Lately all of the gyms in the Conshohocken, Philadelphia, Flourtown, Wyncote areas have been closing earlier and earlier. The one reason we all signed up was for the 24 hr service. The prices have sky rocketed and the late fees are ridiculous if you keep your card locked for safety and you must pay debit with no option for auto ACH. Online it says 24 hrs yet they just turned the lights of at 11pm at Conshocken. Same at Flourtown and still.advertising 24 hrs. False advertising and poor service. I'm looking for another gym.

There's a group of people that follow me each time I switch gyms they follow me harass me. Take my picture and make up lies so I have my own pictures now the ones following me I feel threatened by these cult people, I also complain to one of your staff members about someone harassing my wife. She did nothing about it. Please do something about your establishment security.

For the people complaining about the dismissal of the recent staff, while yes they were nice, they were inept in their skills and only adept at greetings in the front. While a hello and have a nice day is well and great, there would always be a group of them in the front and the rest of the gym would be dirty and unkept. I asked for an extra hand sanitizer to be brought over to where the steppers are (a no brainer ask) and you’d have thought I was asking for the earth to move. When a staff is let go collectively like this, there’s usually a reason for it and I surmise the cleanliness and quality of the club is numero uno as to their dismissal.

While yes, I agree that the new staff is not as friendly, they are 100 X’s more efficient. I’ve seen them cleaning machines, having people in to fix things, etc.

I dock this club a point because the owner of Planet Fitness (I’ve come to find out this man/group owns multiple PF’s) should be less penny wise and pound foolish and spend money to clean the bathrooms and locker rooms. That shouldn’t be put on a staff. That should be 1000% put on a commercial cleaning company. Spend the extra money to get this done and I can promise you the reviews of this club and other PF’s will skyrocket.

Update: Since this review, they let go of some of the people I mentioned above who were really good and it’s now an even more unfriendly staff but this staff doesn’t do nearly as much as last one who replaced the summer 2024 crew. Not sure this overall franchise understands how really good they could be if they got a commercial cleaning company in and paid the money to keep it clean. See a lot of people wearing masks when I go in there and I think it’s because they feel that it’s not as clean as it needs to be there.

I never had a bad experience at this gym but today I had a very unpleasant one with the girl at the front desk. I Said hi and that I needed a massage chair, she flat out ignored me and kept looking down so I had to ask the other employee at the front desk for the massage chair. I made a comment to the girl I said that was pretty rude that you ignored me and she continued to ignore me. Even worse she had a sarcastic smile on her face after I said that, I don't understand how people like that even have a job to be honest, I'm a business owner myself and would never do that to my customers that was disgraceful what she did. Don't know her name but today's date is Tuesday February 18 at 9:24 in the evening. Very unhappy with customer service at this location. I hope this problem is resolved because I will no longer be coming to this location because of this interaction.

Stopped in to join and arrange trainer TO SHOW ME HOW TO USE MACHINES AND OROPER POSITIONING OF SEATS.
Was TOLD NO TRAINERS AVAILABLE. Asked who co I ld show me how to use machines I had no experience with.
Was told to walk around. Machines had pictures on them.
No help, no instructions..Did not join. Only one person at desk. No tour of facility, lockers, etc?

I rejoined PF today , initially was going to sign up for the Classic membership, but after considering the $59 vs $1 startup fee, I chose the Black Card membership. Advertised online, both memberships offer "Free In-Club Fitness Training" - "With our certified fitness trainers you can take a small group fitness class, learn about our extensive range of cardio and strength machines, or create a customized workout plan. It’s all free!"

My main reason for returning to PF was to enhance my fitness routine, by adding cardio and strength equipment AND free fitness training.

After completing the new membership process, with Asst. Manager Daniel, I asked for a copy of the schedule for the training classes and Daniel informed me that Flourtown did not have a trainer and hadn't had one for over 3 yeas! At first, I felt like I was being punked! I was in shocked that the very service I was interested in was no longer being offered, as advertised. Daniel was somewhat apologetic, but ultimately turned and walked away, leaving me astonished at the situation.

Before arriving in person, I had unsuccessfully tried to sign up online (laptop) and on the PF App, and both methods failed - I never got to the agreement page and the membership wasn't initiated. When I informed Daniel about this, his suggestion was to try the App again and start over. I had to insist that he process the membership on PF's system and it took about 15 minutes for him to key in my personal data.

This was an extremely unpleasant experience and the sad part is, I can imagine nothing will change and no one will be held accountable for the misrepresentation of advertised services.

Hopefully, the Chrissy, the Manager will contact me.

I understand that I may have to come in there but due to my state right now where I had a stroke and unable to drive or sign anything I can’t come in, Vanessa was very rude. Super disappointed with this gym. I used to feel so welcomed and special with the staff, specifically Chris, Bridget and Love. They kept the gym in a clean condition, always greeted me with a smile, and asked how I was genuinely wanting to have a conversation with me. I loved coming there. I am outrage over the recent dismissal of nearly the entire staff at this location, including Chris and Bridget. I have been a member of this location for several years, often bringing friends along, and have built strong relationships with the staff. They consistently created a welcoming and safe environment, demonstrating professionalism and skill in handling conflicts and emergencies. There were never any issues with the gym itself; it was always clean and well-maintained. Their dedication was a primary reason why I, and many others, continued to work out there.

Hearing about this unjust issue is not only disheartening but infuriating, especially considering that the general population of this gym know that these individuals are incapable of the errors that would warrant such drastic action.

I have now switched locations and will not be returning to the Flourtown PF. The new staff lacks the professionalism and warmth that made my experience enjoyable, and their dismissive attitudes are disappointing. It’s a CLEAR shift in the good vibes that this gym once carried because of amazing staff members like Chris, Bridget, and everyone else.

Crucially, Planet Fitness Corporate needs to reevaluate how their REGIONAL staff interact with and assess the gym personnel. Decisions should be made based on FACTS, TRUTH and POLICY, not PERSONAL vendettas, EGOS, or POWER imbalance. What has transpired here is corporate abuse and a complete defamation of character against dedicated employees who worked tirelessly to maintain the gym’s success.

As a member of the Flourtown community, I am genuinely upset by this situation. This is unacceptable, and I will not be returning to this location.

Went into the Flourtown location today and was very disappointed. I have been a member for years. I originally signed up at Germantown , when going to Flourtown the staff was so welcoming. Chris the general manager greeted me I felt so welcomed. Love at the front desk offered to transfer my membership after my workout. I have never been so welcomed. My second visit I was greeted by Bridget, she remembered my name along with Love and Chris remembering my name. I went into today and no one was there. The lady at the front desk didn’t even say hello or speak to me. The women’s room was very dirty and I was not happy at all. I am thinking of returning to Germantown and seeing how things go there if things don’t go well I will be canceling with Planet Fitness.

I have been a long time member of Flourtown and have seen the club go through amazing changes. Management (Chris & Bridget) were able to keep staff who cared about the members and the club.

I went in recently to find out almost the entire staff was fired/dismissed.

This location has ALWAYS had friendly staff who cared about everyone’s general well being. Now there are people from other clubs who aren’t even checking in members and are downright rude.

I’m definitely NOT renewing at this location.

Staff was good but in general they have bad equipment, mostly machines which is expected of a planet fitness would love to see more free weights. The music is terrible feels like I stepped back into 2014 BRING HEADPHONES if you dont want to listen to scrillex and fergalicous during your workout. Lastly and probably the worst thing is they love to set off the lunk alarm every 5 minutes before closing which is very irritating, however a gym is a gym.

Planet Fitness offers so much for the money. Tons of ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes, so even during peak hours, I don't have to wait. Love all the weight machines for arms/shoulders, legs, back, and abs. Everything is updated. Always clean. Staff is friendly. I even splurged and got the Black Card membership, because I really enjoy the added amenities of the Total Body Enhancement and Hydromassage. Also included is tanning and a new hybrid light, which I haven't used yet. My time spent at Planet Fitness is my little escape during the day and I really look forward to it..

Large Selection of weightlifting and cardio equipment. Very clean. Recent Renovation improved a lot, including the locker rooms and restrooms. Nice staff. Only negative thing is their HVAC system. Front of the club tends to be warm and very humid (condensation on windows a number of Times I was there ). One day it was sweltering hot. On Friday, February 2 there was a distinct odor upon walking into the club. Staff continually says they’re working on the HVAC but it still does not appear to be fixed.

Good place, mostly. -1 star because they sealed out the treadmills and new new ones don't allow you to program your own intervals and the presets are comically bad. No one walks at 1.5 mph for exercise. -1 more star because free bird plays on the radio at least twice every time i work out and no one seems to be able to do anything about it.

The facility is kept visibly clean. Whatever training you are giving to your staff is great as they all seem very pleasant and friendly without the Front Desk attitudes that you find in some of the other types of gym facilities. Believe me that goes a long way in terms of customer service. It puts you into a pleasant mood for beginning a workout. Now of course this varies from site to site. There is one location in particular that I go to with my Black card membership which is not where my membership was placed that has kept going to most of the time. I love that particular site best among the many locations that I have visited because of the pleasantness. That training needs to be universal for all the sites.

The one thing that I do not like is the new paper towel dispenser. Those paper towels are too thin and they tear up too easily. As they deteriorate from the liquid cleansers while using them, they fall apart and fall on the floor creating a mess around the work area. The thicker ones you previously used were better. Can you put them into the dispenser instead of the new ones? It might be more economical for you in the long run. When that happens, hopefully I can give a five-star rating.

Planet fitness is pretty good for the price. However, at this location I notice it's very common for equipment to be out of order, as if it isn't maintained properly. Recently, the pec fly machines were each out of order for over a month each. I also noticed missing bolts on these machines, even after they were "fixed". I also was less than pleased with the several months that the gym was under renovation when equipment was unavailable.

My favorite gym ever! I love that it's open 24 hours and newly renovated with new equipment, not to mention the state of the art massage chair that I call "Dexter"! Also, I'm especially happy that they did not get rid of the original Arc cardio machines. Thank you thank you! The staff are very friendly as well. My only complaint would be to get rid of the tootsie rolls, donuts, and Pizza...that's the last thing members like me need is fattening temptation when I'm trying to get fit and healthy.

Such a great environment at this gym. Pleasant staff, cleanliness, & very spacious. There is much room for activities from jump roping to just the traditional bench exercises. I never feel like my workout is disrupted.
