I had such an amazing time exercising at Studio U! It was challenging but truly so much fun. Lisa is so encouraging and although I don’t live in PA and am, unfortunately, not a regular member of Studio U I felt such a strong and palpable sense of community. Whether you are just visiting the area or are looking for a new regular fitness studio I highly recommend Studio U.
P.S. They have everything you could want from a workout studio: free water bottles and snacks, multiple weight racks for each person, even a beautiful space to get ready after your class.

Lisa was amazing to work with! I had the opportunity to shadow Lisa at the gym for a couple of weeks and got to sit in on a few workouts. She takes the time to learn everything about her clients, teaches and corrects techniques along the way, and creates a positive environment to work out. I loved working with her and I cannot wait to go back!

I have been going to StudioU for almost a year and it has been the absolute best thing I could have ever done for myself. I am no spring chicken (nearly 62) and was about to give in to the “just getting older” mentality until I saw my daughter’s transformation from StudioU. After the first week or two I was already feeling the positivity, and had such a renewed energy. Lisa (and Kim!) are awesome trainers. They are very knowledgeable and truly care about each individual that comes through the door. The personalized attention has allowed me to accomplish things I would not have imagined a year ago. The nutritional counseling Lisa has also provided me has been the cherry on top. My weight is down, my cholesterol is down, and my mood, mental disposition, energy, and strength are all way up.
The studio is pristine and so welcoming. No intimidation, just an awesome challenging workout with awesome trainers and great people. Love this place!

Studio U is a gem of a gym. I am very fortunate that I found it almost a year ago. It is not your Planet Fitness or Orange Theory place, but the next level short of having a personal trainer. At a fraction of the cost.
You will not find the ubiquitous tread mills or rowing machines there, but a small number of well-equipped stations loaded with weights, dumbbells, benches, TRX lines and other equipment.
Lisa is an amazing trainer with a larger-than-life personality. She prepares different routines every week for a maximum workout benefit. She gives personal attention to everyone, with an amazing focus on correcting your form and encouragement to push yourself to the max of your abilities. She also makes everything fun, including raffles for top-of-the-line products, be it Vuori, Yeti, dinners with her clients (we all know each other!), or a weekend at Jersey Shore!
I selfishly hope that Studio U does not go viral too quickly because I won’t be able to book my appointments.

StudioU is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve loved working out at home but wasn’t making any gains on my own. I really wanted someone to come alongside me and teach how and what to do. I was quite nervous to start but Lisa is so great!! She made me feel welcome and comfortable so quickly. Plus I got that 1 on 1 attention I wanted and needed. My daughter and I joined StudioU four months ago and I can't say enough good things about it!! Lisa, owner and trainer, is absolutely incredible. She possess a high level of expertise in human physiology and physical fitness. She listens, understands, and caters to every one of the members, ensuring that each workout is tailored to our individual needs.
The classes at StudioU are fantastic. They fly by so fast because they are so engaging and challenging. When I leave a class, I know that I've had a great workout and pushed myself to new limits.
StudioU is clean, modern, and very well-equipped. You have your own station with every imaginable weight you might need. I have noticed a significant improvement in my strength, body tone, endurance, and overall fitness level since joining.

StudioU is simply the best! Even after moving away, whenever I come back to visit family, I make working out there a priority. I haven’t found a better option anywhere else. Love this gym! I recently celebrated one year attending classes here. Lisa is kind, concerned and attentive in each class. She listens to any of my concerns, answers questions and makes accommodations on the spot tailored towards my personal needs.Workouts are challenging and designed to be upbeat. StudioU has been instrumental to me in so many ways. The trainers are absolutely the best and have the perfect balance of everything you need: professionalism, knowledge, and true care and concern. They all love what they do and are eager to share it and make you love it too. They have helped me recognize certain weaknesses in my posture and joints that I wasn’t even aware of and are huge proponents of proper form to prevent injuries. They are extremely well educated to deal with existing injuries and tailor regiments specifically for you. The format has been the game changer for me, as no two weeks of my life are ever the same which makes “keeping a schedule” really difficult. I can pick and choose what days and times I go which has been crucial for my own consistency in exercise. Every class is different and challenging and can ALWAYS be modified to accommodate anyone’s limitations. It’s a wholesome environment that pushes me in the best possible way and I genuinely look forward to going to every class.

I found StudioU when I relocated back to the area and needed to not only get to a gym, but also get motivated to do so! Lisa and her team are genuine, encouraging, and enthusiastic. The space is clean and welcoming with a changing room, free waters, and occasionally Lisa’s homemade protein snacks. Even when every workout leaves you sweaty and saying that was hard, you’ll want to come back! Lisa works with all your fitness goals and provides the necessary support to help get you there… she is very knowledgeable and helped me work out safely throughout my entire pregnancy… I could not have done it without her ! Now that I’m postpartum, I have new fitness goals and I’m so grateful to have Lisa and Studio U there along for the ride!

Love StudioU! The trainers are motivating, knowledgeable and encouraging. I came to Studio U looking for something new. I have been lifting weights for several years, and after time stopped feeling that day-after muscle soreness that tells you your muscles are responding. Since coming to Studio U I have started to feel that burn again and am excited about my workouts. The beauty of Studio U is that Lisa and her team meet you where you are, whether it’s your first time lifting or whether you have been working out for years. I just celebrated my year anniversary at Studio U and I can not say enough wonderful things about Lisa and all of the people I work out with. I was never a gym person ,but from the first class I knew I had found my comfort zone to workout that I had been looking for. I am 50 years old and have never felt stronger. Lisa believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself. So if you are thinking about trying out Studio U... do it you will be sooo thrilled that you did. I had never had a personal trainer and have always struggled to stay disciplined and work out. But after the Pandemic I gained a lot of unwelcome weight. I also kept injuring myself and knew that it was because I was out of shape and had little strength. I got information from Lisa but was still skeptical. Then I had an ankle strain while doing something as little as running down my driveway to catch the mail truck. I realized that as I aged it would only get worse unless I did something about it. I signed up for StudioU Fitness and am SO glad I did. After one month, I was able to set up tables and chairs for an event with NO injury or strain to my ankles or back. After three months, I was able to vacation with my family to National Parks out west and go on hikes with them with very little trouble. I'm already stronger and can see the change in my body. Lisa is a positive coach who personalizes my workouts for me and encourages me to keep at it. I also love the community I found at this fitness center. I've made new friends and learn new things every week. If you are looking for a workout that fits YOU and your needs, StudioU is it!

I’m no stranger to the gym, I love a good workout, in a space where I feel challenged & encouraged to work at my own personal best. The attention I receive @ StudioU from my trainer Lisa, has literally been the most helpful for my form, my strength gain & my 1 hour mental health. The deal @ StudioU is, show up, engage in the process, trust the process & work. The work however, is what you can do. Lisa always has modifications and everyone is working out, but at their pace. I started working out at StudioU a little less than a year ago, right after I found out my dad would permanently be in a nursing home due to dementia. At age 30, this was the hardest news I had ever received and I wasn’t sure how I would function each day. In addition to this, I had been coasting mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually for the past 2 years. StudioU centered me in each of these areas just by me simply showing up for each workout. In the beginning I started StudioU to survive, now I go to StudioU to thrive! The BEST decision I've ever made!!!!
I have been part of StudioU for just 6 weeks. With the encouragement of a friend, I took a leap of faith, as I really believed the weight gain and difficulty with movement I was experiencing was just the way it was for me in this season of life. I’ve trained with personal trainers in the past and none of them have had the expertise that Lisa does. Rather than pushing me to meet arbitrary goals, she focuses in on ensuring I have the right form and technique, as well as not injuring myself by ignoring my body’s limits. Lisa is amazing! I work out 4-6 days a week at home and she gave me a new, fun and exciting workout- pushing me and encouraging me more than I could do myself. She is motivational and encouraging while showing and demonstrating proper techniques and giving tips while we go. If there was an exercise I couldn't complete, she offered an alternative or a modified exercise so I was still able to complete the move. I also loved that I had all my equipment ready and available at my station; I didn't have to walk back and forth for different weights or wipe down after every exercise because we weren't sharing equipment. Check out StudioU! It will be worth it!
