We are your place if you:

I joined GHP after realizing that I’m in my 40s, slightly overweight, and not able to recover like I used to. I definitely needed some serious support to continue improving so I had a fighter’s chance to realize some of the running dreams I have. While I’m still early in this journey with them, I can already tell how much I’ve grown physically (strength and speed) and in the knowledge of the what, why, and how’s of my body’s growth, continued development, and needed recovery. Everything from strength to speedwork is tailored to my needs and the support and encouragement is unmatched. It’s nice to be in a gym with a bunch of “normal folks” who just want to improve and encourage others along the way.
On top of all of this I found that GHP also offers coaching for young athletes. My middle school daughter did summer trackside and LOVED it. She grew so much. Her speed and form improved but most importantly she grew in confidence. She now does trackside and a session of strength training. She loves it. The coaches push her hard but care for her as well. The attended her XC meet and celebrated her growth!

I have had a terrific experience at GHP with my trainer Ananya. She is very sensitive to older athletes (I am in my 70s) and very alert both to their limits and possibilities. We have made tremendous progress in the last seven months and I look forward to every session. The atmosphere at GHP is very upbeat and positive, and the play lists are "lit" (to use Ananya's word).

As a competitive runner in Cross Country and Track, I knew I needed to take my training to the next level. I worked with Coach Donald and GHP for about a year and a half, and they helped me to improve in ways that I could not have improved on my own. The coaches were extremely helpful and easy to work with, which made the workouts fun and geared toward my personal needs. I noticed significant differences in my races as well; I felt much stronger and faster, and I noticed that I could hold form much better when I was fatigued at the end of races. The tough workouts also helped me improve my mental toughness, and to stay focused and relaxed during hard exercises. I had a great experience at GHP, and I would recommend it to any athlete who wants to take their training to the next level.

I trained with Global Human Performance for almost three years. During that time, all of the amazing coaching staff helped me reach my fullest potential as a High school athlete. Not only did they help me achieve things that I didn’t think were possible, but they also helped me prevent injuries and stay healthy. I highly recommend reaching out the coaches and setting up a plan if you want to take the next step in your athletic career (or if you want to stay healthy / in shape). Before I used Global Human Performance, I was a below average HS runner who was always injured. Now, with the help of the program, I’ve earned multiple state medals and school records. My experience at GHP has been nothing but the best. I have been training with GHP throughout middle school and high school as an XC/Track athlete and it’s played a major role in shaping me as a runner. They run different types of classes and it was just so cool to see people from different walks of life all come together and try to get more fit! I trained with GHP to help prepare to run the Big Sur Marathon and it really paid off! I did Strength and Movement sessions with Coaches Tim, Donald and Leslie, which were challenging yet fun group workouts. Over the course of the training I definitely noticed how it improved my running and I learned how to do a variety of exercises and stretches. I liked how you can pick dates and times to come in that best fit your busy schedule. And it was nice getting to know the other athletes and see them achieve their goals too! Overall an awesome crew doing great work :)

Coming back from my first running injury, this was exactly what I was looking for! It’s great to have both my running and strength training programmed to get back to running all the miles even stronger. It’s also so helpful to have Coach Tim make changes along the way that I wouldn’t do myself following an online training plan. Love the small group setting for the strength sessions.
Just completed my first race back from injury - and set PR in the half marathon! Which really speaks to how much this set me up for success when that wasn’t even the goal of the race. Excited to see what happens as I continue building on that!

Training with the team at GHP has been a phenomenal experience. As a distance runner, I’m working with experts to run through a well curated strength/endurance routine that helps me get stronger (and more importantly keeps me injury free as I load on more weekly mileage). The small group session classes allow for great camaraderie and social accountability, while still maintaining the intimacy needed for effective coaching, and the coaches put the effort in to develop that sense of community. You can tell that they really care.
The results speak for themselves — I recently took 16 minutes off of my marathon PR, and am within a stone’s throw to a Boston qualifying time. Thank you to the coaching staff that I’ve worked with (Tim, Leslie, Donald), and here’s to more wins to come!

Coach Donald and his staff have been instrumental in helping our son transform into an amazing athlete. They have tailored workouts to meet his needs as well as to elevate him to reach the next level. The trackside summer program with personalized weight lifting was a life changing opportunity that has allowed our son to grow and improve.

Coach Donald and his team worked with me after some life-threatening conditions. He got me back to the point where I could run ultramarathons again and completed 2 50-milers (Baker Challenge) with Coach Donald as my support. While hip issues are keeping me from running now, I support everything that GHP does.
Very 'family friendly', he and his coaches work with my daughters and have helped them become USATF All Americans (multiple times), great swimmers, Lacrosse players, and all-around well developed athletes. His work focuses on community and all of the members support each other.

This is the only gym I go to. You’re not going to get that sense of community from anywhere else! Donald of course is great! Throughout my time I have had the opportunity to work with the other coaches as well from small group trainings to individual trainings. I’ve worked with Coach, Khyla, Coach Shy, and Coach Tony. All whom I HIGHLY recommend.
I’m not having problems with my knee anymore. Thanks to Coach Shy, she noticed right away and immediately switched my work outs around to cater to my bad knee. She incorporated rehab work outs for it and my knee has improved tremendously!
You’re doing yourself a disservice by not meeting this group of trainers and working with them! You won’t regret it!

I have found GHP to be a great community with engaged, knowledgeable, trainers. I work out on weights twice a week. Donald is also very helpful when it comes to running. There’s a mix of people from young to middle age and from serious running to getting back in shape.

Definitely the best gym I've been to. The workouts are very structured and personalized for you to achieve your maximal strength. It's a fun atmosphere and all the coaches there are so helpful, whether they're helping with your weight training or just helping with life advice. I've met a lot of nice people there, and it makes lifting more fun. I've gotten a lot stronger at this gym and it's helped me stay injury free.

Coach Donald held a run club with Sweatnet PGH. We had a group of experienced and beginner runners. Donald started by asking us where we struggled and where we wanted to grow. Then he worked with us the first day to break it down. I used to run a lot but struggled with hip and knee pain, after working with Donald I am running consistently again 3-4x a week. Changed my running game for sure! He will push you though, expect that! Couldn’t recommend GHP enough!

I've been a member of GHP for one year now, and I've lost 10 lbs. and am much stronger in my upper body and core. I worked with Coach Donald and GHP for over a year with remote running coaching. I knew getting a coach was how I was going to truly improve. Donald pushed me to run distances and efforts I did not believe that I could, but that he knew I could. Through injuries he worked with me to develop plans to get healthy and do what I could. Through changing schedules, he worked with me to accomplish what I could. Donald was always professional, encouraging, and flexible when my schedule was unpredictable. He was positive and more than a coach, but a friend, when I was struggling. He has set up an amazing staff at GHP who are incredibly supportive. Coach Khyla would regularly check in and be supportive. If you want to improve and you want to work with good people to do so, this is who you want to work with.

Joining Global Human Performance was a great decision that has greatly helped both my running and fitness. Before joining GHP I was struggling with patellar tendonitis issues that had sidelined me from running. I was just starting to get back into running when I joined GHP and it really helped. Coach Donald has helped me to stay injury-free, and when I did begin to experience knee pain again in April he helped me to correct the issue. In addition to injury prevention, joining GHP has helped me improve my running form and made me stronger - both of which have helped me run faster! Not only do I enjoy running more since I am pain-free, but now I also love working out at the gym. The workouts are challenging and the gym environment is fun. Plus, I always finish a workout session - whether online, in the gym, or at the track - feeling better than when I started.

My daughter started with GHP after an injury had her sidelined from running. She is back stronger than ever thanks to Donald and his personalized attention. I joined GHP just before the country shut-down and Donald never missed a beat -- we were working out on Zoom the next week. He continues to be available via Zoom for those of us not yet ready to return to the gym. I'm amazed how each workout is different, yet always challenging. Donald checks in with each of us and GHP community regularly, helping us work on our individual goals and "problem spots". His energy is contagious and his body of knowledge motivating.

Two years ago, I wanted to be quicker and stronger. I know Donald from ultimate frisbee, and figured it would be good to work with a trainer who understood my sport. I never thought I'd want someone to tell me how to exercise, but I'd gotten into a rut, made worse by chronic lower back pain--not crippling, but definitely a daily problem that limited what I could do and made me wonder how long I could continue playing the sports I loved. I took a chance on Donald and GHP.
One of the best decisions of my life, period. Within six months, my back pain started to fade, and I could definitely feel myself getting stronger. Two years in, I am pain-free, about 15-20 lbs lighter, and in just about the best shape of my life (and I haven't been a sedentary person). To be able to say this at 53 is something I never expected.
Not only that, I look forward to my workouts, and try never to miss. Our little gym is like a family and everyone is welcome. Donald is always looking for new ways to challenge us and himself, and he creates an atmosphere of positivity and support that doesn't waver and extends beyond the gym. I am motivated to create my own workouts at home based on what I do in the gym. I've left the rut way behind me, and if I ever have questions, all I have to do is text the coach.
And here's a point that is easy to overlook, but which I think is important: I have never been injured from working out at GHP. I have friends who swear by Crossfit, but they always seem to be nursing some injury they got working out in their "box." Donald focuses on form and technique and I've learned to trust him. He gets you to focus on fitness for life, not just some arbitrary number you might hit in a W.O.D. It's a better way.
GHP's slogan is Life-Changing Fitness. I'm proof that it works. Wherever you're starting, you're not at your peak yet. Check it out.

Donald Robinson has been an incredible strength coach for my entire family. He works well with all ages. My 13 year old daughter, 15 year old son, and I all see Donald for physical training. After having PT for muscles severely weakened by a virus, Donald helped my son get back to being a competitive athlete, who is now playing for his high school basketball team. I participated in a boot camp one weekend. It began with a nutrition specialist that spoke about healthy eating and dehydration. Then we warmed up before going into an intense, but worthy work out. We completed with a cool down session and a healthy food truck that cam etiquette the gym. Donald is very knowledgeable about his work, versatile with his clients and an all around good guy.
