Let me start by saying the staff at the one I go to is very friendly, very respectful, very helpful, and overall just great. The only downfall I have is that on the overnights there’s no male staff when the major majority of the over night visitors are male, I recently waited almost an hour to get into the male locker room due to the only overnight employee cleaning it and out of respect. After almost an hour and no longer being able to hold my bladder I finally had to go in. This is at no part a downfall of the staff but appears to be a major oversight in the hands of upper management. It’s also the only planet fitness in the area where there isn’t at least two staff members on the overnight and once again seems like an over sight by upper management

THE MANAGER DESERVES A RAISE! I almost never have time in my busy schedule to rate a place… every time I go in here the manager of the place is always having his workers clean the place and be respectful to its customers, on top of that, he always starts a conversation with me and is super respectful. They refuse to cancel memberships unless you physically show up at their gym to do so. There is no online process, and you can't do it over the phone. I moved away only to use another locations for years, and then when I ended up with a back injury in June and couldn't leave the house, so I had my account frozen to avoid being billed.

Sometime between July and August I called around between a few different locations I've used to have my membership canceled, and this location told me I had to write a letter to get them to cancel. I wrote it and sent in the mail. I called over a month later to double check, they told me they didn't receive the letter so I had to send another and had the billing freeze on my account extended. Apprently they didn't recieve the second letter either because I was charged a renewal fee near a month after that.

Called to complain and ask for refund. The manager Brandon canceled my membership didn't call to tell me so and I didn't find this out until I called again because my calls were not being returned. I called corporate ober a week ago, and this location again just today. The visiting manager from another location just told me that I will not be getting refunded for the membership renewal fee. Having to pull phone records to prove I tried to be as proactive as reasonably possible seems like a tedious task at this point but I've not been taken seriously and this location was unreasonable in assisting me with a reasonable request. Their cancelation policy is problematic for anyone who is unfortunate enough to become challenged in their mobility.

If I could give zero stars I would. Abby who answered the phone was unable to freeze my daughter’s membership. I was left on hold for over 15 minutes, was hung up by the general manager Stephanie. The staff was extremely rude obviously being led by this type of management. I’m still being charged after my daughter requested to have her membership frozen in person and over the phone. We will gladly join a new gym. There are so many great ones to choose from. Don’t waste your time or money. They refuse to let you cancel and will continue to charge your credit card.

It's truly a no judgement gym!! I'm a plus size woman and feel very comfortable going here without people starring or judging. That is very important for me to feel comfortable as I work towards achieving my fitness goals. Also the staff at the front desk are always very friendly and approachable if I ever have any questions.

I like the club, it’s got the equipment I need and open 24/7…. Except now it’s not. My advice to owners, return your hours to 24/7 not 24/4… you may be losing AT LEAST 1 member because of it and Planet Fitness is 24/7 by nature.

I have been an original member of this club for 5 years now paying over a $1000 for my membership in those years, even with it being only my secondary gym. My account has been charged for months without my consent bc of being injured and having no income. I had to open another account because of this that I have been paying for on top of them continueing to charge my 5 year membership account. Today a rude employee named Nicole denied and embarrassed me and my niece entrance and wouldn't allow me to talk to a manager to settle these issues. Everyone else there has been totally understanding about my situation and the managers have been awesome but this employee obviously has a personal vendetta against me to act this way for no reason at all. This isn't the first time the employee Nicole has singled me out and made me feel this way.

I'm very happy to not be a member of this club. After confirming during an in-person meeting at the club that my little boy could join me for occasional workouts, I joined with a family membership. Then when we came in later that day to work out, Alex publicly humiliated me after we were on the machines for a half hour by saying that my boy is too young and that people were complaining. How about training your staff on recruiting of new members? The lack of professionalism was profound. How fast do you think I dumped these turkeys.

The website says they have personal training and classes. When I went to the gym, they in fact do not have personal training or classes. I called to cancel my membership, but you have to actually go in person to cancel which is pretty inconvenient. I signed up online but can’t cancel online or even over the phone. Yes, the membership is cheap but you get what you pay for.

Truly a nice GYM. May not have a lot of weight selection as many other GYMs but for being able to come at any time of the day or night is a big plus. A true 24 hr GYM. I have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful staff members working at the front that know you from being a regular. Smile and courtesy goes a long way but must say today for the first time I felt angry at the tone and service received but will ignore it as everyone deserves a second chance . I hope the next time will be as it’s always been- the reason I come here and the reason I recommended this place. 5 star place but 1 star minus for the experience today.

This location was really nice and not too crowded. I was happy they had a large open area for use of mats/stretching etc. Only downside was they don't have an arm cycle nor barbells. I wish they had more weights in the lighter range as they only had a few sets that were in high demand. Given they had about what I'd expect from a PF, I'd say this one was pretty good. Staff was friendly too.

I’ve been coming to this planet fitness for a few years now. It’s well kept, clean, and staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, it seems as though the upkeep isn’t staying consistent. For a few months now, the mats that are used for stretching or ab workouts, have had their holding bars broken. Additionally, some staff that they have hired give tanning beds and other amenities away to the newest person to sign up/ask for them, even when other patrons have been waiting to use them. Recently I signed up to use the stand up tanning bed and was told there was a 3-5 minute wait, so I sat in the waiting area, where the front desk could see me. After 10 minutes, no one came to tell me a bed was ready and instantly gave my bed away. I hope these issues get resolved.

I took a hiatus from exercise due to back to back shoulder surgeries and had high anxiety about returning to a gym. I've only gone twice since joining recently and all three staff members I've encountered have been extremely kind and welcoming: Kevin, a slightly older woman and a younger man who I didn't get their names. The employees are always working hard and they definitely put my anxiety to rest. I'm excited to be back on my fitness journey and eventually a better me. The staff at planet fitness at this location tirelessly works around the clock to make sure that the equipment is clean and dirt is removed. Within the winter months in that area salt is thrown extremely liberally and it is never seen when it is tracked into the building. The general manager is always working and wiping off equipment and treadmills. I love working out here!!!

Overall I love this gym as it’s very local to my home. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the cardio equipment needs to be replaced badly. I have belonged to many gyms in the past including other Planet Fitness in Clifton, NJ. This planet fitness in Hampton Township is best. The place is always clean and the staff is so friendly. This place was my 1st gym experience many years ago, and today it remains my one & only ever gym I will go to. I love the employees, regardless of location. I've never felt laughed or stared at, or judged. Every option is available for any workout and/or light stretching/yoga. Theres tanning & hydro massage beds. 💆‍♀️ Free weights & resistance weight chairs designed to work on different parts of your body with the option to change preferred amount of weight, & several different options for cardio. Planet Fitness really IS a little planet of fitness! Lol And Im so happy I decided to walk into that building many many moons ago. ❤

HORRIBLE!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could... Just updated my review after my last experience at this place.. I watched numerous times of a front desk employee being very disrespectful and rude to younger teenagers and kids. You would not believe some of the comments come out of this "man's" mouth if I told you. For one who has such a horrid tone to his voice when he talks; almost like he hates to be there and takes his aggression out on you. I heard him the other day make up fake policy rules to this younger teen girl and what looked like he kicked him out. My concern is how can you hire someone like this who hates their life or job. I have cancelled my membership as soon as I heard this treatment to their members. Absolutely ridiculous the employee name was Will I will NEVER COME BACK to this place until action is taken

(Hampton Gym) I just canceled my black card membership. The staff was always nice and understanding except for Will. He usually works in the evening after 10 o’clock. I have had talks with several employees about not being comfortable going back into a tanning bed alone. The doors lock and there are no cameras obviously, so to me I don’t feel safe going back by myself. Whenever I had these talks with other employees they understood completely and let my boyfriend come back with me to sit there with me. However, Will would not understand this and argue with me constantly about it. Tonight was my last straw. I was in the tanning bed like normally with my boyfriend sitting with me on the ground and the tanning bed turned off. So I proceeded to call the front desk and tell them. Of course Will answered the phone and told me “Well tell your boyfriend to come out and I’ll turn it back on.” (Will was not even there when we went back to the room) I got dressed, went out and tried to talk to him. Instantly he got rude and snappy. He was always rude to me to begin with. He is only nice to the older women and I have seen him being rude to other younger girls such as myself. I am beyond upset that Will couldn’t respect my wishes like everyone else has with no questions asked. For this reason I canceled my membership because of this constant harassment. I don’t feel it’s a judge free zone with him being there and being disrespectful to younger teens.

Loses a star for having no free weights. I don't understand the connection between being "a lunkhead" and providing free weights. Makes it hard to bench, squat, and deadlift without them. Update: Wanted to cancel as another gym with free weights was opening nearby. Had to go in during the day and talk to someone to do so. Can't cancel online or via phone. I was still charged the next year's extra fee after I cancelled. Moved to 2 stars.
