Their guest policy is bad. You can bring a guest but that guest can't return for 60 days. How do you know if you want to belong with 1 day there. And their daytime pass rate is $60. I have never seen such a ridiculously high day rate for a regular gym. Some classes looked interesting but are early morning or evening. That's too bad for middle of the day exercise enthusiasts. I was quoted 2 week trial memberships for under $60! I signed up at one of those. There are WAY too many exercise studios for Lifetime to treat (non!) potential members this way

I was excited to be able to join a gym near my residence because I am a remote worker. A few family members and friends WARNED me about joining LT Ardmore. My family lived in Lower Merion since the early 2000's and my parents joined Lifetime as soon as it was opened. Unfortunately, my parents cancelled the family plan due to numerous reasons especially because of Management. My friends warned me about LT Ardmore because of a specific trainer who doesn't respect lifetime member's boundaries. A friend of mine that joined the same time as I did, told me that they had to start going to LT Mt. Laurel to avoid this specific trainer. I found that to be very inconvenient, esp when members are paying upwards of $200+ for their membership or $400+ for a family plan- just to feel uncomfortable that they feel the need to go to a different Lifetime Club. I will explain in more detail down below.
A few complaints: (small fitness gym floor, lack of supplies like bacterial wipes (always empty), members would come in SICK (spreading germs in the Steam Room. It's VERY disgusting),
on the fitness floor, equipment like plates and dumbbells smells like dirty sweat, management is nonchalant, rude and unprofessional.
I did my part with speaking to multiple staff members and Managers, but nothing is getting better. Actually feels like harassment at this point. I come to the gym to detox from stress, but this gym is annoying and causing me more stress. It was great for the first week when I joined. A week later, a trainer name Rob Laurie would constantly try to have conversations in the middle of a workout. Does he know that when people have EARPHONES in, working out.. that they don't want to be bother? Or understand that people get away from home so they can have self care time? I totally get the innocent conversations but it got to the point where he just talks way too much. I have friends that tell me that the same trainer would frequently approach them while working out, on stair master, or treadmill. A random girl next to me told me she's also experiencing the same thing. She told me that she doesn't want to be mean but it got really uncomfortable for her. I reported this trainer a few months ago. I was told by a manager that they would have a talk with him. I doubt they even talked to him because apparently, he is known to be that harassing annoying trainer because countless of people are experiencing the same thing.
Another issue arose apart from that- I always carry a small backpack to keep gym equipments. (Lifetime does have gym equipment for you to use, but they are cheap, stinks like sweat, and very dirty). I've been carrying this backpack from my other 2 gyms, and carried the same backpack since the FIRST day I joined. I keep my larger bag in the locker room. After a year, now Rob decides to walk up to me while I'm working out, points to my backpack and said you have to keep large backpacks in the locker. I went to speak to a manager name Keenan (very nice) and I was told by him that I could carry a small backpack. The next day, Rob approached me AGAIN telling me "oh it needs to be 12x14. After Rob told me that, I saw Keenan the manager so I ran to approach him about this matter and told Keenan to tell Rob to leave me alone. The next few days, I spoke to another lady (probably another manager), I didn't get her name but she was rude about it. She said "yeah it gotta be a size of a fanny pack so you can't carry your backpack" WRONGGGG!!! The policy online as of January 1st, 2025 states that a bag 12x16 or smaller can be carried on the fitness floor. My Lululemon backpack is 11x16. The management seems to not understand their company policies fully. I felt as though I was getting attacked left and right by employees that don't even have their facts straight. WHY CAN'T I WORKOUT IN PEACE!!!!???? Can you imagine trying to workout but you're constantly just getting harassed?? I will be telling my family and friends, and spread word to the community to not join Lifetime Ardmore and give their money elsewhere.

they keep disappearing my favorite instructors!!
whenever i decide i love someone's class (those classes get really popular/have waitlists, so it's not just me), that person is let go. Amy vanished from yoga months ago, Kevin hasn't been at spin in weeks, ... i'm afraid to enjoy a specific instructor's class because they keep being snatched away. these are people who seem to love their jobs and have been there for years. they didn't give their classes any warning that they were leaving, so it has to be a corporate thing.
also, i LOVE spin, but they recently renovated the spin room for GTX, and the new spin room is terribly small -- way too overcrowded with the spin bikes (it's giving fire hazard, truthfully), overheats very quickly, ... also, one of my favorite spin instructors hasn't been on the schedule lately ... i think they got to him :(
3 stars only because everything else is great, and i largely enjoy my experience with life time, but i live for the classes and i'm sad that instructors are removed without notice and that spin was demoted.

Overall it's a good gym... I love the Spin Classes and the instructors Art, Joe & Kevin Michael. But they moved spin to a smaller room and it's much hotter but I'm alright with that... But now they put a restriction on the volume of the music. Now I can hear people breathing next to me. They really need to do something about the volume.. it's way too low and not enjoyable. Hopefully they change that cause Spin class is one of my major reasons I love this gym.

I love this gym. Well worth the money! Spa like environment and has so many options. Cafe, Jacuzzi, Classes, Coworking Space (extra fee). Only downside is the parking situation. Staff is so professional and friendly. Classes are better than anywhere I’ve been!

I normally say, you get what you pay for….but definitely not the case here. I tried to rationalize the $200 per month membership fee for the past year but couldn’t find the value. The classes aren’t challenging (instructors are super nice tho) but just not an overall good workout. Nice environment though. The gym space is pretty small. no pool, sauna is always crowded and people are always talking…not a relaxing vibe.

Truly ridiculous. And if this is how they run their gym, you never have to worry about seeing me again… only my lawyer.
Background: I was a member for years when they first opened. I started my membership at the King of Prussia location. Years later my membership allowed me to also use the Ardmore location. I stopped my membership this past December when my elderly mother was diagnosed with cancer. My schedule and the new price increase just didn’t make sense.
Today, I was hanging outside at the Ardmore location on the green turf. I went inside Lifetime to get my favorite dish (chicken quesadilla) to enjoy outside. That was at 3:00pm when I ordered. My mother who can barely take more than several steps at a time and now has a trach collar in her neck was assisted by my 10 year old daughter to use the bathroom since my mother can’t walk on her own very well. They have a unisex bathroom on the main floor in the back. The two men working at the front desk proceeds to tell my daughter and mother that they don’t have a bathroom and to go across the street. My daughter who has also had a membership prior to this visit knew otherwise and proceeded to tell them her grandmom can’t talk and is handicap and need to use the bathroom as she pointed towards the restroom on the main floor.
When I went in to talk to the men… one responded “I didn’t want to get fired”. In which I said, “you shouldn’t get fired for letting a handicap elderly with a trach in her neck use the restroom”.
This whole situation is disheartening. And if this how you treat elderly or handicap, then it’s DISGUSTING!
I will never eat here again! And I will tell anyone willing to listen why this is a disgusting establishment!

I spent three years at lifetime in Ardmore, while I have a small list of poor things to say about the location itself I’d like to shed light on their corporate side.
For starters, the value of the membership at lifetime in Ardmore pales in comparison to the facilities in king of Prussia. Further, most of the time in Ardmore with a smaller gym, you’re unable to utilize the machines to the extent you would like.
Sadly I’ve had to pause my membership due to reasons out of my control. Lifetime was not accommodating to my circumstances in anyway, their corporate membership services is by far the most rude and disrespectful group of people I have come across.
They show a lack of empathy and respect that I believe any longtime customer should receive, not even talking from a human to human level.
It burdens me now to know that I have given this company so much money over the years to simply be treated as a number on their board.
I’d avoid lifetime membership at any cost, there is a brand new equinox opening and their cost of membership now no longer makes sense.

First of all this luxury gym fitness is located in one of my favorite suburban in Ardmore. It's conveniently located to all my favorite stores, despite outrageous membership fee, at this point it is just to say if they keep the way they maintain this place the fees calls for it. The staff and the environment is bright and vibrant and fun. It's almost like a little bubble of a sanctuary place. I almost wish they do have an outdoor pool for summer time but then again it keeps it all less busy and chaotic. My only side complaint is some of the classes that I really love is not available with my schedule. Then weekends it's half day. Also my son loves kids academy. He ask for it everyday. He likes it more than school, the staff there are super friendly and accommodating. One staff in the bathroom found my son necklace and looked for me to return to me,I wouldn't even know till she gave it to me. Hopefully this place keep up to it's standards, staff that values the company's goals and standards. My family and I love this place. Shout-out to Shaheen and Chelsea giving me time to introduce me to barbell and more fitness awareness.

I like this club location better than the one in KOP but if you’re looking for a place that has a reliable (Womens) sauna lifetime isn’t the place for you. It’s frequently “down” where it may only get 110-120 degrees. There must be some sort of chronic issue with it. I’ve had memberships at less expensive clubs and haven’t experienced the sauna not working as frequently as lifetime ardmore and kop.

As a person who never worked out I was nervous and worried I wouldn't know how or what to do in the gym. I meet a trainer named Shaheen. He was amazing. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Deanna for a cut and color, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with the results and the overall experience. Deanna is an exceptionally talented hairstylist, and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
From the moment I walked into the salon, Deanna's warm and friendly demeanor put me at ease. She took the time to listen to my ideas and concerns, and her knowledge and expertise were immediately evident. She offered valuable suggestions and made sure I was comfortable with the plan for my hair transformation.
When it came time for the actual cut and color, Deanna's precision and attention to detail were remarkable. She executed the cut flawlessly, and I could tell she truly cared about the final result. The color she chose for me was perfect, and it complemented my skin tone beautifully. Deanna's skill in color mixing and application was truly impressive, and I left the salon feeling like a brand new person.
What sets Deanna apart is her commitment to not only creating stunning hair but also ensuring her clients have a memorable and enjoyable experience. She is an excellent communicator, making sure I was informed about every step of the process. Her friendly personality made the hours in the salon fly by, and I felt like I was catching up with an old friend.
In the end, I walked out of Deanna's salon with a fantastic haircut, gorgeous color, and a newfound sense of confidence. I have received numerous compliments on my hair since then, and I am more than happy to refer anyone seeking a talented hairstylist to Deanna. Her skill, passion, and dedication are truly exceptional. If you want a top-notch cut and color experience, look no further than Deanna. I can't wait for my next appointment with her!

Still Trying To Rationalize What You Get For The Outrageous Fees!
As they readied to open, I lived within walking distance and seriously thought about changing from a health club where I'd belonged for more than 20 years. But LifeTime offered a fraction of the equipment, expertise and space of my old place. They had no tennis courts, and no arrangements with any area indoor clubs. When I asked how they justified their stratospheric fees, the answer came that some people like the decor, amenities and the lifestyle they offered. Needless to say, I stayed with my longtime club, AFC Bala Cynwyd. They may not be the sexiest, but they are the best.

Do not use this gym. It is extremely overpriced, their staff lies about pricing and the membership, and they do not have basic gym equipment which has already been mentioned by other reviewers. I have been charged an unauthorized fee by this gym and the manager, Miklos Horvath, refuses to meet with me to clear this up, showing absolutely no customer service. Miklos refers me in a standard email to call their customer service line, who do not pick up the phone, return voicemail or emails. Yes, this gym is expensive. It is a very nice setting in which to work out. New, clean and a variety of equipment. For a professional parent with young children, it is extremely helpful. They have excellent childcare and classes for the kids that allow me to get in a workout without feeling guilty about leaving my kids at home waiting. I think the biggest objection when reading other reviews is the price for what you get. The Ardmore location is much smaller then King of Prussia. There is no pool in Ardmore. Even the kids club is half the size and my children do complain about the difference. I imagine the number of classes offered will increase over time as membership and demand increases. Ardmore only opened 2 months ago. There are some basics lacking that should be fixed. Simple stretching equipment offered in King of Prussia is not available in Ardmore yet when I drive to KOP, I see the stretching equipment in constant use. This should be added to Ardmore. The membership I have allows me to utilize all locations so we do go to KOP on weekends and use the pool. My husband works near KOP at attends mid-day yoga in that facility. I agree with others that Ardmore should not be priced higher then King of Prussia. Ardmore is more of a personal training center and basic gym in a luxurious setting where you can order a protein shake on your phone and have it ready by the time you run out the door to work. If you are a busy working parent trying to compress time, you will appreciate that your children can have fun while you exercise and then you can order them a healthy snack/meal to eat before you leave. Lifetime makes it easy to get in a workout, have your nails done, shower and eat in one facility. If you don't need this kind of convenience, then I guess you will consider it a lot to pay for a basic gym.
