Update: new gym layout is awful. There are never elliptical available, the new machine layout makes no sense at all. They added a ton of stair stoppers which is great, but no elliptical and they've taken away so many even though everyone uses them. Very disappointed in the updates. Do they not know people stay on ellipticals for an hour sometimes?? Its impossible to get an empty one without just waiting around.

First time being back at a Planet Fitness in over 8 years, and it's great! This location is really convenient, especially if you shop in this area, and I love that they have tons of free parking. The gym itself is big, it's not as big as some of the others I used to go to, but there are tons and tons of cardio machines. There are at least two of every weight lifting machine. The locker rooms were clean, the whole place felt clean. I also really enjoy the app check in process, and am glad it means that an introvert like myself doesn't have to chat with anyone. It was also nice to see that there were more women at this gym than men, which isn't something I've seen before.

Planet Fitness must do something about cell phone use while sitting on a piece of equipment. Patrons feel they have every right to sit on equipment for as long as they desire and look at their cell phone. Common courtesy says otherwise but since many individuals have none, there has to be rules against the practice.

Over the years I’ve donated more to planet fitness than anyone I know, paying a monthly fee and going once or twice, but now I go here quite often with a friend. She has the black card membership. I just wish they offered a family style membership.
I always hated the gym. I’m trying to embrace it now. it's a great way to warm up warm up before a walk, jog, or run.
This particular place has ample amounts of machines and is always busy and it is always clean. My first love is always being outside walking, jogging or running and exercising outside. It certainly makes it easier to do a lot of things that I’m not able to on the outside outdoor public spaces do not have a lot of exercise options like they offer inside the gym tailored for each body part, but for now it’ll do and come winter time. I think it’s essential. I’ve been helping a friend lose weight and she’s doing fantastic. I will add more pictures in the coming days. These are just some quick pics. I figured why not now that I come here quite often, people may want to get an inside look before trying it out, I think maybe I will add some pics of the machines that I use tomorrow right now I’ve been concentrating on abs and upper body strength.

I really enjoy my Planet Fitness membership because the gym is always clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming and friendly staff that makes me feel comfortable every visit. It’s a positive environment for working out. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that sometimes the cleaning stations run out of paper, but overall, it’s a great experience.

Lowered my plan to save money then was charged MORE for my annual fee - with no warning and I read through the agreement it doesn’t say you’ll be charged more anywhere.

ACTUALLY I have a screenshot proving I used to pay $39 - see attached. So that’s a lie right there. When I asked the employee at the front desk why my fee went up (even tho according to the owner it didn’t) THEY are the ones who TOLD ME that it was because I changed my plan. When I pointed out how backwards that was considering I lowered my plan to SAVE money the employee just said yeah and shrugged. I also just went back on the app to find the membership agreement showing the fee and I couldn’t find it anywhere, even though apparently “You can find out more about the annual fee online, in your membership agreement, in your online PF account, or by asking a staff member”. Why don’t you point out WHERE EXACTLY on the app is this agreement document. I looked forever and could not find it. I had to track it down in my email to find it.

Also, when I was there this weekend the leg press was broken and two of four of the stair masters were broken. This is sadly a common occurrence, sometimes all 4 of the stair masters are showing error signs at once. More than half of the spray bottles don’t work properly. The bathrooms gross. No one wipes machines down and there are no repercussions. Where is this money even going??

Not surprised that the owner is lying to save face. I’ve been to much nicer locations than this one like the one in Manyunk, this one really is the worst. And this isnt the first time this gym has jipped me out of money and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

It makes zero sense to go to any gym except this one, especially if you have a car. I used to go to a smaller one that I could walk to but it cost 5x the price and I would have to wait for treadmills to open up if I didn’t arrive at 5 am when they opened (read:not 24 hours). Exposed brick isn’t worth that much. They did spell judgement the British way tho, just sayin, no judgment!

Just want to shout out for one of the Employee, I don't know his full name. But his name is Tim or Jim I could be wrong. He was being super helpful and cooperative. My wife went to the gym a few days ago, somebody lost her scooter because she parked outside of the gym without locking the scooter. We filed the report and Jim was being helpful by checking the cameras and even keep us updated. He also reached out to me for spotted a scooter that looks like ours but unfortunately thats one the one. Anyway I already let it go but just want to let the world knows how helpful he is 🙂

Great staff, equipment does the job, members all respectful, friendly, and from all walks of life and fitness categories, which I really like. This location is a little cramped compared the Oregon ave location. One issue I have is that Fox News is always on. They also have CNN and MSNBC, but Fox is always row center, and I just find it irritating with the non-stop super biased headlines in my face. I wish it weren't on at all but it it must be can it be on at the end of the row?

While being stranded and homeless on the streets of Philadelphia, PA on July 10, 2023 between 7-7:30 PM, this gentleman by the name "Woody," alleged manager of Planet Fitness (see attached image,) stated I was not allowed to use the restroom/shower due to the fact that I was not a "member." I parked my car out front of the building and went inside to use the restroom/shower, beingsthough a female employee gave me permission to do so a few days prior. 15-20 minutes of being inside, 2 Philadelphia officers, 1 male and 1 female, entered the female restrooms and escorted me out of the restroom/shower area due to me not being a "member." When I exited the facility, I noticed my vehicle was missing. I requested an incident/theft report from both the store manager and Philadelphia PD, however, store manager Woody was unable to provide me with 1 at that time; Officer Nunez (male officer) only provided me with an incomplete document with a docket number written on it (see attached image.) I revisited the scene the next day, July 11, 2023 around 11AM and requested an incident form again from manager Woody, in which he informed me that I would need to complete the form myself (see attached image.) I also requested a video investigation to be performed, however, he mentioned that would be local law enforcements duty and responsibility which I understood. All in all, does this company have their own private security company to handle matters of accidents/incidents or is it the responsibility of the employees/management? With that being said, I consider this experience as: poor management, incompletion of proper documentation, poor communication, no responsibility and no accountability.

My husband and I got to planet fitness at 6:28 tonight and was rudely turned away by the associate on duty behind the counter. Do better, PF. The limited hours are one thing but turning away members during your posted “Open” hours is a breach of the contract we sign as members.

Edit to PF Corporate: No. You call. It's your business. It's your franchisee. You should be helping them succeed. Customer feedback is valuable. Action it or don't but my portion is done. Better yet have Division President Bill Bode contact me and I'll give him some pointers. I won't even charge him the McKinsey rate.
Older version of machines. Weight area is on the small size. But it's a PF so what do you expect for $10 bucks a month. Open times are more of a estimate rather than a guarantee. Other than that it's perfectly fine.

This planet fitness on Columbus Boulevard in Philly number 539. The locker rooms are the worst that I have ever seen. Most of the covers to the lockers are broke in the men’s room and the homeless come in there with laundry bags and duffel bags they come in there, mainly to take a shower And I’m just looking at them like what is going on here the lockers are broke because of the covers are off.And the staff at the front desk act as if they’re at a country club. They are just lounging around watching people work out it is utterly ridiculous. At this planet fitness. Now some of the other ones are slightly better, but this is the worst of them all .

Staphylococcus and MRSA can be real dangerous please take the steps to properly disinfect restrooms and showers.Maybe hire and outside company to scrub the showers through out the day they are filthy smells like dirty mops and mildew…also fix the shower heads, fix the hooks on the doors to hang bags it’s unsanitary to put our bags on the floor, also recommend upgrading lockers to metal to stop theft and vandalism every time I come to this location there is a new door broken.

This gym has been slipping in quality immensely, mostly in the convenience department. They got rid of the 24/5 hours a few months ago and started opening up at 5am. That’s fine but this is not the first time multiple members have been sitting out in the parking lot at 5:15 waiting for someone to show up and open the gym. They also have a silly rule that they open later the day after a holiday? You should just give your staff off and close on the holiday and reopen at normal hours the day after. It seems like the owners are mailing it in. And I know it’s not due to lack of membership because the place is absolutely packed after 4pm, which is why it is better in the morning. Other than that, no complaints about the facilities. About as tidy and clean as you’ll see for a city gym. Just gotta make sure it’s actually open.

I was there as a guest of a friend a couple days ago and extremely enjoyed my whole experience. The front desk staff was and is extremely helpful, kind, friendly, and professional! Super Clean! Staff is constantly cleaning (thank you!). And the equipment is kept in good shape. The only thing I saw that was broken was the scale in the women's bathroom, which I told the front desk, and the next day, it was working.

The only negative thing is that some gym goers have their sports cars parked on the sidewalk RIGHT IN FRONT of the gym (major eyeroll). We get it, you have a nice car. I would love for the management to do something about it, as it's a fire safety & pedestrian crossing issue.

We joined recently and have had great workout experiences at each visit. This location is open 24/7 with lots of free onsite parking. There are free lockers, and a wide variety of workout equipment. It's never been so crowded that you can't spread out from other patrons. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We use the bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. I was delighted to find rowing machines there too. The bathrooms and changing rooms are well maintained. They even have a free reward bowl of tootsie rolls waiting at the front desk.

I just recently transferred my membership to PF on Columbus Blvd because it was closer to where I live. I originally joined PF at the Quartermaster location on Oregon Ave. in South Philadelphia.
