Brenda is an amazing coach! She is very attentive to each runner and their needs and goals. She individualizes programs to suit each runner.
Personally, she helped me tidy up my running to achieve my goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon which I ultimately ran twice with her coaching!
Her insight and wisdom is vast and meaningful!

Brenda is an excellent coach. She meets you where you are and helps you get where you want to be. She’s well versed in fueling and hydration techniques, and is more than capable to help you meet your goals whether that be your first 5k, or an ultra marathon. She’s passionate, educated, kind, patient and super communicative with texts and emails. I set personal bests multiple times with her coaching and I highly recommend her to anyone , beginner or seasoned. She knows how to recommend different types of stretching and strength work as well for total body conditioning and fitness, all custom tailored to each individual client. Brenda is a seasoned runner, and a wonderful human. You won’t find a better coach around here. 10/10

I don't normally write reviews but I will for this. I'm start with I'm not a fast runner. I had 2 artificial joints when I started and used aids to even walk. Brenda researched and found workouts for me. I now have 3 joints replaced and still getting it done. All this because of Brenda. She meets you where you are in your effort. If you have any special things going on she'll work with you on it. She will help you get to where your trying to go no matter the distance.

I can’t say enough good things about Brenda and her coaching. She’s has a perfect balance of pushing her athletes to reach their potential, but also understands when life happens. I personally have been working with Brenda for 2 years and have seen massive improvements in my running. These include an hour off my marathon time, 15 minutes and counting off my half marathon time, and 3 minutes off my 5k time. No matter what your experience, I would highly recommend!

Brenda helped coach me to my first marathon! She helped me find a training plan that fit my busy mom/family and work life. I would absolutely recommend her if you are looking for a down to earth coach who knows that life is busy and training has to fit around it.

Keeping in mind that this is virtual run coaching this service is as good as the person implementing the plan and willing to do the work. It works great in that they lay out a plan for a race or races and tune it as time passes. I loved having a structure and not having to think about what I needed to run on a particular day. It took some time to trust the process and just go with it. I will say I would have benefited more from a little more structured feedback as I got more experienced. I have been running for quite a while and just had been taking it seriously with Run 717. Overall, it was good start to getting introduced to a run coach and I look forward to more in the future! I shaved seconds and minutes off all PRs (5k to marathon) within a year!

I highly recommend Brenda and Run717. I initially thought I was "only" getting a running plan. Brenda looked at me holistically. I received a plan for nutrition, rest, strengthening, stability and running.

Brenda is fantastic. After having shin splints on and off for about 2 years, she was able to get me comfortably running upwards of 90 miles/month! And through her training regiment she pulled about 3 minutes off my 5k time. Can’t recommend her highly enough. She listens, creates, and adapts your training plan for what you need. Well worth the cost.

You want to become a better runner this is the place to be! Brenda helped me take my marathon time down from 3hours and 52 minutes to 3 hours and 8 minutes. Without her help, I would still be making the same mistakes. GO SIGN UP NOW!

Brenda was CRUCIAL in my preparation for my first marathon! She took me through all the necessary steps; from training and strategy, to fueling and recovery! She was patient with my questions and responsive to my needs. I appreciated her flexibility with me as I worked through my goals, not only in the marathon, but other events on my calendar! I highly recommend her if you want to improve or prepare for a new running goal!

When I started working with Brenda I was a new masters runner struggling with injuries every time I would try to increase my mileage beyond 10-12 miles per week. Brenda worked with me and when those niggles came up we worked together and adjusted the schedule accordingly. I now feel stronger and safely handling more mileage than I have ever been able to do.

When I first started I was afraid I wouldn’t be fast or experienced enough for coaching. I quickly realized this was not a problem and appreciated Brenda’s encouragement and truly caring about my running goals and me as a person. I would highly recommend anyone, regardless of their experience or goals, to try coaching with run717.

I was referred to Brenda from a friend who had used her coaching service in the past. I was running my second official marathon and I wanted to finish under 4 hours but couldn’t seem to get any faster on my own.

Brenda developed a plan for me with weekly speed work that helped so much! She answered all my questions along the way and I really couldn’t have asked for more out of a coach. Brenda helped me with fueling while running too which was a lifesaver!

I met my goal this past weekend, finishing the Pittsburgh marathon in 3:53:43 (15 min PR from my precious finishing time of 4:08). Investing in my goal was one of the better decisions I’ve made!

Would absolutely recommend Brenda to anyone and I can’t wait to work with her again.

My 13 year old daughter ran with the junior practices this winter and loved it....she was excited about the practices and saw her speed improve over her winter racing season. The coaches worked really well with the kids, there were lots of coaches per kid, and the workouts were well planned out for the age group and communication was great!

I would recommend Brenda’s coaching to anyone who is interested in leveling up their running or anyone who wants to learn more about running. Her expert advice helped me train smarter, avoid injury, and confidently lay down a marathon PR. Coach Brenda answered my questions as they came up and guided me with resources and expertise over about 5 months. My only regret is living in Indiana so I couldn’t join any group runs! Thanks for all your help, Brenda!

Coach Brenda has been the architect of a running renaissance for me. I have run since the age of 12 (now approaching 35 years in the sport). I ran cross-country and track & field in high school and college, and converted to longer distances post-professional school. Throughout my running life, I faced injuries that often left me on the sidelines and unable to not only compete but simply enjoy the everyday purpose of running. Although I have been relatively injury free the past ten years, I had plateaued and was struggling with balancing career, life, and the hope of continuing to run for both health and competitive purposes. I have been working with Coach Brenda for about a year and a half, referred by my wife who is a national caliber marathoner and triathlete. Coach Brenda has rebuilt my approach to the sport, has provided honest feedback, and has put me on course to truly enjoy the sport I have identified with most of my life. This year, I have set a personal best for the Marathon (3:04:07) and have a best for miles in a calendar year since my college days. I appreciate Brenda’s commitment not only to my running but my/our overall well being.

I can’t thank Coach Brenda enough. As someone new to running, I needed help on gaining strength, avoiding injury, and staying motivated. Brenda has guided me on all of that, and helped me see real progress. One of the best decisions I made in 2020 was starting to work with Brenda.

In less than a year under Brenda’s guidance I’ve built confidence and strength that have taken my running to the next level. Brenda’s coaching is a balance of challenging, diverse workouts mixed with compassionate, encouraging feedback. She always takes time to communicate in a specific, personal way. Even though she coaches a lot of athletes I feel like I matter to her.

I love her constant communication and feedback and I was able to PR after 7 months of consistent training in every distance, 5k 10k Half Marathon and Marathon! The PRs did not come overnight, but they will come and they came when only training for the marathon. I look forward to doing specific 5k training and wonder how much more I can improve!

I'm a recreational runner with no big aspirations, but Brenda was still willing and able to help me improve! She has the knowledge and experience to work with beginners and with local "pros" to get results. With her, you'll get a customized plan - not some cookie cutter solution.

I was overweight, unfit, and slow when I reached out to Brenda at RUN717. Working with her turned out to be the best decision ever. The weeks and months that followed, my fitness level continued to improve and I felt stronger than I had with any previous attempt at being a runner. Even though I'm overweight and slow, Brenda never made me feel like I was. Her genuine love of helping people reach their goals spans across all levels! Shes the bomb!
