I’m a truck driver and stopped by this Planet Fitness for a quick workout. There’s no truck parking here, but it’s a big plaza and they don’t bother if you park your rig in the car parking for a few hours. Just make sure not to stay overnight — signs say no overnight parking and they’ll tow.

Nice clean gym, friendly staff, and easy in and out. Good spot to stop, get a solid workout, and hit the road again.

I've been hear off and on for a few years. I go late overnight mostly or very early mornings. There were 2 employees, I can't remember the names but they are African Americans and very pleasant to be around. Anyway, as I was on the stair climb with a higher view of the place i can see them cleaning, dusting, mopping the treadmill, and whatever else is needed. Cleaning more than I expected.
Today, I spoke with a manager named McKenzie and she's cleaning walls.
The massage chairs are epically awesome. I I've drifted to sleep a few times using them. It would be a nice touch if nobody is waiting for them to extend the time to 15 minutes. Overnight I have to disturb the crew from their tasks to use the chairs multiple times.
All in all, I will continue to use it. I skip my hometown gyms and drive 20 minutes for this place.

I've recently returned to Planet Fitness after a few years away, and overall I’m glad to be back. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. However, I’ve been really disappointed by the rotary torso machine available at this location.

The current machine is very uncomfortable and not functional for people like me with a shorter reach. It's difficult to get proper form, and instead of feeling it in my core, I end up straining my arms—especially frustrating since core workouts are what I’m trying to focus on.

I visit other Planet Fitness locations when I travel or have to plan my day around convenience, and many of them have a much better version of this machine. The one where you kneel and grab the handles in front of you. That style works much better for proper engagement and allows for a more effective workout. I really wish we could get one of those here.

To make it more frustrating, this location only has one rotary torso machine total. So not only is it uncomfortable and ineffective, I’m also stuck waiting if someone else is using it. I noticed the gym got new equipment this year, which is great, but unfortunately no upgrade or additional rotary machine.

I’m hoping this feedback reaches someone who can take it into serious consideration. The kneeling rotary torso machine would be a big improvement, especially for members with different body types. More core machine options would be greatly appreciated, and would show that the gym is continuing to evolve with member needs in mind.

I have belonged to a few gyms in the past, but none which I have enjoyed more than Planet Fitness in Chambersburg, PA. The staff is always present and working to keep up the high standards of cleanliness and maintaining a pleasant environment to work out in. The equipment is extensive and well maintained. Behind the desk woman was rude towards me because i wasn’t aware that this facility only has regular stand up tanning beds. Gave me a bad impression Juliana is her name… then gotta act all professional since she got rude with me… never coming back here again.
I don’t always get results by going to management so I let the audience know what they can expect when they want somewhere to let out their stress from working every weekend this year and missing out on life because of a health condition that requires exercising…. Before your staff members want to assume or bring a customer down just remember you never know what that person is going through… so I expect a professional response from every situation possible.

I am appalled with my experience with PF- Chambersburg, Pa. I signed up for a membership 10 days ago, basic $15.00/mo, was then charged $30.00 on the 17th. When I called and asked about the over change, they said that there was an error when entering the banking info., and this was a "late fee!" Late fee? I just signed up last week. They also stated there would be NO refund! How is this even possible? How can any business think this is acceptable.

Canceling a plan is such a pain, They ignore federal rules around being able to cancel online, after so much arguing over the phone. They will finally allow you to cancel a plan that you no longer want. It's insane the hoops you have to go through to be able to cancel a plan you no longer want. Please find a local small gym and avoid large commercial gyms that don't treat the customer right.

So I left my red beat ear buds on the treadmill on 2/4/25 I called right away the male staff member found them and told me he put them in the lost and found. I went to the gym at 5 am on 2/5\25 I asked the same staff member hay can I have buds . He went to the lost and found bin where he put them . The then told me somebody must of took them / stole them ,,,What !!! He told me to call the assistant manager Carissa she's said theirs nothing she can do I asked for the owner number she said we don't give out the number I asked for corporate number she said we don't have one , like what ?????? I want my ear buds replaced I feel like the manager is the the who stole them she was not helping and she HUNG UP ON ME when I asked are you going to take my name down ?????????! There have been multiple instances where I have seen 2 girls, who look to be in their 20s, flirting with the guys working out in the gym, causing my workout to take even longer because they feel the need to chat it up with men on the machines. Not only that, but I have seen one of the girls (black hair and brown eyes, looks to be 18-20) use machines and equipment on the clock, doing ANYTHING but her job. I mind my business and I don't care what people do as long as they are not interfering with my time or my workout. Something needs to be done about this so I can enjoy my time and not worry about staff not doing their jobs.

i’ve been going to this gym for almost 3 years, and recently 2 woman in their mid 20’s have been working here evenings, and completely ruined the whole gym environment. A black haired girl and another girl with dirty blonde hair in their 20’s go around the gym floor during work hours to talk to men and they end up having long conversations in which they end up hogging the machines for a long period of time. i’ve also seen one of them using the machines to workout on the clock and I took a picture as proof. My friend tells me that they go around asking for guy’s numbers and just bothering people during their workout while they’re on the clock. They also linger around the men’s locker room area a lot and have long conversations inside of them which i think is extremely gross. I’ve had many friends complain to management about them yet they do nothing about. I am extremely disgusted with the employees and management of this gym and that they would allow such gross acts and unprofessionalism in the gym floor. I can’t even get my workout in due to them talking to men on machines or them hogging the machines to themselves ON WORK HOURS!! This gym disgusts me.. I see them approach even young teenage men as well and it’s ONLY MEN they approach while they’re working out never women. As a mother i’d be very careful enlisting your sons into Chambersburg Planet Fitness…

my name is Timothy, I’ve been a member at planet fitness since 2023 and never once had a problem with a worker, manager, or any sort of staff. Recently, two regular employees there, (Jaylynn and Ella) told me to leave for not wearing sneakers. For the past year and a half I’ve worn Birkenstocks with absolutely no problems whatsoever. Until they started working there about 3 months ago they’ve threatened to kick me out/ban me multiple times for wearing Birkenstocks. Mind you they have NEVER gotten a manager to come speak to me about this matter and they were new hires so I didn’t take them seriously. They called the cops and banned me on Thursday January 16th without getting a manager. These two specific workers are unprofessional and singled me out when there was multiple other people working out in shoes that weren’t sneakers and they didn’t get kicked out. Not only did they ignore this, they go around being loud and obnoxious around the gym talking to groups of guys and flirting with them. I’ve also seen first hand that they would work out on the job with the members there when supposed to be doing their job. I think it’s just ridiculous they banned me over something so small and harmless like shoes when I’ve been a member for almost 2 years. I have been going to Planet Fitness for three years across the US and just recently moved to Chambersburg, PA where I have been going for six months. I go in, I do my workout and mind my own business. I was approached four days ago and told that I couldn't have my bag on the floor, the same bag I have been using in this gym and for the past three years. I asked where I was to put it, and was told in the locker room. I told the girl that I have all my gym equipment and can't carry it all loosely. I am a 64 year-old woman trying to stay in shape, minding my own business. I told her I couldn't put it in the locker room and carry all my stuff to use and then have all my stuff loose on the floor. I have noticed multiple other people with bags, four that night, some much larger than mine, and nothing being said. And these people were in their 20s. The next time I came in the gym, she approached me again and said put your gym bag in the locker room and again I told her I need these things and I can't carry them loosely. I asked to speak with the manager. I asked her for solutions. I asked if the bag was the problem. I said help me understand how I can have this stuff with me to work out if a bag is not allowed. What exactly do we need to do? I asked to speak to the manager again. She came back on the phone with her manager, but would not allow me to speak to that manager. Instead, she told me to leave the gym and called the police when I said I was staying and finishing my workout. The police came and escorted me out and I can no longer go to that gym. What's in my gym bag? I have my workout gloves, I have straps to help me hold the weights. I have wristbands for those times when my wrists hurt. I have a strap that goes around my arm when I'm having problems with my elbow, I have the foot wedges for when I work on squats, because the plates hurt my feet. I have the pad to go on the bar. I have a fitness log to write stuff down, so I know exactly what I've been doing each time. I have ankle straps for cable work, plus my water bottle. The only thing this gym provides out of what I have, is the pad for the bar. I understand policies, but I also understand enforcing it for every person, and in this case, this was blatant age discrimination. I needed the bag to help me manage my things and there was no thought or consideration for any accommodation for someone who needs it, and to kick me out of the gym because of it, is wrong. There was no explanation of why a bag wasn't allowed, nor was there a willingness to look for solutions or to try to understand why I needed my bag. She brought a piece of paper that I guess had it listed a bag wasn't allowed, however, she never showed me the paper, and I couldn't have read it without my glasses with me. The girl just said I was giving her an attitude. Of course, this is the same girl on the previous night that was walking around with her other friend who was also supposed to be working, flirting and giggling with all the guys in the gym instead of working, while equipment couldn't be cleaned because the towel dispenser was empty, and yet we feel the need to harass a 64 year-old woman who needs her bag.

The club is fine. Please Planet Fitness do away with the Precor brand. The handles are smooth, the machines are ergometrically uncomfortable, several have handles where the angle is wrong, and the numbers are small. Stick with Cybex and Life Fitness. 5 stars during the day. Through the week when I go in the evening due to work, the place is not as enjoyable. One particular employee, sits ON the desk playing their switch, or you have to call the desk multiple times before they come out wearing what looks like a blanket. I feel as if I’m waking them. This employee also frequents the locker room of the opposite gender and my bf says it can be uncomfortable. I’ve been attending this gym 2 years and always have a pleasant experience but the newer overnight attendant is a bummer everytime. I am a pretty patient person, but I shouldn’t have to call 3 times to tan. As I said, during the day it is still amazing!

This facility is huge. They have plenty of the most popular equipment and have all of the machines I look for. I really like that they have a separate 'stretching' area. It is also well kept! Everything was fine, until today when they interrupted my training routine to demand that I put on my shoes. I understand that it is for safety for them. But I am responsible for my safety and my training, and if my routine requires training without shoes, you must respect that or find an alternative other than having to leave. I am very dissatisfied with that measure. I don't know how much knowledge the biomechanics staff has, but they should know that training without shoes is appropriate.

It has everything I need when I'm always on a busy schedule. I like that it's 24 hours on weekdays, which forces me to chill out on the weekends. I like that I can shower there and get ready before I head out to work. Facilities are always clean. Staff is always nice and welcoming. There's access almost everywhere I go because I travel for work, and having the black card is such a bonus. The spa bonus is an absolute bonus. I like that I can relax and pamper myself a bit when I get some extra time to sit down or lay down on the water jet massage or massage chair to work out my worked out muscles. Overall, an absolute great gym experience everywhere I go.

The gym does not correspond to the price they want for it, this chain of gyms is created for grandparents, there is no professional equipment, all fitness equipment is made with poor materials and maximum not comfortable, the bench on which I do the bench press as if from cement and very slippery, there is no barbell and many other fitness equipment that would be useful, but a lot of useless which no one trains !!!!

I went there for tan and waited 15 minutes on Steven and to check me in. He must be new. He doesn't know what he's doing. It seems like a training issue. I was upset because I was on my lunch break and then he got upset saying I disrespected him. When I was just talking in a nice cool manner, management needs to do a better job at training their people. He's clearly new and doesn't know what he's doing. So I left unfortunate. I've been to over 60 planet fitness over the country and this is the worst. He told me Pennsylvania has strict guidelines for tanning but I'm from Pennsylvania and have all waiver signed. It just made no sense. He was just trying to be a salesperson because he didn't know how to do his job

It would be nice if they could go back to pre covid hours of operation!!!!! It's already so far away, but its a clean establishment. Staff may be available or may not be, depending on the day I suppose.

Really good gym!! Honestly I wish they could stay as my main gym but unfortunately I have college and had to switch. But nothing but love for the people who work here and all this gym has to offer.

The staff is always friendly and engaging. This club is one of the cleanest I have been to. I always see staff out making rounds cleaning while I am there. I have even had coworkers and friends mention the same things to me. It’s nice to be welcomed by smiling faces and a well maintained club.

A gym membership that doesn't break the bank .. added bonus tanning and red light therapy and the hydro massage bed .. only downfall I would say for me is having to drive 20mins.
