I've been going here for years. The staff know me by my first name, it's almost like a second home to me. Being able to go here and work out all the stress after a long day at work is great. The staff are great people and take awesome care of the equipment as well.

Awesome location! The facility is clean, with great staff, and respectful clients. When you work multiple jobs like me, this location makes it easy to get some exercise in while doing some laundry and grabbing some food for the fridge.

New 24/5 hours are ridiculous. I'm so tired of these penny-pinching Planet Fitness clubs. Some of us can only work out overnight due to our schedules, and this club's management clearly does not care at all. All in the name of making a buck, it's shameful. Why should I pay the same amount of money for less gym access? I will likely be cancelling my membership permanently. Hope others do the same to send a message. Not a good business strategy.

Not enough equipment and hours are confusing and unreasonable. Why have a gimmick that its open 24 hours when you change it to close at 9 pm on Friday and 7pm on weekends. The only reason I go is that its the only commercial gym i live by.

I felt the need to write this after having to cut my time at the gym short again thanks to the new hours. I work steady night shift. A big part of the allure of joining this gym was that it was 24 hours- I could go whenever I was awake and functional enough. Now, the gym closes early on 3 of my 4 days off in a 2 week period. I used to always be able to fall back on the fact that I could go late in the evening/night if I slept in on my days off. Well, no longer. I hate time constraints, and these new hours have made me miss days of going to the gym. Closing at 7pm on the weekends is especially terrible- I work every other weekend and I'm sure others do as well.
All that being said, I do enjoy this gym. It's clean, doesn't smell, and the staff have always been friendly. I'm also glad bigger shower curtains were recently added to the showers. Not having to worry about the curtain swaying and people seeing me naked is a big plus. I know it's a far shot, but bring back being open 24 hours every day! The only other Planet Fitness nearby that's always 24 hours is in West Mifflin, and it has some pretty terrible reviews (and is not minutes from my house).

I really love this gym. The place is clean and the staff is really nice. What I don’t like is wasting my money. With the new hours, it makes it nearly impossible for me to get there now which means my money is going down the drain. I can’t even go to another planet fitness because I would have to pay MORE on top of what I already pay monthly. I will be leaving this gym and going to a gym that won’t cut the hours and charge me the same amount. The owners really messed up when they decided these new hours were a good fit. They should have checked with the people keeping this building open before they made this asinine decision.

Employees are amazing, place is well kept, good environment. They need to start actually reviewing their rockbot thing so new songs can be added, tired of the same music everyday. They could also get real massage chairs since it's listed that they have them. They have the hydrobeds, which is fine, but don't advertise a massage chair when you don't have 1.

Overall it is not a bad gym. My only issue is the 30 minute workout area is reserved for only those doing 30 minute workouts and every time I am there, literally noone is ever using it. With no Hammerstrength machines and people always waiting to get on the Smith Machines and free weight benches, I feel that space could possibly be better utilized.

Wherever you go, the personnel are all the same - top notch, second-to-none. I walked in and immediately knew that I wanted to be a member of this gym in particular. Case in point, "Wendy" couldn't have been more helpful. She was an exemplar in courtesy, professionalism and expedience. I am a tech dinosaur.
On startup, smoke occasionally billows out from my computer.
My occupational therapist often checks me for opposable thumbs. Wendy told me exactly what to do, in order to change my account. Worked like a charm. The gym itself is in a financially distressed area, but it's like walking into an oasis. This gym screams cleanliness and state-of-the-art equipment. Honestly, I feel fortunate to have discovered this gym.

I like the atmosphere of this gym. It is a place where they abide by the rules and the concept that PF offers. The staff is attentive and helpful. The place is kept clean and taking into account the movement of people entering and leaving the gym, I emphasize again that it is clean and organized. The temperature is ideal and the audio is not strident. Surely if someone asks me about the place I would recommend it, especially when they have employees who are attentive to the visitor. An example is that an employee already knows that after my routine I always go to the whirlpool machine and the massage chair, I just go to the counter and she already knows what I'm going for, that's more than good service, it's interest and responsibility within of the work environment. So far 5 of 5. I hope it stays that way.

Changed bank accounts due to fraudulent activity and ended up moving to a different area shortly after. I was in town one day so I stopped by to ask a few questions. Apparently they continue billing you even if they can't charge the bank account on file... And, apparently they continue billing you even if you'd told them you're moving and it doesn't make sense to keep that gym. I owed hundred of dollars that were billed after I moved. I looked at the worker and said, "thats insane there's no way I'm paying that." She just looked at me like there was nothing she could do. As I was leaving another girl walked over and yelled, "we're just going to keep billing you." Seriously?!?! I don't live here. I can't keep this as my gym. YOUR terms and conditions state I can cancel if I've moved.

The staff is incredibly helpful. I wanted to upgrade my membership to black card and at the same time make a change so that my medical insurance would pay for the membership. I could not determine how to do that on the PF website. The staff at the gym was able to do this for me in less than 10 minutes. Awesome service and highly recommended !

I love coming here. The place is clean and the equipment is in great condition. The place is quiet mostly and only once since I have been here have I heard one person at the top of their voice and all I did was plugged my earpiece in, because I don't think he could help himself. Lol. I have tried another planet fitness, but that one wasn't as clean as this one, so Planet Fitness McKeesport for the win!

Very friendly atmosphere and staff. They always wish you a good workout upon check-in, and a farewell when leaving. Best equipment in the area. A special recognition to gym trainer Jason, who I recently had a 30 minute session with about a week ago. No complaints from that session! ❤️ My only suggestion is the temperature around the treadmill area is often very uncomfortable because the lack of ventilation or fans.
Once in a while I visit 2 or 3 other locations in my area but always spend more time at McKeesport PF the overwhelming majority of the time.
