This club is very well maintained, and the front desk managers couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Having used their Neshaminy club prior to coming here, I was very pleasantly surprised. The treadmills at Neshaminy are very rough and worn. The ones at this club are practically brand new, and I have never failed to have soap readily available in the showers, contrary to my Neshaminy experience.

A lot of equipment but they have a high % of broken equipment and out of order signs. Today a machine I used yesterday was marked out of order. It was OOO earlier this year also. Another today had a screw missing that was holding 2 2.5 Weights.

Cleaning is inconsistent, the sauna floor has been mopped 4 times since the renovation once this past week.

Update - the sauna floor was being mopped today (10.9) it was cleaned also one day last week. No out of order signs this week. But 2 elliptical still can't be used , in the same condition since the remodeling.

This has been my home gym for 16 years, but I really only come here out of convenience on my way to work in the morning anymore, definitely not the up keep or relative humdity inshde which is near tropical. Here is a sample of the up to date current state of a cluster of chest/shoulder machines, with these signs showing signs of aging - along with a thermostat at an ungoldy 74 to 75 degrees daily. I just came back from Orlando where it was about 96 - 98 degrees outside and the gym was perfectly comfortable and all machines available...

As of 9/19 two out of three of these machines are still 'scheduled for serivce' - how hard is to find a handle for a near brand new shoulder press machine???

It's now near mid OCtober and I've been thinking, maybe if we do a donation drive we can scrounge up enough capital for the STILL MISSING HANDLE ON THE NEW SHOULDER PRESS ------

I signed up for LA fitness a few months ago and it has been a fantastic experience so far. They have great amenities for the pricing. All the workers are super kind and try their best to help you. Was very disappointed to arrive at 8 am and wait for the gym to open with a large group of other members on Sunday 5/18. Not sure what time the doors finally opened. I left at 8:15 because I didn’t want to wait indefinitely.

Also kind of feel like there was a bait and switch involved. When I signed up, there appeared to be a lot of open floor space available to members, but within a week part of that, a sizable portion of it was roped off for personal training customers only.

Also there are not cleaning wipes in enough places (mats in the group fitness room but no nearby cleaning supplies - ick)

So 2 stars because the machines work.

Edited to remove a star because when I tried to cancel my membership they lied and said the only possible way to do so was to come in person between 9-5 on a weekday. This is not true.

If you’re getting the “I’ll call you back” runaround from management you should create an online account and you’ll be able to cancel on there.

I had a frustrating experience with the staff and management at this location. I originally had a membership here and asked the general manager how I could get access to a second location. She told me not to worry and said she’d upgrade my account — but instead, she switched my membership entirely to the second location, which removed my access to my original club (which I never asked for).
When I came back to explain the situation, the weekend manager told me I’d have to start a brand new membership and pay another $100 initiation fee — even though I heard the GM say he could reduce it for me.
I’ve paid thousands in dues over time, so my expectations were reasonable. I just wanted to continue using my original club.
Later, I tried to come in and pay the usual $10 inter-club fee to work out, but the same weekend manager charged me a $20 guest fee instead. It wasn’t about the $10 difference — it just felt petty and unprofessional, especially since he clearly knew the proper policy.
Overall, the way the situation was handled felt immature, disorganized, and not reflective of how loyal members should be treated.

I was really excited when they did a makeover to improve the gym, but it's ridiculous when equipment goes down and does not get fixed for weeks upon weeks. There has been some equipment that has been down for over a month, and I'm really starting to think about leaving and going somewhere else. Great experience visiting this LA Fitness in PA. The facility was clean, well-organized, and had everything needed for a solid workout. Racism?
I went to this gym with my 3 friends (who are white) they went in ahead of me with expired invalid unpaid guest passes and the guy (white guy, kind of ginger wearing a kid rock shirt) at the front counter was very kind and understanding letting them in without having to pay for a guest pass even though thay would be company policy. When I (middle eastern man, and wearing a shirt with arabic text on it) walked in his demeanor completely changed and he was suddenly rude and a bit aggressive with me. Insisting that the only way he would let me in is if I paid for a 20 dollar guest pass. It certainly felt a bit odd and upsetting that my friends who are not paying la fitness customers where let in for free no issues whilst me who is a 2 year long paying customer from another club wasn't let in.

If the employee was consistent with all 4 of us and let us all in or made us all pay then I wouldn't have thought anything of it because he would just be doing his job. But it feels a bit strange and racist that my 3 white friends got special against policy treatment whilst he suddenly had to follow the rules when I came in.

If it wasn't for this I would give this gym 5 stars since the facilities are great.

wide variety of equipment and machines. only downfall is that everything is wildly outdated, broken, and falling apart. gym is covered is carpet which is stained, ripped, and gross. many machines/benches have rips/tears and show decades of use. this club is always busy, and I don't get it due to the cost and quality. the only upsides are convenient location, and number of weights/machines. currently belong through my insurance, but it leaves so much to be desired. it has the potential to be a fantastic gym, just one of the worst la fitnesses I've ever been to.

update 7/24/25: gym underwent large renovation this past spring. carpet was replaced with tile, and many of the machines and weights were replaced. however they held onto a decent amount of older equipment. could use more up to date cardio equipment, and more cable machines. they took away some of the area used for stretching, which is a downfall. cleaning is still not a priority, with constantly dirty mirrors and hairballs/dust collecting around the floor. overall- an improvement, but still is lackluster.

It's a relatively affordable option with both a pool & childcare, and not affiliated with religion or right wing politics. But still very disappointed with the overall ventilation, especially in the shower rooms - they just renovated the exercise area, but did nothing to address the cause of persistent mold in the shower area - needs better ventilation, not just a paint job.

The gym got a much-needed overhaul with new equipment and set-up. Experience has been mostly positive so far after a year. The facility could use more frequent walkthroughs to maintain empty bins, clean surfaces, and less refuse lying around in random places. The staff is mostly pleasant and polite except for a few youngsters who, for starters, neither greet nor bid farewell let alone even acknowledge a member entering - I mean, you guys chose to work here and not against your will, so does it not make basic sense that ya'll at least try to do the minimum? These things, though small, do make an impact and need significant improvement. If it seems like it's asking for too much, then much luck to ya'll.

I walked into the gym earlier today with a guest and requested a 3-day guest-pass. David was at the front desk, and he took us to one of the desks to complete the guest pass registration process. Within few seconds a gentleman named Ravi showed up and he wanted me to sign up for personal training evaluation. After I politely refused his offers multiple times, I was told that they couldn’t give a 3-day guest pass to my guest and that I must pay for my guest’s visit today. I also noticed Ravi was trying to indicate something to David by hiding his face away from me – and Ravi’s behavior looked so obvious. I realized what was going on and confronted them about 3-day guest pass offers. David then apologized and issued a 3-day guest pass. I later learned that Ravi is David’s manager, and David was probably helpless but to follow Ravi’s instructions. I have been a member of this gym for last couple of years and I was disheartened to see such dishonesty from a manager trying to sell personal training. I have still given 3 stars - because I love everything else in this gym except this one incident earlier today.

I came to the location to use the free pass to check out the new equipment I was told they upgraded. I came last year towards the end with a pass but I didn’t stay because the equipment was very old and uncomfortable. So I decided to give it another try today. I was greeted with the GM Ravi all started fine until he ignored my urge to go workout and proceeded to try to sell me a membership. I told him several times I want to work out and we can discuss after. I went to my car to get my license and he asked my friend if I been here before she said not recently. He told her “okay I didn’t want to embarrass her I just had to embarrass a few people” I think that’s unprofessional and very rude. It was an unnecessary comment and that’s not how you speak about soon to be customers. I’m unsure if I want to gym here.

I’m really upset they took away the mats to stretch. Not everyone goes to the gym just to lift weights and do cardio. There’s nowhere to stretch, which is important to a good workout. The turf is covered in equipment and there’s no room to even lay down yoga mats. It’s nice that they’ve remodeled, but they’re pushing out some Of their patrons by doing this.

I like LA Fitness but this is a VERY unfortunate, isolated and oddly situated location. It would be better sited with better and more and lighted parking lot and better pedestrian access. At the Oxford Valley Mall or the Target Shoooping Center or Langhorne Shopping Center would be better. They would all be more convenient and safe. Who can work out well worrying about your car being broken into or getting in and out of the building. Where Pet's Smart is wouldn't be bad, either. Where it is located is simply bad and this is why I am dropping my membership; I don't go because it does not feel safe.

I gave two stars because I was member of LA Fitness for 10 years and I also signed up my son of 7 years old for kids club for the last three years but the last Tuesday it took me more time to finish my routine that I’m usually going so I told my son wait for me in the table while I was working out, It was no more than 30 minutes to finish my routine and when I was leaving the club, one of the girls told me is the last time that you leave your son on the side So I told her, he was sitting on the table, he didn’t even move because he was waiting for me. Good gym but most of the cardio has been in need of repair for months. All but one of the stepper are broken and a lot of the other step machines are broken. Dumbbells are never put back properly if at all.

I just left the Oxford valley LA Fitness. I am new to the Pennsylvania area. The staff were very welcoming at the front desk, and the trainer I spoke with was very helpful. This gym would be a great place for a new comer like myself to start their fitness journey!

I've been a member of LA Fitness for a long time. This locations has THE BEST management team. The front desk manager Samantha is really friendly and helpful. The General Manager Jay is always willing to work with you to help you find a deal that you're gonna afford AND he know PERSONAL TRAINING, so he can help you with your workouts.

The reason I give the two stars is it's a nice gym but the hours are terrible but used to be 24 hours. I get out of work on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. And the gym closes by 7. :00. I can never work out on weekends because of the early hours they have. Also they need better gym maintenance. A lot of machines don't have the stickers to say how much weight is on it. .

Literally the worst. This LA Fitness in particular hustle people out of their money. I live in NJ and a member at lifetime fitness. I wanted to see if LA Fitness has a basketball league like lifetime. If they did I was going to join. So I did the guess pass for the day. I get to La Fitness and they saw me with my basketball gear and said that the guess pass don’t get you access to the basketball court?! If I want to use the court I have to pay $20 for the day admission. The guest pass says I have access to the entire facility! I also called another La Fitness and they said their guest pass user can use the whole gym! Sad
