I’ve tried many yoga studios, but Hot Yoga Sutra truly stands out. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and create a welcoming environment for all levels. The Bikram classes are intense but incredibly rewarding—perfect for building strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. The studio is always clean and organized, with a strong sense of community. After just a few sessions, I noticed a real improvement in both my body and mind. Will kicks my butt and that’s what I come for. It’s challenging and very rewarding. As a snow sports athlete, I highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice or start fresh with supportive guidance.

Started going here a little over a year ago. It has made a huge difference for my mental and physical wellbeing. Very welcoming to people of all abilities. The teachers are all very dedicated to their practice and to the wellbeing of their students. The pricing is great compared to other studios.

This is a great yoga studio with a variety of classes. Street parking is easily available and it's located in a beautiful part of West Philly. I'm a long time practitioner and I've had great experiences with all the teachers and students. Everyone is down to earth, respectful, and friendly. As of this review, if you've never been to Hot Yoga Sutra, you can purchase a $75 monthly unlimited and that will stay in effect unless you cancel your monthly membership. This is an amazing deal for hot yoga compared to other studios in the area. The owner, Gerardo, is warm and welcoming, as are all the other teachers. I highly recommend checking out Hot Yoga Sutra!

I have only been actively attending for 2 weeks and I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in my body's alignment, my sense of inner stillness, and my flexibility. Everyone at the studio is very kind. Gerardo is my favorite as he recognizes where you're at. Yet, he encourages you to get to a place that is challenging yet safe. I am a huge fan!

Great community for hot yoga, the instructors are very knowledgeable and welcoming. Variety of classes to choose from bikram, pilates, vinyasa, and advanced bikram. Steve’s ghosh vinyasa in the morning is especially gentle yet challenging as we start to move our bodies for the day!

Super cute and charming independent studio with a community feel. Not bland and corporate. Offer a good range of class times, like evenings and late afternoon weekends. Teachers infuse spirituality, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation into classes which is unfortunately getting rare these days. Love it when they play relaxing music, use the singing bowl, burn Palo Santo and give you life advice during savasana lol

I’ve been going to the studio since September and it has been life changing for me. I was over the grueling workouts that I was doing at another group class setting and was looking for something more calming. I also had recently got into an accident and had a lot of discomfort prior to doing hot yoga. I found everything that I was looking for and more by doing Hot yoga. I’m forever thankful for Girardo, Michael, Chalise and the rest of the instructors. I live in Fishtown/ Northern Liberties area and honestly don’t mind the drive. It takes me 10 minutes to get to the studio in West Philly for the morning classes. It takes me around 20 minutes for the afternoon classes, which isn’t bad at all! If you’re looking to be challenged but leave refreshed, this is the place to be!

I would give it 10 stars if I could. It sounds cliche but having a regular yoga practice has changed my life mentally, physically, and spirituality. I sit at a desk all day and doing the Bikram yoga makes such a difference and the unlimited membership just encourages me to go more. The instructors are kind and the community is non-judgmental. Everyone and all levels welcome! The first class may be hard but keep with it! I promise! ☺️

I've had a great time so far at this studio. As a complete beginner, it's been very accessible, especially if you are used to doing other kinds of fitness activities that can be abrasive to the body but haven't done much to try to improve flexibility and bodily awareness. There are different options too depending on your vibe, from HIIT classes that will make you feel like you're in a really fun club in Miami, to a variety of yoga approaches that will calm everything down. The instructors I've encountered have been very approachable and the owner Gerardo is really nice!

Not the best experience I've had in a class. People are welcoming but for the high cost, the vinyasa teacher seemed new and spoke too softly to lead the class, was difficult to hear and follow.

I am so glad this business re-opened and stayed in West Philly! The price for the unlimited membership can be daunting at first, but it is so worth it. The classes and instructors leave you feeling pumped up, energized, and recharged. Highly recommend, even if you've never done any time of yoga before.

They offer an amazing assortment of classes - introductory yoga classes, HITT/Pilates, Vinyasa. Gerardo (owner) and the other instructors are all amazing and very welcoming. Don't let the "hot" (and yes it gets very warm in class) aspect deter you - you'll come out of class feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

I scheduled a class for my 10 year old son and I on a weekend when we were in town for my son's hockey tournament. Gerardo was inviting and welcoming, his dialogue took my son and I to another level in our practice, the studio provided the perfect conditions for a challenging and rejuvenating practice, and the other yogis in class warmly engaged my son and I as a visiting member of the hot yoga community. Navigating to the studio and parking was easy. I enjoyed every part of my visit to Hot Yoga Sutra.

"I like Hot Yoga THIS much!" "Styyyyyx... Pay attention! It's palms down to start."
Studio owner Gerardo Nelson Candolino is a very thoughtful and experienced teacher, you'll find him teaching the genuine 26/2 experience in a standard 90 minute session. Catch a monthly Advanced 84 Asanas class with Jessica Joy Myers, trained with Bikram and principal teacher Emmy Cleaves three times a week until HQ's closing in 2016. You won't find a more qualified and experienced wealth of knowledge for miles around!

I love Hot Yoga Sutra! I dropped in one day (first class is free) and I have been addicted ever since. I love the bikram classes and all the Pilates classes. All the instructors are amazing. The yoga instructors are so insightful and obviously good people. The Pilates instructors are intense but give such a great workout. I have gotten three other friends to come with me here, they all love it too:)

Great yoga studio! Is a great addition to the neighborhood, no more going downtown for a good class. Very welcoming for beginners like myself, with great personalized adjustment to postures. Highly recommended!!!
