Prana Das is an amazing studio. The teachers are experienced and thoughtful in their teaching style. I am grateful to have Nadia and Derek (the studio owners) as both teachers and friends. Check it out!

Practicing Yoga at Prana Das feels like you are doing yoga with a purpose, not like doing yoga at the gym. I love how Derek and Nadia relate yoga to everyday life experiences during class. They also provide feedback about our practice and are attentive to our movements, making corrections or helping when necessary. The studio has a welcoming and peaceful vibe, which I appreciate a lot. They also offer other activities beyond classes, such as training, talks and other events. Very happy that I joined.

Everyone at Prana Das that I'e interacted with work from a space of integrity and commitment. They're a reflection of the true purpose of yoga -- carrying all the great things that happen on the mat off into their day.

I am always welcomed to Prana Das by the smell of a citrus infusion, freshly brewed tea, a clean environment, friendly staff, and an inclusive community. There is a focus on wellness in the schedule of daily Ashtanga classes and private sessions. I can participate in teacher training, special workshops, and study with amazing guests like David Swenson. The teachers are experienced, well-trained, and available to answer questions and provide assistance. They offer a variety of healing arts including myofascial massage, mindfulness practices, and meditation sessions. There is a lovely shop with essential oils, crystals, and some yoga apparel, mats, and books. All in all, it's a great place to practice and meet with friends!

Prana Das yoga is the best. Derek and Nadia have created an environment of warmth and learning and, someone new to the area, I’ve been grateful to find this wonderful community. There are classes all throughout the day, which is great for busy people aka pretty much all of us. Finally, in addition to challenging, theory-based classs, they offer a lot of additional services such as yoga therapy, mindfulness classes, myofascial massage, etc - there is something for everyone.

The atmosphere of the studio is very welcoming, spiritual, and peaceful. The instructors are great and give helpful corrections. The studio really feels like a community, rather than just a center that offers yoga classes. I also like that Prana Das has mindfulness classes and other unique workshops. I'm looking forward to taking more classes!

Love this yoga studio! My daughter introduced me to it back in December. We enjoyed a special package for one month unlimited classes. Just got back there this week and walking in, I feel an instant calm. Decided to get the 5 class package. Instructors are excellent and I never feel pressured to "keep up with the yogis." I do as much as I can physically and always leave feeling wonderful.

I love Prana House so much...it became my go to yoga spot when I moved to the area. I enjoy the variety of class times offered, I am always able to squeeze in all the yoga I need into my week. Additionally having enjoyed most of my time at this point while pregnant, I appreciated all the knowledge the teachers were able to provide in helping guide me to safe modifications. I was still able to challenge myself even at 39 weeks pregnant. Absolutely love Derek and Nadia, they are wonderful teachers, have a very friendly attitude, and a warm welcoming space. Whether you are new to yoga or enjoy a challenge with deepening your practice, they have you covered.

I have never before been inclined to write a review for a company (this is, indeed, my first online review), but my Prana Das experiences have been so utterly positive and inspiring that I felt this review was more than necessary and already long overdue. I started going to Prana Das (then Prana House) this past summer and was immediately taken aback by the tranquility of the studio. It is such a peaceful space with amazing lighting and the most beautiful succulents hanging from the ceiling and lining the window sills. The wooden rafters, eccentric paintings on the walls, and occasionally burning incense add to the calming ambiance. More importantly, the owners, Nadia and Derek, are two of the kindest, most welcoming and generous people I know. Coming into the studio and seeing them always brightens my day. The yoga classes themselves are excellent and there is a wide range of offerings. Each instructor brings something different to the table--a specific teaching style or particular taste in music or their own inspiring mantra--and makes you feel comfortable in your practice, whether you're a beginner or an advanced yogi. There are also nice discounts for students and if you bring a friend, their first class is free (they always come back for another class!). All in all, I really cannot say enough about this studio and the sense of community that is fostered here. I feel so lucky to have discovered Prana Das. It's my little oasis. A special escape from the pressures of the outside world. I will certainly miss seeing Nadia, Derek, and the rest of the Prana Das crew once I graduate from Haverford College this spring.

It was great to learn that they offer Ashtanga based classes. Being as though I live in the burbs of Philly the only other option for Ashtanga is all the way in Center City. The space has a great aura about it. You're welcomed with the faint smell of incense burning and traditional yogi music. What else can I say about the staff except that they are very warm and welcoming. The owners are truly genuine people that show a true passion towards their yoga family! I would recommend this home of yoga to anyone looking for the true yoga experience!

I was visiting from out of town and dropped in for a Saturday class--WOW! Such a great flow and was definitely challenged to try new poses (in a good way). I've been practicing for 4 years and would put this towards the top of my best experiences. I'll be back!

I admire Prana House Yoga Studio's efforts in authenticity to the history of the practices of Yoga Philosophy. The members of this studio, especially Nadia and Derek, sustain an effort to keep learning, to keep pursuing purity, to maintain positivity in all that they endeavor to accomplish in their business and life. Prana House becomes not just an emblem of good karmic resonance for all to adapt to but also an ideal vision of seeking out the beauty and truth in this world respectfully. I love Prana House Yoga Studio!

Can't say enough Prana House as a total yoga newbie... Derek is incredibly patient and understanding with even the most inflexible of beginners (me) but shows a level of rigor and experience that the most nimble main-liner would appreciate. More than yoga - this is a place where I get better and right myself from day-to-day craziness.

So, I may be a little biased commenting on my own sister's yoga studio, but Derek and Nadia thoughtful, conscientious teachers always learning more about yoga and never hesitating to drop what they're doing for a conversation with a fellow yogi. I've taken classes with Derek, and he was and continues to be an energetic and patient practitioner who has overcome his own frustrations with yoga to be a positive role model for his students. Prana House Yoga is an awesome space with excellent vibes. You won't regret that full-year package.

Oh how I love Prana House Yoga!!! Located in Haverford Square right down the road from my house in Ardmore, it’s an ideal location to practice. Owners Derek and Nadia have created an incredibly warm, welcoming and peaceful environment at the studio. PHY is a judgment free zone, offers a wide variety of classes and has something to offer yoga practitioners of all levels. I have especially enjoyed Pamela’s Sunday evening restorative classβ€”what a wonderful way to end the weekend!

Prana House Yoga (newly opened in Haverford Square) has a great vibe! The studio feels comfortable and inviting and the staff is warm and welcoming. I really appreciate Nadia's teaching style. She clearly articulates what specific parts of the body should be doing during different poses. This kind of clear instruction and expertise is exactly what I need and look for in a yoga teacher! She helps me optimize my poses and make them better than they were before. It's easy to get in the habit of doing a pose the same way every time. Nadia gives me the tools I need to continually improve my poses and improve my practice. She has beautiful energy - very accepting and encouraging (and fun too)! I feel like I am in the best of hands when I practice yoga with her. Derek is also wonderful. He has a positive attitude and an uplifting energy that is contagious! Derek specializes in restorative work - helping those with physical limitations and injuries return to their optimum health. His expertise in this area is such a gift for those who need this specific type of support in their yoga practice. I'm so grateful that Prana Yoga House has come to the Main Line area. We needed a yoga studio like this!

I've known Derek and Nadia for a long time and was very excited to hear they were opening Prana House Yoga right around the corner from my house in Ardmore. I've dabbled in Yoga here and there over the years but am excited to be giving it a solid try with old friends!! I truly cannot recommend stopping in more. All the teachers I've had so far have been attentive (important as a beginner) and extremely knowledgeable. They are wonderful people, accomplished yogis, and wonderful friends to have!! Stop in for a class and join the growing community. You won't regret it!!
