I can't say enough good things about this planet fitness. There is a girl with beautiful and unique pink hair. She is such a down to earth people's person. Such a gem that is rare to find in most gyms. Very warm and inviting. Then, there is this quirky and insightful personal trainer. Very modest and kind. He mets you where you are and doesn't make you feel intimidated like most personal trainers. He, too, has a very welcoming personality that will have you talking to him for ages. There is another young gentlemen who will open doors for you and is completely laid back. It's so refreshing during times when life is unpredictable. In fact, I've never had an issue with the young staff members representing this local planet fitness. However, there is an overweight lady with a limp who seems like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Sadly enough, she might even be the manager. If you look directly in her face, she will smile pleasantly as though she truly cares about her clients. If you turn away and see her from the corner of your eye, her face will warp into an angry demon. As a Christian, it is easy to tell someone's true colors. It doesn't take much to bring them to light. Especially when a person does a terrible job hiding it. You just have to look for what most other's overlook. I wish she wasn't working the night shift. Maybe this review will help to get a new manager at the establishment. l loved working out on 10.15.25. It was the young lady with the pink hair, vibing to a beat of her own drum. And then, it was the manager who left and sat in her car. The temporary removal of her presence completely turned the gym into a fun and relaxing environment. Such a waste to have someone with bad intentions being in the public eye. IDK what her deal is but I've never let a bad apple spoil my workout. I work in I.T. and since COVID, I've been working remotely. I've been to 15 east coast states, 1 west coast, and one country. I've never experienced the planet fitness judgement free zone slogan until arriving at this location while living in Youngwood, PA. If that manager could get her act together, maybe one day, this will be a five star establishment. And to the rest of the staff, please, keep up the good work.

My brother and I went at 1:00 p.m. and it was not very busy at all. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There are lots of machines and most of them were open. Very clean and they played very good music for working out. My brother says they do not get super busy even at the busiest times of the day.

Only 2 tanning bed (1 stand up, 1 lay dwn) you have to mke an appointment to use thm so most of the times you have to wait on a bed tht is not being used because whoever signed up for did decided not to use it... Wow just wow! Some ppl don't have 40mins to wait on a bed tht is not being used!! Terrible setup

Our home gym is at the Mt Pleasant PA location. We enjoy going there for a few reasons; the staff is very friendly and helpful, the gym is impeccably clean, the machines are always in working order, the size of the gym has a small and personable feel so it doesn't feel like a huge commercial gym space, the location is close to our home, and they retain alot of the same members so you get to know familiar faces. We've been members for 15 months now and look forward to going for every workout!

Clean. But lately, I've noticed a lot of maintenance issues that seem to take a little longer than normal to work on. Water fountains oo order for over a week, the wall to the emergency exit has been being worked on for nearly two months if not more, computer system for tanning and other black card amenities been out for a week.

Clean. It might be the cleanest building in town and also a gym. They always laugh at the dad jokes. Saints. Super helpful and always try to answer even the dumbest questions. The light is so good shades are needed certain times of day from the natural window lighting. ( I warned you afternoon machine arm workouts). Do they need more stuff yeah but every planet fitness has the 30min workout zone in the way of another power tower😂 sorry but it's true. Someone always doing pulldowns at the crossover. Yep.... you know they are for crossover movements there in the middle maybe a low level movement like a donkey kick or god forbid curls. P.s. it is a pull up assist machine not a single leg press. One machine i can max besides the hydrolounge.... come at me brah! They can come and tell you to not hog the power tower with stuff you can do on dumbells but they really do try not to judge. Sometimes you need a smith machine and someone is doing ab stuff on a bench in there for some reason. This used to bother me.... just be entertained and get in something else. This ineptitude is all part of the experience when nobody was ever told how to workout. Adapting your workout becomes an art form. Now that was a huge list of cons so let's get back to the stuff i like. A not serious gym can be cool. I do love the laid back vibes where nobody is building a squad and haording weights. No crossfit means no weights left laying around, no littered mess and virtually no yelling or ammonia. it isn't a lifters gym. Steriods and supplements aren't being sold either like some other places. There aren't piles of chalk everywhere and people spending 15min wrapping up before every lift. It is a different kind of gym so don't try to make it the same kind of workout and you'll be fine.

It’s a great gym to use and super close to Mount Pleasant/Scottdale residents. The equipment and facility is very clean and updated. I only give it 4 stars because I wish it was open 24/7 or at least stay open past midnight. I work most of the day and then come home to my family and usually like to workout later at night to come home to bed. It’s just hard to find time in the day to fit time in for a place that closes pretty early in my schedule.

It's always clean and people are polite but really wish they were a 24/7 gym like most others, so I could better use my gym membership. I start work between 4am and 6am, and I work 10 to 11 hr days. And I always preferred the later hours or middle of the night hrs for working out vs mid day.

Everyone i know seems to have a membership. Many people i know pay money to this company and don't go. Gyms with extra members and less free weights makes for better nicer facilities with less cramped spaces. Did i mention there are free weights but way less of them which means no crossfitters doing terrible jerky movements and leaving them everywhere. Do i hate crossfitters.... no more than power lifters or any other group i suppose because there is a high rate of weird joint wrapping and leaving messes. There is almost a weird somber vibe here which is a pleasant break sometimes from the sniffing salts and chalk you see before huge lifts that hurt your progress for a month at some other places. nobody here is listening for a hard set to run and tell on you. Nice controlled reps and there has never once been an issue. I'm not a big guy though using a ton of weight. there is about 7 or 8 staff that i can count that are all very nice. They deserve metals for putting up with my dad jokes. Only one issue that is very well known by everone and that is the hours. I am rating it like a retail store here but here it is..... Very very limited hours for a gym. Sorry but i am not "contacting management directly" they are aware. This review is just to help shoppers.

I walk in to lay my bill it was a few days late due to me losing my debit card and working outta town. I walk in pay my bill with the same lady I see everyday for 2 years I proceed to lay her and and walk over to tanning check in to sign up for tanning. It won’t allow me to tan due to “late payment”. I tell the lady you saw me pay just now with you. She tells me there’s nothing she can do. “You mean nothing you wanna do”. I know they have cards they can use. But yet if I sign up I can tan that second and that day. This lady was rude as hell. I will

Well the gym trends you beautiful. The gym adds life to your years and years to your life. This is good for dudes like me who need evey chance they get. Meet people, make friends and who knows where it goes? It pays to be nice to everyone in love because we're all tied together and if you have a good reputation, it helps in finding new relationships.

Hey, I ain't giving you all my secrets for finding the love of your life. Lol. Just you gotta burn with love and quench hate no matter what the world throws at you. The world is pretty lame now, but The Planet Fitness rules! Literally a few minutes of exercise and the stress and suck of life melt away.

Currently the Gym Leader is Captain Morgan, a sweet young lady who's perpetually cheerful. She's so nice, I consider her a personal friend. She's nice to everyone. Come to Planet Fitness and meet someone super nice. It's like a free friend in Morgan just for visiting! Yaya!

If you think the gym ain't for you cuz you feel intimated, nah, we cheer for those trying to get in shape! Think about it, that 300lb stacked mass of muscle body builder might have looked like you til they made the choice to make their life better. That 'uge body builder guy or gal doesn't have to try as hard because exercise is like inertia (Paraphrased Brucee Lee). The more you exercise the easier it gets. The first few weeks you might be sore, but later you get a better high on exercise than the alcohol or cigs could ever dream of. Ditch the bar dragging you down. Come to positive atmosphere of the gym. Get lifted up in spirit, mind and body.

Remember to bring the love yourself. Things don't work out first three months at the bar, your chances get worse. In the gym,your chances only get better! It's a sure shot! Bring your passion and dedication or develop that here. And consider the black card so you can roam other gyms and meet more people.

I don't work or have any affiliation with Planet Fitness other than everyone has been nice to me there, am personal friends with employees(Kristen is cool too) and I want more people to know where it's at! Love's the way. Love is eternal.

The staff was helpful/nice, but if you are looking for any type of selections of equipment, this won’t be your place to go. Not a lot of equipment to choose from, tiny. Not hating on the gym, but just wanting to let people know how if you’re looking for options for good equipment for multiple types of lifts, this isn’t the place to go.

I was in town for a few weeks over the Christmas holiday and took advantage of the $1 down/$10 a month deal. The facility was clean, and the staff and patrons were friendly. Tim took the time to answer my questions before I joined and showed me the facility when I first visited the gym. I highly recommend and will return!

Never coming to this location again. The manager on duty would not allow me to sign in a guest even though my membership was valid. He insisted that it needed to be done on the planet fitness app. Which is totally untrue and he was just power tripping off the fact he could enforce it. I've been to planet fitness all around USA and they never had a problem signing in a guest manually. Managers like this have no business working for the company because they just make the establishment look bad. I'm sure if it was a female trying to sign in, this goofball would have them signed in real quick. I wish I had his name but he was a short white kid and clearly had a Napoleon complex.

Everyone keeps their distance and the place is kept clean. I love the new app that lets me know how busy it is or if there are not many people there.
