For the price, Planet Fitness is an excellent place to work out. While it’s not open 24/7, that doesn’t bother me much. The Black Card membership is a huge benefit, it’s great to enjoy a relaxing massage after a tough workout. The staff has been friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better.

This went from a 5 star gym to the worst gym I’ve been to. When they remodeled everything, they took away the stretching/ab room, took smith machines, made the hip abductor/adductor one machine when having two of each already wasn’t enough, and took other cardio machines. If PF wasn’t the only affordable gym in town I’d cancel my membership for somewhere with enough machines. Everything is so far apart yet also so cramped. You can’t add plates to a smith machine without being virtually on top of the person next to you. It’s also hotter and more humid than it is outside most days. They ruined everything good enough this place when they remodeled it

Been going to this location for years with no complaints. However, since the remodel last month, many of the cardio machines were taken out. Only 4 ellipticals remain, most of the ab machines are gone, went from 2 of each hip adduction/ abduction down to only 1 ( which is always being used). Lots of empty space. Definitely not happy.

I travel all over and I've walked in dozens if not close to a 100 planet fitness locations. 80% of the time staff is just relaxing on their phone, which is not criticizing since most of them are clean and well maintained . This is probably as clean as it gets when it comes to a gym. I see staff constantly cleaning no matter what time of day. They have such a variety of equipment and they maintain it well. I've seen stuff break down but get fixed within a few days. It does get busy for. A couple of hours a day but being a personal trainer I know all about that lol. Overall I love this gym and would recommend to anyone looking for not just a cheap option but a smart option. You can't go wrong.

Traveling through and visited this gym. I was happy they had the option between the 'straight' or 'angled' Smith machine. Lots of truck parking too. Although, I wish Planet fitness used the more standardized barbells at 45 lbs.

Friendly staff BUT the gym needs a good cleaning! Machines are dusty I had to wipe down the standing tanning bed before using it. Floors are visibly dirty never see anyone walking around cleaning anymore and the woman's bathroom is usually out of toilet paper and visibly dirty... it use to never look like this

Work out attire needs to be enforced. A sports bra is not meant to replace a shirt. It’s intended to offer support. When I asked a staff member about it I was told as long as everything is “covered.” So someone can show up in underwear because it “covers” everything? Please address this.

I tried to call Matthrew Strunk, Logan's manager today, however, I just was told he left the company.
Hopefully the new manager or upper management receives this email.
I just wanted to let you know that I have been in Carlisle for the past 10 days for work.  Anyway, I always notice people at businesses and how they treat others.
Especially since I have been in executive sales and management myself for over 25 years.
Logan is absolutely by far the most professional, intelligent and accommodating person I have met not only in Carlisle, but in all the states I have traveled for the last year.Yes, there have been some other good people that stood out to me.
However, Logan definitely stands out in every way imaginable.  I even observed him yesterday when he was unfortunately swamped with about 7 different people all coming in once that needed help.
He was able to handle that situation with confidence and composure while letting everyone know he would take care of them as quickly as possible.
Anyway, I have a college degree, spent over 25 years in sales, management, business operations, etc.I honestly could not have done even half as good as Logan at orchestrating and juggling all those people at the same time.
If I owned a business, someone like Logan is the person I would go out and hire immediately.
No doubt...
Anyway, please take care of Logan and realize many of us notice people like him.
Logan is rare, very rare and a treasure for any company to have on their team.

This planet fitness does not have there personal trainer full time. They advertise training but his schedule is so inconsistent. I would like to train with him at least 5 days a week but can't. I have talked to other members as well who would like to train with him but can't because of being part time.

I have never been to a gym before but I wanted to start working out and I chose Planet Fitness. The Carlisle location looked nice and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk. Since I knew nothing about how to use the machines I wanted to work with a trainer and I was introduced to Tim. At our first meeting he made a customized workout for me after we spoke about my fitness goals. Tim has thought me the proper way to use the machines and the proper form to get the best results. He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. I look forward to our sessions to see what new workouts he has planned. Tim is a great asset to Planet Fitness in Carlisle and I recommend anyone who is new to working out like I was to go and speak to him.

I used to be in great shape, let myself go for a year or two but PF is making it very easy to get back it. The young man at the front was very helpful and kind, pointing out where everything was and helping me take advantage of some black card amenities that I hadn't ever taken the time to try. Always a bargain, if you use it! I can't tell you how many times I've noted that many people join as P F run special campaigns to get them to join. These people pay $10 or so to get the basic membership, and they come in Gung ho and work out hard for a day or two, and you never see them again. They probably are hurting from good intentions, but should have signed up for the full $20 black card and took the time to use the massage facilities and put the lactic acid back where it belongs and avoid the pain. Start out leaving a day to recover and do that routine all over again. I started out years before and quit because I hurt so badly. When I got on the post exercise massage routine, it made all the difference. Also, I don't know why they don't accept retired silver sneakers covered by some Medicare plans, but that might get some more retirees. Just sayin'. Still, best bargain in town! Good luck!

Tim is hands down the best trainer I've ever had. He writes personalized programs that are easy to follow and always ensures my form is spot-on during every lift. Thanks to his guidance, I'm consistently on track to reach my fitness goals. His motivation keeps me pushing forward, and I genuinely look forward to my sessions with him every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Really great store. The equipment is nicely spaced out. And the employees are always friendly. Especially Logan he goes out of his way to greet & say high to everyone not just the regulars. Also noticed he keeps up on the paper towel rolls. I try to workout 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mon - Thurs but I also go in there earlier on the weekends around 11ish. The bathrooms are always clean. The crowd is moderate & the regulars are welcoming. Really makes me happy to keep my gym membership. Also being a Black Card member is worth the money. You get to bring a friend & that keeps you motivated to be there.

Logan was above and beyond accommodating during my first visit to the gym which resulted in rejoining. He took his time, showed me around, answered all my questions and could not have done a better job! I know Planet Fitness is a large organization, but it's the personal attention that belongs to the person behind the desk that really makes all the difference. My 81 year old grandmother was a member of the planet fitness on Walnut bottom rd in Carlisle. She canceled her membership a few months ago but her card was still being billed on the 17th of every month. We called the gym several times and went to the gym in person twice to speak to the manager and we also called to put a complaint in the corporate office but all they did was push it back to the gym. They pulled up her account confirming that she closed it a few months ago but found another account that was using her credit card. They said that the person signed up at home electronically for the membership using her card. Instead of stopping all payments on the stolen card, the gym continued to bill her in September, October and November of 2023 knowing it was a case of fraud. She called the gym again a few days ago explaining that they were still allowing the payment to come out of her account even though she called several times to stop payment. The girl that answered the phone ( when I figure out her name I will update) was very rude with her basically mocking my 81 year old grandmother telling her to get an attorney is she wants her money back. Planet fitness on Walnut bottom rd in Carlisle is obviously only concerned with one thing and that appears to be money. I do not recommend this gym to anybody.

I’m surprised that a national conglomerate wouldn’t have someone who manages social media and communication send a mass email to all members that they were closing for over two weeks. No offer to suspend membership, we are paying a whole month almost with no access to the actual gym. I would have been far less displeased had I not had to drive 20 minutes to find the sign saying it is closed until the 18th. Checked my email that is tied to the account, no correspondence that this was actually happening.
