Not a bad gym especially if you are powerlifter. Has tons of machines but most of them are hoist and have a limited range of motion like the abductor, adductor, leg extension, lateral raise, the tricep extension machine and v squat are a little awkward and the seated leg curl has an imbalance

Best gym I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to several. Great environment, clean, love the layout, and the energy is very positive. Rarely do I ever have to wait to use a piece of equipment. I never feel intimidated or out of place either. Absolutely recommend this place!

The place is clean and well kept. Most of the people are busy working out, but will acknowledge you with a smile and hello. The equipment is in great shape. There is 24/7 access to the place, so there isn't a reason to miss any workouts. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in going to a gym.

Awesome gym. Great selection of equipment and free weights. The place is always clean and people are honest. You could leave your wallet behind and someone will place it on the communal table for you to find when you come back. Best gym in Indiana, hands down.

Excellent and clean gym. Everyone there is respectful, friendly, and minds their own. 24 hours and easily accessible. However, recently I have been trying to cancel my membership because I won’t have the funds and I’ll be moving soon. I haven’t been able to reach any workers by phone or the owner by email. This gym is kind of self-run. Everyone that goes in holds themselves to a standard so I don’t think anyone is really in at the front desk. But I wish there was a better way to get a hold of the workers. I’m hoping they get back to me before they auto draft the payment. Otherwise, very great gym and would recommend over every other gym in Indiana.

Update: Mike finally got back to me and cancelled the membership in time. Props to this gym, it’s a great place to be.

I should preface by saying that I'm a night owl and typically come here off-hours, so my experience may not reflect what most people coming right after work or early in the morning will experience. That being said. I love this gym. The management is nice, pricing is fair, it's always clean, cleaning spray and paper towels are always available, and there are so many different types of equipment for any muscle I've ever wanted to target. Also because access is locked by fingerprint scan I never feel uneasy with randoms coming in off the street or anything. If I was forced to pick one thing I don't like I guess it'd be that handle attachments for the cable machines are usually just laying next to the machines instead of neatly placed on the storage hooks, but that's a very minor inconvenience imo.

I love this gym.....
It's a very good size gym and there is plenty of different equipments to use whatever you need to exercise it's there I recommended 100% if I go back to Indiana for work I definitely will go to SOBEK again

Although I've been ignoring all the concerns I have regarding this gym, today I encountered an issue that cannot tolerate on all the levels there are. After I went to ask one of the staff members how would they like it if I had my sports bra off to draw attention about a member who was entirely topless, the topless member said - and I quote - your shirt is already off, then he proceeded to yell at me and call me names. I've discussed a similar issue happened with this particular member couple of months back with the owner, and the owner assured me that this member wouldn't bother me anymore, but here we are. One star isn't even fair for the discrimination and sexism I encountered today at the gym. Disgusting.

The gym overall isn’t terrible- but there should be more maintenance of all the not working treadmills, ellipticals, etc. But I picked this gym over any other for the “free tanning” that comes with a monthly package. I came to the gym just to find that the tanning bed is a standing bed in a foldable closet of the women’s locker room. The door of the dressing area does not latch, and the door to the tanning bed is very difficult to open/close, making it kind of scary to even use. The controls of this bed barely even work.

They also leave the tanning bed open and unattended 24/7, which is illegal.

I also only wanted a gym package for one month (which is a crazy $30/mo), but somehow got billed for several months after I stopped going. When I realized this and called, the owner told me he can’t refund me all the money and hung up on me. I called back, he said he can refund me one month but there’s nothing else he can do. He can even see that I haven’t been there in months because of the sign in log; but just does not want to refund me.

Could be a much better place but unfortunately it’s not. Very disappointed with management as well.

Description of entrances:

One entrance is by the Drivers License Center. You have to walk a little through the mall for this one.

One entrance is to the right of New Life Community Church. It's a grey door that says Sobek. This entrance is directly into the gym. (I completely missed this one).

I haven't been back to town in awhile, so I was a little confused about getting into the mall. Hope this helps someone.

I like the gym! First impression is it's a good place to come in and get a workout done. Lots of space and equipment. 5 squat racks. They have an erg. I signed up!

It's a cool gym with loads of space and a good variety of equipment. So far the best Gym in Indiana and I like the fact that ur not tied to a contract, so u can pay as you go. Been coming here for a month now and am very happy with the laid back atmosphere. The only thing I dislike is folks who come in, stand around the machines and chatter like it's a pub, or sit on the machines and fiddle with their phones instead of working out and we that came to work out are robbed of using the machines and end up just doing floor exercises just so we haven't wasted gym time. There's plenty of space in the mall and the parking lot to chat!! Hopefully the management can address this, as thats why I left my previous gym because it became more of a chatter club than a gym. I appreciate that it's 24 hours but most of us have schedules and gym time can only be done at specific times. Other than that, I overall like it and recommend.

Recently I submitted a question on their website and received no response. Their website states that Mon-Fri their desk hours are open until 8PM. A friend and I have stopped by SEVERAL times without being able to come purchase a membership. The first time we came, it was 7:45PM and the gate was down. The next time we tried, it was 7:30PM. Then, when we tried at 7:10PM, the gate was still down! Closing your front access 50 minutes before your actual closing time? That’s unacceptable and we’ve given up trying to go to your gym. We’re busy throughout the day and cannot come earlier to purchase memberships.

I loved this gym since the day I joined but am a little disappointed in the reopening in the mall. Very nice and still get a great workout in but miss having a shower and bigger bathrooms. Liked the feel of the older building alot better too but will say this is first week open and I'm sure great things are still in store.
