Gone here for seven years I think. They recently put up signs asking us to review it on Google so here goes… The monthly price is good for what you get equipment-wise. Gym is never too crowded. One big downside is the lack of cleanliness in the men’s bathroom and locker room area. It seems the showers go weeks or maybe months without a good scrub. For years, I brought my own soap, etc. because you can’t rely on what they have there. Lately I just drive home to shower. An obvious cost-cutting measure. How does planet fitness do it for cheaper?

After 10 years of playing badminton, someone wise at the gym leadership decided to shut it down. Business decision aside, folks that play badminton were told, 'We fully support badminton, as long as you don't bring your equipment and we won't provide place to store your equipment AND we won't provide any equipment'... just couldn't figure out the "fully support" part. From a leadership standpoint, this "we fully support badminton" and not allow to store equipment, or provide equipment, is extremely poor narrative - I suggest leadership 101 classes (to both manager and district manager).

Joined in June and they told me to ignore rumors about the pool closing. It closes September 1st. Today I found they no longer offer spray bottles and paper towels to clean equipment - that's been replaced with disposable wipes. You need a new one each time because they dry up and I'm already seeing discarded wipes strewn about.

The new girl at the front desk, I think her name is Jen, that's been there all week is such a delight. She is always so happy, talkative, and helpful. She not only is a pleasure at the front desk, but she is always opening on time, if not a little early and runs around cleaning and trying to fix equipment. I am disabled, and she will help me adjust machines and weights.

I have been going to this gym for over a decade and in the last few years it has been getting more and more disgusting. Recently, the cleaning staff has been doing a great job keeping the workout equipment clean but the locker room, bathroom, and showers are more than being ignored. In the past 6 months I have not seen the cleaning personnel in that area.

The shower walls and shower curtain are orange and slimy with soap scum. There is constant debris on the floor of the showers and band aides/trash that remain in the same place for days and weeks. It is disgusting and obvious the shower walls do not get scrubbed regularly. I doubt the showers are even scrubbed once a month when they should be cleaned and scrubbed almost daily. It is also very obvious that the bathrooms are not scrubbed either. The toilets and urinals are becoming more and more disgusting and the paper towel and toilet paper dispensers are often empty.

The management needs to step up with their standards and accountability and ensure the gym is fully cleaned. Not just parts of it. When I have approached management about it they blame the decreasing membership over the last few years (that caused the pool and hot tub to close) on covid and changing habits of people instead of looking internally and realizing that no one wants to workout in a dirty gym.

LA Fittness- the better value. It's a better value than Planet Fittness because the rates are similar but you get so much more for your money. The classes, the pool, the personal motivation from people like Tamika, instructors like Nancy...its all worth it and these are things you don't get with Plnet Fittness. Love this location!! Why not 5 stars? Because I wish the cardio equipment was down stairs for people like me with bad knees.

Dirty, would not shower there. Dispenser liquids for cleaning equipment always not filled. Been over a week now that disinfecting liquid is not available. I had a good workout until the end I went to take a shower as I was pumping out the soap and washing under my armpits. I realized somebody had put a dirty Band-Aid inside of your soap dispensers not only my discussed it but I fear what could come of it. There are too many things in this world going around. I highly suggest possibly getting locks for your soap dispensers because clearly one of your members is disgusting and decided that it would be a good idea to put their Band-Aid in the soap. I reported it to the front desk and let them know before they closed up so that this issue can be addressed. I’ll be back in a couple days. I’ll let you know if it’s been fixed.

Friendly staff greet you upon entering and exiting. The bathrooms are generally quite clean and functional and the locker room, too. Most especially I appreciate that they have Linda Lee providing cycling classes. After decades of indoor cycling, my fairly young knees were giving out because of sprinting with weight on the flywheel. That’s a no-no in Linda’s classes, and it’s saved my knees and restored the joy and just possibility of cycling to me. Keep having informed instructors!

Multiple times now have not been able to get into club at opening because some staff member is late or a no show. It is now 9:40 when club was supposed to open at 8:00 and still no staff has arrived, no way to contact a manager.

UPDATE: After my complaint, I was contacted by the King of Prussia office stating they are putting measures in place to prevent this from happening. Since then the issue has not reoccurred, I appreciate that they acted on the feedback and am updating my score.

I go to this location and another depending on my work schedule. But I have to say the staff and management are very kind and helpful. Everyone is at the gym is doing their thing and I feel good working out in the weights no matter if there are extremely experienced people/ groups or a beginner like myself. The men’s sauna has been broken for months after they shut it down and claimed to have fixed the heater. The temp varies from 115-140 usually on the lower end. Mentioned the issue to management and they told customers to try going to a different location! Pool is closed. Bathrooms usually dirty, out of tp, out of paper towels. The fact they still collect full price from people monthly is a complete joke. My guess is this place will be closed down within 6 months. Do whatever you can to use a different location and don’t waste your time.

Great gym with tons of equipment. Just can get very crowed at 6pm. My question is why would you have your cleaning crew messing my workouts up. Focus on the gross bathrooms being clean! Learn to manager your cleaning times in the gym. Shutting a machine off or messing someone’s work out up for cleaning is out of control. I pay to enjoy a work out not have cleaning products in my face and having my work out interrupted due to your lack of time management with your cleaning.

I do not recommend this gym. I had my lifting belt stolen and I had asked 3-4 separate times for the staff/manager to help me. Finally, after not receiving any update from them, I called the police to help me but by that time it had been over 2 weeks and the security camera footage had been deleted. I'm giving it 2 stars and not 1 star only because it's still a gym where you can go and get a workout in. The machines are fine, but the overall atmosphere is not worth your time or money. To give some context - this gym is 4 minutes from my house and I drive 15-30 minutes farther so I can lift at a different gym. There are better options out there.

There's no need to visit this place. I enrolled in both the gym and personal training sessions but never utilized either because of the unprofessional conduct at this facility, which negatively impacted my mental well-being. Despite submitting documentation for cancellation, they declined to provide a refund, insisting I can use their services for a month. The corporate office is equally unprofessional, and it's clear that their primary concern is profit!

You're better off investing a little extra at the YMCA. As a first-time member, my experience has been extremely disappointing!

I would never recommend this gym. They have caused inconvenience after inconvenience since I started the membership. The day I signed up, the staff member did not complete all aspects of my sign up, including failing to set up my card for auto payment, as well as not scheduling the training session I asked him to scheduled. I showed up the next day and there was no training session scheduled and was unable to sing in at the gym for a week until they squared away my auto payment so I could actually use the app. Every time I have gone in to get something done it seems like the person I need to speak with is never there. I signed up for personal training, tried it for a month, and decided not to renew. I came to the gym, met with the training manager, and cancelled the training plan. It was within the 5 day window, but he warned me I might still get charged the fee, and if so, to call so it can be refunded. I was charged, and have followed up 2x since and have yet to receive the refund. Then today I get charged the monthly training fee again. It's been a battle to get anything accomplished, and when you feel like you have, it turns out they didn't do what they said they do. Stay away from this gym and join another branch, or another gym entirely. This gym is untrustworthy.

Place has been going downhill for the last couple of years. Broken dumbbells not being replaced, workout benches missing bolts making them wobbly, treadmills not well maintained. Being 250 lbs plus, I can only run on certainly treadmills. They haven't been replaced since I been a member for atleast 10 years. Avoid this location management just passes the buck to the next person.
UPDATE!!! Another bench fully broken after being told for months it needed repair. Also, the clock by the free weights has not been operating for the last 2 weeks, not sure if it needs batteries or replaced.

Place has had the same equipment for the last 25 years. Supposed to have 3 power racks with deadlift platforms , instead has the same 2 busted , awkward squat racks that no one likes. They put up a useless turf area recently that just seems to take up pointless amounts of space. People never put dumbbells or weights back and lastly the place is dirty . Bottom line. Super outdated and dirty. If you’re looking for some place to get strong and in shape, this isn’t it.

Edit- they made this place even worse.. instead of having 3 squat racks they now have 2. So instead of waiting 45 minutes now you only have to wait an hour, lol. They also put in some type of useless turf area that just takes up space and no one uses.

For all wondering how to build a gym . Have a minimum 5 squat racks 5 bench presses , 2 dead lift stations, and 2 incline benches. This is the basis of every functional gym.

If a machine needs maintenance there are obvious notes while it's being worked on, broken pieces have been repaired, etc. The cleanliness of the gym has improved as well, I feel comfortable working out there.

Most of all, the management and employees are very professional and it's easy to find someone if you need them. I've been meaning to update this review for a while, but I appreciate the care that's been placed into making the gym a more comfortable, clean, and welcoming space.

I don't know if the switch from LA Fitness to Esporta has led to a budget cut or management switch at this location, but the quality has severely dropped over the course of the year that we've been with this gym. The equipment is either broken (you can see snapped plastic on the "legs" of the elliptical machines, one of the torso rotation machine has a busted metal weight clip that's bent, there are pulleys that are exposed with chipped plastic on the rowing machines), dirty (with shredded paper and chunks of bubble gum crusted into cupholders and phone rests on cardio equipment, straw wrappers stuck between weights), or missing parts (no safety clip for treadmill, half of the ellipticals don't even have cupholder cups installed). The pool, hot tub, and sauna are "undergoing maintenance" or "have a chemical imbalance" very often, so those amenities are unusable and don't contribute to the value of your membership. Trash cans overflow a lot and theres only 3 or 4 on the entire bottom floor, the bathrooms are kind of a mess. When you walk in, you will notice almost all of the employees on staff congregating up front chatting with each other or on cellphones and it just doesn't look professional when you see how the rest of the gym looks. There are certain shifts where this isn't as big of a problem, and it's great to have good rapport with your coworkers and it seems to be a positive work environment, but it is frustrating to see other things in the facility not being attended to while 3-5 people are hanging around the front desk. If there's a major budget cut, or management switch, or staff shortage (I do see them advertising that they are hiring for ALL positions), I understand why it might be difficult to meet certain standards but I would love to see improvements happen at this location.

I have been taking Angel’s Pilates class for five years. I travel 30 miles each way on Monday mornings just to take her class. She’s the best Pilates instructor I’ve ever had!

The club in Ft Washington is perhaps the cleanest one in the area . My wife loves Angels Yoga class ! She has a great following . If you need a go to spot. This may be the one .

Body Works Plus Abs w/ Jeanette is a MUST! Every Wed and Sat I drive from Philly to Fort Washington to make it to her class. She is Super attentive to the abilities of those in her class while pushing us to go harder to maximize our potential strengths.

My favorite instructor is Jeanette, Body works Weds. 12:00 and Saturday 9:45. She is absolutely the best ! I travel far just to go to her class and so do many others. No one is more inspirational and motivational!

I love La Fitness. I signed up for personal training and love it! My trainer Ethan is the best. He is helping me achieve my goals, like wearing tank tops again. He makes pushing yourself fun! He is very motivating and encouraging, I love our sessions. Great gym all around. Awesome staff.
