MUV and their team have earned Six stars for their private one-on-one physical exercise training. I've been having training sessions with them for over three years. There is a level of expertise and precision used in each of my sessions that isn't found elsewhere in our community. I could be on my back on a mat for the entire session and my heart is racing because my body is being pushed to perform. I've also had specific assessments, exercises and movements crafted for me to improve/address areas of weakness in my feet and legs. I've learned why I have such imbalances and how to correct for them. All activities are tailored to help me be a better version of myself physically. Thank you MUV team!

As another review said. You can tell Jhon and the whole staff are highly educated and prgicient at what they do. Very focused. Lower impact but your muscles feel worked at the end of a ses ssd's ion. Very happy with Jhon. Up from 4 stars in my first review

MUV is one of the best studios I've ever been to (and not just in Pittsburgh). I consider my thresholds to be pretty high and I've tried many many many gyms until I found this studio. Brian is the best. He ives everyone detailed instructions and comments and corrests their form. This is not one of those gyms where you just attend a class and nobody cares how you're doing and what's the best for you. They make sure I get the exercise that's towards my goals and suitable for my body.

MΓV actually knows the mechanics behind exercise, so your workout isn't just mindlessly doing the same thing over and over again, like all the other styles of fitness I've tried over the years. They don't only focus on building muscle, but also strength through the coordination and education of your body's movement. This type of fitness makes a bigger difference in daily life, not just in the mirror. Classes are fun too, as they switch things up and you don't get board.

These guys are so well educated and it shows. Knowledge of body mechanics in a small group setting is highly advantageous to prevent injury plus learn about your own body. Workouts are challenging! Highly recommend!

This is the most amazing training experience you'll find anywhere (and I have actually looked just about everywhere since moving away). They somehow manage to make group training extremely personal. And their private training and mechanotherapy sessions are absolutely amazing for rehabbing and recovering from injuries (even injuries that have been lingering for years). I still limp into MUV a few times a year when I can make it to Pittsburgh, and I leave feeling amazing. They need to train more people in the fitness industry to think like they do - almost everyone else is doing everything wrong.

MΓV Integrated Physical Culture is a true gem in Pittsburgh, and I am grateful to have crossed paths with owner and instructor Jhonphilipp Yonan. Jhon is a rare individual who lives with purpose, is deeply passionate about his work, and generously shares his expertise to benefit others' health and well-being. An instructor of "physical culture," Jhon draws exercises from a variety of historical and contemporary traditions, creating unconventional but science-based movement sequences that promote the development of strength, stability, agility, and endurance. Both private and small group training are excellent. Jhon is experienced at teaching all levels, and he is effective as a physical therapist for those with injuries. He presents thoughtful, customized sequences to address individual needs, and he has a unique ability to deconstruct complex movements into baby steps that allow you to progress efficiently and with integrity. As a yoga practitioner and instructor, I've found the instruction at MΓV to complement and enhance my practice, bringing a new awareness to familiar yoga poses. Whereas yoga often focuses on bone alignment, Jhon targets specific muscles that maintain that body alignment, and reawakens habitually unused muscles for maximal stability. And while Jhon has a vast and intricate knowledge base, he manages to convey proper alignment and form without overwhelming you with technical language, unless you want it (then he will gladly give you an advanced anatomy lesson). The atmosphere at MΓV is welcoming, encourages camaraderie, and balances playfulness with professionalism. The studio space is bright, clean, and smells like peppermint. MΓV is definitely worth checking out for all those on the lifelong path of optimal health.
