This gym put in new equipment in the summer. They removed a lot of equipment that was popular. You really need to bring back the 2nd sit down elliptical machine you removed. You have a lot of older members and that machine is great for those with joint issues. There is always a wait for the one remaining machine. If you don’t bring this machine back I am going to have to look for another gym. Please bring it back. Thanks

Planet Fitness, Enola PA, is fantastic. I’ve been to PF facilities throughout Central PA and this one is the best location. Leadership and staff are professional, courteous, thoughtful and attentive to member needs. Equipment is plentiful, new and well cared for. Facility is clean and roomy. I came for the cheap membership, stayed because the staff and management are actually really supportive and friendly. I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding an incident at the Enola club on 08/13 involving Club Manager Harvey.

I arrived as the guest of a Black Card member who was already working out. I was informed that I could not enter unless my guest returned to the front desk to scan me in. While I understand that Planet Fitness policy requires the Black Card member to personally check in their guest, the published policy does not specify that a member who is already actively in the club must interrupt their workout to do so.

During the interaction, the GM pointed to his name tag, stated he was the club manager, and asserted that he “knows the policies.” His condescending tone immediately escalated the situation and did not reflect the empathy and professionalism Planet Fitness promotes. It became evident that the GM does not know how to deescalate situations or handle them calmly and professionally.

I made multiple efforts to resolve the situation responsibly. I offered to provide my friend’s first and last name so her membership could be verified and even suggested that the GM observe me working out alongside her. I also pointed out that another employee had previously allowed guest access without requiring the Black Card member to check in at the desk. The GM’s response was, “Unfortunately, I follow policy.” Despite this acknowledgment, he refused to accommodate a reasonable solution and escalated unnecessarily.

At one point, I said aloud to my friend that the GM was “annoying.” Immediately after, the GM asked if I wanted to get kicked out. I then clarified that I was speaking to my friend, not him. The comment was audible only to my friend and did not disrupt other members. Despite this clarification, he ultimately expelled me for the day, citing disruption of the gym environment. This response was clearly disproportionate given the context and my consistent efforts to comply.

After I was asked to leave, I suggested that he contact the regional manager, Brandi, to clarify the situation. The GM laughed and said, “Okay, she’s the one who promoted me to this position.” This dismissive response was unprofessional and highlighted a lack of accountability, further demonstrating that the situation could have been managed respectfully and calmly.

This incident reflects a failure to enforce policy consistently, deescalate appropriately, and uphold the judgment-free, welcoming environment Planet Fitness promotes.

I respectfully request the following actions:

1. A review of the GM’s conduct and communication approach in guest interactions, with emphasis on empathy, professionalism, and correct policy enforcement.
2. A review and revision of the guest policy to clearly state expectations for Black Card members and their guests, particularly when the member is already checked in and actively using the club, to prevent unnecessary confusion or escalation.

The published guest policy states:
“When you arrive at the club, check-in with your PF Black Card® Member using your check-in code.”

While I understand this requirement, it does not mandate that a member already inside the club leave their workout to scan a guest. Professional, respectful, and empathetic communication could have resolved this situation without conflict — this standard was not demonstrated.

I hope corporate addresses this matter promptly so that future guests and members can experience the judgment-free, welcoming environment Planet Fitness promises.

No, no, no… Why did y’all replace the super effective and SAFE torso rotation with a dangerous rotary torso? Last time you’ll see me at this location. This seems to be a growing trend with PF, a callous display of total disregard for a significant number of members as the ergonomically superior Life Fitness machines are replaced by Matrix. The original machine supported your back as you worked your abs and obliques. I have a spinal injury and was totally comfortable moving its max weight. I don’t dare get on a rotary torso, with its complete lack of back support. I’m not that old- Planet Fitness is supposed to be welcoming to even more vulnerable demographics. But in an effort to save money on shiny new crap machines, it has found ways to create a two tiered experience where some people will have a lesser, and far less accessible, experience.

The gym hours are not good, stretch them out more, especially on weekends. 7am to 7pm on Sunday and Saturday is a joke for a gym this big. They also just straight up removed the paper towels from the bathroom, so the hand dryers make the entire sink area wet. Other than that, this gym is probably the best around for the price. I bumped up a star because they just overhauled all of their equipment and added 3 OPEN squat racks! Finally!

I’ve been a member of planet fitness for a very long time and this is the dirtiest location every day I try to tan the beds are discusting the stand up beds are worse !!! This is absolutely disheartening as to they normally only have one staff member working but normally just hanging behind the desk a gym is a germ infested place please do better as to the prices keep going up but the gym seems more discusting!

I am redacting my previous review of this facility. While this gym is clean and well staffed with great customer relations, they refuse to expand into the adjacent building space that has been sitting empty for nearly a decade despite the customer base tripling over the years. It's a constant fight for machines, and a lot of the specialized machines there is only one of. The smith machines often have their benches missing. If you're serious about your workout journey, maybe pick a less jam-packed gym.

I started using this location mid summer and I’m very disappointed in the cleanliness of the gym. I don’t go often but when I do I find it to be more disgusting each time. Today was the worst experience as I’m doing rope pull downs in the 360 room and dust and dirt is flying all over me, my water bottle, and my work out book. I don’t understand how you have expectations of people to wipe the machines down when they’re done using them but you guys can’t do your part on keeping the gym clean. I can only imagine when the tanning beds have fully been wiped down last because the inside tops are disgusting when I go in and so is the outside of it on the bottom. Your staff stands behind the desk more than half the time doing nothing, make your manager actually manage the place or hire a cleaning staff like most gyms usually have. It’s disgusting and I don’t know how more people aren’t commenting about it. I don’t want to do a cable ab crunch with a giant hair ball on the floor near me. Get it together Planet. And it’s not just this location, Hampden tanning beds were disgusting last time I was there. I’ve been a member for 10 years now. You guys weren’t always this careless and crappy. Please get it together. 🤢 And don’t respond with, reach out to our staff because your staff acted like he doesn’t care, told me nobody does anything (clearly not him either) and told me to leave a review about how I felt. Apparently manager is on vacation right now. So owner, have some pride and dignity and actually do something.

This is an ok PF. We moved here a few months ago and this is the closest one to our house. The place can get super packed. Sometimes waiting on equipment for a while. The only bad thing I've seen here is the place is filthy. The PF we came from the Staff was constantly dusting and vacuuming. In the 6 months of 6 days a week I have NOT ONCE seen staff doing anything other than fill bottles and paper towels. Tons of dust in corners. Doing push-ups you're gonna come up with someone's hair in your mouth.

The part of planet fitness membership That I liked the most is that I was able to go to planet fitness & consistently stay dedicated to reach my goal with the help of the cardio equipment I was using & the price to pay monthly is seriously worth it to pay for especially because it’s a huge benefit & investment for myself knowing health is wealth. My starting weight was 202pounds & I was able to work my way down to 168 pounds & at this point I am now 166pounds which means I have achieved my goal that was considered a short & long term goal of mine & going forward I am able to manage & have been managing my current weight while continuing to try & put the effort into improving & progressing to be the best version of myself that I can become on a day to day basis for me to stay healthy & also feel healthy as well.

I only recommend coming here during the day. From 4pm or later, good luck getting any machine other than a treadmill. Way too many people. The members here are pretty gross too; they do not wipe their machines down after using & they don’t re-rack their weights properly, if at all. 0 gym etiquette here from the members, but the staff is pretty nice.

I was looking for a friendly, non-judgmental gym to get a light work out in on my rest day. I train boxing and Muay Thai regularly and today I just wanted something a little easier. I was told Planet Fitness is welcoming to all types of people and will not judge you.

Actually they were very judgmental. The signs everywhere said "no grunting". I simply wanted to get a work out in and mind my own business. I felt unwelcome and judged.

A very disgusting and hypocritical establishment that I will never visit again.

I took a ride across the river over this past weekend to check out this PF location. I usually frequent the closer location to my home.
I have to say, this location is so much nicer and has the desired leg and ab equipment that my usual PF does not have anymore. I will be stopping in to use this facility more often. Super clean and the staff is very friendly!
