Joined three weeks ago. Very happy with my decision and have really enjoyed my time there so far. morning and evening classes so you can pretty much always fit at least one in the schedule. Coach Issac and other coaches are great teachers and are more than willing to help you learn. Lastly membership is very affordable and you can buy all the gear you need at the gym. 10/10 highly recommend this gym

If you are looking to hone your skills and prepare for competitions, there are many other more relevant reviews. I am speaking from a standpoint of someone who tries to be a bit more active and live a bit better life.
To start with, I am an Asian women above 50 who's never been atheletic of any sorts. I work a lab bench job and the decades have put many different pains in my body. Jogging or weight lifting in the gym etc all are too boring for me. Did some Zumba dancing which was good but I still felt what I wanted wasn't there. I googled martial arts around me and found Jai Singh 1.2 miles away from my home. Reviews are very good so I gave it a try.
They offer a few classes a day from Sun to Fri. I take the all level evening class 3 times a week. It fits my schedule and my level - newbie knowing pretty much nothing about muay thai and having pretty much no muscles no strength no speed. A typical such class starts with warmups of cardio. The following activities focus on certain aspects - kicks jabs defends and some combo - with rotating curriculum by weeks. People are grouped based on levels and heights to practice following instructions. Lower levels like me get simpler and more basic assignments. There are quite a number of coaches, some of whom hold world and/or national championships. Beside their skills and capabilities, I am very impressed that they are all immensely patient. They would repeat the key to a move what's to do what's not to what's typical mistake and all that, time after time, day after day, no frustration no impatience no letting loose.
The fellow trainees are also all super nice. Many of them look very good and competitive. They would greet, encourage, help me with things I don 't do to the point, share experiences, clean and put away equipment etc. They are very supportive to each other. When partnered up with me none of them had any complaints, although they are all much more experienced and would have had better workouts with someone else.
I've waited till I completed three months of classes to write this review. I liked my coaches and fellow trainees from the beginning, but I wanted to see if this class was really for me. There were times during the earlier weeks I was so tired I walked home subconsciously and like woke up wondering why I was walking by a busy road. There were times I thought I couldn't take it any more but clenched my teeth through it. There were times I felt so sore even the back of my feet hurt. But now three months have passed, I don't feel so out of breath during warmup as before, my punches and kicks are a lot more stable, I sleep longer hours, and my neck/back pain is greatly relieved. Weight-wise, hmmm maybe I lost a pound or two, but my whole self looks tighter and more focused. All these said I think this class is for me. I thank myself for taking that initial step, thank my coaches and fellows for their mentoring and support, and I thank Jai Singh for being there.
So yes I highly recommend this place. Just come hand in yourselves to the coaches and watch the results show.

I have trained at several Muay Thai gyms throughout the country and this one is the best. Great not just for technique but the coaches here also teach fitness and mindset in a way that many other gyms don't.

I have now been attending classes at JSMT for just about 2 months and it’s high time I left a review. My apologies to Kru for not getting it into the world sooner. The lasting impression that Jai Singh leaves with you as a student starts with the dedication from the coaches and the owner, Kru Issac and doesn’t stop there. I didn’t know when I started there exactly what I wanted to get out of learning Muay Thai because I didn’t have any specific goals except maybe to stop being lazy every evening. I am 42 and I felt like I wasn’t doing enough for my mind and body to make sure I make it past 90. It didn’t take long for my reasons to adapt and grow into something more to the structure behind what, at least I believe, the gym is about: Learning how to fight and specifically in the martial art of Muay Thai. Kru is not running this gym as a fitness class like many other gyms looking to fill classroom slots and teach aerobic excersize and have zero real world application which does nothing to forward the martial art itself. The weekly curriculum is designed to teach proper technique, prepare you on a fundamental fight level, and yes to teach you how to have the heart of a fighter. You know, the stuff that matters to the art form. Without it, this would just be another workout gym. The workout is an automatic given if you are a student here, it’s what it takes to be able to grow and learn and compete. You come to class, you will be tested on so many levels. There is a reason that many students/fighters in this gym travel well over 30 minutes or more to attend class. It’s the best gym in the area with dedicated, winning fighters, and coaches that will push the hard truth at you to make you a better fighter and individual.
I leave you with this. If you are looking for a gym to just come get the reps in this is likely not for you. I didn’t have any expectations to start but gave it a week, kept an open mind and I have not looked back since and have found purpose to keep me going. Packing in as many classes as I possibly can now. Very thankful this place exists and for Kru and his team as well as an outstanding group of fighters who have all been pushing me forward as I continue to learn and grow.

I started training at JSMT about two months ago after being mostly inactive for the past 10 years since high school. I was looking for something to help me stay accountable as I worked on getting back in shape, and JSMT has far exceeded my expectations.

Originally, my goal was simply to lose weight while learning self-defense, but what I found was so much more. I’ve developed a newfound love and deep appreciation for Muay Thai, and I’ve also discovered a supportive and inspiring community. JSMT is filled with like-minded individuals who radiate positivity. Everyone, from fellow members to the coaches, is incredibly kind and welcoming.

The coaches here are not only knowledgeable and skilled but also deeply passionate about their craft. They know exactly how to push you to your limits, helping you become the best version of yourself as a fighter and beyond.

I’m so proud and grateful to be part of the JSMT family. If you’re on the fence about joining, let this be your sign. It could easily be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make—just like it was for me.

Very happy to have found this place. I've attended classes here regularly for the past couple of months (All levels, fundamentals, and 1:1 coaching) and I've never gone home without learning something new or identifying something to improve.

- Curriculum is structured in a logical progression that helps build your skill set
- Solid gym culture that pushes everyone to achieve
- Coaches that are just as good as teaching as they are in fighting
- Evening schedule makes attending classes very convenient

Jai Singh Muay Thai is the place to be if you want to learn true authentic Muay Thai & Thai culture. Truly a wonderful environment that welcomes people from all walks of life to train in this amazing sport. Joining this gym was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Coach Isaac truly cares not only about his fighters, but ALL of his students that walk through those doors. If you’re looking for a place to grow not only in this sport, but as a person, this is definitely the place for you!

I love this gym - the passion, camaraderie, and talent of the active fighters and coaches is infectious. Kru Isaac brings decades of experience! He teaches styles and drills that he learns directly from Thailand to continue the tradition of Muay Thai. He has built an amazing community for both fighters and MT enthusiasts. After 2 years, I am still obsessed and never bored.

I’ve been training at Jai Singh for about six months and I’m so glad I made the decision to try something new. For traditional Muay Thai training it doesn’t get any better! All of the coaches are experienced and knowledgeable and the entire community is amazing. Taking private training with Coach Luke has also been an invaluable experience. Coach Isaac has such heart and passion for this sport and it’s evident in how he runs the gym and helps his students evolve. I highly recommend joining!!

I started training Muay Thai in Philly for a month (I'm a student at UPenn) but decided to try somewhere else closer to home during my summer break. I'm SO GLAD that I decided to try Jai Singh and was immediately convinced to join after two classes. Two things that stood out to me were how welcoming the environment is and how dedicated the coaches are to their students. The coaches push you to do your best while also enjoying the process. The people are great as well- it was super easy to make friends at the gym. Highly recommend anyone who's motivated and interested in combat sports to come to Jai Singh! Cannot emphasize enough how much I have enjoyed training here over the summer.

I've been training at Jai Singh for a couple of months now, and I can't recommend it highly enough! This school has a warm and inviting atmosphere paired with top-notch training. Whether your goal is to get in shape, lose weight, master self-defense, or become a competitive Muay Thai fighter, Jai Singh is the place to be. With flexible evening and daytime classes, they cater to even the busiest schedules. Isaac, the owner, is the real deal--he regularly travels to Thailand to refine his skills and brings that authentic expertise back to his students. For those with a competitive edge, Isaac also offers specialized fight team training. His dedication and motivational approach will inspire you to push your limits and achieve your training goals.

My son developed an interest in muay Thai, but at 14, I was skeptical about finding a class he would fit into. But to our amazement, we found the Jai Singh Muay Thai. Within the first week of enrolling, my son knew it was the best fit for him. Couch Isack was honest with him in setting up achievable long- and short-term goals.
The Gym itself is clean, welcoming, and diverse. The coaches are excellent, and the classes are top-notch. My son can attend unlimited classes at a very reasonable price. After the lessons, additional practice is offered for those who wish to stay. We love the consistent environment that gifts my son the energy and mindfulness to attack whatever life throws his way; this is a fantastic place to learn new skills, gain confidence, and have a great time pushing yourself.

This is THE place in the Philadelphia area to learn Muay Thai whether your goals are to just get into better shape or to get into the ring. Coach Isaac's depth of experience is un paralleled. Coach Luke's skills and enthusiasm are remarkable. The environment is instructive, welcoming and encouraging but a focus on personal accountability pervades every aspect of your training whether you're an absolute beginner or an experienced practitioner. Check them out, you deserve it!

I love this place so much! I started after not doing any sort of exercise for quite some time- I leave classes feeling challenged but also rewarded so much both physically and mentally. Coach Isaac does a great job at pushing you to do your best without excluding anyone at any level. Some places can feel intimidating, but all the members have been welcoming, encouraging and supportive!
