Been going here for a few years and went in yesterday to see that all my favorite machines are gone which gave me an anxiety attack and only I did cardio until I have time to learn the new machines, so now I have to go in early because there’s less ppl during the day and I won’t look stupid trying to figure out the new machines but damn that sucks. Why’d you guys take all the yellow machines away?

The music volume is to low. In other plant fitness the volume is high and you can feel the beat. This is like very low. Employee said that they can not raise the volume that is the manager option. Hope the magaer attend that situation.

I don’t typically write negative reviews but the manager at this store was unbelievably ignorant. Very condescending and stand offish, almost like she didn’t want us to go there. As a business owner in the retail space she would not be working at any of my stores if she treated my customers this way.

I've watched this place decline so much over the year. Broken equipment and a small angry lil woman behind the counter w no customer or management skill whatsoever.
I've been in management for 20 years and can confidently say she's of the worst I've ever seen.
Final straw was fraud to the point where 3 different associates told my girlfriend her account was in good standing yet the angry little lady tried to attach fraudulent charges. Awful place in every way.

The hours are amazing, and ultimately is the reason why I chose this gym. I’m a crazy night owl so the fact that it is open 24/7 lets me come at all hours of the night. Also, it is very clean, and the staff is very kind.

However, there is one thing that bugs the crap out of me (and my 2 other friends who come here). There is WAYYYY too much equipment that NO ONE uses. Please for the love of god take away 90% of the ellipticals (and they still won’t all be used at the same time). Core is a big part of my workout, and it’s borderline impossible to find a spot to lay out my fitness mat during hours that aren’t in the middle of the night. And if you are lucky enough to occupy one of the 3 spots to lay out your mat, there’s almost a 100% chance you are uncomfortably close to the next person over. Please please PLEASE allot more space for the people who do core everyday. That would easily change my rating to 5 stars.

I’m writing this to shed light on a frustrating and disappointing experience I had with this location, in hopes that it helps others avoid the same issue and that Planet Fitness takes accountability where it’s due.

On March 26th, I called to verify my upcoming charges. I was told by the staff that my account was in good standing, and the only upcoming charge would be my normal monthly fee on the 16th of each month. Based on that information, I planned accordingly. However, on April 1st, I was unexpectedly charged $49, which caused my bank account to overdraft. The entire reason I called in advance was to prevent this exact situation.

I filed a franchise complaint and left a review immediately to get the issue addressed, but nothing was corrected—no follow-up, no apology, no refund, no accountability. Then, to make matters worse, I was charged again, with no explanation or resolution.

When I called back to cancel my account so I could just take control of the situation myself, I spoke with the same manager, Tatyana, who originally misinformed me. She claimed she would cancel my membership “as a courtesy.” I explained to her that this is not a “favor”—this is me taking responsibility for a mistake she made, and that Planet Fitness never corrected. Instead of acknowledging that, she raised her voice, talked over me, and ultimately hung up on me.

I called back to confirm that my cancellation request was processed. The next rep said I was “yelling” when in reality I was just trying to explain that Tatyana had hung up on me without confirming anything. I even tried to apologize if my tone seemed frustrated, but the staff member interrupted me and said, "I don’t need you to say anything to me," and also hung up.

I’m truly disappointed. I’ve had positive experiences in the past—Ms. Desiree has always been helpful, professional, and kind—but this situation shows a clear lack of customer service training and accountability. I actually enjoy being a member and hope to return in the future, once I’ve cleaned up the mess caused by someone else’s mistake.

No customer should have to go through this. I only canceled because I had to handle something the right way, since the staff failed to do so on their end.

I reached out to Planet Fitness on March 26, 2025, to confirm any upcoming charges on my account. The manager, Tatyanna, assured me that my account was in good standing and that no additional payments were scheduled, only my regular charge on the 16th of each month. Yet, just days later, on April 1st, my account was unexpectedly hit with a $49 fee, which caused an overdraft.

I specifically called to prevent this exact situation, yet the manager failed to provide accurate information. When I followed up about the charge, she refused to take accountability, offered no apology, and instead shifted the blame onto me, claiming I should have asked about the annual fee, which was just days away, not months in advance. This is unacceptable.

As a paying member who consistently meets their obligations, I expect better service and professionalism. A manager should be knowledgeable, proactive, and take responsibility when mistakes happen. If this is how concerns are handled, I can only imagine how other members are treated. I hope this location reconsiders its management choices, as customer service should be a priority, not an afterthought.

I’m planet Fitness member for about 10 years. Great facility in very minimum fee. Please manage some empty space to do exercise on Matt. You have enough anti fatigue Matts to do self exercise (without equipment), but the is no or very little open/safe space to use it.

I like this gym since it's twenty-four hours, seven days a week. Definitely like this gym. I go to other gyms too, but this is definitely the gym to go to late at night, cuz most of my workouts are done late at night when there's not a big crowd. I don't really like packed out gyms. Just never enough machines when you go to a packed out gym.

This is the worst gym ever. I don't recommend it for anyone, but specially if you're a woman or if you are considering to send your teenagers to work out there. I witnessed an episode of indecent exposure right in the middle of the gym, talked to the receptionist, she said she couldn't do anything but would talk to her manager, that would contact me back in 2 business days. Said the manager would check the cameras. A week passed and the manager never said anything. I tried to contact her by phone and in person and she was never there, I was always told that she had no time to deal with and check the cameras. This should have been a priority!

recently changed this to my home gym even though it’s 30+ minutes out of me way and i do not regret it. the staff is friendly and greet and bid you farwell. the equipment is amazing and there is plenty of it. the gym is clean. the members are friendly, such as tonight i left my phone on a piece of equipment and another member stood next to my phone for me to come back to make sure no one took it. no one stay on a machine so everyone get a set in or they let you work in. it’s 24/7! can’t stay enough great things about it.

Well it was my first time at this specific location. I never had a problem with my membership and/ or bringing a buddy with me. However, after I scanned myself and my buddy in. I went into the restroom to prepare for the day. Soon to be called out and asked to scan my membership again and so I did.

However, unfortunately for me as a women. My first name is a predominantly male’s name. Because of this reason I was asked to show my ID by the receptionist Tatyana. Never have I ever had to show my ID to use MY membership that I’ve had since 2021. I’ve brought a male buddy to a different location in the past year or two ago. She assumed and asked if the picture of my buddy was the owner of my membership because of my name. I told her no and corrected her pronunciation of my name and she requested my ID. As this was going on the other receptionist Bobby was laughing at the misjudgment of his fellow colleague. While I was trying to figure out exactly what is going on with my account. Because once again nothing like this has never happened to me in all 3+ years of having my membership.

This interaction with Tatyana and Bobby was very disturbing as they made me feel uncomfortable to continue my day. I felt stereotyped and misjudged due to my name. She wasn’t the first and I’m 100% positive she won’t be the last. However, it never makes it easier to have to fight for SIMPLE things.

I really hate to be that guy but there’s a younger girl there who’s constantly barking at members and loves to tell people she’s the manager. I love this gym but have been having issue with a specific person. I recently joined the gym with a friend of mine that has been at this gym since 02-//-2024. He never had issues prior too the new assistant manager Kaitlyn. We were rushed off a machine while we were resting in between sets. Constantly harassed every time this worker is scheduled. Everybody else has been nothing but nice too us but this is ruining it for myself and multiple others. I personally just joined the gym gaining motivation too better myself, but feeling very discouraged. Planet fitness’s motto is that this is a safe space and a comfortable place for everybody. This person is making me feel otherwise.

I cancelled my membership at the end of September a day or so before the next bill would be taken out of my bank. I saw I was charged again September and October so I called and cancelled the membership AGAIN last week. One of the most ignorant “sassy” employees working the phone finally did it properly, but the manger refused to refund me since I can’t prove I wasn’t in the gym even though there was no history the entire month of October or the end of September post cancelation. I got ripped off over $50. Absolute disgrace of an establishment.

I canceled my membership months ago and had came to the gym personally because I was just charged this past month, I showed the number (cooperate) I called and was told I never received the confirmation email from the first time I came in. I also didn’t receive it the first time I was in the store and they canceled it until they fixed my email account name. I was told I needed proper documentation and confirmation to have before I talk with them about my account, but my argument is how am I suppose to have that documentation if I didn’t receive it in the first place? I got refunded for the past month when it should have been for the last few. 0/5 stars. I was a member since 2016, and I was absolutely appalled at the service.
UPDATE : The email they make you send all your concerns to are also a sham. It just repeats asking your information and concern and you never talk to a real person. Give me an actual WORK phone number to the owner if cooperate doesn’t handle the concerns appropriately.

real note this location is great, even when they’re packed the wait for machines usually isn’t bad. the staff is also super cool. i’ve seen them helping people lift who asked for help. and rather than “lunk alarming” someone who fit the stereotype, one of the workers walked over to talk to the guy and they both seemed really respectful. the staff members also clean the equipment regularly, if it’s dirty that’s at fault of the person before you, not the gym

it’s open 24h 7 days a week, and you can bring a friend every day for the price of a regular membership at other gyms. it literally does not get better than here.

Always very clean and welcoming! The locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are always kept up with and very spacious. There are a lot of machines to ensure everyone has something and waiting for a machine is practically nonexistent. Everything is well taken care of there. Plus the added tanning booths, and massage chairs are fantastic, especially the hydrotherapy chairs ❤️. Every time you walk in you’re welcomed with a smile by the staff and you can go to them for help if you need and they are more than happy to assist! It’s great! I have been a member for a few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have tried other gyms but PF is the best in my opinion!

I hate to be that person, but I truly think it’s crazy that employees walk around spraying massive amounts of air freshener into the air. I’m sure thats GREAT for everyone to be breathing in unnecessary chemicals??? It's a very clean and comfortable environment. The facility is open 24/7 so you can go on times it's not crowded to use the equipment uninterrupted. The staff is friendly and helpful. Edit 2024: I came here tonight, after coming here since Covid late at night randomly. It’s not my home gym, but this staff has always been really great. Until now. I guess my annual fee bounced, and the lady at the front desk treated me like I was the scum of the earth because my account was delinquent. it’s the worst treatment I’ve ever received a Planet Fitness ever. I was so embarrassed, and I wasn’t able to afford to pay it. my friend is also a black card holder and got me in as a guest. I went to work out and then the lady was really rude to my friend after and tried to teach her how to use the tanning bed when she has used it in the past regularly. This used to be my go to late night planet fitness spot, but not anymore.

2020: Such a great gym, staff is so friendly and the night shift worker resse has been so great in answering our questions! Resse works front desk and is amazing, always in a good mood, happy to see people, and holds great conversation. We called to ask about our membership and the new regulations and she was so polite, had good phone manners, and wasn’t annoyed with the extra questions. The gym is clean and nicely decorated and I’ve has such a positive experience coming back! Thank you planet fitness !

Do not let your teenager join. My daughter went to cancel and they talked her into putting the account on freeze. She is 18 now and should be free for the summer according to their ads. My bank account gets charged, so I file a dispute. A few days later the credit card I made my daughter an authorized user on also gets charged. They have never charged the credit card in the year she has been a member. Thieves taking advantage of teenagers. I hear there is a new place opening in a few days nearby.

This was my first Time visiting this location. It was the closest Planet Fitness to me that was 24 hours and I was needing to work out super early to catch a flight. My local gym opened at seven so wasn’t an option. This gym is actually really nice. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Specifically Alex at the front desk, she very personable and accommodating. I’ve been to a couple of Planet Fitness gyms and dealt with different employees, and Alex, by far was the most helpful and pleasant. Thank you Alex!

As usual, I was jumping rope at the West Muffin gym and a staff member told me not to jump rope inside the gym. He said you can go outside and jump there. I've been coming here for two months to jump rope and the employee ruined my workout and my mood.

I just recently canceled my membership after almost 8 years. Between work and medication schedule, I am not able to come here during the overnight or early morning hours when it is not as busy. This place is very busy during the hours that I am able to come (6:00 to 8:30 PM) during the week days. There are also people that love to tie up the equipment by playing on their phones. Even when they see you waiting for their machine.
Weekends and Friday evenings used to be slower, less crowded time to come here. That has changed in the last six months. Yes, the place is inexpensive and they have lots of equipment, which covers every workout. However, many people do not have an extra 30-45 minutes to spend standing around waiting on equipment.

Stopped here to inquire about whirlpool and sauna facilities, which are nonexistent. The interior design (i.e.: paint scheme) is entirely too dark in my opinion (black and purple), which conveys a feeling of uncleanliness. Certainly not what I would look for in a health/fitness facility.

Love this location. Huge with lots of equipment, staff is great, never too crowded and the tanning beds actually are AC (some places get too hot and never has cold air back there) most times even have a FAN in them! It’s actually relaxing instead of feeling like you’re in tanning hell 🥵

I regret to report my recent dissatisfaction with the cancellation process for my longstanding Planet Fitness membership. This planet fitness location has been going downhill for years and in the past they gave me difficulty for trying to cancel a membership I no longer needed, but decided to give PF another try. Despite following specific instructions provided by manager Kailyn, I discovered that my account remained active after being charged again due to a remaining balance that I was never informed about when I called the club previously on instructions to cancel. Subsequent communication revealed that additional payment was required to finalize the cancellation, directly conflicting with Kailyn's guidance. Furthermore, Kailyn's lack of professionalism only compounded my frustration. I was told my membership would be canceled if I sent in a letter, so to see that I was charged yet another month after belief that my membership was formally cancelled, is poor customer service. If there was a remaining charge I questioned why it wasn't simply charged and my account closed? Instead, I was charged an unauthorized membership fee after cancelling for another month of membership that I was told would no longer be active. As a loyal patron, I had anticipated a smoother process and more respectful treatment from Planet Fitness. I haven’t used this membership since May of 2023 due to no longer living in the area and the process to cancel a membership here is very outdated (after Covid you should be able to cancel a gym membership online) and just overall a bad experience speaking to multiple team members who give me inaccurate information when I simply want to end my membership. I know I am not the only one who had a poor experience with this planet fitness location, so hopefully this review can help others avoid the poor experience and sketchy business practices of this gym. They lure you in with cheap memberships and “easy” sign ups, but customer service is nonexistent here. This experience has not only inconvenienced me financially but also highlighted notable deficiencies in the company's customer service protocols. I sincerely hope that Planet Fitness takes swift action to address this matter, refund the unauthorized charge, and implement improvements to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Disappointing Experience with Planet Fitness Membership Cancellation

I'm deeply disappointed by the treatment I received when attempting to cancel my girlfriend’s Planet Fitness membership, where she has been a member held for a decade. Following specific instructions given by manager Kailyn, we believed the cancellation was processed. However, she was charged again, indicating her account was still active. When we reached out, I was informed that even more payment was required to complete the cancellation, contradicting Kailyn's instructions. Additionally, Kailyn's rude demeanor during our interaction only exacerbated the situation.

As a loyal customer, we expected better treatment and respect from Planet Fitness. This experience not only inconvenienced us financially but also highlighted significant flaws in the company's customer service procedures. I hope Planet Fitness takes immediate action to rectify this situation, refund the unauthorized charge, and improve their customer service standards.

Bathrooms have mildew near faucets in the shower. Shower curtains are not wide enough. But other than that very clean. The night crew are pretty awesome.

Almost no free weights, no barbells for benching, it's small, and it's so purple inside that it's almost dizzying. I wanted to do a trial workout before signing up. Guy at the counter wants all my personal info and to take a picture of me just for a trial day, not to mention he seemed kind of miserable. I reluctantly went along with it, gave an old address, got in a halfazz workout, and left knowing I'm not going to be back. Oh and the "lunk alarm"...gimme a break. Makes ya afraid to make a peep or drop a weight on the floor or set something down too hard. Hard pass.

Front desk clerk Dome is very rude and there is lot of space for him to learn customer service. Company should spend good amount so time and money to educate and help the staff to learn customer service. Dome treats my friend so badly and has cancelled their subscription too without any notice supporting his ego. I do not recommend this place for anyone.

This staff at planet fitness name dome is very racist towards to my friend who went today for the first time to planet fitness, he didn’t mention us that if you signup visiter pass you can try for a day, he instead ask us $20 for a day, my friend want to see and try planet fitness equipment since his gym La fitness closed in Pleasant Hill, but he couldn’t let him try few equipment and he started to argue with us, he called us some Bad words, my friend argue but I didn’t say a word, I was not disrespectful towards this guy name dome, and than he went inside and cancel all our membership. How can he do that to me. Because of this guy I’m feeling very stress. I don’t recommend planet fitness to anyone and how can you hire such a rude and racist guy to a gym that says no judge zone. If you’re not white he will treat you very disrespectfully.
