It's only been a few months that my 6 year old granddaughter has been attending classes at Millcreek Karate however, I have seen so many changes in this time. Her balance, coordination, willingness to persevere and "get it right", ability to listen, focus, accept correction, a more positive attitude and better energy releasing skills are a few changes I have seen. I attribute this to the environment both Master Wokutch and Miss Aimee provide. Discipline, respect, and teamwork are expected. This results in success. My granddaughter has shown not only an improvement in physical skills and development but also an increase in self confidence, willingness to follow instruction, accept constructive criticism, and perseverance. Positive, frequent reinforcement and goal setting is a constant. Very important as well as successful for her. She definitely has pride in her successes and just last week earned her orange belt. My 4 year old went today as a “buddy”. She is legally blind and it was she first time ever doing Karate. The entire staff was amazing!! One staff member (seen in picture)went above and beyond to help my daughter out and show her what to do so she could follow along with the class.

We have been with Millcreek Karate for about 6 months now. When we started to look for places to get our kids involved we were looking for someplace that our girls would feel welcomed, have fun while learning and grow. I signed both of my boys up for classes at Millcreek Karate a few months ago. I was a bit apprehensive about whether they would have the focus for the sport, but I hoped that it would help them with finding emotional balance and taking responsibility for their actions. When I first signed them up, I was a bit shocked by the sticker price compared to other local karate locations, but it was TOTALLY worth it. They can go multiple times each week, not just once like other locations. There is an online classroom so they can practice at home (have yet to really try that out, but I've seen what's available and it's impressive). The sensei is wonderful with the kids, so patient but firm. I have seen incredible improvement in my kids' attitudes and self confidence. I am so pleased with our experience here and would highly recommend this to other parents.

Jason and Aimee have the rare ability to approach every student as an individual and to pull out that student's hidden strengths and gifts. I thought I had written a review a long time ago, but GOOGLE says I didn't... My son was a member at Millcreek Karate for 2 years while we lived in Erie. He was really sad to have to give it up when we moved. They were sad to see him go. After almost a year away we are in town for a visit. My son wanted to go there first thing to say hello. When we did his teacher Master Wokutch invited Brayden to attend classes while we were in town. My son was initially super concerned and told him "but all my gear and uniform are in storage in Texas". Mr. Wokutch told him not to worry. When we got there Mrs. Wokutch had a uniform and gear ready for him. They welcomed him as if he had never left and he was super excited to be in karate class again, even if it was just for a visit. Jason and Aimee Wokutch (and their staff) truly care about their students and it shows. They make a genuine connection and are always such a source of encouragement. One of the hardest things about moving was saying goodbye to such a great group of people.

This martial arts studio is modern, spacious and very clean. There is plenty of parking available. The instructors are top notch - very patient, kind, accommodating, courteous, knowledgeable and proficient. Besides being the best all around, they even offer the best deals when they could easily charge more if they wanted to and it’d still be well worth it! We have a long commute from the other side of Erie but the skills, knowledge and friendships he gains keep us coming back! We are extremely picky on where we send our children. We researched and visited several other martial art schools in Erie county before Millcreek Karate opened last summer and we were not impressed with others..
