Awesome. I just moved in to town and Hazleton doesn’t have much option for gym. Thank God that there’s a planet fitness in the area. The staff is amazing; helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and easy to interact with. They are constantly walking around the gym wiping and organizing the machines and racks. All the machines and accessories are in good maintenance. And about crowd control, you just need to know the best time to go. Overall, great experience every time I go.

As someone who travels the whole country for work, this gym in Hazleton has got to be the worst. I swear the crowd meter is manipulated because its always busy when it says it isn't. Today I went in at 10am. It was packed, and the staff has pretty much all of the treadmills up to clean underneath, and the rest were in use. Seems like a bad time...

First time I see an open planet fitness with out walls dividing. I liked that but only think I don’t like it’s they need new water fountings they are discusting and ceiling fan. The fans on the wall just ain’t good enough It needs better air quality!

Hi my experience at planet fitness is been horrible sense I start going over there to do my work out why am expressing this way because one of they employer been harassing me verbally and I get to talk to they customer service representative and manager about it and I call they attenction so they can address this situation well it got out of control management and customer service never gets to addressed this problem with the employer she be talking about me nearly 7 month saying negatively stuff and I don't know what to do can someone help me with this to see if I can get and attorney...........

Traveling around the US and have visited 30 PFs in two months. This is one of the best! Large facility with equipment that was spaced out so it never felt crowded. The functional exercise area had lots of space to stretch and unlike most, it actually had a ceiling fan to get airflow. Rowing machines had water resistance and not the crappy magnetic resistance so the motion was much more fluid. Showers were great. Facility was clean and staff was helpful. 5 stars!!

This week when I asked the front desk worker to refill the several paper towel dispensers that were empty, they replied I will do it in about an hour or so. @PlanetFitness can you explain how this is your policy or best practice. Why do you only allow workers to replenish needed supplies to keep the equipment clean at specific times of the day? Note, there were 2 employees working so it would not have comprised the front desk coverage for one of them to replace the empty paper towels.

This gym usto be excellent unfortunately staff is changed and so have the people that come to it. Dedicated people who come every single day or singled out because they’re working harder than individuals playing on their cell phones. Newer staff members think they own the place I assume as one of them set the alarm off on me because my feet were falling too heavy while I was sprinting. The facility is open 24/5 after Covid ended, I question asked why they were not open 24 seven they stated for thorough cleaning on the weekends. However, thorough cleaning does not go on during the weekends and often little to know Cleaning goes on during the weekends. The staff shows up 10 to 15 minutes before they open the doors and the locker rooms are always disgusting first thing in the morning. The people that work during the week do a much better job the weekend. Staff is absolutely terrible and the place is often disgusting. So much so that small roaches have been seen in the locker rooms.

Again, this place used to be a place to go to to relax to work out for the staff was friendly and encourage people to work out hard and get games. Unfortunately, now it’s a cesspool of people that just wanna text on their phones employees that want to do bare minimum, and have to suffer and deal with the facility .

And just yesterday, my membership black card membership of over five years was canceled by one of the employees who clearly think they own the place. I wasn’t in the facility. I didn’t cause any issues in the facility. They simply said they seen something on my social media. Trolling members, social medias and distinguishing the accounts.

I was going to the gym every single day every day for years and when I got to call yesterday that my account was canceled it did hurt, but I was not willing to fight with the person on the phone because why would I fight with somebody to continue working out in a filthy place where people just wanna hang out and employees wanna act like they are the owners

I went to this club over college break due to being home. When I went in-person to cancel they said it was and gave me a cancellation receipt. Two months later I noticed I was still being charged, thought it was cancelled, I called and emailed the proof of cancellation receipt and was emailed that they would refund and cancel my membership. A month later I am still getting charged and my membership is still active. The club itself was nice but the cancellation process has been ridiculous and unprofessional. Please be aware of this when you join this club that your membership may not be cancelled because as of now mine is still not almost 3 months after I cancelled it in-person.

The places croud meter is patheticly innacurate. The app might say 3/10 and when you arrive you need to park super far away bc every single parking spot is full and when you walk in almost every machine is taken up and 80-90% of cardio machines. Doesnt sound like 30% full to me.

Also the locker rooms can be pretty messy but thats not as big of a deal to me. I just hate crowds and if you do too dont go here because you will never know how bad it is till your here

So the last time I reviewed PF in Hazleton I gave it two-stars. There are definitely improvements to the welcoming staff and the cleanliness. The bathroom is not great and could be cleaned up more often especially when they're not busy.
One of the massage chairs are broken and the TV should be muted.
It would be nice to have free Wi-Fi like the other gyms in the county but, that's why I'm giving it three stars.

The gym is clean and equipment is good but please for the love of god put a time limit on the smith machines during peak hours. There’s always a ton of people doing their entire workout with 3 other people on the smith machines making it nearly impossible to grab one for most hours that the gym is open.

Very big. Only thing I wished PB as a chain worked with the local community some more. Like participate in local events or setting their own events for local activities. So much potential. Heck even allowing a community board would boost in working with the local economy than purely only trying to compete. Sense it lacks community awareness for sure. And I know it’s purely cause of the corporate mentality giant behind it. But if they did increase the working together with local communities, in the long run it will boost PB’s financials in my opinion.

Gym is always packed. It says “Open 24/5” right on the door window decal, and it is in fact NOT open 24/5. Other members always put the weights back out of order. Only good decent thing to expect from this gym is the Staff is friendly and they clean well.

Locker rooms are always flooded with standing water and there is no attempt by staff to mop up the floors. From the locker rooms to the bathroom stalls. You can’t change unless you are literally standing on the locker room benches.

Hydro beds have a real bad smell like mold or mildew everytime they are activated. They are most likely in need of a deep cleaning to disinfect the mildew.

Maintenance turn time is pretty slow when equipment is broke or defective. Typically expect things to be repaired between 4-6 wks as opposed to the other PF’s located in the region.

This location’s team does a really good job at maintaining gym cleanliness. Recently, this site has been undergoing building maintenance with roof leaks, broken equipment, and other base building related issues (most likely due to age of building + high volume of gym member use). However, they still cultivate a safe, clean, and friendly gym environment. Their efforts are plausible to say the least and I definitely enjoy going to this PF location.

Went in January. Was billed $10+ for basic membership. Next month I was billed another $53 and told this was a annual start up fee and it is included in enrollment and will come out annually. Someone stole my bookbag and I had to get all new cards. I want in give them that Information and then then immediately whacked me again for another $50 and called it the same thing. No record of this in their billing though. I'm tired of big chains that hire greedy, thieving people. Truly you make enough money. Try caring about someone else like how bad y'all messed my entire day up and bank account doing this. Your enrollment fee and your "annual fee" are the same thing actually. STOP STEALING!!!!! A gym is a gym in most cases. I go once a day every day just to walk on the treadmill and do small weight training. My company provides money back for gym memberships but I didn’t get a receipt because I didn’t realize I could get reimbursed until October. So I went to the desk and asked for a receipt for every month and they gladly provided me the receipt from January all the way up to October without questions asked and I didn’t feel like I was putting them out they made it very easy, I wish all sales associates and workers were as helpful. These people were they were fantastic.

After month of going to this gym with my teen daughter one day they incompetent teen clerk at the front desk decided it was time to ask once again for a proof age and started discriminating my daughter saying she looks a little too young to be let in, i asked to speak to the manager and she went to get Dominic and on top of what i had just gone through with the clerk the first thing Dominic said was if i even understood English. after that i just had enough and asked to have my membership cancelled. The gym has good equipment and it can be a litlle crowded at times but management is the worst (allways willing to discriminate based on looks)

Varias cosas, las personas creen que las máquinas son para ellos, es decir puedes ver una persona utilizando 2 máquinas al mismo tiempo o asta situaciones en el que te dicen “Oh el la estaba esperando primero” y claramente ves que que esa persona que estaba “esperando” es un amigo que acaba de llegar. Y lo que hizo que cancelara mi suscripción fue que yo con mi amigo a ir a tomar una máquina que está claramente vacía es decir lo que hacen todos los que van al gym es si por una razón tienen que dejar la máquina por unos segundos dejan algo como su botella de agua, guantes.. por lo que cuando fuimos a tomar la se nos acerca un hombre a decirnos que el ya la estaba usando por lo que yo le digo “no veo que dejado tus cosas a qui” (de que otra forma voy a saber que esa máquina está en uso?) por lo que este hombre se me acerca y me dice “what’s up?” Y Mira a mi amigo y le dice lo mismo. La razón por la que es muy importante dejar algo para que otras personas sepan que ya estás ahí es porque imagina que estás usando una máquina por unos segundos y llega alguien a decirte que el la estaba usando como sabes tu ? Que eso es verdad ? Por lo que voy aquejarme con el staff y la respuesta que recibió es “esta bien si vuelve a pasar déjanos saber” ni siquiera el staff vio quien era la persona por la que me quejaba es decir en otras palabras el staff me dijo si el hombre te golpea o te empuja o te agrede ahí si aremos algo. Fue una experiencia totalmente desagradable. Actualización 8/15 apesar de que por fuera parase que están interesados solucionarlo literalmente solo respondieron este comentario para dar a entender que se preocupan

They pick and choose which teens to allow in by appearance the Spanish lady that's there at night July 12 1030pm asked me for birth certificates meanwhile there are kids that go to the gym that aren't even 10 but since they "appear" that age it's "ok" seems very discriminatory!! Im sure they are aware that some 10 yr Olds look 13 while other 13 yr Olds look 10... I feel if they are going to request "birth certificates" it should be asked from everyone nit just some!! But there's always a Karen somewhere 🙄 I want to add that me and my teens been coming since the summer started and now after months they want to ask for identification on kids!!
