I've been training at Nak Muay since nearly the beginning of this year and I cannot say enough amazing things about this place and the people involved. The training itself is superb and the real deal, and the best technique focused workout I have ever had. But what really sets this place apart is the community. Both the coaches and the students are welcoming, supportive, and push you to be the best you possibly can be. I've been recommending this place every chance I get.

Nak Muay Gym and the art of muay thai is absolutely something everybody should get to experience. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comforting, especially for beginners. I joined about a year ago and the instructors have never let me down! If you join this gym, you also become a part of the community we have. Many people, many different personalities and characters, yet all sharing the same love for the sport. Above all it’s an amazing workout and a very effective striking art, so if you wish to compete the instructors will guide you there to.

Nak Muay is a real-deal, no-BS gym that is THE clear leader in striking training in NE PA. Kru Eric and Coach Mackenize have fostered an environment/curriculum that caters to both novices and advanced strikers looking to compete. This gym has fielded fighters in UFC and other major promotions. Without a doubt, if you want to learn or improve your skills in Muay Thai or kickboxing, there is no better place in the Lehigh Valley.
Kru Eric teaches a traditionally authentic style of Muay Thai that comes from his years of competition with the Sityodtong camp in Thailand. His field experience is made evident in the curriculum- few gyms in the country could contextualize a lesson with “when you’re fighting in Thailand, you need to…”. The Sityodtong Muay Thai style is a gold standard that carries weight and is taught internationally.
While the pedigree speaks for itself, Nak Muay’s culture emphasizes safety and fundamentals. Beginner students receive extra attention to ensure progress. The curriculum is laid out in a clear way for individuals to transition from novice to capable strikers. Whether you’re looking to just get in shape or compete, Nak Muay has you covered.
Training in other gyms across the country has made me appreciate the Nak Muay curriculum; the style is immediately recognized and respected. I’m looking forward to returning to train with the Nak Muay community.

I started training at Nak Muay about 3 months ago and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in a long time.
From the start the gym presented a welcoming atmosphere and a culture of mutual respect. Whether you're there to train seriously with the intent to compete, to learn self defense, or just get a great work out, all are made to feel welcome and supported. No egos or tough-guy attitudes, everyone I have worked with, from beginners like myself to advanced students helping us out, has made me feel like they are there to help me grow and improve, and instilled in me a desire to do the same for anyone I work with.
Coach Mack is an incredible teacher, instructing with patience, care and a clear love for Muay Thai, and Kru Eric is a font of knowledge and experience in all things authentic Muay Thai, making you feel as though you're not only learning a great and effective martial art, but also the culture and spirit behind it.
I also feel stronger and more capable than I have in my life thanks to the intense nature of training, but unlike most forms of difficult physical training, I have a blast doing it every time.
Whether you're looking to become a competitive fighter in Muay Thai, learn good self defense skills, or just get a helluva work out for your own health and well being, Nak Muay is the place, no question. Come and see for yourself!

I’ve loved every second of training here! When I signed up for my intro class, I thought I’d only come once or twice a week, but after my very first session I was hooked and started coming every day. The coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about helping you improve. The atmosphere is welcoming to everyone, and we have such a great community of women who support and push each other. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, this is the perfect place to learn, grow, and fall in love with Muay Thai.

If you don't like to work out this is the place to come. All my life i've struggle to commit to any type of workout routine because "it's hard or it was fun but now i get bored". At Nak Muay you will get so much energy, confidence, and the best part it's that you are enjoying every time you come to class. The trainers are very knowledgeable and the environment its always positive. My mood has change drastically for the better, I have lost 20 lbs since I started coming a year ago.

Gym is OK they just don’t have sparring in there curriculum which makes training pointless more good for exercise I guess .. not a place to go to if your trying to actually learn and practice how to fight due to the fact they do not have sparring in there .. there are other better gyms to go to where you can actually practice sparring in there training which is the fundamental of what actually teaches you how to fight. A gym that does not have sparring in there system is a pointless gym to go to unless your trying to sign up for exercise

I suggest everyone do what I did. Do a trial here at Nak Muay and then go do trials at all the other striking gyms in the area. I always do my research before jumping into anything. See for yourself that this has the best training for striking in the area.
The owner and head trainer has stayed and trained in the motherland of Thailand for an extended period of time. He brought back authentic muay thai knowledge and spread it to all the other coached and students.
I started going to this gym 2 years ago and I always look forward to going to class. Staying active doesn’t feel like a chore anymore. It’s more than staying active. Muay thai sharpens your mind and lets you have that mind-body connection. Everyone has great vibe and the more advanced students are always happy to help whenever you want it.
They do yearly group trips to Thailand so we get the full muay thai experience. I wish I would’ve started this sooner and that’s constant thing I hear from a lot of people. Age is irrelevant to training muay thai. If you’re reading this, consider it your calling to come out and give it a shot.

I started training at Nak Muay about 3 years ago. The experience has been great. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and foster a great atmosphere and community. Training at Nak Muay has afforded me many opportunities and unforgettable experiences like training in Thailand, winning fights and championships along with lifelong friendships. Whether you want to be a high lvl competitor or are just interested in staying active I truly believe there is no better place to train muay thai/ striking in the Lehigh valley.

Went to the trip to Thailand and signed up through Nak Muay and it was an incredible experience to say the least. I recently went on a trip to Thailand to train Muay Thai with Kru Eric and the Nak Muay Team. I went on the trip not knowing anyone, but Kru Eric brought me in immediately. He introduced me to members of the gym, invited me to dinner, helped me improve my Muay Thai and was overall extremely welcoming. It is evident that Nak Muay gym is a family and that the staff is greatly invested in the success of the students, regardless of age or skill level. I would highly recommend Nak Muay gym to any student that wants to learn or improve their Muay Thai!

I’ve been at nak muay for almost 2 years now and I think it’s been one of the best decisions of my life signing up. Kru Eric (head instructor) has a such a passion for teaching Muay Thai and same goes for the other instructors there. Their enthusiasm for the sport rubs off on you and makes you want to train harder. One of the coolest things about nak muay is that every year Kru Eric takes the time to plan a trip out to Thailand for 10 days where you hit pads and learn from some of the best trainers in the world! But my favorite thing above all else is the camaraderie and sense of community that you feel after seeing the same people almost everyday. After going to Thailand the bonds and friendships I’ve made run that much deeper and I’m more excited about showing up to class than I’ve ever been before. But it’s also really cool to learn how to kickass if that’s what you were originally going for!

I wouldn’t recommend supporting this establishment. I signed a 6 month contract and ended up having to leave the state for urgent personal matters, with news that I won’t be returning to Easton. I attempted to get some sort of refund for the 5 weeks that I trained there but they refused. I paid $1,000 to train for 5 weeks and they weren’t willing to come to some sort of compromise with me. Even $200 I’d be happy with but the owners unfortunately value financial gain over the well being of others. I stated that I understand it’s a contract but sometimes things happen in life and the fact that they weren’t understanding of that shows their true character to me.
EDIT - In response to the owners response , I was never given free shins , pads , nor a free private. I wouldn’t have gladly set time aside if someone had mentioned a free private, so I don’t know why that was even mentioned in your response. I wasn’t even given a free class, I paid $69 for my first 4 introductory classes. You claim I trained for free when that was far from the case. You also did not mention any monthly options because I would have definitely hopped on that , so once again false information. And lastly, it’s comical how you guys view my having to leave town for matters outside of my control as “excuses for not making it to class.” I stand my ground on this review.

I was able to do 2/4 classes of the two week trial advertised. You can absolutely tell that the gym fosters a really good community, and that in general the vibes are really good here. You can also tell that the coaching staff is knowledgeable and really cares about their long-term student growth. Even just on the times I came in I got to work with a couple coaches directly and I appreciate the feedback I was getting.
That all said, I'm choosing not to do a full membership, and I think it really boils down to some of the business practices and club policy.
It seems the business has decided to purposefully obfuscate their pricing from their website so they can give it at the end of the first free class. They also made it a point that they do not want photos of the pricing making it out of the club. Finally, they intentionally have a shotgun discount if and only if one signs up after one class, which signals to me that they basically have one price and then charge a premium if you choose to explore the full two weeks they advertise.
Additionally I had the unfortunate news tonight that missing one class of the free trial locks you out of the other free classes of your trial. While I respect that the club has this policy and it was on me to know it, I had tried to call and communicate as early as possible that I had a sudden, unavoidable work conflict keeping me from the one class so that I could push it to another day in the period.
I think the combination of these two things really left a bad taste in my mouth as having been part of various sport clubs for going on 14 years now, I've come to expect both transparent pricing as well as either less gotchas in trial periods or even just a little more willingness from the club to work with folks when life happens.
To reiterate, I think the club staff and community themselves are great and folks should come check it out, but unfortunately I'm just a little too soured to commit to as much money as they're asking to join.

Nak Muay is the gym you want to go to if you want to get down, dirty, learn how to fight seriously and if you're not afraid of a little sweat. Or a lot of sweat. Either way, for many of you, it's going to be the best workout of your life! My son joined the gym almost a year ago. Being a minor I have to drive him. I have to wait until he finished in my car because this place does not have a decent waiting area. Summer time is a killer for me and for my son. The gym does not have an air conditioner and they have to leave the door open while working out. My son comes out drenched after the session. His water bottle that he brings emptied out and there is no water fountain inside. For the amount of money we are paying for the membership we expect some amenities. We are cancelling the membership at the end of the contract. We are hoping this place will respectfully honor our request for cancellation.

I love muay thai and was really excited to check this place out. I was near the area for work and since I would be in the area for a few weeks I thought I could get some great workouts, learn, make friends etc. From the minute I walked into this place they were unwelcoming even though they had scheduled a reservation with me! Once they finally started talking to me and I explained my situation they literally said “I am going to stop this conversation now,” and told me to leave because they refuse to allow anybody near the gym if they dont plan on training there for years to come because its unfair to their long term students. They have no information on their website about any of this, but will look at you like you're the one trying to cause a problem. The whole experience felt like I had walked into the kobra kai gym from karate kid, and now I have to go find a good teacher to remind me how bad this organization is.

Before I started at Nak Muay Gym, I was a 50 year old with severe liver damage, high blood pressure and a size 36 waist. Six months later, my liver is almost healed, my blood pressure is excellent and my waist is size 33. This is all due to the workout at Nak Muay Gym. Exclusively. I've watched what and how much I eat, but the work at the gym is responsible for a turnaround that my doctors can't believe.
At first, I worried about walking into something I've never done, boxing, let alone Thai boxing, and looking foolish. Everyone feels that way at first but it doesn't last. Just two or three classes a week, and you pick it up. Everyone I've met there does. The reason is that the coaches and teachers are excellent and experienced pros.
Sticking with it is easy, as the class and instructors are VERY supportive and among the best people you'll meet. People of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels are welcome here.
Another great thing is learning the Muay Thai culture. It is all about respect, gratitude and self-discipline. My body has gotten healthier at Nak Muay, but more than that, my attitude toward everything outside the gym has become much more positive. I can't say enough about how it's changed my life for the better.
The price was on par with other gyms, and very affordable. The difference is, you can't show up and do a BS workout where you phone it in. You don't want to at Nak Muay. Other gyms, you get there and some dude is on the machine you need hanging out, you go home or modify your workout. Here, you're gonna work hard every time and it's GREAT. Worth every penny, especially when you consider losing 3 inches off your waist in four months.
It's a sweaty, hard workout, but you end up in such a beautiful place when you're finished. I highly recommend Nak Muay Gym. Keep an eye out for the kickboxing classes coming soon. From what I've heard they'll be more about conditioning and less about technique, so if you're looking to get fit, it's a great place to go!

The classes at the gym reflect his expertise: training here has an emphasis on technique and form, while still offering a good workout to build strength and fitness. The classes are partially split up by level, and the coaches are welcoming of everyone whether an absolute beginner or a seasoned practitioner.
The community in the gym is friendly and welcoming, and everyone here shares a passion for training and a friendliness they extend to anyone who walks in the door. The attitude in the gym is focused on improvement, and even in the advanced classes and sparring there is never a sense of trying to "one up" anyone or trying to "prove something" during sparring. Everyone is here to improve and help each other improve, and the atmosphere of the gym reflects that.
A perfect fit for anyone interested in improving (or beginning to train!) in Muay Thai.

I started at Nak Muay about 6 months ago, and it has by far been one of the greatest decisions I have ever made! The school is friendly and welcoming and everyone wants to help you get better! The owner/head instructor is incredibly skilled and a fantastic teacher. I enjoyed studying under him and learned so much in the time that I spent there. If it wasn’t for no longer being in the area, I would still be training at this school! If you are looking to learn Muay Thai from the best, this is the place!!! 10/10!

I’ve been going to this Muay Thai gym for about a month now and really, I’m super happy that I decided to do it and friends gave me a nudge. Kru Eric is an amazing teacher and the other students are more than welcoming and will help you out. It’s got really good vibes and the classes are intense but totally worth it both mentally and physically! This isn’t a meathead factory, it’s the real deal.

Eric Karner may be one of the most knowledgeable and experienced pure striking coaches in New Jersey. As a coach he strongly emphasizes the fundamentals and perfect form as a way to build a strong foundation for fighters before introducing more advanced techniques. He teaches an authentic style of Muay Thai that originated from the revered Sityodtong camp in Thailand that serves as a comprehensive skill set for wherever your martial art journey will take you. This along with a decently small class size will allow you to receive the individual attention you need to build a strong skill set you can rely on. If you come in with the goal of trying your best and truly making an effort to apply yourself and learn from his lessons he will give you as much thought as one of his professional fighters regardless of how skilled you are. The conditioning will get you fit is tailored to each level of class experience, it is reasonable that someone new with no level of fitness can come in and keep pace if they push themselves.

Can’t say enough about Nak Muay gym! Been going for a year, and can’t get enough of the classes and team camaraderie. Trained 20years ago, but never had authentic training and instruction... has made a huge difference. Kru Eric is awesome... his expertise, support and authentic Thai training has been great.
If you want a gym that pushes you, has a great crew and teaches you without throwing you into the deep end of the Muay Thai pool, you should join Nak Muay gym.
Thank you Kru Eric!

The Thai tour November 2019 was amazing. This was my second tour and we spent the first 2 nights in Bangkok. We walked around the beautiful city, visited a few temples, and paid our respects to the world famous Sleeping Buddha. One of the highlights in Bangkok was attending Muay Thai fight night at Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium. At Sityodtong in Pattaya, I continued to learn and improve through technical training and intensive drills. Our group was pretty large (over 20 students) and everyone was very supportive and encouraging. The large group was not a problem for our Sityodtong coaches as they built workouts to match each student's capabilities. With each trip to Thailand, I'm building stronger relationships and learning a little bit of Thai. I can't wait for 2020! I strongly recommend the Thai tour to anyone how is serious about experiencing the foundations of Muay Thai and learning from the world’s best trainers at Sityodtong!

One of the most authentic Muay Thai gyms out there. The tour packages to Thailand are one of the most cultural enriching experiences out there. Not only do you get to visit the Sityodtong gym in Pattaya, but you also get to explore the various offerings of Thailand from temples, restaurants and muay thai fights. The lead instructor passes down years of experience in Thailand so you are able to skip all the tourist traps and truly experience what Thailand has to offer.

Incredible instructors, who truly have a passion for Muay Thai, along with an incredible knowledge of the sport. Recently I went on the thailand trip, and I must admit, I did not want to come home! Getting the opportunity to learn true authentic Muay Thai from instructors who have been competitive in the sport their entire lives is a once in a life time opportunity. I look forward to many more Thailand trips through them!

An amazing school for authentic Muay Thai training straight from Sityodtong! Don’t bother with other kickboxing gyms - you might get a workout, but it won’t be the right technique. Build your skills the right way! Here!

Top notch instructor who is passionate about the art and its history. I just went on the Thailand trip which the gym does roughly twice a year and to say I had an amazing time would be an understatement! Getting the chance to train with some Muay Thai instructors, most of which have been practicing their entire lives, was an amazing experience. The trip as a whole was a great way to not only take your training to the next level, but also see the origins of Muay Thai and the beautiful country of Thailand. Thanks again, cannot wait until the next trip!

Additionally, this is a wonderful place to get in shape and meet other people who feel the same passion and drive to learn Muay Tai! Furthermore, I have learned a sense of work ethic that seems to be resonating not only inside the class but outside of the class in my everyday life!

Highly recommend the Thailand tour! Went in November of 2018 and it was incredible! The coordinators of the trip planned a fantastic time for us, we didn't have to worry about a thing. It's a fun opportunity to see a beautiful country, learn more about Thai culture, and enjoy delicious food, all while becoming better in Muay Thai. There was a variety of skill levels among the participants and the instructors were great at assessing each person and meeting them on their level and working with them to advance their skills and technique. It was a perfect balance of fun and training. Thank you, Anurak Muay Thai Academy for the amazing experience!

I've been training at Anurak for about 2 months and couldnt be happier. The Instruction is always geared towards the skill levels of the students in each class. I've taken classes before where, as a new student, I felt like I was out of place among more experienced people and the burden was on me to catch up. I havent seen that here. Theres a strong emphasis on learning the foundations of Muay Thai, with great coaching on the how as well as the why of each skill. I'd recommend Anurak to anyone looking to start or to experienced martial artists looking to improve or expand their skills.
