The Millersville Pike Planet Fitness is my home club and my favorite PF location by far and it is the staff and members who make it so. The facility is always kept clean despite the amount of traffic and types of activity the place sees. I always receive a cheerful greeting from staff, regardless of whether I encounter them at the front desk or elsewhere in the gym.

I’ve been training with Jay, the trainer here, for more than a couple of years now and it’s been wonderful. He consistently prioritizes safety and monitors my form. I’m working against self-image and my own perception of my capabilities, and I am amazed at the patience he has shown me. He looks out for me like nobody else in my life, and it really helps me cope.

The GM, Hannah, works tirelessly to keep things running smoothly, but always retains a cheery demeanor and a sense of humor. I worked in food service/retail/customer service most of my life and I can only guess at the types of behavior she is subjected to in her role, but you’d never know it from the way she approaches each day.

For brevity’s sake I won’t mention all the names (it truly is all of the staff) but everyone on staff and most of the members always brighten my day when I encounter them. It makes me feel welcome and safe when I wouldn’t otherwise. I didn’t join a gym with the expectation of making friends, but it really feels as if that is what has happened. Thank you Millersville Pike Planet Fitness!

You get what you pay for.

Only chose this gym because it was close and I don't have any others in the area. I was a nationally certified, NASM, NSCA, AAAI, personal trainer for 15 years and have been in the gym exercising for 25 recently taking the last 3 years off and gaining weight, ugh. I've been a part of Multiple high-end gyms over the years and even some almost backyard gyms which were still fantastic.

Never wanted to be in a cookie cutter gym like this but unfortunately because of location I went against my better judgment. Because of the reputation there aren't too many options in terms of free weights and multiple different types of equipment. No seated calf, one stiff legged calf raise that somehow is always broke. No free squat but they do have about five Smith machines (One of these should be a cage). No benches for a press. No preacher. No bars to add weight to.

Treadmills are all new though and both cardio rooms are fairly large with TVs and up-to-date equipment. They do have a variety of equipment and the gym is pretty big with two floors but it's multiples of the same exact equipment. Typically when switching brand names on equipment you get different angles and different types of say a pull down machine but all of these are exactly the same.

Like all gyms of this type, around this time of year they get extremely packed with people who think they're going to see a lot of change by showing up, talking and sitting on the equipment while texting friends. Definitely need to go in the off hours.

Another reason I chose the gym was because I could get up in the morning go to the gym shower and then go straight to work. First off the showers are extremely small, while I am a large person, you have to push the curtains all the way to the edge so you don't constantly touch them and I'm sure you understand how disgusting they are. With that being said there are four showers in total for the hundreds of people that seem to go there. After 3 months of being there 5 days a week showering everyday, two of the showers have shut down and are being renovated. The best part of all when asked when these would be fixed I was told it should be by the end of the year lol. It's March 13th. Might as well have said we'll get to it when we get to it.

If your first time gym goer or going to the gym is a social event while getting a little exercise then then this definitely is the place for you. People seem very friendly and nice and the staff is also very friendly and nice. But if you are serious about getting to the gym to get a good workout and go home with multiple avenues and types of equipment that is not as crowded you will definitely need to seek a more expensive gym.

Last thought just keep in mind if you purchase a one-year membership all at once no one can seem to figure out how to upgrade you If you ever did want to go to say the black card membership. You would think the gym would look for more avenues to generate income for those who would like to upgrade but I was told after asking three different people that I would just have to pay for that particular month by itself in full after I have already technically paid for that month, makes no sense. Once you buy the full membership you cannot upgrade the rest of your year at least from what I was told from multiple people. They say go on the app but when you go on the app it then tells you to call the local planet fitness.

*Edit..... Sam the manager was more than helpful in eventually getting me upgraded to the black card. When you pay for the whole year all at once you can't really go back and upgrade as the black card is not an all-in-one option. You do have to pay month to month but lu he was able to maneuver a few things to get that straightened out so I could move up.

Edit 2: Aug 2025. The gym has since been completely renovated. Everything looks clean and new.

Had a bike tire problem, so i couldn't get to my home gym, so i called for rides for an upper body and lower body day here, almost sad i fixed up my bmx and have to return to my home PF lol, i love the options they give you like a barbell preacher curl which i never seen in any other PF ive been to, only problems i had was i couldn't find a mag grip attachment for lat pulldowns anywhere, and there was no shoulder raise machine but dumbells work just fine so im cool with that. Lighting is decent too if ya wanna check your pump. I would avoid the vending machines tho, they charge a dollar just to open it so you'd be paying 4.25 just for a protein bar so dont do something as stupid as me lol.

I love the renovations! The gym prior to the renovations was depressing due to the lighting and extremely outdated design. The renovations have truly transformed the gym and makes me look forward to going. It’s all one floor now, but still very spacious with different sections. The lighting also has influenced the drastic change along with the windows. Thank you for this much needed change, definitely one of the nicest PF gyms I’ve been to and I’m thankful it’s nearby!

I hate to post negative reviews but honestly, to quote Bette Davis in the movies,"What a dump!"
Rooms were padlocked and cordoned off and machines were very cramped and crowded. There is much less cardio than many of the other clubs and the place was just run down. It was so clearly inferior to the other clubs of this brand I have visited in Lancaster County. The silver lining is that I do understand it will be undergoing renovations, and I hope the renovations are significant because it really needs a lot of work.

Don’t create a subscription here there is no way for you to cancel your subscription only in person not only that but if you have no possible way of getting there your out of luck and in planet fitness debt they charge you over and over again and say you owe money even though you told them you couldn’t get there and also if your not even using they stuff, they have nothing there your better of going to another fitness center this is the worst place to ever go and everything is dirty and they say all that about a subscription but put they gyms in the corner of the the earth that’s untouched (Exaggeration) they don’t make none of that clear on the website not even in person not even when your paying, they don’t even say it in there policies but yet it’s a policy.

Aside from the location this place is an absolute dump & I'm thoroughly convinced that management & the owner don't care because it's the facility serves the inner city the most. The building has literal cracks and splits running up & down the walls, the facility hasn't had a deep clean in what looks like years, the bathrooms/locker rooms.... absolutely DISGUSTING. The potential for this facility is fantastic but management and the owner clearly don't give a damn.

Everything is old!, ALL of the workout equipment is old and It needs to be updated especially the lockers, they are rusty, bent and dirty. It doesn’t feel like a gym workout, it feels more like being in a warehouse. For the price charged, this location is not worth the price , Is nasty and very dusty and holds 🕳 in the ceiling dirty vents it is not a suitable workout environment. Now I understand why it is always empty without members I use to go there but I cancel my membership because the place is filthy and dirty and very dusty I wouldn’t recommend that place I gave it one star because I had no choice Because in really I WOULD HAVE GAVE IT “0- STAR 👎🏽👎🏽 Down for me..

But this is an odd PF... it's renovated in a former 90's gym and not your typical new and updated gym. Had an adventure navigating the labyrinth setup to find the basement bathrooms. Apparently there's a pool down there but I only found the sauna.

I recently became a member (Black) after being away for a few years. I’m a personal trainer and strength coach (for over a decade) and actually own my own private gym for training my clients. I joined PF bc doing my own personal training at my gym I get distracted too easily with doing other things besides working out. So going to PF allows me to get a decent workout in without distractions. Overall the place is clean and staff is friendly. I train primarily with DBs at PF and at my gym I have a complete arsenal of free weights and tons of functional equipment.
Big plus is, I’m only one mile from my residence to PF.
Plus owning and operating my own gym has its expenses so the fees at PF make having access to another option is great

Just moved back to TX after being gone a year. In that year, I have traveled and moved several times. Nichole Ross and Allie were unbelievably VERY HELPFUL. All I could remember is that was my last location before relocating to TX. They helped me over the phone, so that my new place could find me and set me as their location. Just another reason why we want to move to PA permanently. Customer service there is incredible. Step it up TX! Only thing bigger in TX is the number of UNHELPFUL people. PA, y'all rock!

This is the strangest PF I've ever been too....the architects definitely had their work cut out for them. Multi-level cavernous Halls going to the bathrooms tanning booth tucked into every closet they could make. But the place was clean including the showers with plenty of hot water....once I got to the showers! Very friendly staff. Only 1.6 miles from the convention center so it's convenient if you're work brings you downtown.

The staff was rude and didn't believe me when I stated my nephews age when he came to come train with me. I was worried for his safety when I took him into the restroom and he was sent off alone by one of the staff members. The way she spoke to him was rude and the restroom wasn't clean. If it weren't for other good locatind, I'd drop this membership very quickly.

I haven't had a problem with the gym. Its very comfortable and there's actually a lot to do and they offer a lot. The only problem I have is it says 18+ go there but I know for sure there's also kids running around there. So being more strict on that would be nice. Somebody could get hurt. What's in this gym kids cannot be in there. Other then that this gym is great! Black Card membership is amazing!

One of the more wanting planet fitnesses I've been to in pennsylvania. No total body enhancement no hydro massage tanning beds are dated as well. It is sad that this is the only one that's open 24 hours in this area. Showers are stained with mildew. So upset I worked out here. I travel daily. Never hope to have to come to this one ever again. I'll forgive them that the space is unpleasant, it's good that we reuse old buildings. The problem is that no one was wearing masks. There was a notice at the door and the two staff at the front desks wore masks, but in the exercise rooms, most people were breathing heavily in small spaces with no masks. It is not a safe space.
