Usually dirty with machines broken. They spend money on stupid giant TV's but won't clean up the blood stains on the walls of the ladies' restroom. There are stalls with hangers missing and the pool is just sitting stagnant with water still in it. No price change, just suddenly no more pool. Constantly packed in the weight area. And they are trying to sell you "fitness sessions" all the time. I don't want an overpriced sales pitch while I'm working out.

Overall, a good mix of free weights and dumbbells, although I would like more than two squat racks, it seems there's always someone using one of them for arm curls or standing presses. Plentiful machines of all varieties. There is a lack of caring it seems, mirrors are filthy and stuff stays broken for months.

Pool is closed due to lack of staffing, equipment is regularly beat up and the club is always in bad condition. Every time I stop in at this location i regret it and can’t believe how poorly it’s maintained compared to other locations around Pittsburgh. This just happens to be the closest location to home. I guess I’ll drive another 15 minutes out to the Bridgeville location.

Im not going to lie I love this gym but there is pilate classes everyday and it mostly never ends until 8. They do anything but workout I wish it was possible to use the boxing bag on one side and pilate classes on the other but I know its not possible. This gym is so gross. I tried to enter four stalls in the ladies room and they were absolutely filthy with... I don't wanna mention it... use your imagination! We go to the gym to get healthy but this place is a health HAZARD! I think I'm going to file a complaint with the health department. It's that bad. The air conditioning was broken today, when the temperature was 93 outside. Air conditioning is required on a day like today and if the gym can't provide it, it needs to close down. I saw some older gentlemen who looked like they were about to pass out. The most unbearable heat due to broken air conditioning was in the ladies room, and I've already mentioned how disgusting that was. Add what felt like 110° heat to the stink and the dirtiness. From the presence of all the cheap fans they have hung on the walls, I don't even think they have air conditioning in the weight room. I can't believe I paid over $200 initiation fee for such a ripoff. Nobody cleans and nobody cares. I can't imagine even ONE person pooping all over the place in a Ladies' Room toilet stall. Here there were FOUR "LADIES" who did that! Did they overdose on steroids... or Ex-Lax?! (Or maybe just one person goes in there everyday and poops up the place... nobody ever checks or cleans anything so who knows how long it's been there. That poop may be fossilized by now.) On the positive side, you're guaranteed to lose weight by going here. Just thinking of that Ladies Room will ruin your appetite. And you can defrinitely get in a good ab workout... by throwing up!

The pool has been unavailable for 6 months, both here and at the other Pittsburgh locations. This is the feature that I signed up for so as to triathlon train; otherwise, Planet Fitness, 3 miles closer and $20/month cheaper is a better deal for me. When I explained this to the LA Fitness Manager, he said that my monthly dues only grant me access to the building with expectations for any particular fitness equipment or activities, even those advertised on their websites. He said, "Well, the pool is open as of today at Bridgeville, but they have no plans to open the others." No, "I'm really sorry about that." Or,"We've let you down." And no refunds are offered! No empathy or caring. Really just a "Well, it will be good to cancel your membership so that I'll have fewer customers to manage. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Overall a very good gym with a large variety of different machines and equipment for most needs. I like how spacious the gym is in terms of having multiple floors and other features such as the basketball court. Gym lacks a whole lot. Outdated and frequently broken machines, poor cleanliness, and a whole lot more. The only thing that keeps myself and a lot of people I know going here is the basketball court. Except now, because of the behavior of a couple people, they lock the court, refusing paying members the right to use it. I play here 4+ days a week, and the amount of "problems" are very few and far between. But instead of banning the people who cause the problems, every paying member that wants to use the court is now prevented from doing so.

I’ve been using this gym for a while, but I’m really disappointed with the condition of the women’s restroom. It’s consistently dirty and honestly, pretty disgusting. The showers rarely work properly—there’s poor water pressure and often no hot water, which makes it hard to use the facilities after a workout. One of my friends has already canceled her membership because of this, and I’m seriously considering doing the same. It’s frustrating to pay for a membership when basic hygiene and functionality are being neglected. I really hope management steps up and addresses these issues soon.

The woman from the kids club didn't let my daughter play because according to her she wasn't wearing socks , she was in very bad shape, acting as if she were the owner of the gym, disrespectful. The men’s sauna is broken frequently, they do maintenance on it, and now the hottest it gets is ~150F. Have to sit in it for 20+ minutes to get sweaty.

Only thing holding it back from five stars is the fact that the safety bars are not adjustable on the squat rack, requiring you to take several back to leave the squat rack so you can reach full depth (I'm only 5'8", for reference, and the squat rack safety bars are about 2-3 inches too high for me).

Nice gym, but the pool has been closed for a long time for renovation and once that was completed it has been closed for a month now due to them having to replace a pump which is warrantied overseas and there is no end in sight for the waiting. I joined the gym because of the fact that they have a pool and jacuzzi… but it has been a disappointing experience on that front hence 4 stars. Hope they resolve it soon!

The most common body part worked out at this gym is the mouth. At most 10% of them are there for fitness, I don't know why the others are there. God bless headphones. This is not the kind of gym where you see groups of people pushing each other to do better. This place ranges from grandpa with a cane to high school kids.

The layout of this gym is cardio on the first floor, weights/basketball on the 2nd floor. There are 3 flat bench presses and 2 squat racks and plenty of machines to relax on and sight-see. The gym would be better if it had double the number of benches and fewer machines. I see the bench used for hip thrusts almost as often as I see it used for benching. There needs to be more space between equipment in the weight area and wider lanes to navigate. The only additions or new equipment I've seen are lysol wipes replacing the paper towels and the wall mounted fans.

It is an OK gym overall, but i have never seen so many loiterers.

I usually dont leave reviews, but this is worth it. Clean environment, lots of equipment to choose from, great staff, especially Marla at the front desk, was super helpful, I was super nervous coming in because I haven't been in a gym for awhile and she made me feel so welcome.

This LA fitness is wonderful! I really enjoy coming there to work out. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The receptionist Marla is so Pleasant. She has wonderful customer service. I recommend anyone to come and work out!

Mark is the best!! I’m from out of town and he helped me with day passes and learning about the gym! So many equipment choices and not a super busy gym so I could get my first choice of equipment throughout my workout. I highly recommend checking this gym out!

Was getting billed for service fees annual maintenance fees etc almost a year after I cancelled my membership.

Called in for a refund and they said they couldn’t help. Had to dispute charges with my credit card company.

LA Fitness Robinson and their staff are excellent. Exactly what I look for in a gym, tons of variety in exercise equipment, cardio machines and different spaces to do a work in. It’s clean, well maintained and consistently what i want. Even a bonus, the sauna is hot and spacious. 10/10 recommend. Ask for Mark when you go and he’ll make you feel right at home.

LA Fitness...where to start. This gym has lots of equipment and lots of people come here which is always nice to see. All of the trainers and employees seem nice at the outset but I'd say that's where the positives end.

This chain has really scummy business tactics. Read the contract extremely carefully. Do not take the manager's word for anything. He can't be trusted to give you the real information. He just wants the sale and doesn't care about you or your success.

Oh boy, the personal training is a joke, as well. They talk it up like it's the best possible way to get in shape. They promise you the world and deliver almost nothing. Outdated workout techniques and no accountability. If you ask for help when you aren't there (diet assistance, workouts for sessions outside of training), they will promise that they'll give you things but will just keep "forgetting."

Don't fall for the lies and excuses. Go anywhere else.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I popped in to town for a a quick trip and they were able to accommodate me and keep my workout routine going.
