Respectfully, save your $30 a month and go somewhere else. Extremely over priced memberships for a terrible gym. It’s always dirty, especially the women’s locker room/bathroom. The equipment is always broken, it’s dusty, the machines are squeaky, etc. You have people that walk around, regular people that act like they work there, behind the desk with the employees and in the employee only sections which is very odd to me. The workers themselves barely work, you see someone walking around cleaning every once in a blue moon. They exercise more than they work. So yeah, definitely not worth the money at all. Place sucks👎🏼

This location is terrible. Not clean. Especially on weekends doesn’t even open on time. Front desk people sleeping up front. Did I mention dirty? Restrooms are disgusting, smells terribly. There used to be a cleaning person walking with a vacuum, cleaning the whole gym including restrooms. Haven’t seen a cleaning person in years at this. Mice droppings on mats. Weights not cleaned up from night before. Where is management? Are they blind???? No wonder La Fitness needed esporta to save them.

Update: had to drop from 2 to 1 star. This place is terrible. The sauna is still broken. Seems it's been broken for a year now and management refuses to fix it. When I asked about it, I was told that "people like to complain for no reason". It's mind-boggling that the sauna has been down for so long.

Giving a 2 star review due to the sauna. It was down for almost 2 months, than replaced with a new unit that is barely hotter than room temperature. I'm forced to go to Warrington, Kop, or collegeville. I'll be canceling my membership if the sauna is not fixed. The positive...the staff is very nice and polite. Overall the gym is pretty clean.

Equipment is constantly broken, takes forever to be repaired, men’s sauna was not working for months, the pool over the roof was falling in on itself, contemplated canceling my membership due to these problems. Management is constantly changing, so it was never transparent of when these problems will be fixed. Montgomery is the worst LA Fitness location in the area. Everything, including the pool, sauna, water heater, and equipment, is always broken or inoperable. Lockers and showers are always dirty, and soap mixed with water. Incompetent personnel spend all day on personal phones and do nothing to address the issues.
Lastly, the company rotates personnel at this location every five months.

Ryan Green hooked it up with a week-long guest pass for me. I’m a former employee and former member, only leaving due to joining the army a long time ago. Almost every time that I come here SAUNA IS NOT HOT! I’m really tired of your bad maintenance of it. Or your staff saying there is no female right now, or they cannot fix the temperature for 40 minutes… People don’t have so much time in their life! So I spend 2 hours and come here - I want to get all services that I pay for! Is it so hard to check what is happening in sauna every 30 minutes to provide excellent service?! Do better, La fitness! As for now - I switch the location, it is not convenient for me, but I have no choice, every time I feel frustrated when I come - and your staff says the same again, and again, and again. This location needs a massive upgrade. Where is management spending the money from all the memberships? Certainly seems busy enough to at least afford a few changes. Nearly half the lockers in the men’s locker room are destroyed or unusable.

Machines seem to be frequently out of service. For example, they finally “fixed” the hack squat but didn’t even care enough to grease the tracks on the machine. They put in a “new”, clearly hand me down, lying hamstring curl that has rips in the padding. Whoever is managing this location should be ashamed. Any person with a modicum of respect for working out and customer service wouldn’t let their gym get to this state.

The Glenside and KoP location all have updated life fitness machines and their facilities are clean. Would highly recommend making the extra drive to have a more suitable workout.

I have been coming here for several years now and I feel each year is worse than the last. The place consistently feels dirty and grimy. Aside from a select few; the majority of the staff cares more about themselves, hanging out with their friends, and/or being on/posting on social media than taking care of the establishment and the members. Even more recently, the night staff has been in rude and such a rush to push members out of the building that they start a countdown. The night staff (in addition to what is already posted on the TVs) announce on the PA system every 5/10 minutes (for the last 45 minutes) that the gym will be closing And that people will need to leave. Which most of the members find annoying and redundant as they are trying to finish their workouts. I have joined other gyms in the area which are much better (and the staff more welcoming). The only reason why I still come is because it is one of the only gyms in the area with a sauna (which isn’t even the best and not always working). If you don’t need a sauna or a pool I would join a different gym all together.

I've been going to LA Fitness on and off for a little over a year now. Overall the experience has been so-so. When I started a year ago, I was using the personal training and was bounced around a bit because they have a high turnover rate for trainers, and I was working with Marvi when I first started and enjoyed working with him. He was still in his training at that time so I was switched to another trainer for a while and when that trainer left, I stopped going for a while due to a few other things as well. I have since been going back and training with Marvi and am starting to make some progress. He's treating me well and helping to keep me motivated.

More than 75% of the lockers are broken. Some have missing doors, missing handles and or latches. Most have been broken into and show signs of damage. Gym equipment is in better shape but for the price charged you should be able to have a safe spot to leave your clothes and bag while you work out.

Been a member for a year. My takeaways are mostly ok. Biggest problem is they don’t fix equipment. Arrived last March to 3 stair steppers with one out of service. Three months later finally fixed. Same one down currently.
Flat bench only three (3). One went down before Christmas and is still missing. First of all only 3 is not enough for a gym this size. Secondly how hard is it to replace a flat bench? Constantly people waiting for 2 benches. Could be a much better location if anyone cared to fix the equipment.

What are their jobs, actually? Is it to sit at the front desk and shriek/scream extremely loudly all night? I understand that teenagers need jobs but could they at least hire some who took pride in their jobs or have an ounce of professionalism? How does it even make business sense to hire 4 surplus staff who sit around and do literally nothing productive? Maybe they are volunteers?

I've been coming to this location for a while now and its always the same. The whole place just feels grimy (and that isn't unique to just this location sadly). Men's locker room is filthy, with mold all over the ceilings and curtains (once in a while they'll paint over the mold which is good for a month or two. Why is the ventilation so poor?). I come here at various times and never see anyone actively cleaning, but plenty of people just chit chatting around the front desk. Is there no management here? Unless you really need the extra weight equipment or the pool, you might as well save some $$ and go to Planet Fitness instead (which I also belong to). Always near spotless no matter what location I go to.

The gym is scamming members in the form of personal training. They lied to my wife and I about the facilities and despite us clearly telling the person who signed us up that we don’t want a long contract and only looking for 8 swimming sessions overall for my pregnant wife and I which they agreed upon and made us sign few documents stating that they are just liability waivers. We later got to know that they fraudulently made us sign a year long contract with 8 sessions per month and now refusing to cancel. This is harassment and leading to unnecessary stress to my pregnant wife. BEWARE of this place!

Since I live in Perkasie and due to work schedules I go in between 3:30pm and 5pm and by that time there’s no paper towels in the bathrooms, the thrash cans have no liners in them and the restrooms are beyond filthy, I’ve never seen anyone clean them the entire time I’ve been there during those times. The equipments are out dated and old. There’s broken equipments everywhere and a bunch of kids that run this place in the evenings seem to be busy on their phones. The management doesn’t seem to care about this place. There’s 15 minute time limit on each machine but no one seems to enforce it at all. I am so ready to switch my gym membership but just giving this place some more time to improve. I absolutely love the LA fitness in Warrington and is nothing compared to the horrific state of the LA fitness in north wales. I wouldn’t recommend this North wales LA fitness facility to anyone. I hope corporate sees this review and tries to intervene soon.

I came from out of town and signed up for a day pass. Ryan made me feel like I was right at home and made the process to getting a day pass so seamless, fast, and fun I couldn’t believe it was his first time taking someone through the form. Thanks Ryan you are the best!!!!

Update: about a year ago they rearranged the equipment layout, replaced the squat cages and added some new bodyweight exercise stuff as well as CrossFit-like equipment like tires and drags. The restricted access areas are gone. Not too many broken machines. A solid B+, maybe A-.
