- Faculty is okay. One of the leg machines smelled like urine for months…with dry liquid marks and everything. Stopped going until recently…not looking to come back honestly.
- Staff ain’t the greatest in my opinion.

-Elevator smells like baby throw up and there are BLOOD 🩸 smears all over them…

I’ve noticed that the gym is often quite empty, and after a recent experience, I believe I understand why. Some of the policies in place seem unnecessarily restrictive. For example, I was informed that using a jump rope in the designated personal training area is not allowed. I was surprised by this, as a jump rope is standard fitness equipment and widely used for cardio training.
If a jump rope is considered "outside equipment," that seems overly strict and unclear. It would be helpful if the gym could clarify or reconsider certain policies to better support members’ fitness routines. The facilities are otherwise decent, but more flexible and transparent rules would likely encourage better member engagement.

It is too hot in the gym. A/C is out of their control, so they say. No ventilation or mini-fans on equipment. Water fountain is warm water. Feeds on equipment to listen to TV’s are all broken. I’m going to go somewhere else to work out

Every week I've been a member of Planet Fitness, there has been a problem with this location. Every single week. One excuse after another. Excuses are the only reliable characteristic of the Springfield location. Maybe it has Walmart-itis?

Most important ability is availability, and Springfield Planet Fitness fails miserably.

I love everything about my new journey to a better body. The workers were great overall but my last few times Jessie really helped me feel more comfortable. He showed me a great tour of the equipment , and most importantly how to use them! He was kind , patient and polite. Kevin was nice too but overall Jessie made my experience better than ever ! The Gym was better when we joined in 2023
Lets see. My boyfriend John and I hate it now and are planning on leaving.
Too loud- Cant hear music on his own headphones. Obnoxious people all over the gym talking on the phone( even though there are signs everywhere that says cell phones convos are allowed ONLY in the lobby.

Machines break and take a while to get fixed. machines are not well maintained( rubber handles torn, scratches, pads worn down to the metal) Rusty, loud clanking parts for some machines. Half the bikes USB ports dont charge well.

Urinals and toilets constantly break and take at least a week or 2 to get fixed. Staff ae lazy and unhelpful 90% of the time.

People take selfies in the locker room-constantly violating club rules.
The only good thing is they have good workout equipment( when its FUNCTIONAL!)

This is why its only 10 bucks for classic. you get what you pay for.

Minus one star because the handicapped toilet in the women’s bathroom would be completely unusable by anyone with a wheelchair or basically anyone who isn’t able bodied. The toilet paper dispenser was about 2 full arm lengths AWAY FROM the toilet. I have no idea how this passed checks.

Planet fitness Springfield PA. Is a great place to work out. Lots of variety in weight equipment and cardio as well. The facility is spotlessly clean! The Black membership is a nice addition with the ability to tan and relax and recover after your workout on one of their hydro massage tables. I highly recommend!!!
