This studio is way too hot. Especially the strength classes should not be heated. Someone threw up in my class once. I wish they offered non-heated classes. No one wants hot yoga year round!

Monarch Yoga is a true gem in the city. I haven’t always found it easy to find a yoga studio that feels truly welcoming and judgement-free, but that’s very much the vibe at Monarch. Every teacher I’ve taken a class with (at both locations!) has been knowledgeable and kind, and clearly passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. Easily the best yoga studio in Philly! ❤️

I booked this class to get a first experience at hot yoga. I was filled with excitement! I walked the stairs to the second floor at 4:05pm. I stood there awkwardly because the instructor was outside the door talking to someone else from the building. When she finally addresses me at 4:06pm to be exact she states “we lock the doors 5 minutes after class begins, sorry…” legit as she’s locking the door. I’m new to the yoga realm but to not be able to join a class because I arrived at 4:05 instead of 4:00 exact sounds a bit insane. It’s so unfortunate because I had bought a mat and was incredibly excited to join the class today. I am writing this at 4:10pm so this is obviously no exaggeration.

This studio is first and foremost incredibly modern, spacious, and beautiful!
I was so pleased how comfortable I felt in the studio with the natural lighting and amble personal space around me. The instructor was fabulous and I really haven’t had such a great yoga class in so long. I also enjoyed the personal touch with the stones they had in the back that you can leave on your mat if you wanted assistance in your practice.

I could not say enough good things about Monarch! The new NoLibs studio is beautiful. Parking isn’t too bad either - I can pretty much always get a spot within two, three blocks. The instructors are great and there are a variety of different classes on the schedule. I love the collabs they do with locals artists, businesses, djs, etc. There are also a bunch of $5 flows on the schedule, making yoga more accessible for everyone. The membership has great reciprocal perks to other local gyms in the area too. I’m so happy to be a part of the community Monarch has created!

beautiful space to practice yoga! 🩵
i definitely recommend arriving at least 10 min early, as you need to check in before class and may want to fill up your water, get a towel, and grab a block or two. classes start on time and doors lock 5 min after they start! 🔒
some encouragement for other beginners:
even if it’s hard the first couple times you go, keep going! ask questions, mess up a pose, and remember even the really cool people who are standing on their heads in class started where you are now :) i’m still learning but i feel so free to make mistakes here and continue growing! 🌱

Such a great location for (very) hot yoga! I’ve hopped around all over the city to various studios but nothing compares to Monarch.
One of the teachers, Nicole, her class is a good test on endurance and balance! 10/10 Recommend this yoga studio… and they are very accommodating to your needs!

This is my second time going to Monarch Yoga at this location. I booked this class through ClassPass. The studio has a late policy where they lock the doors 5 minutes after class starts. However, I arrived 1 minute late and found the door was already locked. I knocked probably 5 times and nobody came to the door. Someone walked by but ignored me. Terrible customer service and experience. The class didn’t even start yet! I heard people laughing and talking. They lost a customer and it’s terrible I will be charged a missed class fee for being one minute late.

Took my first class here this morning. One of the yogis spent most of the class inappropriately moaning. Got the impression the noise maker was actually another in-house instructor sitting in on the class. It was incredibly distracting to the practice - not sure how I contained my laughter it was that absurd. The instructor said nothing. Spoke with another yogi outside following the class who was also in agreement on the moans. Also, sitting by the speaker made it difficult to hear the instructor over the music - a bit too loud.

Y’all….. when I say this yoga studio is more like a RETREAT…. I feel like I enter the studio a freaking wrinkly green caterpillar and come out a bomb ass monarch butterfly. Like who wouldn’t want to be a freaking butterfly? THANK YOU!!!

So happy that monarch is open in NoLibs! Once you walk into the studio you are hit with serene feeling that makes you forget all of the city chaos going on outside. The classes are hot and challenging, which I love. I enjoy all the flows that are offered but my favorite has to be power flow. The studio is very clean and always smells great. Going to Monarch Yoga has become one of the highlights to my week! Highly suggest!

Monarch Yoga is hands-down my favorite yoga studio in Philadelphia! Now that they’ve opened a location closer to my home in NoLibs, I’m even more thrilled to be a regular. I’ve tried several studios in the area, but none compare to the atmosphere and quality of classes at Monarch Yoga. Their outdoor classes around the city are an absolute highlight—they offer a fresh and peaceful way to practice in beautiful settings.
The instructors and owner are not only knowledgeable but incredibly warm and welcoming, making every session feel personal and inspiring. As a college student, I truly appreciate how considerate the business is, offering fantastic deals that make yoga more accessible, including their $5 flow classes, which are an amazing value! Monarch Yoga has created a wonderful community that I’m grateful to be a part of.

This is such a welcoming and relaxing studio. The practice space is roomy with large, sunny windows and and an industrial vibe that fits the neighborhood. Power flows carry a good mix of strength and rest, and the teachers offer modifications when needed. Classes are easy to book, and they even offer $5 flows - where else in the city can you find that deal?!

Lovely space and great yoga. Have been going to Monarch’s other location for years and this location is the same great yoga/teachers but in a space with a bit more character (exposed brick, etc).

Monarch has saved my mental Health. Every class I have taken has been a release for me. The staff are wonderful! Alex is a breath of fresh air. Rasheeda is my girl. Really everyone is great. The classes are mostly for all levels and the instructors are wonderful with reminding you that the practice is yours, and to take what you need. There is no pressure to do inversions or specific poses, you go as you need. If you're in the area, please try them out, you wont be disappointed.

This studio is my favorite in the area, offering the perfect blend of city energy without the noise. You can feel the power in movement and the peace in stillness here. Their merch, made with comfort colors, is surprisingly affordable, which is a nice bonus. Having visited many neighboring studios, I was thrilled when Monarch opened up in Northern Liberties! Their Kensington location is equally wonderful, especially if you need parking.

As a long time Monarch member I am SO excited about the new Northern Liberties location. Even more opportunities to flow, see all my favorite instructors, and the space is so beautiful. The community at Monarch is unmatched. Another perk of the new studio is the location, right in the heart of Northern Liberties.
