I do not recommend leaving your child/ children alone in this environment. Staff is unprepared teenagers who are very inappropriate in their approach to the kids. This in response to my experiences with underage staff handling conflict between children by choosing children in the group to bully rather than having a followed protocol of calling parents or other policy. I walked into a chaotic scene and would not leave a child, especially a small child here.

One of my initial concerns prior to seeing the above is that everything is really run down. It makes me think of how much of a red flag the run down equipment was. These kids running things are not qualified to manage an emergency, and the equipment appears to be in need of repair. What could this lead to? Something is going to happen and staff will be inept to respond due to them being kids/ teenagers. Maybe they are hoping for desperate parents.

I hope this message is helpful to other parents. None of us need injury or trauma for our kids.

We really wanted to like this place. We heard great things but unfortunately our experience wasn't good. We had our son in the tiny tumbler program and at first he said he was having a lot of fun but after the first two weeks we noticed the kids were spending the majority of the class sitting down waiting their turn to do the activities. Today it seemed they were all having a lot of trouble sitting still and waiting and we noticed it seemed like some of the kids werent getting to take their turns. As soon as we got in the car our son told us the teacher wasn't letting them have their turns because they weren't sitting on their circles. I truly do understand the kids need to listen to the rules and pay attention but it has to be hard to be 3-4 years old and told to sit still constantly and making them skip their turns only makes it worse. My son also had to use the bathroom today and when my husband knocked on the door for him to go back into the gym several times he was not let back in until he talked to another employee. The whole thing just seems odd so we decided to drop the class. I will say that from what we saw the older kids doing in the main gym the other classes look great!

My oldest daughter has been with Lakettes for 2.5 years now while my youngest just started this year. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about the coaches. My sister was a member of Lakettes growing up and I wanted my girls to have that same experience she did. Would recommend to anyone!

I enrolled just over a year ago and I can well enough say it’s the most healthy positive gym in the area to pursue the sport. The coaching staff is a perfect fit for young girls with goals. The atmosphere keeps the love for the sport going. Will forever love this place

Awful experience! I enrolled three of our children in the fall, hoping to give them a healthy experience. The place is FILTHY! They were invited to play hide-and-seek and came out with rat droppings in their hair. It smells strongly of MOLD every time we walk in. One of our children started getting mysterious rashes. We found out he contracted molluscum and MRSA from the gym mats. We know he got it in this facility because it is the only place they have gone this year, and they didn’t do anything during COVID. We’ve battled this MRSA infection for months, and ended up having to drive to a specialist in Pittsburgh. Who knows when it may reappear?! This place will haunt us for years. We stopped attending in May. It was the last month anyway. Then, they charged our credit card for another FULL MONTH on June 2, and explained that we would have had to tell them we weren’t attending their end of year performance before June 1 in order to avoid having to pay that fee. Very sneaky. All about the $$$$. I’ve tried calling and messaging for the better part of a week but they ignore me. They refuse to give the name and number of the owner. They do not return phone calls unless you are signing up. BEWARE

After spending the entire summer watching their program "summer camp" I can say that the fun for all skill levels is not what they mean. My daughter expressed wanting to try gymnastics for the first time. Since the first class she has struggled. (Lanky and new to it I understand). The coaches even after bring informed she has a slight learning delay couldnt help but show their annoyance and impatience with her every moment they had to spend with her. Sighing, rolling their eyes, almost berating her. I didn't expect or want her to become a world class gymnast. But for the price I expected her to have fun. My child has a never quit attitude but even the mention of going to her gymnastics makes her cry and beg to stay home. And its not like she was in one of the bigger classes. I wouldnt recommend for new or slightly different children.

Coach Aria is a true Gem. Her interaction with the kids is amazing, my daughter is usually incredibly shy but Coach Aria was able to get through that and made her blossom.

The place is filthy. It is extremely expensive and they are always asking you to do fundraisers for equipment (which I never saw any new equipment). You can never get a hold of anyone when you call. As a parent/guardian it's difficult to find out anything, because there's rarely a person (secretary/owner) available to ask questions to. You're lucky if you get a chance to talk to a coach. My child LOVES gymnastics, but I will be looking for another place to go this year. : (

Really one of the only places to do gymnastics around town - all depends on the coach your child gets, some of them are amazing and others really aren't that great. That being said my daughter loves kids night out and its a pretty good deal to let her get her energy out on a Friday night in a safe environment. The fairview location has a cool american gladiators style setup.

My daughter and her friend had an incident at kids night out. I called to talk to someone in charge regarding the incident and she wouldn't let me talk, kept cutting me off and kept implying that my daughter & her friend were liars. One of them was seriously injured at the event and not one single adult noticed. The woman I spoke with told me she was the head coach and hung up on me when I asked for the phone number of the owner. I am completely repulsed by the treatment we have received at Lakettes. I will never give them another penny of my money and encourage everyone to look elsewhere for gymnastics instruction. I have constantly encountered rude employees here and the instructors seem more interested in socializing than supervising.

About the only place around to take gymnastics.. pretty pricey, and could have better upkeep. Meaning, it's not as clean as it could be. or organized.

I am a team member there and I just have to say to the negative comment that that is the Kids Night Out "coaches". The REAL coaches are amazing, understandimg, kind, and pay attention to the children they are coaching. If you want good gymnastics go to Lakettes. You'd be nuts not to. I highly recommend it.

I LOVE Lakettes! I have had the pleasure of bringing both children to Lakettes 2x a week for almost 1 year. I have my daughter enrolled in weekly lessons, and bring both my son and daughter to kindergym 2x a week. The coaches are fantastic, personable, responsible, safety conscious, and sweet to me as well as my children. My daughter enjoys her lessons, loves her coach, and has developed a huge skill set in just a years time! I highly recommend Lakettes to those interested in "free play" / kindergym / open gym, or plan to register for lessons.
