At this Pf, some supervisors are useless and don't know how to approach their guests to inform them of the policy in a respectful manner. It's ridiculous. They’re rude. Pf needs to do better at hiring or promoting certain people to leadership positions because it's crucial to Pf members' experience.

Staff is the the shining star that makes this place so great. They're all friendly and helpful.
I usually see at least 1 person out cleaning while I am there during peak hours.

Lacking several machines/equipment:
-Cardio machines (treadmills during peak hours, stair masters always)
-Smith machines (there is always a line)
-Lacking benches (hit or miss if you can get one - only 5)
-Dumbbells of low weights (5, 10, 15)

Decent space on top floor for mat workouts.
Mats could use an upgrade.

JC regularly harasses women who try to work out here, following them into the bathrooms. Woody and the regional manager has been informed and do nothing but harbor him. Beware of JC specifically or go to a different PF location.

A bit crowded workday evenings, but what are you going to do? Parking can be a little right, but it's clean, staff are fine, equipment is in good repair. I do think it's bizarre that the 2 leg presses are on opposite sides of the gym 😂 it's very nice that some of the equipment is in the balcony. Not as many people can stare at you while you work out (but really no one stares at people anyway)

I’ve been to a few different planet fitnesses and this one is by far my favorite! The staff are super friendly especially Susanne! I loved that she encouraged me to hit the massage chair before leaving! This place has two levels which make it look like a professional gym and adds to the roominess. This location in particular is the most comfortable for me. Yeah there’s a lot of jacked propels but no meatheads. Great diversity of age too which I appreciate. Just an overall welcoming environment!

I would give this place five stars, but the cleanliness is seriously lacking. The bathrooms are never cleaned — the same clump of hair has been in the changing stall for two weeks, and the same smushed bug is still on the shower wall. I even bring my own cleaning supplies because I sometimes have to shower here and i wouldn’t trust the shower unless I cleaned it.
While some dirt and dust buildup is expected by the end of the day, it's clear that not even weekly cleanings are being done.

The staff is friendly and attentive, but the dressing rooms could use more attention in terms of cleaning. Soap dispensers were empty and some of the lockers need a good wipe-down.

I love this PF because the hours are so flexible. The front desk people are kind and are always attentive.

I’m new to gym life but my first day at planet fitness roxbourogh was great. I was welcomed at the door by Charles he showed me how to use the app to ck in then once I picked my treadmill he came by to see if I needed help (which I did) lol. The early life was great about 5 people total . My 2nd day was today and even better maybe 3 people including myself. I’m on a 30 day gym mission I hope the next 28 days are as good.

Had a tough moment where someone followed me into the parking lot. Employees noticed I was upset and listened. They offered to let me stay as long as I needed and walk me out to my car. Lay and the other employee were so kind and accommodating.

One of the best locations I've been to, and I've been to many in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas. Staff is incredible- friendly, helpful, and attentive. The facility is clean and well laid out. My only complaint is that there arent enough free weights- but other than that 10/10!

Super overcrowded all the time. Not just a little crowded... SUPER overcrowded. Free tootsie rolls. There is also a “trainer” guy who kind of stalks the girls. He goes up to them unsolicited when they come in and doesn’t leave them alone. I feel really bad for the one girl who can’t shake this guy. I never liked gyms until I tried my local Roxborough Planet Fitness. Great welcoming atmosphere for everyone of all ages and abilities. I'm in a wheelchair and the trainers, who are free, give one on one attention. They help me get on and off the leg machines allowing me to stay independent. I love seeing my neighbors. You can't beat the low price if you pay it yourself, and many insurances, like my Medicare, pay the fee for you.

Please, PLEASE do something about the abuse of the circuit/express training area. I had a guy stare me down today when I politely asked him if I could use the machine he'd been hogging for 5 or so rounds. People come in there and park at a station, play on their phones, and never actually use the machines. It's really obnoxious.

There needs to be a GIANT sign at the circuit area *entrance* that clearly states its purpose and rules. And please, when it starts to get busy, actually have staff monitoring the area because this is an issue every, single day. You have a sign saying it's monitored but in 5 years, I've never seen a single employee checking in.

If fitness is your passion and a kind and diverse community matters to you, I suggest going to a different gym!

I’ve been a regular here for the past year and have been to several different gyms (golds, onelife, other pfs, etc) in the past few years. While it’s a spacious and well air conditioned gym, the community at Roxborough is overall pretty bad.
One time as I checked in, one of the staff who unfortunately was probably a manager instantly asked me where my friend (who’s a girl) was that I previously brought in. He was clearly acting thirsty about her which is unprofessional.
Another employee at one point straight up ignored me while I was just trying to be nice making conversation about a mutual interest, which btw, he initiated telling me about as I passed him by moments earlier.
There’s also a couple that always goes here (all the regulars know exactly who I’m talking about) and the boyfriend is a jerk who bullied me off a bench because he was waiting longer for it, even though the last person to use it specifically offered it to me. Stuff like this does not happen in a good gym community. I guarantee the boyfriend would not say anything if it was a man bigger than him instead of me, a woman, at the bench.
I could tell you more negative stories, but you get the point.
Also, if diversity matters to you, this may not be the location for you - the main demographic is white and black.

I really enjoyed this Planet Fitness. The staff is friendly and helpful. The equipment is decent. It gets quite crowded after work hours, so I opt to go later at night. However, they have recently changed their hours, closing earlier. I find it hard to find a time to go now, that the gym closes during my normal workout time. I sadly had to discontinue my membership due to this fact.

First of all, I work out here every day. Definitely the best PF in the area as far as staff and typical cleanliness go.

I have never seen anyone clean a Planet Fitness the way Izzy does, especially after the way other guests rudely left the locker room this weekend and other weekends. Simple and clean gym with no glaring issues, however like most busy PF locations it is difficult to have access to desirable machines/equipment depending on the time of day. Recognizing the business model of PF I know why there are certain machines and not others, however I think this gym could use an additional free weight section instead of the circuit section.
