I wish I read the IRoy volleyball reviews from other parents before signing up. They are all true and would have saved us a lot of time and money.

The facility itself is great. Clean and well maintained. However, the volleyball program itself leaves much to be desired. We did not realize that try outs are private because there are no cuts made. It is a new program pulling from a small pool of players and in previous years, they have not had enough players for each team and had to issue refunds. It is convenient that they host many tournaments at home but the most competitive local teams (Integrity, Synergy, etc.) do not attend. You would think that playing lower level teams would mean more winning but that is not the case either due to staffing issues.

Teams are coached almost entirely by a personal trainer with no previous volleyball coaching experience (owner, who other reviewers have described accurately) and high school students. Due to this, instruction is ineffective at best and deeply concerning at worst. The focus on running and working out is not volleyball specific and not beneficial on the court. As other parents have shared, it has also led to injuries. Basically, it is an expensive rec league.

You will likely see an unkind and accusatory response from the owner here trying to place blame elsewhere as with the other responses but this has been our family’s experience with our daughter on U16. We took her out of her season early because the program refused to hire an adult volleyball coach with previous experience and we requested a refund. The girls are great and have a lot of potential but there is much that needs to change in order for iRoy Dreamers volleyball to be everything it claims it is and for it to become a winning program.

I’ve been a member at Iroy Gym for the past three years, and I can confidently say that my experience has been far from positive. The biggest issue is the lack of equipment maintenance—machines break down frequently, and it takes forever for them to get fixed. This makes working out frustrating and inconvenient.

Another major safety concern is that the staff uses a wired vacuum to clean while people are actively working out. It’s completely unprofessional and dangerous.
Speaking of staff, they are generally unfriendly and unapproachable, making the overall atmosphere unwelcoming.

On top of that, this gym offers no trial period, so you’re forced to commit without even knowing what you’re signing up for. And honestly, the environment lacks any motivation or energy to keep members engaged in their fitness journey.

Iroy is geared towards sports clinics and high school students, but not adults looking to train and build their physique.

Volleyball Players: Beware of this organization for volleyball teams. Protect yourself and your players, go elsewhere. The management of this organization is so disorganized, there is no team unity besides what the players and coaches create themselves. They do not care about their athletes at all, no matter how hard they work for the organization.

The only good part of these teams was their coaches, who are absolutely amazing. I wish the coaches well under such a poorly run volleyball organization.

Not a good venue for volleyball. Cramped, not enough room behind the line for serves. Volleyball is an afterthought, didn’t have the 10 ft line at 10 feet, simply because having it at 14 feet was the mid-court line for the basketball court.

This is an excellent gym that I would absolutely recommend to my friends and family. There are tons of equipment and machines and everything is very clean. The staff (and especially the owner) are incredibly kind and welcoming. Overall its a pleasant atmosphere to get a great workout in! I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could

Great option compared to the ymca, More cost efficient. Good selection of equipment and has nice basketball courts. Times are hard nowadays and this is a great addition to the community.

I used to be a member of this gym, but I had to cancel my membership because of several issues. Firstly, the owner has anger issues and often takes out their frustration on the customers, which creates an unwelcoming environment. Secondly, the gym is extremely cheap and refuses to invest in repairing equipment that is often broken, which leads to long waiting times or even worse, accidents. In some cases, the broken equipment stays unfixed for weeks, which is unacceptable.

Another issue is that the basketball courts, which are advertised as part of the gym facilities, are rarely open to the members because the owner rents them out to make some extra money, which is a clear sign of greediness. Additionally, the water-fountain filter light is always red because it is never replaced, which makes me wonder if the gym cares about the health and safety of its customers. Overall, I would not recommend this gym to anyone due to its lack of maintenance, unprofessional staff, and misleading advertising

Great place for volleyball. Three volleyball courts. The ceilings are high, there is enough space around the court to jump serve, the lines are clear, and the nets and poles are in good shape. Traction has never been a problem; in the 50+ times I’ve been here, the hardwood floors have always been glossy clean. The sidewall is drywall and has surprisingly held up well since iRoy opened up in 2021.

Abundant parking. Gymnasium has heating and AC.

Yori (the owner) and his staff devote their souls into this place. The atmosphere is generally inspiring and optimistic. I would definitely recommend.

I was at a gymnastics competition being hosted there (Jan 2022) and the building was very cold (40 degrees). I am a coach and was very concerned for our athletes to compete in leotards in such cold conditions, so I went to the owner to ask if it could be made warmer for the following days’ competition. I was met with one of the most appalling interactions I have ever been part of/witnessed.

The owner instantly began cursing at me, telling me to take it up with someone else because I was not part of the gymnastics facility that had signed the contract. He then continued to scream and berate myself and another women who came up to discuss the same concern. Very unprofessional and just not a nice person to interact with.

Such a great gym! Not usually crowded when i go which is nice because the machines are easily accessible. The owner is very nice and will help you with anything that you need. Nice locker rooms and nice, clean areas! Definitely recommend! There's many machines that do many different things.

Very nice gym. Lots of space and options for everyone. Clean and well updated. There's rooms with different equipment options, studios, cardio and cycling. Plenty of equipment, I don't think you ever wait to get on a machine. I did a couple fitness classes and thought they were good. Definitely challenging but I felt there was a range of abilities. I felt there was a sense of community where people were welcoming, knew each other and were encouraging. The prices seemed very reasonable and a drop in was very reasonable.

It's a more mature crowd that's concentrated on bettering themselves and those around them. Everyone is so friendly and supportive! The classes offered are awesome and the equipment is of top quality. This gym has something to offer to everyone! Never thought I'd say this but I love this gym!

iRoy's is a friendly, fun fitness center with lots of free classes to participate in. Even daycare is offered. The equipment is kept in top shape and the facility is extremely clean. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. You are always greeted by name. You can really tell that management cares not only for the clients but the image that is projected of the gym. The locker rooms are clean, bright and spacious. Try it - you'll like it - I do!

Great Gym! I have been to many different gyms both in the area as well as out of state. iRoy has it all. As you walk into the gym you are greeted by a POSITIVE written quote at the entrance. Great 1st impression.The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable.Not only are the staff friendly but so are the members :) The equipment is not only SPARKLING clean but the abundance and variety of equipment is wonderful! You will not find the variety of equipment and level of equipment anywhere else in the area. Yori has done a tremendous job and makes my daily visits to the gym very enjoyable. Its a great feeling to belong to a gym that has owners and trainers that not only are great at what they do but LIVE the LIFESTYLE!

Hands down best gym to be a member of. Staff is very welcoming, knowledgable, and takes pride in what they do- making it a supportive environment. Access to a variety of equipment, classes, child-care, locker room/bathroom, pretty much anything you are looking for. Everything is super clean. The second you walk in the doors you feel nothing but positive energy from others and motivation within yourself. No gym compares.

This is the best gym in the area. I moved out of town and joined 5 other gyms because not one came close to Iroy Sport and Fitness. I am so happy to be back. It's immaculate, the staff is friendly and makes it a point to know their guests, the gym is state of the art, the classes are challenging but not intimidating, and the owner is so authentic in wanting his members to be healthy from the inside out. He definitely walks the walk! This is the gym to be at from beginners to novelist.

Can't say enough good things about iRoy Sport & Fitness. Previously joined a few large, chain fitness centers but never attended due to being intimidated by the atmosphere and lack of knowledge. Upon my first visit to iRoy, I was greeted with a warm welcome and detailed tour of the entire facility. The friendly, knowledgable staff never made me feel like any question was a stupid one and provided me with the encouragement to try new classes, which eventually developed into a love for fitness.

Above all, iRoy is the cleanest, most well kept gym I have ever stepped foot in. I have recommended iRoy to countless friends and family. 5+ stars!!!

iRoy Sport & Fitness is the BEST gym in Montgomery County. Staff is very friendly. Instructors and classes are top notch and extremely motivating. The gym offers a variety of classes for all fitness levels and interests. iRoy has one of the largest spin studios in the area. In addition, they have separate rooms for yoga and fitness classes. There is a huge cardio room with plenty of tread mills, Arch machines, bikes, rowers, etc., and there is never a "time limit". The equipment in the weight room is high end and very well maintained. There is also a large variety of free weights, kettle balls and ploy boxes. The locker rooms and gym are extremely clean. On a daily basis you see staff cleaning the equipment! iRoy has the nicest members, they are supportive and encouraging. I can't say enough about the personal trainers, especially Yori. Yori genuinely cares about his members, and wants to see them achieve their weight loss and fitness goals. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process from nutrition, to exercise, and understanding how the body works to get you results. He got me through every plateau. It is because of him that I have lost almost 60 pounds and I am in the best shape ever!!! If you want RESULTS and an amazing, supportive environment come to iRoy.

Iroy sport is by far the best gym in our area. The staff and owner and encouraging, judgement free and overall just kind and honest people. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years on classes and programs and shakes, bars, and supplements, you name it... And now I have Iroy...if you want it, they will push you but if you just want a clean and great environment to workout, this is the place. There are many classes early in the day and into the night, something for everyBODY!

Iroysport Fitness is the best gym in the area. You will never find a facility that’s as well equipped for all forms of fitness activities. There is a wide range to choose from, whether you opt for weights, treadmills, Arc trainers, bikes, step-mills, water rowers, spin bikes or one of our exhilarating classes. lt must also be noted that Iroy is by far the cleanest facility in the area.
