Canceled black membership due to massage beds and chairs being broken and unserviced. This week i cancel my membership due to worn out equipment. Funny how theres sanitizer for wiping equipment off yet the restroom lacks any sanitary efforts by management.

Been going to this gym for the last 2 years. When I started staff was helpful equipment was clean and easy to use. As the time went by staff during the day reads there phones at the desk, very rarely leave the desk. Equipment needs repair , smith machine down for 3 weeks, cable machine out of service for over a month.
Pads on machines are cracked it is hard to adjust height on some machines. Inquired when these machines will be in working order, always told they are waiting on parts or a technician. People that workout there are courteous, overnight people do a good job of cleaning up.this question is for the general manager. When are you going to get the smith, cable machine which have both been down for a month being generous with the time frame. Also the massage beds and mens toilet. And yes I’ve already stopped at the front desk, these are having your members alter there workouts. WOULD LIKE AN ANSWER
Asked for the bathrooms to be cleaned of wiped down. Answer my manager will do this, bottles and paper towels are g even full. What is done by the overnight employee. The overnight workers seem to start to work around 4:00 am. I’m in a little after 5:00 am the floor is just mopped slippery with the amount of water they use! Weighs all about the gym I put them back as they watch the clock to leave. Maybe they can get up during there shift. Clean straighten up the plates left around.

This always has been the best pf, staff wise, but yesterday CHRIS and KEVIN went more above and beyond than usual… and their baseline is already crazy. My phone ended up *inside* the stair stepper (don’t ask). These two teamed up to go out of their way to lift and tilt the giant machine til they were able to retrieve my device for me. I really always love going here- the staff and most of the members are truly a high point in my day. Even if I don’t feel great, I know that going here is the foolproof way to lift myself up. The staff is really like a family. They work well together and really go out of their way for their members. You feel integrated into the little family after some time. Maybe that’s why that always go 20 out of 10 for their members.

I really couldn’t say enough about the staff here, especially Chris and Kevin; everybody is truly world class. I’ve also made some of my closest friends at this gym. PF Parkesburg is one of my favorite places to be. I’ve been to other locations that are absolutely massive and double the size of the Parkesburg location, but I’d honestly choose to go to Parkesburg every single time. The energy and vibe that the staff make this location have is not something that you find commonplace, and truly lifts you up. No amount of equipment (I find the options of equipment to be quite suitable btw, wouldn’t consider this location “small”) compare to that.

I usually have a great experience at the Planet Fitness in Parkesburg. But today I walked up to the counter and tried to get a tanning bed and the manager completely ignored me. I said hello and stood there for a 5 minutes and not once did he look up. I had to get another employee who was on the other side of the gym to help me. I get you have a business to run but dude your business is people, without them you don't have a gym.

I came in as a Guest to try out the Facilities. I was told I could use the Red Light, Aqua, & Massage Therapies. I drive 10 miles just to be told I couldn't use any of the Therapies unless I was a Member. Well if you want more Members than you should allow a Guest to try out all Facilities to see if they want to join. As a over 70 Senior Citizen, I cant afford $300. per year. So basically they just lost a potential Client. My Daughter said I could join at $1 but the fact that I was treated the way I was by the Manager. I will not be going back to this Facility or joining, the Parkesburg PA Planet Fitness. Unless I receive an Apology from the Manager.

The showers here were absolutely filthy and unacceptable. i see another post regarding this so nothings changing. I moved and this was now my closest gym and I tried to go here before work in the morning. Very convienant but just cant even with this place. I complained (very nicely) once and was reassured they would be cleaned better. They were cleaned ok for maybe a week.. and then it just went back to filthy again. Mold that's been building up for days maybe weeks including red/orange slime on the walls, several of the same plastic razor caps same gym goer over several days..(which means these aren't even being cleaned/daily or at all? ), clumps of hair. I literally tried to avoid touching anything while showering. The last time I went there were drain flies and I was just done after that visit. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED. If you are managing this place how are you not seeing this ?!?! I submitted feedback and no one ever followed up. There just are no excuses for letting it get this gross. I called in the beginning and I was told someone had a bad back ..ok sympathetic but .. um ok let's get someone else in there then.. this is ongoing not a one time off. Not a great excuse. Pair that with the fact the staff barely acknowledges you when you walk in or leave. It wasn't the atmosphere I was used to at my old planet fitness. Reading some other poor reviews. I note the owners asks the poster to contact the club manager to notify them of the issue.. I believe maybe the owner needs to go address some of these issues with their management themselves. I'd say the customer service here kind of sucks. I've officially canceled my membership.

Adjusted 6.9.2025: Streaming Netflix is blocked for some reason. Literally any other streaming platform (Prime, Apple+, Hulu) works just fine on their free "No Judgement" wifi. Not sure what's up with that, but reddit seems to have ideas.

The gym floor is clean. The Parkesburg staff is polite and helpful. A complaint - please get rid of the political TV channels. Both CNN and FOX. In its place, put on the weather channel, or HGTV, the cartoon network, or literally anything else that is not remotely controversial. Please remove any perceived politics out of the gym. It is very distracting.

Got something right! The staff are sooo sweet! During the week Sydney is always greeting you with a smile 😊 on her face! If you dont look “right” she will “check up”on you! Sydney makes that Planet Fitness comfortable & friendly since the moment you walk in the door til you leave when she wishes you a wonderful rest of your day!’ Oys super clean in there and the womens locker room is exceptional! Great gym, it's a good place to be. Its clean and staff are nice! Sometimes in the early morning hours, staff are hard to track down. All but one of the stair machines have been out of order for a very long time. My wife and I want to use them, but they are never available because only 1 functions and it is always in use.

The experience I received from this location was unnecessary and discriminatory. I decided to write this to give a heads up to POC that you may see a "difference" of treatment from the manager, Chris. During the 4 months of being there, I was told that I couldn't use a black membership if it was under someone's name. The person told him he's giving me authorization because he suffered an injury. Still not for him. So then my friend changed the account name to mine. We thought the situation was rectified but then he started harassing me. Refusing to speak to me but making sure, any place I worked at, he was there. Then when I finished proceed to walk behind me.

I made sure to record it in 6 different days because after a while I thought I was being paranoid. Someone witnessed it and asked him if he has a problem, he didn't comment.
As weeks pass by, I witness kids as young as 8 years old, floating in the gym without an adult or a care. I politely attempted to speak to the manager 4 times and he ignored me. Imagine saying hello, good morning, can we speak and someone treats you like you don't exist?

I felt dehumanized because, I didn't understand what the animosity was about. I've seen people in there under the influence of a stimulant, screaming obsenities, not cleaning after themselves, but yet you are watching and following me workout? As if I did something wrong?

When I come to the gym, I want to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed.

At LEAST 2 of the 4 stair step machines are consistently broken. Half of the machines are falling apart and generally everything is decently dirty. They let kids come in here, that’s great, I love seeing our youth be physically fit and not on their phones. Oh wait. They sit on their phones on machines for an entire hour and act like complete fools disturbing other peoples workouts consistently and staff does nothing. Legitimately considering leaving.

I love having a PF right down the street from home! And I love that this location has some equipment that the larger, "freshly renovated" Downingtown location still doesn't have. I only wish it was 24/7 rather than 24/5, as on a Saturday or Sunday morning, there's a line out the door! I prefer to go early in the AM so that would be my only wish-list item. Other than that, everything is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is perfect!

I love this gym!! Ive made a few very close friends here, and met countless wonderful people— including the manager, CHRIS. This man deserves a raise. I could see him being a Goggins-level inspirational/motivational figure. Usually even if I’m feeling not great, I’ll get going once I'm a ways into my workout. Not here. You walk into the gym and you’re greeted by Chris reminding you to listen to your BOSS VOICE. Seriously SO uplifting.

Also you really can’t blame the staff for the random knuckleheads that show up from time to time. We’re all doing what we can. When there’s an intentionally nasty or otherwise problematic person (which is rare considering the amount of traffic this place gets), they’ve been handled prudently and with consideration.

I’m not sure what’s going on here but for the last week I’ve never seen this gym so absolutely filthy and disgusting. It hasn’t been cleaned for a minimum of 4 days. I know this because I’ve seen the same disgusting band-aid in the corner of a shower stall. See pic. Also, the front door advertises 24/5 and yet they’re only open 24/4 which forces the early birds to drive into Downingtown or other gyms on Mondays. Downingtown is a corporate facility and is open 24/7 and is absolutely spotless! They’ll be closing for several weeks in July for renovations. It would be nice if Parkesburg would pick up some of the slack and return to a 24/5 schedule. Thank you

Love this location 8 blocks from my house. Super friendly staff. Location is almost always clean. On the down side some of the equipment is in need of repair. 1 of 3 Smith Machines has been out of order for weeks, the cable machine has been out of order for weeks and there are multiple pieces of equipment that has ripped and shredded padding.

I love the Parkesburg facility and everyone there. My workouts start anywhere from 3:45am to 4am since I start work at 6am. I would give a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the fact that they are not open that early on Mondays. I hope the owner considers an early opening on Mondays so the early birds can get in a Monday workout too.

Changing my review to 1 star. When they opened it was nice. Now its filthy. Machines are broken for weeks and weeks on end with no repairs made to them. The machines themselves that are working are covered in dust and filth. The resting pad on on one of the machines is completely worn off and the foam is exposed. How sanitary is that? They're not open 24 hours anymore.. 3 people on staff the other day and NO ONE is cleaning. There all at the front desk on their cell phones. . GRAB a bucket with some DISINFECTANT AND Start CLEANING the machines. I really can't see myself continuing to pay the fees when its not open 24 hours anymore and its NOT CLEAN. And the machines are in disrepair.

I am a new member of Planet Fitness Parkesburg, but I already feel comfortable there. I definitely highly recommend it! Everything is always clean, the staff is helpful, and the other clients are always kind and respectful. I am especially grateful for the seated cross-trainer, as I can't really use the other cardio machines due to my physical limitations.

When will you be repairing some of the equipment. Some of the machines with arm pads are ripped up and scratch your arms. Several machines do not run smoothly, I think they need there belts cleaned and lubricated. Everyone avoids those machines, which makes your workout take longer, because you have to wait for the good machines.
