My first time coming into this location was amazing. I was greeted by the manager Avaiya who was very friendly and respectful, and she even gave me a tour around the establishment. Very clean store and kind staff!

I GOT MY WINDSHIELD BOOTED WHILE PARKED AT PLANET FITNESS. When I went inside to ask the staff about it, they said “we don’t have anything to do with that, they’re contracted by National Wholesale Liquidators.” Then I went to National Wholesale Liquidators and they weren’t helpful at all. The signs about parking and booting WERE NOT THERE YESTERDAY and suddenly today I’m charged $150! The guy who boots is in an undercover car (White Chevy Suburban) I’ve been coming to this gym for months with no problem. BE AWARE WHEN PARKING TO GO TO THE GYM! If I could give zero stars I would!

The assistant manger*Avaiya* kicked me out and proceeded to tell me I wasn’t aloud in the gym, even though I am a black card member, and is very rude towards me and other people. Mind you this is the manager of this place. Get her out of there. ( if I could give a 0 star I would.

I’m very disappointed with the way I was treated at the Planet Fitness on 900 Orthodox St in Philadelphia, PA. I’ve had multiple negative encounters with one staff member, Aliani, who has repeatedly acted unprofessionally and shown bias toward me and my family.

On October 6, 2025, she left her assigned duties—training new hires and cleaning equipment—to confront my family after we had already been in the facility for over 20 minutes. She walked past me to question my underage sibling about her age instead of addressing me as the adult present. When I asked why, she said she thought we were all children, even though she had clearly passed me first. Her behavior has consistently targeted darker-complexioned members while overlooking similar actions from others.

When I turned to walk away, Aliani followed me closely, moving her hands while I faced the opposite direction, which made me feel threatened and unsafe. I told her to stop following me. Then, on October 9, 2025, I received a call saying I was banned from all Planet Fitness locations due to the incident.

Manager Jess apologized, stated I’d be refunded for the month, and admitted the situation was handled poorly, yet Aliani remains on site. It’s deeply unfair that the person who felt unsafe is punished while the staff member’s conduct goes unaddressed. I hope corporate reviews this matter and ensures equal, respectful treatment for all members.

Don't listen to safety concerns! New racks and one barbell is extremely bent it rolls in your hand. The lady said it is normal but I have never seen a bar like that. It is a defect for a bar to bend and not retract after heavy lifts and nobody at planet is doing Olympic lifts! Please replace the defective bar to the manufacturer and please don't gaslit guests concerns!

First time there was last night!!! Worst PF!! Small; the machines were just put anywhere, crowded as hell!!!! People workout almost on top of people! There was no thought or common sense put into this place. They just saw an open spot and just threw some machines there and slapped the PF sign on it. The men are rude and workout in groups to intimidate women and hold the machines for hours. The only good thing is that they have newer and better machines and 2 open squat racks!!! Which I’ll have to fight a gorilla to use. Parking area dark and unsafe.

All the staff are standing at the front talking but the men’s bathroom only has 1 stall because the other is locked from the inside or either stuck and have a line for the bathroom.

5/28/25 Just got to the gym at 6:10am at 6:37am they told everyone they were closing and couldn’t even finish my set when I ask. Could have gave everyone a heads up before hand and at least gave everyone a 15 minute grace period to complete their workout. Today says 24/7 not close at a certain time ! Very unprofessional for a location that has only been open for 30 days

I’ve been in planet fitness for 3 years on aramingo so recently I started coming to y’all on orthodox an it’s much better staffs are great clean Equipment and always paper in the dispenser! Awesome job guys a girls !!! 💪💪💪💪

The gym is fine, the employees too, but the place is super insecure, if they don't steal your vehicle, they'll band it, there's no security at all, I definitely don't recommend it
