One of the hardest things to live without during this pandemic for me was the closure of Shape Training and the loss of the wonderful group training. The class instructors (Gail Evans-Potter ROCKS!!) provide challenging, ever-changing, enjoyable classes for all ages. I cannot think of a better value for personally training with group instruction. The vibe of the physical location is cool and the covered parking area is another bonus.

After being a member for a year, I would not recommend a gym membership here, especially if you're under 60 years old. Too expensive ($45 a month for month to month or $40 a month for a yearly commitment) for the terrible hours and the very little equipment they do have.

Positives: Indoor track, friendly front desk staff (Peg and all the staff desk staff are great), covered parking and Porter (the one trainer's dog - he gets the second star). Some good trainers (and some not too good though).

Negatives: Terrible hours, especially weekends. Closed every holiday. Basically if you work 9-5 you can expect them to be closed most of the time you are not working. NO AIR CONDITIONING - This makes the gym regularly between 85 and 90 degrees May - September - unbearable to work out in. So hot in there I even saw a guy bring his own pedestal fan in to carry around with him. VERY limited cardio equipment. Only 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 2 bikes. If anything breaks, don't expect it to get fixed. A couple months into my year there a bike and a rower needed fixed...8 months later they were still not fixed. Any classes free with admission are geared toward retirees. The classes that aren't geared towards silver sneakers are $17 each (overpriced). The small group classes were often started late and run poorly. Too much time spent standing around waiting for trainer to figure out what is next when the class is that expensive. My wife did like Sabrina's classes best so if you would like to try a class. Locker rooms need redone - they are old and kind of dingy.

Long time members have said it used to be much better when it was Keystone and has kind of gone downhill since Shape took over. I hope it gets back to its glory days so I could rejoin because of its convenient location for me.

To compare it to a national gym, it's kind of like Crunch. Similar trainers, training style and gym but with 90% less equipment, worse hours and less amenities but for double the price.

Staff is rude and unprofessional.

I signed up about a yr or more ago through boxing. I enjoyed the gym and its features. I also enjoyed the coaches although they can be a bit rude. I wanted the cancel my membership but everytime I wanted to they kept telling me they cant and the people who can arent available. Whenever I ask when they would be I was told they dont know. The people at the front desk lie saying there is no number for the other location which there is. They lie about when to come in to cancel or flat out make no effort tp find out and dont follow through with calling back to cancel.

They dont charge people the same rates to join/have a membership either. I paid 10 dollars less than my friend once he signed up and it almost feels like your being tricked to join with a coach. They are very aggressive with selling you a membership by trying to "get to know you" and convince you this place is the best option for you and no other gym is.

Keystone Health Club was GREAT!. Since Shape took over, they have targeted a 'younger' audience, concentrated on hard-sell training tactics to add more revenue, and are not concerned about individual needs. Do not recommend.

There is so much I could say about why I think joining Keystone Heath Club was the right choice for me. In the words of Connie Tinsley's "Keystone Health Club is really a friendly neighborhood gym/health club". It's just the right size or fit. Being a little smaller sometimes has it's advantages. You really get to know the people you take classes with and not to mention the staff. All of the classes I have taken have amazing instructors, who are not only knowledgable in the class they teach, but they go the extra mile and what I mean by that is they will take the time to help you by focusing on the right techniques so you don't get injured and they really care about your needs. I have recently decided to work with a personal trainer/nutrition counselor, Bryan Arndt, who I can't say enough about, but he has helped me really make the changes in my life that were needed that without his help I would of never been able to do. I can't thank him enough for his knowledge and the way he approaches his style of training. He's just amazing and would highly recommend him to anyone. I would also, like to take this time to say a personal thank you to Gail Evans-Potter, the general manager at Keystone Health Club. I went to her and asked if Keystone would be willing to help me with a cause that I am passionate about with no hesitation she was willing to help out and she gave of her own time in valuable ways, because Gail has a lot of experience with charitable causes. Keystone is a health club that gives back to a lot of charities through out the year. But what I think is just amazing and touches my heart is the way the staff and members care about one another. When I asked for help a lot of the members stepped by to the plate to help me and so did my health club Keystone. We really are a friendly neighborhood health club. I just want to say thank you Keystone and my friends.

The cross-fit classes are great. I highly recommend them. I think the pricing represents excellent value for the money in terms of real results.

The other aspects of the gym are also good -- they have a good variety of other types of classes and a good selection of aerobic and weight machines.

I would recommend it for the results and the friendly atmosphere.

It's a decent gym with friendly associates/trainers. Somewhat over priced though, and kind of confusing to get to. (If your driving you have to follow the signs to the top level of the parking garage and walk down a hall to get to it).
