I go between various LA Fitness locations depending on where I am, and this one is by far, the grossest. It's like they have put $0 investment in since it opened 25ish years ago. Everything just looks and feels completely filthy and worn out. If you must go to LA, go to Ft. Washington or Warrington.

My husband and I had an excellent experience signing up for a membership at LA Fitness on County Line Road, and we owe a big thank you to the general manager, Tino. From the moment we walked in, Tino was extremely welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful.

This was our second time signing up with LA Fitness, and we were impressed by the level of care and detail that Tino provided. Unlike our first experience at a different location—where a lot of important details were glossed over—Tino took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. He made sure we understood all aspects of our membership, and he answered all of our questions and we had A LOT of questions.

Tino truly goes above and beyond for his members. It’s rare to find someone so committed and dependable in customer service these days, but Tino is exactly that—a man of his word.

Wall clock still broken I guess work order is still in progress. I have aa battery in my car and very tempted to just climb up and install the battery. 2/8: hot tub parts big tank is in, it is sitting at the end of the pool and it will be replace and fixed in few weeks.

2/3/25: hot tub still not working. wall clock in the pool is broken for 1.5 mons. Most probably out of battery. I know it is just a wall clock but it messes up with your time when you are there to during your lunch break to get some workout done.
Mentioned it to front desk and they said work order has been facility manager and they will fix it. common it is just the battery replace it and it should not take more that few hours. it is almost 2mons now. i agree with other user men room is not clean. my biggest problem is tissue lying around all over the place. Also I dont understand these are grown people and when they wipe their bodies with small tissue why cant they throw it in the trash. trash can is always over flowing with napkins. if you inform front desk they say sure will fix it but you go there after 1hr it is still there. i dont know if anyone from front desk is responsible for the cleanup or they have to put a "work order" to fix it. One of the young kid from front desk was cleaning the bathroom and was not happy about it because they are short on budget so cleaning team has limited service and front desk people have to chip in.

7/27: I use this lafit mostly for swim and hot tub. Most of the time hot tub is broken and now the pool will be closed for another month or so because water went inside electrical panel and they have replay the whole pool electrical panel.
Since 2020 aka pandemic this place has gone down hill. either pool or hot tub is broken for server days or weeks.
Positive: they resurfaced the pool which gives clean nice look
Negative: they dont sweep the floor pool so now the dust/garbage under the water is more visible good luck swimming with head down and watching the dirty under the water.

This gym is very dirty🤢. There aren't even basic wipes to wipe up after yourself or before training, everything is dirty, napkins are lying around everywhere. Over the past 4 months, I have never seen anyone cleaning this gym. And as for the toilets and changing rooms? I won't even say anything about it. It's just awful. Because of this, I'm forced to change my gym for now.

I just joined this LA fitness so my review is based on 1 experience. It’s a nice gym but i feel their equipment is a little repetitive while missing other equipment. The shower I chose was clogged so in future I will test stalls to find one thats not. I wear shower shoes and it’s a little grimy standing in clogged shower water there. The sauna benches were also not clean yesterday, I bring a towel but I wish they were a little cleaner. As with any LA fitness there are no sauna etiquette rules posted so it’s always annoying that people (who probably just do not know any better) come in with sweaty gym clothes and socks which is not hygienic (no one wants to breathe in your sweat. Please shower first and change into at least a towel or swim suit or go nude.) I will update after being there longer but i wish mainly the bathrooms and sauna were kept cleaner.

I have to say this place just needs to step their game up. Two benches (out of only 5!) have been inoperable for almost 2 months. On top of that a couple treadmills have been inop as well for a while. On top of that, the dumbbell area literally smells like a septic tank. It's insane. Bathrooms are also always disgusting. I can't look past a lot but this is just ridiculous. When you ask the kids up front they shrug and act like it's nothing. Meanwhile all the paying customers are talking about it and pissed off. I don't know if it's a corporate owned store or private owned but regardless they need to step their game up. For what they charge there are much better options in the area unfortunately. I stay with them because of how much I travel and need the reciprocity in other states. Every other la I've been to is way better. This one doesn't need a lot either... A quick refresh of the mats/flooring and new benches and maybe a couple new pieces of equipment and it would be great. I now drive 25 minutes to the totally redone langhorne location to avoid this location.

Been a member for 10 years and never seen it get this bad. Start somewhere else. 5+ treadmills broken, no one cleans, locker room smells really bad..always 2-3 machines broken..5 benches and 2 have been broken for weeks. I rarely rate but I had to say something..management needs to be fired.

I was shocked today when I showered after swimming in the pool to find a man cleaning the glass mirrors and mopping the floor in the women’s locker room! He said he was sorry. I asked… “ is this normal? A man in the women’s locker room? This is unacceptable!”He pointed to a sign on the floor, which was very difficult to read because it was black ink on a dark blue background. It said, ‘beware men cleaning in the locker room’.
I don’t care if there were 10 flashing signs, men have no place in a women’s locker room! End of case! Hire a woman to clean the women’s locker room Or have a man clean it when the gym is closed!

At least the man's bathroom area stinks. It looks like there is no air ventilation or something else...I can't be there because it makes me vomiting. The urine does not go down maybe because those automatic water realese are damage. The problem to me is that there is no inspection from the management so people don't care about. Also, there are warnings about thieves and that says a lot about that place. I hope my comment is acceptabe as a constructive one and somebody takes action to avoid this situation. Everything else it's ok, just the room where men do their number 1 and 2 stinks and is not acceptabe.

LA Fitness Huntingdon Valley is a disgrace. The filth and disrespect of management is beyond repair. The pool area has mold all on the areas surrounding the pool and spa. The bathroom has overflowing trash cans, broken toilets and hair and mold in the shower area. The sinks don’t work but that is ok because the soap dispenser is always empty. When telling management about this they just laugh at the Acqua ladies and don’t care. The heater is always broken. What are we paying for. Now I know there will be no response from LA Fitness but the health department did respond!!!

I am mostly happy with my experiences with this gym, but wish machines were fixed more quickly when they go down, cleanings were more regular, and the sauna temperature turned back up please! Myself and three other ladies in there at the same time as me today were very unhappy with the fact that we were barely even sweating while in there. Stretching in the sauna has been a very important part of my self care regimen, and I'm super disappointed with this change! I understand from the girl at the front desk that one person complained that it was too hot last week, but there is a sign that warns of the 180 degree temperature, and I think that appeasing one person at the expense of many others was not the best idea. Please bring back the actual HOT sauna! Thank you for considering! :)

I’ve been a member of this gym for a while now, and while I appreciate the variety of equipment and classes offered, I’ve been increasingly disappointed with the cleanliness, especially in the evenings. Unfortunately, the facility often feels neglected; there are stray hairs scattered around, and the showers frequently have debris and bits of paper, giving off an overall unkempt vibe. The locker room floors consistently appear and hygienic environment during our workouts. If we’re all paying on time, we’d appreciate it if the gym could prioritize maintaining its facilities in a timely manner as well.

This gym is absolutely disgustingly dirty. Every locker in the ladies room has grimy sticky handles, the garbage is often overflowing and the bathrooms are filthy a Petri dish of germs since the stalls are near the entrance to the pool. There very little energy in this gym, no music and, if you’re looking for the latest and greatest, skip it.

UPDATE TO THE ABOVE REVIEW SUBMITTED ONE YEAR AGO:
The conditions listed above have gotten much worse. It is no wonder at all why, in any given week, there are signs on cardio equipment or sinks in the locker rooms that say "Service Needed". There is no care, let alone upkeep. The machines aren't cleaned or sanitized - there is sweat build-up, dirt and grime around the base and near the belts of the treadmills, and the same dust, dirt and disgust around the weight machines. The turf hasn't been vacuumed in months. The knobs on the locker rooms are worse than any handle in a daycare would be. The women's sinks are filthy. The mirrors have water splashed all over them. More often than not, one sink is out of order and two of the three hand soap dispensers are empty. Trash is overflowing in all areas. I don't even use the rest room because I'm nervous about whatever bacteria has been layered on the toilets. SKIP THIS GYM. I've gone to so many gyms in my lifetime and this is, by far, THE WORST. Even the staff don't seem to care. They sit at the front desk on their phones, barely greeting people or doing their jobs. You'd think they'd do a pass around the floor or through the bathrooms every so often, at least to handle the overflowing trash! Members are disgusted and the only reviews on here that are responded to by LA are the good ones "thanks for your review....." This one will probably be deleted. The annual fee plus the monthly for this gym amounts to $350/year. Multiply that by the number of years people pay for and the number of members and there should be enough money to pay a cleaning organization to get in there and clean it regularly if they can't hire someone who can take care of this mess. SKIP THIS GYM. And, if you are a member, FIND ANOTHER GYM.

Edit: january 2025- place is back to being a pigsty. Came in here twice in the last 3 weeks and both times the (mens)locker rooms were grimy, with paper towels on the floor, showers are still clogged and drain flies camping near the ceiling, the DRY sauna feels like a STEAM room from every other person walking in, dousing the rocks with a half a bottle of water, then walking out 2 minutes later.

The only good part is the swimming pool is empty. Which I'm assuming is because they're as dirty as the rest of the gym. Probably has to be the dirtiest LA fitness outside of philadelphia county

Edit: 2023 not sure what happened, but this place changed around completely in the last few months - this time, for the good. After taking a minor detour down pigsty Avenue with the eSporta rebranding, this place became possibly the cleanest gym I've ever been to. Looks like it's back to LA fitness on Maps as well.

Everytime I come in there's somebody cleaning the lockers, sinks, or showers. I almost feel like I should tip the cleaning staff, they do such a phenomenal job (at least in the men's locker room; sorry ladies, not risking my membership just to have a thorough review)

Back to looking forward to my visits and able to recommend the place to friends and family alike once more. Hfs Good job guys!

I go to LA fitness in huntingdon valley and my trainer is Dawson Belmont. Dawson is a great trainer and an amazing person to work with to get yourself into shape! What I like most is his personalized attention to his clients goals, the expert instructions on how to do the exercises, and more important than anything the way he respects his clients and makes them feel like the most important person in the room! Dawson always leaves his customers with an impression of increase! He is a diamond asset for LA Fitness!

My biggest problem is the filth in the gym. We haven't seen housekeeping cleaning the machines in weeks. The bathrooms get cleaned hopefully weekly but even thats a wish. The shower stalls have no soap but they do have hair balls and dead insects and flaking paint. The only update they have done to the gym in the last 10 years is to the pool and resurfaced the floor in the basketball court. I have cultivated many friendships during the years which makes it hard to leave but I have joined the YMCA and its well worth the money.

The quality of service at this LA Fitness location in Huntington Valley has significantly declined over the past month. The gym has become very dirty, especially in the locker rooms and workout areas. Equipment is poorly cleaned, and soap and toilet paper are often missing in the showers. Nice setup. Most machines working. Only saw one out of order. Floors were super dirty. Like I barely wanted to sit my large water bottle down. Bathroom/locker room was pretty clean. But trash was over flowing in the bathroom onto the floor. This is one of the few locations that offers Pilates, the class was super full. They have basketball courts and racquetball. No creeps that I saw, no one was really paying attention to anyone else. But it was pretty big. I would come back for sure.

I recently signed up at this location.
Young man named Gio was there and told me if I signed up today he would waive the annual fee for me.

Surprisingly 2 weeks later I get charged the fee, I got to the branch to explain but Gio is no longer working there.

After, I requested to speak to a manager which was rude and said I guess we can’t do anything about it.

I like the gym and the facilities but I don’t like the staff at this branch.
I will be making a larger complaint to higher management soon.

It’s the bare minimum for a gym. Ok for cardio & weights, but locker rooms & bathrooms are super dirty and disgusting. Trash never emptied, machines never cleaned, sinks broken, bathrooms trashed, water machine dirty. Equipment gets broken for months and they have no update. Slippery floors constantly, lawsuit waiting to happen. Front door staff constantly changes, either they ignore you when you come in, or they are clueless if you need help. The funny thing is that they ask you leave a 5 star review - the owners obviously don’t care about clients.

I’ve been going here for about 6 months. It’s not great.
Once you enter the doors it’s like walking into a strange surreal world. I usually go early in the morning and have often wondered if I’m still asleep.
The negatives:
I spend half of my workouts replacing weights since nobody here removes plates from their machines. I mean nobody. I’ve been going to gyms since I was 14 and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.
The gym is dirty. I’ve seen people with skin rashes and bumps on their exposed arms, legs and backs not wipe down after their sets. I rarely see anyone wipe down. The wipe stations themselves are often empty. So when I’m not removing somebody else’s weights, I’m usually walking around looking for cleaning wipes instead of working out.
The people that workout here are ‘strange,’ to put it mildly. Today a woman picked up my water bottle while I was working out. She then handed it to me as if I didn’t know it was mine. I wasn’t sure if she drank from it so I had to throw it out. Stuff like this happens daily.
The free weight area has a foul moldy smell.
The positives:
The tall blond haired man with a silver chain that works the front desk in the morning is the only person that’s ever greeted me. He’s very friendly and talks with a lot of the customers.
The one personal trainer with brown hair and a beard seems like he has a good attitude as well.
Everyone else that works here just kind of meanders around aimlessly without a purpose.
The machines and weights are all functional.
I’ve never used the bathroom or locker room area so I can’t comment on that.
2/5. I’m not sure what can be done to fix this place. It’s more of a clientele problem than management itself. More cleaning supplies and stricter rules would be a nice start though.

Dawson is the best personal trainer hands down. He understands what it takes to lose weight and help people meet their fitness goals. Don't train with anyone else but him.

Always super packed. Last time I was there it was pretty dirty, paper towels all over. Front desk staff would sometimes greet you or just kind of stare at you. Sometimes greeting someone goes a long way. Overall decent facility despite it always being packed.

Me and my girlfriend went with the guest pass to see if we wanted to switch gyms. Gio was wonderful in explaining the different memberships and going over the different class they had during the tour I asked if we had to join the the class before they started as I notice the pool had a class and was curious about it. He responded with you don’t have to join feel free to go right in. The class started at 6 and it was maybe 5-10 minutes in. As we walked in Gwendolyn the class instructor said did you not read the sign. I apologized and said Gio said we could walk in to the class to see if I wanted to join or just join right in she then rolled her eyes and threw up her hands and just overall was very unprofessional. Glad to have experienced that before I joined the gym definitely will not return.

Whenever I am visiting the area, I always make it a priority to add a stop at this particular location. The set-up is by far the most up-to-date and varied especially the training and stretching turf which is awesome. Staff is friendly although I think perhaps the younger/new hires may be a little shy and need some time and training to get acclimated to their role when greeting members upon arriving/when exiting which I can understand having been once a shy guy myself. Overall, it is worth the money and the cluster of amenities.

Happy with this facility. I am a swimmer, so only use the pool. I do wish the facility would find a way to notify patrons when the pool is not open. Why not create an "Alert" area in the app. It stinks to drive all the way there to find the pool is not open. During the last instance, they did not even have a sign on the door. Now I feel like I have to call before every visit.

I recently joined this club and the service was outstanding! The team there exceeded my expectations in terms of service. Gio and Ian made it very easy for me to get started and gave me a game plan for me to do when I workout. My first PT session with Gavin was the best workout of my life. His personality was great and he makes it fun to go to the gym. I definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area. It is worth it!

I’ve been to 3 local Gyms. This is by far the best for a few reasons. My trainer Gavin is incredible! He’s knowledgeable, listens, communicates and is always hyping me up to be better. He’s like a friend that’s a personal trainer.

The rest of the team, especially Gavin, Ian and Gio are incredible. Always smiling, incredibly welcoming and funny. My wife was going to another local gym and I convinced her to give them a shot, she loves it as much as I do.

I HIGHLY recommend!

Basketball courts have tons of dead spots. You can get hurt easily because of that playing basketball. Warrington courts are better.

I am a new member and I love this gym! The manager, Gio, was a big help when signing up and really knows what he's talking about. Also pretty easy on the eyes too ;) The staff is very friendly and you can tell that they care about their members. I love that this gym has a juice bar and the woman that runs it is very kind and cares about putting a smile on customers faces. Would recommend this gym to anyone that is looking to start or get back into fitness!

Have had a experience with this gym, been using it for the past year. Mostly for racquetball - the courts are good and they have 4 of them. Facilities are overall clean and well maintained. Staff has always been responsive.

Love this gym! I use it when I am in town visiting my dad. It has a great selection of machines, free weights and a large functional area with great equipment. It’s clean and well maintained. And the staff is always very friendly. Hannah helped me this time and was awesome! She has perfect customer service skills.

We were sucked in and the pool closed immediately for 30 days. It has been nothing but problems since Dec 13,2023 . Heater broken now and problems withe the monthly membership credit card payment. Do not recommend.

We have been coming to this location for nine years now. Except for a few months during the pandemic, we have been using our membership regularly. During the pandemic, the manager helped me put a freeze on my husband’s membership and I continued and even expanding to a family Esporta membership. My husband returned recently and over the weekend, when he scanned his card, we were told his membership was canceled. Even though we were paying the $10 monthly hold, we were told he owed $356 in back membership fees. I have no idea what happened. We lost our awesome membership rate that we’ve had for the past nine years. Imagine how disappointed we were, contemplating even leaving LA fitness.

The new manager, Drew, helped us get things straightened out and set us up with new memberships doing his best to meet us at our prior membership rate and making us as whole as possible.
We are so hopeful that Drew will bring some great things to our location. Especially looking forward to some improvements to the cleanliness of the fitness area, locker rooms, and pool. Highly recommend, especially under Drew’s management.

Best gym in the area by far. Great experience, front desk staff kind, professional, and friendly. Gym is clean, full of equipment, locker rooms clean. It’s always a great visit when you come here. My friend has a membership and brings me as a guest. Came in tonight first time in awhile and heard both GM Kevin and OM are gone now. They were the only reason me and my other friends even came to this La fitness to begin with. Everyone liked them and the vibes were always good with them.. Now that they are not there I'm getting my friends to cancel their membership since the gym is half broken down and old equipment anyway. Good luck to new management this place is gonna fall apart. La fitness constantly turning over new people and wonder why other gyms like Edge and Crunch are thriving.
