There is a feeling I get when I've found the right yoga community, and in northwest Philly, this is my place. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and included. I started with the new student 3-week trial and then never left. Every teacher has their own unique style, planning out classes that change every week. The amount of thought and care they put into the preparation of these classes is obvious and very much appreciated. There are also always a variety of workshops available in addition to the regular class schedule. Whether you prefer morning, mid-day, or evening classes, there's something for everyone. Holly and Matt have created a beautiful, welcoming, supportive space in a time when it is truly needed. I wish that I had found them when I first moved here, but definitely better late than never!

I highly recommend Holly’s prenatal yoga class. I attended through the majority of my second and third trimesters and left class each week feeling physically and mentally refreshed. Holly is kind and thoughtful, making the class so approachable. No matter what, you’ll feel welcome and cared for. I’m looking forward to continuing attending other yoga classes here in the future. Seriously, go, enjoy.

I have been attending the prenatal yoga class since I was about 16 weeks pregnant, and plan to continue as long as I can leading up to the birth (more than 30 weeks and still enjoying class)! This class significantly reduced my pregnancy aches and pains. The prenatal yoga class is structured perfectly; instructor expertise allows Holly and her team to craft classes that are appropriate for all trimesters and levels of yoga experience. Each class is unique because the needs of the group that day are heard and integrated into the practice. I appreciate how the transitions between movements and the movements themselves are curated to support a pregnant body. The community aspect is incredibly valuable and something I haven't seen often in other practices.

Whenever I used to go to a yoga class before, I would think, “This is just stretching, let me pay attention so I can do this at home and save money.” ...and then I would never do it at home, of course. There’s something special about going to a place, and yes, paying the money, because at Move With Love, they make the space inviting, it smells good, there’s the little pretend candles in the corners, and their playlists are SO GOOD. The instructors tell you what to do and you just do your best, you know? You get sweaty, and then you get to do the lie-down thing at the end which is such a treat.

My neighbor said, “You’re going 3-4 times a week? Wow, you have so much discipline!” But that’s not it at all. It’s like if you asked me, “Do you want to go get ice cream at Zsa’s?” That’s how wholehearted my YES is. So there you have it: Move With Love = Zsa’s.

I've taken 3 or 4 classes as a guest/ on a buddy pass. Gabbi taught two of them and I love her voice, the creativity of her flow, playlist, and overall style of teaching. She gives great cues for stability and encouragement to push through the more difficult poses. The other classes were great too. Definitely recommend.

I started coming to MWL last year when my spouse purchased me a new student pass for Christmas after we moved to the area. The space and people were immediately welcoming, and those good vibes extend to everyone I've interacted with since, whether teachers or students. Since those first few classes, the studio has become a place I visit multiple times a week and the classes I attend are often the best part of my day. The variety of class offerings means there is always one for the week or day or mood I'm having, and I don't think I've ever left not feeling lighter and happier than when I arrived. I'm so glad to have joined this community and highly recommend MWL to anyone seeking a welcoming and relaxed space to practice yoga.

i’ve been practicing at MWL for a year and more consistently this last quarter. the studio and staff are fantastically warm and welcoming. i appreciate how the flow changes to incorporate seasonality, and i leave feeling more at home in my body and quiet in my mind. it’s somehow both gentle and invigorating, and i’ve gotten so much stronger. i love each instructor and their unique approaches. they bring varied backgrounds in dance or somatics or mental health that deepen the instruction/care.

the flow classes are more athletic than i was first used to, but they’re very clear that folks should move at their own pace and listen to their bodies. also there are more verbal instructions and less pose modeling than i was used to, which can feel a little awkward as you get the hang of things, but there are no mirrors and literally no one cares if you’re “off” or slow or doing your own thing. the biggest emphasis is never perfect form but rather moving with your own breath. it’s one of the loveliest “third places” in the northwest. a true mt. airy gem.

I feel so grateful to have MWL walking distance from my home. Having tried out many yoga studios in the last 20 years this one is by far the most welcoming with zero snootiness. Holly has created a warm, beautiful environment to practice yoga in and is truly enriching our community with her yoga classes, Pilates classes, dance parties, art openings, sound baths and other sweet events! It is the first studio where I have really felt that I belonged and have continued to go back to over the months and years & during pregnancies and pandemics even when I am having the occasional lull in my practice I always feel joyful and relieved when I drop back in. I really appreciate the variety of teachers and their commitment to meeting each yogi where they are at in their bodies. Thank you thank you thank you to Holly and the crew at MWL.

Holly is the most welcoming and warm yoga instructor! She is the embodiment of her mantra: Move with Love. Move with Love remains my favorite find from the depths of the pandemic. Whether I'm taking a class with her in her gorgeous studio in Philly, virtually, or on the steps of the Brooklyn Museum, I know that I'm in for a treat. Classes are grounded in reality, listening to your body, and filled with joy - it's a dynamic combination.

I attended the prenatal yoga classes throughout my entire pregnancy, and I can’t recommend these classes specifically and this studio generally any more if I tried. The prenatal classes are an amazing space. They were a highlight of my pregnancy, and a space where I could re-connect with my body and baby during weeks where I felt anything but connected. If you’re pregnant, do yourself a favor and attend these classes!

I started prenatal yoga classes at MWL when I was 12 weeks pregnant and went up until 35 weeks, a week before my induction was scheduled to happen. The prenatal class with Holly was always the highlight of my week. It is such an amazing, supportive space and community — Holly has a lot to do with that! I think her prenatal class also helped me be very aware of what was going on in my mind and body, something that served me well when it came time to give birth as a first time mom. Thank you so much, Holly! I hope to be back soon.

Move with Love is SUCH a special place!! About halfway through my pregnancy I started taking Holly’s prenatal class, I’m Sticking With You. A day out from my due date right now and can say that class has been one of the BEST parts of my entire pregnancy. 75 mins of amazing stretching, community building, and time to get my head together. Cannot recommend enough for all the expecting moms, and probably one of the most affordable studios in our area. Also, Holly is a total gem!

If you consider yourself a seasoned yogi or you have never stepped in a yoga studio, you will love this space and community. I am a yoga teacher and therapist and can be pretty picky with what I find is a safe space to practice yoga. This is a community of warm teachers who remember your name, ask permission for hands on assists, and explicitly express that this is a space for queer and trans folks. There is a light heartedness to classes but also real depth if you need that. I appreciate the way teachers honor the whole tradition of yoga and not just the movement. I have invited friends who are very interested in Yoga tradition and spirituality and those just looking to move their body, and they have all expressed feeling comfortable in this space. All the teachers are lovely but Holly the owner is a really special and warm teacher so check out one of her classes.

I was feeling real shy and nervous as I opened the door to attend my first prenatal yoga class. Upon entering, Holly was quick to welcome me with her warm and inviting self. My attitude lifted with confidence jolting through my veins. She let me know the run down and offered tea. Throughout the session she makes sure to personalize the experience for all attending, I felt great! The class is led thoroughly and corrections are constructively do so. There was never a point where I was thinking if I was doing this right. Her playlists also have a correspondence to the sets she takes you through. Holly made me absolutely love yoga and hope to attend more classes when I’m ready post-birth.

Started attending Holly's prenatal classes about 10 weeks before I was due. At that point in my pregnancy I had done very little exercise (none) and was relieved that her class was easy to jump into! Holly's approach to the class is considerate of the attendees' main concerns and stages of pregnancy. In the weeks leading up to my delivery, I felt more and more prepared and connected physically and mentally for baby's arrival. With that said, I had a swift labor! Highly recommend Move with Love!

I recently had an incredible yoga experience at Move with Love! Holly, the instructor and owner, was wonderful, providing guidance and support throughout the session. The studio was fully equipped with a yoga mat, blocks, and a towel for our comfort. The class was designed to be inclusive and accommodating for all levels, with a variety of movements offered to suit each person's comfort level. The music was the perfect accompaniment, setting a great pace for the practice. At the end of the class, there was a gentle cooldown that allowed us to transition from the practice at our own pace, and truly soak in all the benefits of our practice.

As someone with limited yoga experience, I can confidently say that Move with Love is the place for me. I will definitely be returning for more sessions. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or just starting out, you will find a warm and welcoming environment where you can move with love and discover your own unique practice.
