Had a lovely encounter with one of the members at this gym. I turned around because I had thought he said something to me, and he starts screaming at me and flipping out for no good reason, the staff saw the whole thing and did nothing about it. I decided to cancel my membership because I will not be treated like that, especially for no good reason. I went to cancel, and the staff member said, "Its not because of what happened earlier is it." It was as though it was no big deal to them. I explained and they just said "Ok" didn't even apologize for my experience. And this isn't the first time I've been disrespected in this gym either. If you want a place that is accepting and good to go to this place ain't it.

There's not very many people there. I really enjoyed it. It was the first time I went there for quite a while. I went with my brother because he has a black card and can bring a guest for free. It is well worth it if you have a partner to go with. You only have to have one membership. There were plenty of machines open and all the machines were in good order. I enjoyed it very much. I may join.

Very clean gym with friendly staff. However, for as much traffic as this place gets at certain times of day, it is relatively small. I know that the Crowd Meter is a great resource, but as a busy working professional it's a little disappointing to often go after work and struggle to find a machine or a bench in the free weights section consistent with my planned workout.

I love leaving positive reviews, but this gym is the worst I've ever been to. Incredibly dusty, disorganized, and it smells bad! GOOD LUCK trying to cancel your membership if you move out of state or to an area where there are no PF's. I tried to cancel my membership by sending a letter via snail mail to my home gym (how ridiculous, btw) and IT WAS IGNORED. I've been paying a membership for months that I thought was cancelled. DO NOT begin a membership here-- biggest scam ever. With the predatory & disgusting policies they use to gouge once-loyal customers, Planet Fitness should be ashamed. If their service was that good, they wouldn't need to prey on people for a few extra bucks a month.

So this is my home gym and it is my favorite location. Despite it being smaller than some other locations, it is clean, the staff is friendly and quite attentive (with extra props to the night crew who have to juggle cleaning with customer service), and the equipment is in (very) good working order as compared to other locations. I also just love the shape and layout of the gym. Everything is simple to find which makes it easy to plan my workout order. There are not lay down tanning beds, which is not optimal, however the booths that they have are very frequently fitted with new bulbs, so they are super effective and are only 9 minute efficiency booths, which is awesome for my time management. The massage chairs are each in private rooms that are impossible to just peek in on without being real obvious so you can relax for that too. The locker rooms are spacious and provide plenty of privacy if you prefer this.

I will make one complaint, however. When waiting for a tanning bed to open up during peak hours, it has frequently occurred that I am forgotten about by staff. This happened to me again today and what was worse than being forgotten about was that the staff would not own up to this. Instead of taking accountability for it, they blamed the computer, saying it kicked me off the queue.... but when i tried logging back in, it said I already tanned.... pretty sure the person who had just walked in the door and right into the booth that id been waiting for, was tanning on my account. I still got no apology, I was just told about how they couldn't stop the tanning bed because someone was in it.... I knew this, and I feel if the situation was handled with a little more transparency and humility, I wouldn't have been so upset.

I've had other issues with staff and the tanning beds during peak hours to include multiple incidents of staff knocking loudly on the door about a minute after the bed turned off as I was getting dressed, presumably to "see if I was okay." I feel like whatever system that is used for the minimum amount of tanning booths (3) you have there needs to be revamped or better organized so that staff does not have these issues. They are an otherwise friendly and welcoming and very helpful group of professionals that i enjoy interacting with.

It is a good value, and beginners like me can do basic workouts. I'm just getting back into the routine after a while. I like that there are weight machines with the pins so I can adjust weights easily. I have trouble lifting plates on and off bars. Gyms I have gone to in the past only had free weights, and people never removed the heavy plates after using them. This gym is good for me now, and it's a great place to start out or get back into working out.

Google asked for an update... is that a good idea? I mean, I've been paying gir a black card membership for YEARS. Recently, when I walked in to use the tanning beds or red light bed and I got handed a bottle of spray cleaner. Are you serious? I pay a ton for the maybe 1-2 visits a month that I actually have time for IF THAT. And IM expected to clean it? There is staff, just sitting there. So I go to the 4th tanning bed, and I see the bottom covered in different pubic hair, long head hair, etc. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THAT was disgusting. I spend my workday doing body assessments, etc. for patients, the last thing I want to do is walk in the one thing that makes me relax after a 12-16 hour day and clean up more than a days worth of other people's mess.
That was an embarrassment. If the inside of a tanning bed looks like that, dare I imagine what's on everything else?
DO BETTER. When staff are sitting there on their phones, they can be following up and cleaning beds because, obviously, making members do it themselves is failing.

Terrible experience here the manger Rob acts like an angry child. he is rude to paying customers and I witnessed some kid come in and Rob the manager started yelling at him and some other guy he was with what looked like a scan in miscommunication.

rob was very rude to me and told me to leave and threatened to call the police for a simple misunderstanding. the system was down i was ready to workout and had one headphone in and i thought he said to use the other scanner and after doing so he became super hostile and told me that i need to sign in the the paper. After i understood i apologized and politely told him that his tone of voice was somewhat rude, i begin to sign the paper to sign in and he grabs the papers and tells me i can leave the gym or he can call the police to have them escort me out. i was with my brother who has worked in customer service for years and he told Rob that you shouldn’t yell at paying customers over simple miscommunication. he agreed and became more hostile towards us both, acting like an angry child. my brother and I thought maybe he had a rough day and sympathized, but that is no excuse to treat paying customers poorly and threaten to call the police for simple not miscommunication over signing in.

This is a fairly nice gym. BUT... If you're trying to keep a routine of daily things to work on, it's very hard to do. Especially when it's crowded or you have people spending more time on Instagram than actually using the machine they are lounging on. That's the problem with free WiFi.

The other problem is misuse of equipment. I'm not one to go tell on people every time the wind blows the wrong way. If anything these people are only pushing for joint and muscle problems when they are older. Especially pushing the smith machine bar with your pelvis and stomach loaded with weights up n down. Other than these problems it's a decent place.

This location is so out date. All but 3 ellipticals just shake and wobble over 4mph. The locker rooms are always dirty which is as telling of the customer base as much as it is the employees responsible for their cleanliness. If you can manage it, I highly recommend LA Fitness if it's within your budget or even going to the Latrobe Planet Fitness location. Greensburg is just awful and needs an overhaul.

Just got yelled at and bullied by an 80 year old out of shape nurse who was mad because I had two more seconds on a machine she wanted to use. I'm disappointed the way the Planet fitness organization allows disabled vets to be treated. I know nothing will be said to this ignorant person, who other members have complained about. The acting manager did talk to me to offer ideas. However, at this time I want to resend my membership. I’ve grown to be very familiar with just about everyone in this gym I get along with everyone and everyone is chill asides from the manager he has cancelled my mebership before for accusing me of vaping whenever the group of kids next to me was vaping not to mention I see lots of people doing it I personally don’t bring my vape in ever because it’s not needed when working out he has put notes in saying things such as if I bring another miner in to cancel my membership for good I’ve tried to bring my younger cousin and one of my friends being 21. He’s a short guy and doesn’t look his age so I get it but the rude remarks and constant judging. My boyfriend and I were in town from California for a few days so we purchased day passes at this location. The facility is nice, not too crowded and everything was operable. But their rules were extreme and reminded me why I don’t like the PF franchise.

On day one I was filming my workout and the front desk girl walked up to me and asked if I was filming my workout. As if it were not obvious. She proceeded to tell me to be careful not to get any members in my videos and I explained to her that I had not. I was very surprised bc I’ve never had that happen to me in any gym.

Day two, I’m sitting on a bench in the dumbbell area and a different front desk girl walks up and ask if I had a lock for my bag, I said no, she then asked if u wanted to buy a lock I again said no. She explained to me that they don’t allow bags on the gym floor bc people have had their stuff stolen. I couldn’t understand how someone would walk up to my bag while I’m sitting next to it and steal it right in front of me, but that was her “explanation” my boyfriend let her know we are in town for a few days and she said she’d let it a slide but if her manager saw it he would mention it me again. Later in my workout I noticed a guy with a bag right in front of the desk at the cable machine and no one said anything to him.

Day three, I’m working out and see 2 people there with bags and I let the front desk girl know, and she went over and said something.

This bag rule is such an inconvenience especially if you have things you need during your workout like bands, attachments, weight belt, my book for during cardio and somewhere to safely store my phone. If someone’s going to steal something it’s going to happen in the locker room not on the gym floor.

Meanwhile on day 3 I left my bag in the car and thought how cluttered my space was, hanging my jacket on machine. Phone bulging out of my pocket and witnessing other people just have all their stuff on the floor looked messy and cluttered.

Overall I’m satisfied with this club. There’s a nice variety of equipment. When it’s really busy it can be hard to get on a weight machine because there’s only one or two of each. That’s to be expected though because it is not a huge space. But more often the biggest problem is the people who sit on machines scrolling through their phones. I saw one guy last night sitting on a machine watching videos! I wish there was a strict and enforced policy regarding phone usage in the club. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone sitting on a machine looking at their phone for 5 minutes or more. Make them move to the lobby.

I used to love this gym, but it's extremely difficult to get a good workout in anymore. I read a comment regarding the 'awesome upgrades that the gym was making during the time they were closed'...this was a lie. The equipment that they replaced their old, very functional equipment with is damned near unusable. 1/2 the treadmills are out of order. They removed the entire row of arc trainers - which were the best cardio equipment they had and ALWAYS in use. If, for some reason, it was believed that they were not, perhaps some actual work should have been done to determine what the paying customers wanted to continue to use.
The 'new' and broken equipment will stop tracking your workout, during your workout. This is true for the ellipticals and bikes (ie all that's left). They put in cheap, arc trainer knock offs, similar to a Precor, but absolutely not functional. The available movement sucks too...it's just an elliptical. The programs will just stop working - DURING your workout (for ALL equipment). So if you're actually tracking calories or miles, you cannot use the equipment at PF for cardio. It's like they got the cheapest Chinese garbage to replace the equipment that actually worked because someone in corporate signed a deal with the company responsible for the terrible programming.
I can tell you that LA fitness has been booming since PF decided to throw in cheap, nonfunctional equipment. Ive not Heard- one person say anything positive about the changes. In fact, I've never heard so much incredibly negative feedback from customers AND employees that are apparently completely ignored. It's a shame to see someone very clearly out of touch with the customers, have enough sway to destroy such a great, little gym.

In response to the reply below: why would I continue to do so when the club management has no authority or control over equipment selection or the garbage that was just dumped on site? Go visit yourself and take an inventory of machines that are out of order. The operating system in the cardio equipment is nonfunctional. The best equipment was completely removed from the club. Members have been complaining and leaving ever since. What is the club manager going to do when he has literally zero say over what goes into the club or leaves the club??

The staff at greensburg are super focused on the cleanliness of the gym. They also work hard to create a safe space for everyone to enjoy their workout. They listen to guests, keep the 30 min circuit lunk free, and make sure all the machines are in good working order.

The place is nice, clean, good equipment. Can't spend long enough in the tanning bed. I'm very dark, 9 minutes just doesn't do it. They tell you because it's State Law,...then why can I do 15 minutes in tanning salons? Are those beds governed by different State Laws?

Planet fitness in Greensburg is very clean and has great staff. All the machines and equipment are in great shape and lets you get a good workout. The only bad thing about it is how busy it gets after work. It can be tough to get equipment

Always enjoy going to Planet Fitness. I have the black card and go to Latrobe, Greensburg and North Huntingdon. Always get a good workout. Worth the money I pay.

Staff is friendly and helpful. I'd like to compliment Rob,the manager, for his efforts in navigating some very trying situations.

I would like to see the reduction in hours of operation addressed. The 7 a.m. start time on the weekends is inconvenient. Opening at 5 would allow those of us who work the weekends a more equivalent usage model.

I was up there last Friday to update my membership. The girl told me that my membership was in collections. I told her that I had called in November to have my membership froze because I was in the process of switching banks. So apparently they never froze my membership. My question is, how do I get my membership back out of collections? The girl told me that she would take my information and talk to her manager and call me back. I have not heard anything back from them yet. Also your phone number for this location is not working.
