Gave this gym a 2nd try after being gone for a year and it was a complete disappointment once again. Gym is never properly cleaned. I saw the same clump of dust bunnies every single time I went to use my usual incline bench, as well as dust pretty much everywhere else in the gym, especially the free weight area. So many machines and pieces of equipment look like they have never been detailed or even just lightly dusted. I work at and have been to gyms that cost half or even a third of the price of LA Fitness that are 10x cleaner and actually do a proper job maintaining the equipment. I've even been to gyms in developing/third world countries that are maintained better than this. There was a separate occasion where one of the bathroom sinks, as well as the floor, and trash can, were covered in dried up blood that looked like it had been there for hours (yikes!). And below, I have attached a video of the fan that is kept in the men's locker room. I think it speaks for itself. Thing looks like a fire hazard and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in half a decade. Paper towels and toilet paper are always out in the men's room. I also signed up for the membership with the $0 start up fee, yet I had to pay $80 to sign up to pay for the "previous month" and upcoming month. Which is fine if you wanna charge a start up fee but don't lie and say its $0. Asking people to pay for a month of something that they never even used is ridiculous. The one trainer there is also super weird and randomly came up to question me in a passive aggressive way about my social media account cause he had seen my videos online. On a separate occasion, he randomly interrupted my workout to ask me if I had used a specific piece of equipment in the PT room in a confrontational manner, to which I said no, and then he just walked away without further elaborating why he went out of his way to ask me that. Then I hear from other people that he's talking badly about me behind my back to people I know. Such strange behavior from someone I have literally never met or gone out of my way to speak to. All of this just truly adds validity to all of the terrible personal experiences I've heard from other people regarding this gym and why it has the reputation it does in the area. The only redeemable qualities of this place are the amount of amenities and some of the machines are actually quite good, as well as the new smoothie bar that just opened, their stuff is really good and the people who work in the bar are extremely kind and friendly. Unlike the actual gym staff who can't ever even be bothered to say hi or bye to you when you leave/enter.

Have been attending for almost 3 years now and have been very satisfied. I love the classes and almost all of the instructors- the classes are the reason I’ve been a member for years and will continue to be! The facility is relatively well maintained, particularly the bathrooms are always clean. Many different demographics attend (age, etc) so all should feel welcome.

I only wish there was a bathroom on the 2nd floor where all of the cardio equipment and fitness rooms are, but obviously they can’t change that now.

It's definitely worth the price of the membership. Relatively easy to get on the equipment and the guests are reasonable. I'd consider putting up signs about filming in the locker rooms. That's usually grounds for banning somebody, and it's also illegal. It's becoming a more common occurrence here. It's a shame you'd even have to tell somebody not to do that, but some people need that Instagram photo, even if that means including your naked grandfather in the background.

But overall, I'm happy with my membership.

My experience was phenomenal. I’m a truck driver and visit many gyms across the country and by far Dave is the best I’ve encountered. Not overly aggressive with pushing me to sign up but also very informative and relatable in explaining to me why La fitness is the best choice for me. My girlfriend and I will be switching over in hopes that the staff in my hometown is like Dave at the location in Greensburg PA.

Broke out in hives today after under 10 minutes in the sauna here because people just pour random scents in the sauna. Than when I asked if there was something we could do? I was forced to fill out an incident report. Seems like a free for all at this place.

The cleaning lady doesn’t clean but instead try to intimidate people at night and even yelled at me once, that it was 10pm when it was in fact 9:50pm. I have reported it several times. I LOVE the Aquafit classes here. I go 2x/week (and would go 3x if the Wednesday class wasn't during work hours), and it's always a great workout.

Both instructors (Carrie and Pat) have their own stretches and exercises, and they each switch things up occasionally too, which keeps it from getting stale. Plus, they're both just generally awesome teachers and great at motivating and keeping us moving during class!

Aquafit is a structured but go-at-your-own-pace class that is great for all ages! Highly recommend!

Great experience as an out of town customer. I normally lift in my basement but when I'm in Greensburg for family visits the LA Fitness is my new gym, which has great facilities on top of great service. Obviously LA Fitness is not interested in helping the senior population or swimmers who train.. Many seniors can only exercise in the pool. There is only 3 lanescan only exercise in the pool. It is only a 3 lane pool,with no lane flags or time clock. I only use this gym when I visit my daughter, if I lived here I would go to the Y. I tried to swim the other day and there were 10 people trying to use the lanes.

Quality amenities come at the cost of hilariously poor cardio equipment and an excessive membership dues.

The cardio equipment is hilariously out of date and all the proof I need is a photo of attached iphone plugs. The wide ones they had on the really old iPhone and iTouch and iPad I would have used in early high school 15 years ago. That said, they offer 3 amenities Planet Fitness does not (at the greensburg locations) (and i think are worth mentioning).

1) Sauna, not something I particularly care for, but a good bonus.
2) Exercise Pool, good for swimming laps. Not my thing once again, yet a whole different exercise option for all.
3) Hot tub, great for relaxing after exercise. I use it every now and then. Great for evening workouts when older folks have gone home and you largely have privacy.

In addition, this gym is more spacious and privacy is within reach with more equipment and a nice loft just for cardio and relevant classes. Much better than PF where weight lifters are always in view and constantly flexing (and also feels more like a muscle building focused environment, kind of have a hard time focusing on burning my fat there)

All this said, you are paying a significantly higher price and not getting the standards to reflect it, just more options you may not use and find justify said price. At least for myself, my gym pass is a $15 paycheck deduction, but is that worth what you are getting? Think about it

They have closed their pool. There was a large group of seniors that used the pool every morning and several days in the evenings. These seniors are not able to use other equipment so the pool was their only form of exercise they could get. Too bad that they don’t value seniors!

This place has become a total disaster. Dirty and grimy everywhere you look. Old outdated cardio equipment that desperately needs updated. The ellipticals are literally beginning to rust from all the sweat and lack of cleaning. The bathrooms are disgusting and the locker room is no better. There are lockers that are missing doors and half the sinks only work half the time. There is never soap in the dispensers. The toilets are a mess at all times and the walls. Machines and equipment are out of order regularly. They took away all the paper towel dispensers and replaced them with el cheapo deluxe cleaning wipes that are literally see through so when ur cleaning stuff off you can bet ur getting whatever sweat you wipe up on your hands. They redid the stairs but the rubber strips keep coming up, instead of fixing it correctly they put a cone and weights on it. Speaking of cones, in the parking lot a drainage grate has been broke for months now and not been fixed just orange cones put up in the spots that it affects. I am very disappointed in the overall upkeep and state of this gym. I have been coming here since 2014 and have never seen it this bad. it is sad to see too because it could be such a nice gym if they made some updates , renovations and hired more cleaning staff to take care of the place. Hoping something is done about all of this soon, I know I am not the only one noticing all of this stuff and its sad because la fitness is supposed to be a more premium gym. I pay $35 a month here, and $10 month at planet fitness. Planet fitness is much cleaner and the price is a lot cheaper. Not sure why this place couldn't invest the money into making it a nice gym like it could be.

When in Greensburg, PA over the holidays, I used the local LA Fitness extensively and was very impressed.

The manager is a lier, they fired my trainer, never attempted to get me a new one for 3 months.

Then I moved and had hell canceling my contract. Still waiting on my refund from all of the personal training I never received.

Only been 6 months.

Go anywhere else. Avoid this place

Not enough chairs in fitness classes…… the pool is nice but it is always very very very cold. I am in my 70s along with many others. People at our ages cannot handle these cold temperatures…. Please heat it up. Every time we complain they might heat it a little bit. I feel la fitness does not want the older people there.

For a gym that charges new members $39.99, the least they could do is clean the showers and change the MOLDY shower curtains. The was a specific used band-aid on the floor in one of the showers for A WEEK. It's disgusting and unsanitary, especially after a pandemic.

After switching around gyms, I knew that LA Fitness in Greensburg was the one for me. The gym is seldom too crowded for a great workout, the gym members are all nice and hardworking, and the staff is excellent. The Fitness Director Ryan showed world-class customer service when I came in for a membership Q&A, and personally greets me each time I enter the gym. Mr Dave Paul is a great gym manager and always answers my questions thoughtfully and diligently. I am so glad I chose LA Fitness in Greensburg!
