He had one on one calls with every single client to discuss with the changes, to find out what home equipment we owned, and to ask if we had any questions or needed anything. Now, there are three daily options for classes - 7AM, noon, and 6PM. The team at G-Strength had to design a new program that would meet everyone's needs and allow for the lack of access to the normal equipment. Not only did they design a new program, but they also are meeting the needs of those with energetic children at home by offering a kids "workout" program at 3PM. I'm sure parents are thankful for having a short break in their day where they can work from home uninterrupted. Gian has also hosted social events both in person (before the pandemic), as well as online (happy hours and trivia nights) acknowledging that social interaction and community is extremely important to mental health, especially right now.
The focus of the programming at this gym is on improving strength thru lifting. If you are a beginner or the kind of person who avoids weights, I promise it isn't an intimidating environment. There is zero shame in starting with no weight or low weight. The focus is on the right weight for you, the one that is challenging but you can still complete the movement with proper form. Clients are all ages and all levels.
The owner, Gian, cares deeply about helping clients meet their goals if you didn't pick up on that already. The entire training staff is very attentive to making sure you are hitting your form correctly, and does a great job of offering feasible alternatives for people with varying capabilities WITHOUT removing intensity. If you are unsure about checking them out, I highly recommend at the very least trying out their intro week or right now, dropping in on one of the online classes. G-Strength is an amazing gym. Small place with a big heart. Workouts are always great, clear, and effective. You do the workouts with a team, so that helps push you, but the coaches are always there to help you with your form, your individual goals, your injuries, etc. So it's the best of both worlds for sure. Lots of time-slots to choose from on a daily basis. Always clean. Always fun. Worth the price for sure.

I am in my Third week of training at G strength. I would tell anyone to go! The trainers teach & craft the work out to your skill level. I have not lifted weights in 15 years. Gian from G Strength has been training me for just over two years. Prior to my workouts with G Strength I was in good shape, but had been to a weight room only a handful of times. I also suffered from muscle spasms in my neck a few times a year that physical therapy, resistance band exercises, and chiropractor visits only seemed to treat temporarily. My goal with G Strength was to increase my maximum weights in key lifts and knock out my muscle spasm, all while maintaining my body weight. Mission accomplished! Due to his extensive knowledge and experience with strength training, fitness, and nutrition,Gian helped me far exceed my goals. I haven't had a neck muscle spasm in nearly two years, and my body weight is holding near my starting weight. As an added bonus I have more energy, especially on lift days. Gian was accommodating of my busy schedule and listened carefully to feedback I had about training programs along the way, frequently making changes on the fly. The G Strength program has been so effective I have signed up for another year.

I completed the Balanced Habits eating program through G-Strength. This program sparked my enthusiasm because I didn't have to cut out any food group, I just learned how to eat in moderation and at the right times. The program along with weekly meetings with Gian made it easy stay on track and achieve my goals. As the weight came off my workouts improved which made the experience even better. I even was able to lose weight on a two week vacation! I strongly recommend this program and plan to continue this as it is easily adaptable to sustain in every day life.

Giancarlo listens when you talk to him and is super smart. He also knows a lot about health and fitness and is happy to answer any questions you have.
