I've been to a Bunch of different locations. This is by far the best. The staff is super friendly and the place is next level clean. Its the only location i have ever seen where they regularly move equipment around to scrub underneath. Definitely give it a look.

This Planet Fitness is honestly one of the most welcoming and cleanest locations I’ve ever worked out at. The equipment is always in great condition, the atmosphere is judgment free (like they advertise), and the staff is super friendly and helpful. You can really tell the team here cares about the members. Big shoutout to the manager Tiffany for keeping everything running smoothly, she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and taken care of. Definitely recommend this location if you’re looking for a positive place to work out!

Whoever was at the front desk last night (8/9) is the most courteous, friendly, and considerate employee ive ever come across at a gym. Clean/newer equipment. No benches or squat racks (unfortunately). Never too crowded, and the crowd is generally respectful. It’s getting four stars due to the disgusting smell coming from the men’s bathroom. I know sweat/bodily waste don’t mix well. However, as a gym junkie that has been to hundreds of gyms across the country, this is by far the smelliest bathroom. It smells like someone smeared number 2 all over the walls. You can smell it from outside the bathroom. FIX IT PLEASE!!!

Another racist encounter from the staff at Planet Fitness in Pottstown…. So, apparently staff only knows how to give service to white customers. I’m so sick of staff treating black customers like their money isn’t green too. Tonight, I signed into the lounge with my black card and requested a certain lounge. It was a line of white girls that just signed up for black card and they were allowed to go first ahead of me when I signed in before them. Word of advice to the managers and staff there: If you’re not used to working around all people , maybe you should find a job that you don’t have to leave your home for.

Planet Fitness can sometimes get a bad rep, but this location has been fantastic! Unless you are a powerlifter, pretty much everything you could possibly want or need, is here. The location is kept pretty clean, and it seems like if a machine is ever broken or out of order (it happens!), it’s fixed by the next day that I come in. The staff that I’ve interacted with are all very friendly and helpful, and they keep the location in great condition. All of the other members I’ve seen tend to keep to themselves and are respectful of others space, for the most part, and it feels comfortable to work out here. I have belonged to other PF locations in the past that I didn’t love, but this particular spot is great.

I really like going to this gym and the staff are all friendly I have never had an issue there. I do have an issue with Planet Fitness's as a whole because now that the membership is $15 monthly from $10 it isn’t communicated to customers that if you decide to try the black card for one month “free” and if you decide you don’t want to keep it then your monthly membership fee becomes $15 going forward. Even though I started back when the membership was $10 it goes up to $15 no matter what. That’s $60 more a year total. The thing that makes me upset is there is very poor principle and value in this to customers thinking they’re get it f to try a service ie for free but in actuality have to pay more in the end overall. Sorry for the rant but this isn’t morally right if you’re trying to operate a business from a customers stand point.

Update: Thank you for the advice I reached out tot he management team and there is no way for them to switched it back to $10 in the system. This isn’t right to promote something for free and have membership increase if you don’t like it. It is what it is but I’m highly disappointed in the situation.

Been to many gyms around the country and it’s funny how it’s a “judgment free zone” but that’s all the employees do in the Pottstown location. When my husband wears a tank top and the employees are saying “geez” and that they are “admiring” it sarcastically. Just because it shows his ribs but everyone else has tank tops and short shorts on. Clean, good equipment selection, affordable. Overall the staff is professional and friendly although they may take the intimidation thing a bit too far. A Saturday staff person approached me recently implying I was making too much noise while straining on a machine. I’ve been weight training for more than 35 years in dozens of gyms and have never been questioned about any sounds I make when lifting.
I think this female staff member needs to lighten up.

Fyi.. they require you provide your bank account information even if you want to pay with a credit card. I've never had any company require I provide personal banking information for a membership.

Clearly, not for my convenience. Checks don't store account numbers and routing numbers in a database that can get hacked. It's for the convenience of the gym so you don't have to pay a few cents worth of credit card fees. Thankfully, there are other gyms in the area that take credit cards.

I have been going to PF for years, I like it there. I signed up for a black card over the summer so I could bring a guest with me. When I signed up for the black card I was not informed that that there would be any type of fee to change back to a regular membership.
Today, when I tried to go back to the regular membership, I was informed that there would be a 49.00 fee to change back.
That is outrageous! I terminated my membership on the spot.

Planet Fitness Pottstown is one of the best Planet Fitness locations I have been to! There are plenty of machines for when it gets crowded, the set up for the assisted bench presses gives everyone enough room for their workouts and they have a lot of equipment that is not at other Planet Fitnesses (free weights go higher than 65, a jungle gym set up, multiple chest fly and bicep curl machines). The locker room/bathrooms are very clean every time I go to this location. The front desk is always helpful and greets me when I come in.

I absolutely have got to do a review on this one! My daughter and I workout here at Planet Fitness on a regular basis. There are many different machines, weights, balls, mats, and workout accessories to enhance your workout routine. There are tanning beds/booths and massage beds/chairs.
The staff are friendly and work hard at keeping the place clean and up-to-date.
The reason why I want to right this review, is because I recently fell while working out on a treadmill and hurt my shin badly. It was excruciatingly painful and I passed out once my daughter and another person got me into the locker room. The other person ran to get help from the front desk as my daughter caught me and held onto me so I wouldn't fall backwards and hit my head on the floor. The staff quickly ran to my side and took over monitoring my breathing, icing and making sure I was okay as well as called the EMT. I want to thank my daughter, Amy, the unknown lady who came to my aide, the staff (especially Erica & Shaelynn) and the EMT for aiding me. It's comforting to know that the Planet Fitness staff are trained on what to do in these situations and act quickly. I'm on the road to recovery now and healing nicely. 💕👍(The photo is not my knee, it is all my shin!)

Went here today fir my first time. I was VERYYYY impressed by the size. It’s huge! Various types of equipment. The gym I went to before “my home gym” 🙄 (I moved 6 months ago and they still refuse to let me transfer). It’s very clean and it appears to be well maintained. I’m excited to have this my new gym.
