Gymnastics center Parkour spotAbout the Club
Gymsport has been inspiring young athletes since 1997 when the National School of Gymnastics was purchased by Tanya Corry from Pittsburgh icon Jeanette Jay. In those 27 years, Tanya started the first All Star Cheer team in Western PA, built the Gymsport Gems and Gymsport Gents Gymnastics Teams, created one of the first true Parkour programs in Pittsburgh, and become a generational program where former athletes bring their own children to learn.

We were looking for something for my great nephew to do while we were babysitting him. He suggested Gymsport. Well, it was a great experience. He had so much fun at Open play for toddlers. The Jungle Gym was his favorite!

My daughter in in the Beginner 1 class. She loves it! Make-up classes are super easy to schedule. You can choose to try out for a competition team if you are interested and they also teach parkour. The coaches are great with the kids and very knowledgeable.

We love Gymsport! I’ve been bringing my kids here for about 5 years and it’s been a great experience. My daughter has been coming regularly and now participates in classes, and we’re really impressed with the quality of the program. The coaches are caring and encouraging, and the facility itself is top-notch. It’s a great local spot where kids can learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment. Highly recommend for families!

Gymsport truly is my son’s happy place. We started out by going to preschool playtime when he was still quite little, and he absolutely loved it. When he got a little older, he tried gymnastics, and after a year, his coach recommended that he switch to parkour because it aligned more with his skills and his interests. After that, he was completely hooked and is entering his 5th year of parkour classes this year. He has been able to compete which he loves. He has improved his skills every year and can’t wait to go to class each week!

Had a birthday party for my daughter at Gymsport and it was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The coaches watching and helping the kids kept them in line and kept them safe. My daughter has been with Gymsport for a few years now, and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone is friendly, and the coaches genuinely care about the kids. Especially when you are taking your child to a gym several days a week, you need to make sure they are safe, looked after, and thriving. Gymsport checks all the boxes.

Very nice people but literally got a rejection email from them. My son wants to supplement his wrestling with gymnastics as he works for a bid to the Olympics in 8 years. Gymnastics also piqued his interest as an alternative sport for his goal to go to Penn State and possibly compete beyond in gymnastics as well if it's a good fit for him. This place was highly recommended and I'm sure they have great coaches but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate an athlete looking for high caliber training and support. It's a bummer but we'll find a gym that is invested in big dreams and determined athletes.

Had a birthday party at Gymsport this past weekend - it was SUPER easy and stress free, which is much needed this time of year. Candy was an amazing coordinator, keeping us in the loop of anything that we needed to know. The party coaches were great with the kids (all 20 of them) and as a parent I finally got to enjoy seeing the fun they were having!

Hello. My son has been doing gymnastics for 5 years. He is a bigger boy and his weight is out of hand. He weighs at 956 pounds. He only eats cookies. The workers here say he’s too big for their equipment. He comes to the car crying because these staff are bullying him. His name is big Gus Gus. His real name is gustopher. He still can’t do a backflip cartwheel Ariel front handspring back tuck. Every time he tries he falls because of his weight. The bullying is unacceptable. It’s cruel and nasty. I’m giving 5 stars because i love this place na the staff are incredible.

Went there today with my 4 year old and stood in front of the person who checks people in, for at least 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. Just standing there while she/he/it was just looking at it’s computer screen holding it’s cheek.
She/he/it, not sure what it is, but was beyond extremely rude. Eventually, went in because we had no idea what to do, only to be followed by a representative to tell us to leave because the free-play kids area was closed. We have never even been there before. It would have been nice to not wait and then be told to leave, if this information was provided by the person at the front.
At least acknowledge people when people come in. Awful experience. Will never return and will make sure to spread the word to others.
Work on your customer service skills and while you’re at it, maybe clean up the massive, massive, massive spider webs off your ceiling. It’s very off-putting.

I had initially posted a fairly negative review regarding many communication issues. Lauren contacted me and worked to fix all issues that were coming up, and communication has been much more consistent.
Classes are still wonderful! My child enjoys classes, has been learning a lot, and has been improving greatly.
Instructors are all caring and seem to genuinely enjoy working with the kids. My child always raves about every instructor.
Definitely happy to have chosen Gymsport.

Excellent presentation of awards. Other gyms should follow your example of awarding the girls and send them out ready to present. Saved a lot of time, and it kept it moving.
The awards themselves are very creative with the macarade shaped awards.

My daughter is in her second year with Gymsport and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! The coaches are so patient and encouraging - she gets so excited when she nails a new skill or trick, and their support has been crucial to her confidence. We also had her birthday party at the gym last year and the kids all had a blast - it was the perfect blend of free play and guided games/activities. She’s having so much fun!

AVOID... this is the kind of business that deserves to & will fail. We didn't make it past the old lady at the door!
We attempted to attend a school playdate, kindly organised by one of the parents at the local Montessori school, but we were quickly made to feel unwelcome by the employee of "Gymsport Athletic Center" and thought best to leave.
It was obvious the elderly lady at the front desk was struggling with her communication skills, but in the presence of kids, she should be better trained. The woman was rude and unhospitable from the initial encounter upon entering the (broken)door. She erroneously believed that I (and other customers) were having difficulty with their ridiculous online app for signing waivers and organising payments/etc.... She was so focussed on rudely trying to grab my phone out of my hands and over-talk me, that she didn't even realise what the issue was or if there even was an issue. It was so strange... I was attempting to speak to this woman and ask questions, but she would just lung out to grab my phone like a child! lol. I actually had to hold my iPhone away from her, and then finally had to politely tell her to "Stop".
Then mid conversation, this rude lady, would just walk away and address others... so I guess my child and I went to the back of the line. 20min later, and with a very confused and sad child, I had enough and asked for someone "in charge" to delete my account (JFYI, you have to give them credit card subscription info for a 30min one-time play session??!! lol. No way... not even in that little podunk village. )
Neverminding the place is filthy, the door is broken & unsafe... (had to help two different women struggling with the door.), it's also in a trashy area in some old disused industrial park literally 'on the other side of the tracks'.
If you can't find anywhere more polite, cleaner, safer, and welcoming than this joke of a business.... then, maybe just keep your kids at home. Avoid Gymspace like the plague! :p ;)

An amazing experience anywhere starts with a nice greeting and big smile and thats exactly what we got from Ms. DEB when we walked in the door!!! And then...then there is Todd! The almighty magician that after a little chat and alot of excitement convinced my 2 and 1/2 yr old to wear a mask!!! He was so kind to my son and the mask thing is something we had really struggled with until Todd. My little guy loves going for open gym and getting to run all his energy out! The gym is clean and the staff is super friendly so if we could give them 10 stars we would!!!!

We take our 4 year old daughter to Gymsport for the Little Lions and Mighty Minions classes and she’s also been there for their open gym sessions. The gym is very clean and well maintained with equipment that’s in excellent condition. As a parent I enjoy that I can see almost the entire gym from the lobby area and for when I can’t be in the gym in person they have an amazing app called SpotTV which allows secure login during your child class so you can watch! This is fantastic since my inlaws live out of state and otherwise would never get to see her in class.
The staff is absolutely amazing!! Robin at the front desk is very kind, patient and helpful when I ask a million questions. Coach Gina is the Little Lions coach for my daughter and she seems great. Coach Allison actually coaches the older kids but is there during open gym and offered my daughter so much advice and direction and she was able to do so much more than I ever expected. It shows how personally invested she is in the kids, their success and the sport. Now, our personal favorite is Coach Emily. She is AMAZING!! She coaches the Mighty Minions class which is like mini parkour. She’s super laid back and incredibly patient but my personal favorite about her is that she seems very real with the kids which is refreshing. She’s silly but focused which is a tough balance to achieve and she treats each student equally no matter their skill level so they all get equal attention. My daughter looks forward to her Mighty Minions class every week and even though she doesn’t coach her Little Lions class, she’s still in the gym during our session and my daughter looks all around for her so she can say hi. Coach Emily has a huge fan in my kid and I! There’s another coach, Coach Todd, who Hasn’t coached my daughter but I’ve heard him coaching other children and he’s great too. He’s relatable and silly and focused on the skills and the kids seem to really love him.
They also have this really incredible program where they learn something new each month to help develop them as people, not just athletes. So far we’ve had ‘confidence’ and ‘responsibility’ and the lessons are powerful. They include information from professional child psychologists and activities to help the kids understand what the words mean and how to make examples of them in their lives. I really appreciate the passion that this gym puts out there.
All in all, I would absolutely recommend Gymsport for young children!

We were previously at a different gymnastics program for my daughter. I took my son to a preschool play day at Gymsport. As soon as we walked in, I was impressed with how large the gym was as well as the amount of equipment that was available for their gymnasts to train on. We ended up taking my daughter for an evaluation and subsequently switched gyms to gymsport. She no longer has to waste time sitting around waiting for her turn... the entire time she is there she is training. She has been there for over 3 years now and we still love it. Her progress is unbelievable! The staff are amazing with communication and truly care about your kiddo whether they are in their recreational program or on their competitive teams. There really is a program for everyone!

Amazing! I have been going there for a couple months now, and I even got a couple of my friends to join Gymsport! It is truly amazing there, and I couldn't ask for better coaches or gym. I’ve taken both of my children to Gymsport for preschool playtime, and they absolutely have a blast! I love that we have this little gem in the community. My only concern is cleanliness - there are thick layers of dust, visible cobwebs, and old used bandaids (bandaid was in same spot the next day, as well) that really make me concerned about cleanliness of the facility. We will continue to come here, as it’s a great place to let the kids get their energy out; I just wish it were cleaner.

After a year and a half of taking classes, my daughter hadn’t been taught any of the skills to be on a competitive team. At this gym, the parents that know the system get their kids what they need, and the parents that are new to the sport learn the hard way that they’ve wasted their money on years of training that won’t put them at a level to compete or be challenged. For my family it took us a year and a half to realize, I hope this review helps you to realize, this isn’t the best place for your child. In my dealings with them, I was questioning the skills not being taught. A professional business owner, would apologize and make the changes necessary, but I was met with criticism of my 5 year old. In any schooling system, gymnastics included, if the child isn’t taught the skills needed to be successful is that a teacher error or a student error. You be the judge...

We went to a 6th birthday party there and my 5 y.o. daughter had a blast. Loved the zip line, trampolines, gymnast bars etc. Until we got to the back where the instructor led the group of kids up these 3ft walls to this 20' wall to jump from onto a big cushion. I was agasp at watching 6-8 5 year olds walk along this high wall with no support!!! A few looked down, quickly got on their hands and knees and sobbing slowly went back to the steps. My daughter scaredly got to the first bar to hold onto then dropped to her hands and knees to the end of the wall joining her friends. It only took a minute before my daughter too was crying. I was so scared seeing her crawl back along this 20' wall with NO rails or anything to keep them from falling to the hard floor! I am shocked they would have this hazardous wall, where the instructor wasn't even up there with them!!! I can't believe they would have something so dangerous.

Unprofessional, Unapologetic and Uncaring....My wife and I scheduled a birthday party for our daughters at Gymsport - Bridgeville and paid the required $50 down payment. We send out the invitations to friends and relatives, but get a voicemail from Gymsport a week later telling us that we would have to re-schedule our party due to an error on their part. No apology, no offer of a discount, nothing. The contract makes no mention that they reserve the right to re-schedule a party. So I called back and requested a refund of our $50 down payment as we found another venue that would accommodate us and the date we wanted. The refund doesn't come....Five phone calls and weeks later, we finally received our refund !!!...The owner and manager never once returned our calls, but we spoke to a different person every time we called. Nobody could process the refund but the owner or manager. Awful way to run a business and horrible customer service. I'd give Gymsport zero stars if I could.

SO disappointed!!!!! SO disorganized. I signed up late in the month. When I went in for my first class I asked the girl specifically about I was paying for. She explained to me it was for one month and the day i started it would end same day the next month! Well that was a lie! After the first class I attended I spoke with the receptionist about my concerns. It was like my fiance and I were teaching our kids. The teacher would show the kids how to do something one time and that was it. I started Oct 23 by Nov 2 i already paid 259.50 My kids went to one class. The first class i went to i had to sign papers that i already filled out online then wait on the receptionist to wait on everyone else around us. My class was about 20 mins long if that. The next class we had to miss do to other plans we had. I called in about my bill and got nothing but Attitude from both people i spoke too! The first lady had a attitude then shes like hold on puts me on with another lady with a Major Attitude!!! I explained to them about what i was told and my concerns about the class. I was super nice to both of them thinking its probably just billing mistake. WRONG!!! The lady explained to me that 126.50 was for my two kids starting the in the middle of the month. Thats for two classes! Then the other 133.00 on Nov. 1 was for the next month but its a month to month billing and contract right? Wrong!! I have to do a 30 day written notice that I need to submit!! lol Since we only went once time I was asked if I could just pay for that class my kids did. She said NO you are in a contract my kids were in a class for 20 mins. I mean really ? I am a business owner and if I had a client unhappy the first thing very first thing i would do is try my best to make them happy!!! Not give them a major attitude trying every which way to keep their money!! I would try to make things right!!! Happy customers will return!!! unhappy costumers will not and make sure they tell everyone about their unhappy experience!! business 101 After receiving such attitude from the both of them why would I even return and show up for the classes??? I mean really!!! If that gym is so desperate for my money then they can have it!!! lol

SO disorganized. I was trying to find a class for my son.. Three calls to figure out what classes they have and got different answers each time (not consistent with the website).
