Its a huge and spacious gym with many equipments. They provide amazing training. Helpful people! The free classes like Zumba, Yoga etc included in membership are also extremely fun and helpful. It’s incredibly fun working out here. I am enjoying my fitness journey with LA Fitness!!!

Without the pool and hot tub, this place doesn't compare to the 24 hour gyms that have all the same equipment but unlimited access. Why bother?
Here's an idea for the pool: check out how The Athletic Club at Carnegie of Homestead schedules their swim times. It doesn't have to be ALL day. You can schedule just 1 or 2 short part-time shifts then have breaks. Carnegie has adult swim times from 9am-1pm. Then it's closed either the entire rest of the day or there is a class at 1pm and 2 days a week it has an evening block from 5pm-8pm. It makes no sense for this gym to have a pool and hot tub in an area with no other fitness center pools. Wilmerding Community Center just closed (first the pool and now entirely). You could boost your membership and have a monopoly on swimmers in this area if you brought back at least a shortened block of swim times. Anything is better than nothing. Call Carnegie and ask them how they afford it. And if you do it, please send out an email to all your current and former members. We will come back immediately. I still drive down to Greensburg because I need my daily swim. You can figure this out.

The front team is excellent so it’s not anything to do with them or the workers. However the manager CALVIN was extremely rude. Attitude. Curt. Unreasonable and not willing to listen. Great gym if you want endless phone calls during all hours of the day about their "professional" services. Even answering and explaining that you do not want to upgrade your account/have a free fitness session with a personal trainer will not stop the continuous calls. The showers have a repulsive aroma to them that will leave you feeling dirty and sweaty after a workout. Truly disgusting locker rooms and bathrooms, always out of paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. When you finally do want to cancel your account you have the opportunity to speak to horrible and rude customer service people over the phone, where they say you can only cancel in person. After some research and digging through the LA fitness website, you can in fact cancel online, they just won't communicate that with you. Truly disappointed in this LA fitness and the organization as a whole.

My previous visit on Monday has left me reconsidering my entire membership at this gym. Roman, an employee, who I believe is in a management position, was extremely rude to not only the customers but the staff as well. I overheard him screaming at the staff of the smoothie bar (mostly teenagers??) for what seemed like no reason. Additionally, he was extremely short and unwelcoming to customers. While I typically enjoy the kind and welcoming atmosphere of this location, I cannot financially contribute to a business that blatantly treats its workers in such a manner. There needs to be some serious change in this business's treatment of staff or I will be finding a new gym.

I usually don’t write reviews, but my experience with Roman, the manager at LA Fitness, was so appalling I felt compelled to say something.

Roman is, without a doubt, one of the rudest and most disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered in a customer service role. From the moment I tried to address a simple issue with my membership, he was dismissive, condescending, and had a completely unprofessional attitude. He cut me off multiple times, rolled his eyes when I tried to explain my concerns, and acted like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying member.

When I asked for clarification on a billing error, he talked down to me like I was stupid and gave vague, unhelpful answers. He showed zero empathy and had no interest in resolving the problem — just brushed it off like it was beneath him. Honestly, it felt like he was more interested in arguing than actually helping.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from a manager. LA Fitness needs to seriously reconsider who they put in charge of dealing with customers. I’ve been a loyal member for years, but after dealing with Roman, I’m seriously reconsidering if this gym is worth the frustration.

Avoid this location if you value respectful service. You deserve better than to be treated like an annoyance by someone who clearly doesn’t care about their job or the people walking through the door.

I was in town for a work trip, and wanted to try LA fitness out for the first time (unfortunately they don’t exist where I live). Zack reached out to me after I applied for a 3 day pass, and I explained to him it wouldn’t make sense for me to get a membership. Rather than turn me away, he was still incredibly friendly and allowed me the access to the gym. The gym itself was very clean and the equipment was awesome.

Can’t seem to open on time on the weekends.

2/16/22 Continues to disappoint! Facility is in constant disarray and mostly filthy and unattended. Locker room (mens) is filthy and has not been maintained in years. Staff could care less and find it hard to even greet members upon entry.

Still have often mornings where opening on time seems to be a challenge. This place misses the mark on so many levels.

2/2/25 Update: Improved with opening on time and even early on the weekends…thank you for that however, locker room and restroom area are still a complete filthy disaster. There is rarely paper towels available and the trash cans are always overflowing. You need to be up to date on your hepatitis shots if you choose to use this place.

I like the location and the atmosphere when working out. @ times I shower after working out because I have to work. The shower, locker, and toilet area smells and is filthy. La fitness swimming pool is closed. There is no date of when reopening the pool if they're going to reopen it. Anytime soon talk to the customer service at the desk. Said it needs inspected. That could be a number of things from a leak in the pole to chemicals. Lincoln, I mean I'm sure there's a list of things that could go wrong with a swimming pool. Even the hot tub is closed. I sent a family member a guess pass and they were asked for ID. Never has this happened at any other LA Fitness gym. I send family members guest passes all the time. Some even sign up. Then they were told that they had to go to Greensburg because that’s my home gym. I have a Multi-State membership, I can go to LA Fitness in Florida if I want. Guest should be able to use the selected gym location on the pass, as you are in fact able to select the gym the guest chooses. Just ridiculous! Luckily there are much better locations, with way better staff.

When I started here this location had a lot of promise. After being a paying member for years, it was upsetting to find out they permanently closed the swimming pool due to "lack of interest" meanwhile every other week the pool was closed for a maintenance issue or water aerobics was canceled because they didn't have enough instructors. The evening classes for working folks were limited from the get go, but being that was the only reason I joined this gym I felt slighted when we were not informed of the permanent closure.

The only LA fitness with water aerobics in this area is Greensburg and I can't work and make it to their only evening class on Mondays nights.

You’d be better off at any other gym in the area. Outside of the nasty showers, stinky sauna, and roid ragers, we held a membership here for nearly two years. It did the job. When we went in to cancel our membership, Jermaine told us the “system was down” but it was no big deal because we could just call the manager the next day. So we do, and the manager, after cutting me off 3 times, says that the membership can ONLY be cancelled in person, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm… so if you have a job, good luck cancelling!! Not sure where to go from here but would absolutely love if corporate wanted to reach out to me! :)

My wife and I are really unhappy that we have to leave LA Fitness. We were just informed that the pool and jacuzzi are being closed. The Jacuzzi was inoperable for several months with promises of it being repaired. My wife and I have developed great friendships with others who use the pool and jacuzzi but cannot justify having a membership to this club without these services. Now, there is nothing that distinguishes LA Fitness from Planet Fitness or many other month to month gyms. We will be transferring our membership to a club that has a sauna, pool and jazuzzi.

3 stars just because the Group Classes Trainers are awesome!
Otherwise it would be 1 star.
I joined LA Fitness about 2 months ago because of the pool. Then the pool was closed for couple weeks for the maintenance. When I came for an Aqua Fit after that, the water was freezing, I left.
The management is trying to sign you up with the personal trainers for additional fee. But they dont talk to you straight ahead about it. They called me first and said I was missing on some "other great features" that my membership offers - nutrition plan. I thought it was fantastic and agreed to meet with (like I thought) a nutritionist.
Instead, I met a manager who was trying to sign me up for personal training program. Later I had a personal trainer who tried to sign me up as well. Now I feel uncomfartable an guilty to come there. I feel like I waisted their times and like it was my fault. I did try to visit other LAFit locations but they are too far away, so I keep coming to Monroeville but really I am not happy to be there. I will be cancelling my membership soon. I just dont know what other club I could join. The idea of the club is great, it is just a poor management.
Also the club is pretty dirty, dirty showers with empty soap dispensers, dirty mirrors and floors in the class room. Once I splitted water on the floor and it took me 25 minutes to get a help. A guy at the office desk was browsing his phone and sent me to the front desk with all my concerns. The front desk guy was busy on the phone trying to recruite the next victim to sign up for the club. I thought I could go straight to the manager, but he looked at me and turned around right away because he had more important stuff to do.
In 2 months of my membership I have experience a lot of ignorance, pressure and inconveniece. Should I quit just because of it's employees .

I joined LA Fitness a month ago for their pool. Five stars for the pool itself, as it is toasty warm and hasn't been down for unplanned maintenance.

Minus 2 stars: the men's locker room is spectacularly under-tended. This morning, for example: not a drop of soap in any shower; grimy shower walls; three backed up toilets, piles of trash paper towels scattered in corners; about 10% of wood locker door panels are busted out and missing. This was not an unusual morning.

Finally, getting to be a member of this club was rocky. I tried their online "schedule a tour" automated function: signed up, confirmed a time, showed up at the location: "oh, manager X is not here, let me have him call you and schedule." No call. I phoned back and made an appt with a human: showed up at the appointed time: "oh, manager X is at this other store." So much for a tour. I went ahead and signed up with a different person. "You get a free session with a fitness trainer!" Great. Scheduled a date and time: showed up, "Oh, trainer Y isn't here today, do you want to reschedule?". Nope. So I swim and go, and will look around for another site with a pool and more attentive management.

One of the best fitness center in the entire USA. This place is fully equipped with all fitness machines, including a swimming pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, basketball court, Zumba and Yoga arena, cycling classes, Racquetball court etc.
Also a cafe is available inside this fitness centre, if you want to have some healthy snacks and drinks, all in one place.
Coming here for than a year now and it is really worth it.

Posting this review as I sit in the parking lot waiting over 20 minutes for an employee to open up the gym. This is the 3rd time this month they have been significantly late opening up. Hire better employees!
