It's small. Nothing like it was in port. Lost so many machines. They claim no judgement but u can see they cater to a certain clientele. Everything is so close together, you have no room to work out. Parking is horrible. My hope is crunch goes to port so I can get out of here.

They now removed a whole room of equipment which everyone used to put kettlebells and other stretching machines in there which no one uses. Idk who the owner is but they are clueless. They keep removing equipment to WORKOUT that everyone utilizes and replaced it with stuff no one uses. Bravo

You state no judgement but clearly you cater to a certain crowd. You take advantage because you're the only gym around and that's not right. You have a lot of people who want to work out with machines. Stop removing equipment we use to exercise!!!!!!!!!

Very disappointed with the gyms decision to eliminate the 30 minute workout room. No warning, no signage with effective date, nothing. Showed up after 3 days off due to my work schedule to find the room empty, all equipment removed. This change was handled very poorly and without any concern for members who used this room as an active part of their work regime. Find it surprising there wasn’t a corporate initiated survey asking members their opinion regarding the removal of this aspect of the gyms services. Clearly no consideration to members who utilized this room as an active part of their workout regime.

I've had a black card for many years now. This gym is convenient because there is likely a PF anywhere you go and I travel a lot with my work. If you're a professional athlete or have a very unorthodox fitness routine, you likely won't find all the gear you need. However, for general fitness and body development, you can't go wrong. The price of membership is cheap considering all the accommodations. I highly recommend the Hydromassage, it's a brilliant invention, God bless whoever made that crazy thing, everyone loves it, only thing we DON'T like about it is the ten minutes of a tease you get 😜 The massage chair is fantastic as well considering it targets more surface areas of the body than the hydro alone. If you get cool with the staff, they'll let you loop your session if there is no line waiting. Red light therapy is now built into the tanning booths so you can work on some color and enhance your skin eliminating blemishes simultaneously. Get in there, start sweating, and be the best version of you! 💪 As always, ladies and gentlemen, stay forever young! 🤘❤️‍🔥🐦‍🔥

I have been a member of PF since they were located in Port Jervis, NY. My experience at the gym has always been pleasant. The staff are helpful, friendly and professional and so I have come to take for granted the effort and dedication some of the long term employees show day in and day out for years. However I need to tell you about an incident on Tuesday morning 11/3 that Should not be ignored or taken for granted. When I arrived at the gym I noticed that a woman was seated near the front area and being attended to for some type of medical issue by your long term female employee who always works the morning shift. ( I am embarrassed I dont know her name) I was taken by the sincere concern and care she gave to the woman while at the same time cleaning the floor around her where liquid had apparently spilled. This is not the first time I have observed this young lady going above and beyond. She is always pleasant, even in the early morning and eager to help when issues arise…consistant, professional.
Thank you Planet Fitness and the young lady working the morning shift for making the club a welcoming place to exercise for so many years.

Edit: They need to make sure people are cleaning off their machines after use, unfortunately most don't! Also, people are constantly sitting on machines using their phones and not using the equipment when you have people waiting! Today someone was adding up their shoprite receipt while sitting and taking up a machine. Never saw him use it once! Might be a good idea to have someone walk around and check on these things.

They have moved to Matamaras, PA. Next to shoprite and TJMax. The new location seemed very modern at first. Then I went to the new location in Middletown, and I was blown away. Now I know what modern is. This location however is still Clean. The location is still open. The staff is still verygood. Friendly and professional. The Machines are not as modern as I thought but they are well kept.

Traveling around the US and have been to 30 PFs in two months. This one is below average. The functional exercise area did not have enough mats for folks who wanted to use the area. And the shower curtains were not as wide as the shower opening so there was only limited privacy while taking a shower. The facility was clean and the equipment was in good working order.

I am very new to joining a gym. Back in the day I would just run or exercise at home. I like belonging to a gym because it gets me to work out more, knowing I am spending $$ on it. I LOVE the black card, everyone should just get that, I love the free tanning and use of massage chairs. I haven't done much other than the treadmill however I am going to try some other machines. The trainer videos on the app have actually really helped me not go overboard, while achieving a nice result(I ran a mile...in 15 mins! Not too shabby!). My goal was to go every day after work as long as its a weekday, however I only made it once last week. I am hoping to do three times this week, even two will be an improvement. Also am getting a great tan and my skins clearing up. AND most importantly, I lost 5 pounds and I haven't checked since last week but overall I can feel my clothes fitting better (or fitting right). I think Planet Fitness is a great choice for everyone, the prices are reasonable yet the equipment, showers, lockers, tanning beds etc etc are all brand new and in excellent condition!! VERY happy with my experience so far!

Conveniently located in Westfall town center with modern equipment. It can get busy during peak times.
The operating hours of the gym need to be modernized by changing from 24*3 to 24*7. The early closing and late opening times for the remaining days are very inconvenient for gym members.
Why not trial 24*7 for three to six months?
Let the data decide if it makes sense.

The old gym down at US Hwy 6 was far better than this hellfire of a gym. You had 2 floors with plenty of machines, smith machines, and a decent amount of cardio equipment/machines. Now the gym here is 1 floor, barley any rooms, most of the weight machines are replaced with cardio machines, and to put more salt onto the wound, they’ll shut down part of the gym to “teach a class” which is insulting, I’ve been to Planet Fitness for well over 4 years, since it’s the only gym I have in my area, and I’ve never seen this before until just recently. This whole idea to close down a part of an already tight gym, to just basically do yoga, since there’s barely any machines being used nor cables, is ridiculous. I’m a busy guy who needs to get a quick workout in the early morning, only for this to happen. I’m hoping the rumors of Port Jervis is opening their own gym is true cause i can’t stand this place.

Very clean and plenty of machines. After a workout, I feel refreshed with a nice hot shower.
Being in a shopping center with great stores, places to eat and a theater is a wonderful way to compliment your workout experience without having to drive around. Walking is easy, mostly under overhead shelter, and is an excellent way to get prepared for a workout and/or relax afterwards. You don't have to drive, workout, then drive, unless you want to.

The new and very clean PA location is extraordinary well laid out. The change area four times bigger than the Port Jervis (PJ) location, thus allowing me to change without “bumping butts” with others while getting cleaned up. The changing booths are excellent. All the showers are spacious – and work. Only two out the three showers did in PJ for years – and one even had had the hot/cold plumbing reversed!? The very well maintained “purple” machines (LifeFitness) were (re)installed, which are standard in most, but not all PFs. The two hybrid standing tanning booths were kept as well. I, unfortunately, pay $15 each month extra over the basic rate in order to tan twice a week for 4 minutes only.  The Black Card rate has gone from $20 to $23 to now $25 per month – yet the basic rate stays at $10. A bit unbalanced I’d say…

The one change that really sucks, however, is that the gym does no open until 5:00 on Monday (instead of 12:00am like in PJ). There is absolutely no way I can make to work on time starting that late. Although I work out two days a week at home (LifeCycle, bench, and 2.5-50lb dumbbells), I was use to going to PF on Monday and Thursday. If it were to snow on Monday in the winter, I was able to shift my schedule to Tuesday and Friday. Now I will be screwed if there is snow on a Tuesday or Friday. I do not like to miss even a single workout. It is about consistency.
