It is concerning to me the number of times that I show up at 5 am and the worker does not show to open the building. Most people up that early usually have to go to work. I understand this could occasionally happen, but the frequency of this is not ok. Getting up that early to not have the gym open is frustrating and not acceptable. I have never had this issue at the one in Mt Lebanon. Please do better.

Love this gym! It’s not too busy. They have several tanning beds & a red light therapy bed as well as hydro-massage. The employees are nice & helpful. They do not have a personal trainer. They have a room with several machines to do a thirty minute workout. I’m so glad I found this place!!

I purchased a $1.99 membership for my husband in May for a gift. This membership has been nothing but stress from the beginning. As of now I have added up all of the overcharges and it is currently at $79.99. In May our recurring debit from Planet Fitness on our bank statement was $30.00 which is $15 over the monthly fee. I went in and spoke to someone there who asked to see my phone in order to look at my bank statement which I showed him. But no one ever reimbursed us. Then in June nothing came out so the gym attendant said he owed the fee despite the fact that Planet Fitness actually owed us $15 however in order to use the gym that day my husband paid at the gym the June fee of $15. Then in July my husband was told at the gym he owed the annual membership so he paid at the gym in person the $49.99. However the next day a recurring debit was taken out of our account for $48.00. My husband went in to discuss this issue and a "supervisor" said she'd reimburse him. It has never happened. Then a 3rd charge, the monthly recurring debit in July came out for $15. Then in August the monthly recurring debit came out and it was $30. Like make it make sense! We have had recurring debits with various services for decades and Have Never Had This Issue! We use a super common bank here and yes we called them and they said there has never been a hold nor have they stopped the recurring debit from Planet Fitness. Today my husband goes to the gym to sort this out and the employee cannot help him at all. I search who owns this gym and it's TAYMAX. I call and their voicemail is full. I am ready to contact my bank's fraud department. Where is the customer service at this company? Who is in charge here? I got my son a membership at local YMCA and I've never once had an issue! I caution anyone who is contemplating joining this gym that unauthorized amounts of Their Money from their bank accounts can be taken through their payment system and no one in management is available or knowledgeable nor has the authority to stop it or help you! $79.99 so far in 4 months!

I was just finishing up my ab workouts last evening, as these were planned to be my first muscle-group exercises of the night. After I exited the obliques machine, an employee (dark-complexed male), who was checking supplies near the entrances of the area with the yellow-painted equipment and the area to its left, degraded my attire. I told him, that what I was wearing does not violate gym policy, and that some people working out wear the same or similar clothing. Feeling harassed, I abruptly ended my workout, as I went into the locker room to change back into my clothes. On my way out the door, I decided to stop at the front desk and mentioned to another male employee what unacceptably took place. He said that he was sorry this happened, and I am sure he could tell how upset I was. If I do not return or cancel my membership at minimum, then this experience will be the reason. I forgot to mention that I think I was there between 6 and 7PM.

Called the Bethel Park location today to see if they were able to assist with finding a member ship ID number as we could not locate to log into the App. Joe at the Bethel Park location answered the phone and we had explained that we have had the membership for years but have not gone to the gym in a long time. We explained to Joe that we signed up in another state years ago but now reside in Bethel Park so going to our home club is not an option right now. He took our information and stated could not locate the membership though we have been paying monthly for years. He told us we would need to go to our closest gym for help and when we explained to him that bethel park was the closest gym, he repeated himself and hung up on us mid sentence. We immediately called back and hung up again after 2 rings. This is unacceptable. We pay for two separate memberships and will be canceling both.

Horrible horrible experience at this gym. I have been a member here for the past 4 months and never ever experienced what I experienced here at any any other gym. While doing my workout yesterday another member in the gym who is known to the staff who works there who frequently comes in started harassing my while I was on the treadmill coming over to me MULTIPLE times and making gestures with his hands telling me not to talk. I didn’t know this gym had a policy that you cannot talk on the phone while working out. If any member had a problem they could alert the staff and have them talk to me and I would be more than happy to end the phone call. Instead, the member came over to me in my personal space multiple times and started making gestures to me and talking to me as if I was stupid and couldn’t understand. Finally the third time I went to the staff and told them the situation. The 3 staff working the front desk handled the situation HORRIBLY after I told them I was being harassed and the front desk staff Zach went over and talked to the man who was doing this. They then came over to me and told me it was policy and that there was nothing they could do. I have NEVER felt unsafe at the gym and was a happy paying member until this incident. I have talked to management who says they are handling it but have not yet taken any action against the member who harassed me due to the fact that he is a long time member there. I will get the corporate company involved this is NOT ACCEPTABLE and was handled very poorly by staff and management.

I’ve been a member at the gym for six years with Silver Sneakers. No problem. Now Highmark has switched to FitOn Health and the gym will not take the account that was set up for me through FitOn. On January 16 my membership through Silver Sneakers ended along with many others. Why is the gym resisting the change? I can’t get an answer from anyone just lip service. Staff at the gym is not helpful.

Went today to get a workout in at 5 am and the opener didn’t show up. I left at almost 5:15 because I had to get ready to go to work and wouldn’t have had enough time to get a workout in. I know things happen but maybe there needs to be more than 1 opener to avoid this. Not the first time it’s happened at this location. It’s very disappointing.

This gym is nice for the most part but my main concern is the cleanliness of the facility, I utilize the tanning beds and the rooms are very dirty and need some maintenance. In room 3 , there is yellow splatter on the wall directly behind the tanning bed where your head goes, there’s brown splatter on the wall. And there has been a bandaid in the room for about 2 weeks now. I brought this to the attention of an employee I return the next day and it still hasn’t been addressed . It’s just disgusting.

My friend took me to work out 2 weeks ago. We stopped before we left to get details for me to join. I wanted to talk everything over with my Husband before I signed up. My husband ended up bringing me to set everything up a few days ago. The set up process was easy and pretty fast. The gym was super clean and the workers were super nice. We tanned yesterday and I got a little red so next time I won't go in as long til I get a base tan. The tanning beds and area were clean and had room to get changed. I also tried the Total Body Enhancement and it was pretty cool. I look forward to tanning and Total Body Enhancement. The first time I went with my friend we tried the hydro massage. It was amazing on my back. I have a bad back. The locker rooms and bathrooms were very clean. I will be taking the trolley to get there for the time being. I had a seizure in August and lost my license for 6 months. It's nice that I can walk a short distance, get on the trolley and be at Planet Fitness in 10 mins or less. I'm excited for my gym journey!

One of the smaller Planet Fitness gyms I have been to. A fair amount of equipment. When a piece of equipment is out of service it takes weeks until they fix it. It's more of a problem here since it's a smaller PF and they don't have more than one of some of the pieces of equipment. There is no snow / ice removal or maintenance. Friendly, helpful staff. Their promotion to allow teenagers 15-19 to workout free during the summer is not fair for the regular paying members. Often, there were 3 or 4 on one piece of equipment and when they weren't using it they would sit on it and stare at their phone.

This has been my home gym for a little under a year. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and fairly clean. My only issue is with the outdated equipment. Its not the age of the equipment. They all still work very well and get the job done. But i recently visited a newer location and they had better versions of the existing ones that seemed to target much more efficiently as well as other ive never seen before that i really enjoyed using. I would say id just go back but i was on vacation in Minnesota. Overall im am pleased with the facility but a little upgrade here and there would be much appreciated.

I've been a member at this location for a few years and up until now its
been great. They have a good selection of equipment and the place use to be spotless until now! However, recently this facility has really gone downhill with regards to overall cleanliness! Dirty floors, dirty windowsills, serious dust bunnies & hair under the free weights. Chair rail all along the walls have a ton of dust and grime on it. The exercise ball area looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, this is the area most people use floormats, so you're right there in the nasty zone. The men's locker room is filthy and has a bad odor. These are all things that can be easily remedied with getting the employees back out on the floor cleaning not just the equipment but the overall facility. A little elbow grease could go a long way to improve this location and fix the problem.

Half these people exaggerate people not wearing masks. It’s a gym to begin with people. Some individuals are doing strenuous workouts so it’s expected they need air. The mask restricts little air flow because your always sucking in or always having to blow through the fabric which isn’t enough. If your making a big deal then just do calisthenics ( at home) or buy home gym equipment. Simple as is 🤷🏼‍♂️. You can’t control anybody’s life but your’s.
